It’s come to my attention I’m turning into my mother.

#i started using her swear words #i wear her old pants #a pharmacist asked if I had kids #and a nurse thought I was my kid sisters mother #‘what the dickens’ is a common phrase #I’ve started saying it unironically #I ATE AND ENJOYED A SLICE OF SUPREME PIZZA #I HAVE AVOIDED THAT SHIT MY ENTIRE LIFE #CAUSE I DIDNT LIKE OLIVES #I ATE THE PIZZA #AND I ENJOYED IT #HELP ME #(also for the age thing #i was at class one day and some kid asked me my age #he thought I was 17 #this man let me drive him around #in a car I own and pay for #WE WERE ATTENDING CLASSES AT COLLEGE #AND HE INVITED ME OUT FOR BURGERS AT A BAR #AND HE THOUGHT I WAS 17????)#also like three months later he pretended we were getting married as a joke #one that I was not a part of #like I was not paying attention at all #then I just hear #‘so fancy! dressed up to go to a wedding?#and he just grips my shoulders and goes #‘yup! I’m watching the movie Tales of Halloween with the Hot Wife. She’s reading her book on the couch next to me.

Hot Wife: (looks up and watches 30 seconds of the movie) I know that actor.

Me: He doesn’t look familiar to me at all.

Hot Wife: He’s been in a bunch of stuff.

I keep watching, she goes back to reading. Movie ends and the credits roll.

Hot Wife: (reading the credits and spotting the actor’s name) He was the Captain of the Equinox in an episode of (Star Trek) Voyager.

Me: (immediately looks up John Savage on IMDb) That episode was from 1999! Our third date was in 1999, but I bet you don’t remember that!

Hot Wife: I’ve seen that episode of Voyager several times. We only went on that date once!
