I DID IT !!! I p-ranked the first act of ultrakill for the first time, and made it to minos' boss fight!! :D

can i just say that I am SO grateful for the accessibility options and assists in ultrakill? like, yeah i make my jokes about being dogshit at this game. but, like, honestly, i haven't played an FPS in almost 20 years. I've felt way too out of my depth to try, because I already have mobility issues with my hands, the learning curve seems so steep, and I really don't like the prospect of humiliating myself.

Watching playthroughs had me worried I would be too overwhelmed to enjoy the game, but being able to use things like aim assist? Being able to play on harmless and have slower enemies? I'm actually able to ENJOY this game, not just throw myself at the same level over and over until I feel embarrassed and stop playing entirely.

And the way that they're phrased--things like "minor assists" and "major assists" rather than "cheats"? talking about the easier difficulties with things like "for a less stressful experience" as opposed to making it seem like having an easy mode is for people who just ~aren't willing to put in the effort to get good~? It makes me feel so much less judged for not being familiar enough with this genre to jump right in on the hardest difficulty. It feels remarkably kind.

It's also been incredibly helpful! I've only been playing for a week-ish, but playing on harmless has helped me figure out the mechanics without just, like, dying every two seconds. I spent over an hour in the sandbox today just really focusing on how to move my hands in the right way to actually get around while being able to see where I'm going.

Today I was finally able to play through the whole prelude on lenient instead of harmless, and with 20% aim assist instead of 40%! And I only fell into three blade fans instead of, like, twelve! I got through Cerberus without resetting once! I've never even gotten to Cerberus before! The amount of improvement I have been able to make has literally been night and day. Am I good at this game? Without a doubt, I am not! And I'm fine with that. I take pride in being God's worst mistake. But I actually feel excited to play, and it just makes me appreciate this game and hakita as a dev so, so much.

Hi!! Finally decided to start using a hobby that I've loved doing to give myself a few extra things to do on the side, whilst earning a few bucks too! Personally, I really like writing Yuri and romance in general but I don't find myself limited to that genre, dabbling a lot in horror and adventure before. What's off Limits? Drawing all ULTRAKILL enemies Day 1:

Soooo, I’ve decided to challenge myself with drawing all the enemies from ultrakill, in (probably vain) hopes that the final act of the game will feel like it’s come out sooner

Anyway, have some filth :)

Headcanons (+ explanation on why these have arms) under the cut

Okay so hear me out right

The terminal entry only says they’re unimportant and weak enough not to form a complete body, not specifically that they have just legs

Therefore, I’ve come to the conclusion that, despite most filth having just legs and a head, on some rare occasions there exists a filth who has only arms, or an arm and a leg, or the entire body aside from the head

The reason for this is purely survival. Filth with legs and teeth can pursue their prey easier than others, therefore anything else is considered an evolutionary maladaptation (not that they have enough intelligence to even exclude other filth from their circles, but eh, you get the point)

They’re also plagued with a permanent feeling of hunger, despite not really needing to eat that much (I hc husks are sustained mostly by Hell energy). Due to their low intelligence they will attack other husks to try and sate that feeling

Their body is covered in slightly burnt flesh, hence the darker than in-game color

Sooo here's my attempt at a Hollow Knight x Ultrakill crossover

But instead of giving you all the design and calling it a day like I usually do, imma go ahead and do a section below to explain my design choices cuz why not :

Starting with V1's design:

-Since we know that V1's a robot, it was the logical thing to do to give them a similar design to Steel Soul Jinn, considering she has the same speech patern and design as a robot (also there's a type of enemy in silksong who is similar but i'm not gonna show pics of them cuz spoilers and stuff). Plus I tried adding elements that would make V1's recognizable

-Since there's no firearms in Hollow knight (...yet), I just went with "V1 has different types of magics."

-Also, bug's blood (or soul idk) is white in the game, so they can harnest it with the gems on their chest (gem that is seen on Jinn too)

Next our fav babygirl, Gabriel: (gotta admit, it wasn't easy)

-So again with light spoilers for silksong: there a boss at the top of the citadelle that more or less has the same vibes as gabriel in terms of design (they have 2 sword, they're mainly golden, black and white, they're some sort of skilled guardian according to speculations), so I decided to inspire myself from this one abit (mainly for the bodyshape)

-Also, something I wanted to avoid was just slaping Gabriels armor on the base and call it a day...So I decided to give him fur to give this idea of a godly power (cuz Radiance's fluffy and moth are linked to some mystic powers)

-Modified his wings to be more fitting for a bug (like I did with V1 haha) and tried to write alphabet to replace the letters on gabe's halo and wings.

-And finally, modified his weapons too so they fit better ^^

Oh and if you made it this far, you can drop a request in my inbox and tell me which Ultrakill character should I turn into a hollow knight character next (I mean, there's gonna be Minos and Sisyphus first, but I can still see witch one should I do next)

I do have a partner, and I will always talk about them given the opportunity, but I carry a certain form of love for all of my close friends. The people I know mean a lot to me.

I love the simple things in life, from food, to nature, to the contrast of light and dark in both a literal and literary sense. I often find myself overwhelmed by everything that goes on in the world, but I find comfort in knowing the bad stuff is only a few bad people out of a beautifully diverse species.

If you couldn't tell, I generally prefer looking on the bright side and finding something to love about things rather than staying miserable all of the time. I don't get out much, and so I'd much rather give people that light to hold onto than spread the same old bleak story that you've heard from countless other people, regardless of how important it is to share. Change is built on hope, after all.

Change is something I believe in, more than any normal god. It's all around us, from the seasons, to the stars, to the rain, to the fleeting emotions of ours. I believe in our ability to change things, that we can all make a positive impact on our own lives, the lives of others, and the world. I believe in our ability to change ourselves, and that people shouldn't be afraid to become who they want to be. I believe some level of change is necessary for a happy life, and I strive to leave every day as a better version of myself.

Normally people put a DNI in their bio or their pinned post, but I don't really care to do that. If you're a bitch, I'll block and move on. I don't care how you use a label, or where the other folks in your head came from, or whatever other queer-adjacent drama is the hot topic, I accept you regardless. I'm ace, I still love my partner, I can love anyone, I use it/its pronouns, I'm robokin, I've got four other folks in my head and I don't know how they got here, do you really think I'd hate you for being you?

That's actually an important point- even if I do think something someone's done is unforgivable, I believe that bad people are still people. In some ways, that makes things better, they have lives outside of what they commit, but it also makes things worse when you realize someone woke up and actively chose to perpetuate genocide. Some people are genuinely that bad, others are just misguided and can be helped. Ultimately, it's not my job to "save" anyone. I just try to provide a light of kindness when I can.

Wow, that was long-winded for a post that's just supposed to describe me. I suppose that's in-character for me, though. Agree with me or not, I don't really care, as long as you're respectful. MOTIVATION

So here my lil life story and a goofy ahh (ru/eng) MOTIVATION poster

Since i enrolled the college and get myself a dormitory room, me and my friends start making hand drawn meme posters. Like this (translation in alt):

This year was my last college year which meant that I had to do a graduation project (a lot of work in a small amount of time). I've been working for days. Had a lack of sleep or didn't sleep at all. In the end I got sick of it all and completely lost any motivation to do anything at all. And then ULTRAKILL™ kicks in my life out of nowhere. So I started to negotiate with myself: "If I do [x] I can play [x] levels". That helped me buuut just a little. I always got distracted anyways. So I came up with drawing this poster. Put it right in front of me, so when I get distracted again or or I had no will to work I would look up and see it. And my thoughts go " OH SHIT I HAVE TO WORK".

Also I'm an interior designer. And putting textures is one of the final stages of my graduation project. And I got tired of it all again. So I basically said : "FUCK IT" and put Minos (and Emogene Cabot from fallout 4) portrait in my project. Believe me or not I got "A" grade for the project. So I suppose Minos brings luck??!

I have come to the decision to take a break from forcing myself to work on ficwriting over the summer. Imsorry

It was a tough decision to make, but in the long run i've come to the realization that it's better for my mental health, not having a phantom deadline on me right now. ;u;

However!! This does not mean that I will stop posting regular content, MD content OR solver-bound stuff! The solver-bound fic series is not cancelled! I'm actually hoping I can use some of my time outside of work to get some character designs finalized and out to you guys, as well as finalizing lore and whatnot so I can actually get the chapters out and keep my fucking plotlines in order.

And maybe i'll finally get some of those lore drabbles done and out, y'all seem to like Despina- and i've got some new oc's cooking up, murder drones [shipkids], ultrakill, and other flavors of artemis' hyperfixations!

i really like minos prime's theme btw, it's unironically something i listen to daily a fuller list in no particular order: ultrakill, celeste, nso, nine sols, jsab, ender lilies, hollow knight, stardew valley, slime rancher and sr2, undertale and deltarune, yume nikki (but not really anymore), a hat in time, unfortunately league of legends

i also unfortunately play roblox and have a very great selection of games that i am definitely normal about :] i fuck heavy with block tales, pressure, grace, dandy's world, entry point, decaying winter, combat initiation, dream game, doomspire defense and hours

contrary to popular belief, i do in fact go outside i like playing rhythm games (please do not call gd a rhythm game in front of me btw /srs) i'm a hardstuck 11.7X arcaea thumbs player, casual phigros and cytus2 player and i am an avid pjsk disliker. i've also played osu, muse dash and unfortunately fnf below is a demonstration of my profound skill issue

as for arcade rhythm games, i started playing maimai and chunithm this year and within the span of maybe a month, i reached 13.7 in chuni and took maybe a total of 10-12 days across the span of a few months to reach 11.2k in maimai which i'm pretty proud of :)

i have tried sdvx and ddr as well but i much prefer maimai and chunithm since all i need to do is move my upper body and not have to coordinate myself as hard :'D

CHAINSTROYER

Hey so I made myself an Ultrakill oc based on Swordsmachine. Love that fucker and I made my own version of it.

Lore details under the cut.

While its original purpose and design is a mystery to most, it is mostly known by enthusiasts by its time as a swordsmachine copycat. However, after facing several rough defeats in battle, it sought to create it's own fighting style - one much different from the original inspiration - to become more powerful, or at least, less predictable.

After years of scavenging and bloodshed, it finally managed to make a name for itself among other machines. And while the Chainsaw Hand from which its name originates is certaintly a big part of it, even more so is it's Atomic Arm, a strange and powerful piece of machinery of unknown origin. No one knows from where it came from, or how it came into the posession of such a weak machine. It boasts to have obtained it in combat, but some speculate it was granted as a gift by some higher being.

Nevertheless, it is clear that this robot's ambitions far outweigh it's capabilities. Despite packing a powerful punch, it's terribly inefficient and painfully fragile - to the point that it's own attacks damage them. Its contantly in a state of repair, and what pieces of blood-soaking armor it has can barely make up for it. Despite this, it reserves energy for a voice system - one of the more obvious remnants of its origins as an imitation.

It's clear that pure determination, and its powerful arm, is all that's keeping it together.
