The Things You Give Pt 12
zSteven Hyde x Reader
Thank you all for being so patient! I’m so happy you guys are enjoying the story :)
Y/N sat in her room, crying on Hyde’s shoulder.
“Hey, doll, it’s okay,” he soothed, rubbing her back and caressing her hair. “He’ll get over it and we’ll all go back to being friends.”
“That’s not the only reason,” she whined and leaned back, showing him her big, puffy eyes. “I feel like our bond is destroyed.”
“It’s not, man,” he responded and tucked some hair behind her ear, stroking her face. “Look, Eric is just pissed off right now. Give him a couple days to cool off and he’ll come around.”
“No, you don’t get it. He’s never been this mad at me before. We’ve always been okay after a few hours, but not this long. I feel like I ruined it.”
“He’s your brother,” he said. “He loves you and he can’t stay mad at you long. It’ll be okay, I promise.”
Y/N pouted and nodded, tears resurfacing. “I’m sorry.”
“For what?” he asked, chuckling.
“For getting you in this mess.”
“Hey, don’t think that,” he said sternly. “I got us in this mess as much as you. It’s not just your fault.”
She sniffed. “Why is it that our happiness only matters when everyone else approves?”
He sighed, holding her tight. “I don’t know, Doll.”
She hummed and fell silent, thinking about how she could fix this.

“So, how’s the baby?” Jackie asked Kelso as they all sat in the basement. This time, Eric joined them but was he was extremely and eerily quiet. Y/N sat on the floor, situated between Hyde’s legs as he sat in his usual chair. Eric sat on the opposite side of the room, not bothering to glance at the couple.
“She’s doing good,” Kelso beamed. “She’s so cute like me, but also beautiful like Brooke.”
“Oh, that is so cute!” Y/N gushed. “When can we meet her?”
“Probably not for another month or so,” Kelso pouted. “Brooke doesn’t want her near other people right now because of cold and flu season. I even offered to give her some orange juice because my mom always gives me it when I’m sick and she got mad at me!”
“Kelso, you can’t give a baby orange juice,” Donna said casually.
“Yeah, huh,” he replied, sucking on a popsicle. “If she can handle milk, she should be able to handle orange juice.”
“Yes, it’s probably best to have Brooke make all the parenting decisions,” Fez said.
“But, I’m her daddy,” he said sadly. “I just want her to know that I’m smart and love her too.”
“Awe, Kelso,” Y/N cooed. “Of course, she’s going to know that. She’s going to look up to you and when she’s older, she’s going to think you’re her hero. I know I do with my dad.”
“Don’t lie to the guy,” Hyde said without looking away from the tv. “She’s going to be doing dumb stuff with him too. Probably be the brains behind it all and watch him get hurt.”
For a minute Kelso looked offended but then smiled and laughed. “Yeah, that’s probably true.”
“You’re going to be great. Don’t worry,” Y/N said.
“Don’t flatter him,” Hyde said, but with a smirk.
“Why?” Eric piped up. “You afraid that she’ll date him too?”
“Really?” Y/N asked, annoyed. “You’re going to do this now?”
“I just don’t understand how anyone of you can sit here and think this is okay. Or normal,” Eric replied without looking up.
“Forman, man, will you shut up?” Hyde said. “It’s been two days.”
“I know you’re still mad at us, but your snide remarks aren’t welcome,” Y/N quipped.
“I’m not welcome?” Eric asked, angrily.
“No, dumbass that’s not what I’m—”
“No, I know what you’re saying,” he said darkly. “You know what? You’re not welcome.”
Y/N rolled her eyes at him; completely done with his dramatics. “Don’t be stupid, Eric.”
“No, you and him aren’t welcome.”
“I live here too, you moron,” Hyde said. “Where do you expect us to go?”
“Anywhere but here,” Eric replied, staring daggers at the couple. “I don’t care as long as I don’t have to see you.”
“Yeah? And what’re you going to do? Force us out?” Hyde pushed. “A spaghetti noodle is stronger than you!”
“If I tell Red you will,” Eric said, setting his jaw. “I’m not going to sit here and pretend that I’m okay with this.”
“Eric, shut up,” Donna said. “You’re being an ass.”
“You’re blackmailing us?” Y/N asked, making a face.
“Damn right. Either you leave or Dad finds out.”
“You tell Dad and I’ll tell him about your trip to the jail cell!”
“But this is an abomination!” Eric squeaked. “Sinful, disgusting, horrible!”
“You done?” Hyde asked, annoyed.
“I’m not doing this in front of everyone,” Y/N said. “I just want to hang out with our friends without arguing.”
“No, I want you guys out of here,” he said. “Out of this group. You don’t get to be a part of it if you’re going to split it up.”
“How are we splitting it up?!” Y/N shouted, getting angry. “This isn’t West Side Story.”
“Stop, Eric!” Donna said, standing up. “Just because you don’t want them here doesn’t mean we don’t.”
“Thank you, Donna,” Y/N said.
“What the hell? You’re on their side?” Eric asked, raising his voice.
“Yes, I am!” she shouted back. “Why shouldn’t I be? They’re our friends and if you’d open your eyes, you’d see that they’re really happy.”
“I don’t care if they’re happy!” he shouted.
“How can you say that?” Fez asked. “You selfish son of a bitch.”
“How am I supposed to be happy when I had to hear you describe how my sister is in bed?!”
“I don’t care what you say. It was hilarious,” Hyde said.
“See? How can I care when you two obviously do not?” Eric shouted.
“At least you heard about it,” Donna argued. “I saw it.”
“Ew!” Eric shouted, covering his ears.
“Alright!” Kelso shouted happily. “How were Y/N’s boobs?”
“Shut up, Kelso!” Eric, Y/N, Hyde, and Donna said un unison.
“I can’t and I won’t ever accept it,” Eric spat.
“Well, it’s a good thing we’re not dating to impress you,” Hyde snorted.
A sudden weight had dropped itself on Y/N’s chest. Her heart felt like it was barley holding up it’s own weight. “So, what are you saying? You want us to break up?”
Eric didn’t respond, but stare at the ground harshly. He knew if he said it, he would be labeled the king of jackasses of all eternity.
“You really are a selfish son of a bitch,” Y/N said and stomped out of the basement.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Hyde asked him. “Why do you have to be such a dillhole?”
“I’m the dillhole?!” Eric asked, surprised. “How am I the dillhole when you’re the one who lied to me while screwing my sister?!” He gagged at the thought and thickly swallowed. “Unpleasant.”
“Well, you know what, Forman? Get the hell over it. You always say that she deserves someone who is good for her. And you know what? That’s what I am.”
“No, you’re not!” Eric shouted, silencing the whole room, including Hyde himself. The look on Hyde’s face made Eric break his gaze and turn around, rubbing his neck.
Hyde stood there in complete shock as pain flooded through his chest. But it was quickly replaced with anger. Donna looked at her boyfriend with absolute disgust. Everyone else looked at each other with wide eyes and jaws dropped.
Hyde didn’t know what to say, except for a harsh, “What?”
“I didn’t stutter, did I?”
Hyde’s breathing became labored and all he could do was stay frozen in place.
“You’re not good enough for her,” Eric continued calmly and darkly. “She is going places. The only place you’re going to is prison.”
“Eric!” Donna shouted. “That’s enough!”
“So, that’s what you really think of me,” Hyde stated as fact instead of a question. “This whole time you’re supposed to be my friend, all you’ve thought about me is not doing anything with my life.”
“Look at how your life has turned out so far!” Eric continued. “You’ve already been to jail multiple times, all you do is smoke, and not once have I heard what you plan on doing with your life besides staying a burnout. That’s no life for my sister.” He daringly stepped closer to Hyde and pointed a finger at him. “And don’t you dare tell me how to be a friend. Friends don’t do this.”
All Hyde could do was glare at the guy in front of him with clenched fists. He wanted to punch him so bad, but he knew it would only make the situation worse.
“Eric, please tell me,” Donna piped up after a minute of silence. “What makes this any different than what Kelso was doing to Laurie?”
“That’s different!” he answered. “Laurie is just a whore who ended up cheating on him anyway. Y/N…Y/N’s different. She actually feels and cares about the people in her life. And I’m not going to standby and watch you hurt her!”
“And what makes you think Hyde is going to hurt her?” Donna pressed.
“Because he’s done it to other girls! Including Jackie!”
“Hey, don’t bring my name into this,” Jackie responded sassily. “And for the record, I broke up with him. No one dumps Jackie Burkhart.”
“I don’t care how happy she makes you,” Eric continued, ignoring her. “Because sooner or later, you’re going to get bored of her and leave her hanging. Just like the other girls.”
Hyde clenched his jaw, keeping his burning stare on Eric. “Go to hell, Forman!” he shouted. “You don’t know jack. At least I’m not the one who bailed after I asked her to marry me.”
“Don’t you dare bring that up!” Eric yelled at Hyde, his voice deepening. “This isn’t about me!”
“Now I’m making it about you!” Hyde yelled back. “You’re sitting here lecturing me about bailing and hurting Y/N when you couldn’t even do the same for Donna!” As he was shouting at Eric, spit had flown out of his mouth. “So, shut the hell up before I shut it up for you!”
“I’m not the one dating my best friend’s sister!”
“You’re still not better than me!” Hyde shouted back. “I would never do that to Y/N! I’ve never felt this way about anybody before and I refuse to let you stand in the way of that!”
“No!” Eric was huffing and puffing at this point. “I’ve stood by long enough letting you guys do whatever the hell you wanted! You’ve burned me, both physically and verbally, melted my freaking G.I Joes, gotten me in trouble with Red more times than I can count, and even let me sit in a freaking jail cell with no pants because everyone let me take the fall. This is where I cross the damn line.”
“First of all, I ended up in that same jail cell after trenching old man Jenkin’s yard to make it up to you,” Hyde countered. “And second of all, I’ve always been there for you through every dumbass thing you caused or that happened to you. I’ve had to look after you all these years just to make sure you didn’t get your ass kicked.”
“I never asked for any of that,” Eric responded, setting his jaw and crossing his arms.
Hyde felt like he had been punched in the gut. He had spent years looking after Eric as he would if he were his own brother and for what? For Eric to throw it in his face? Hyde now felt like he had wasted so much time.
“You know what? I’m outta here,” he said and stomped towards the door.
“Good!” Eric shouted after him. “Go ahead! It proves to me what you’re good at: running away!”
“If you’d like to keep your teeth, I’d suggest you’d shut the hell up!” Hyde shouted, veins popping out of his neck. “Consider this friendship over.” With that he slammed the door shut, causing the door hinges to rattle.
Everyone stared at Eric with dropped jaws and disappointed, furrowed looks. Except for Donna. Only fire and fury burned in her eyes.
Eric sighed and turned to her. “Look, Donna, I—”
“Save it,” she said curtly. “I don’t want to hear it.”
“But, I—” he tried to defend himself, but Donna cut him off once again.
“I don’t care what your excuse is!” she snapped, raising her voice. “You’ve done a lot of stupid and messed up things and made yourself look like an ass, but this one tops it off. You were such a jackass that you made Kelso look like a saint!”
“You know what? You’d be pissed too if you had a sister and Hyde was nailing her,” he defended.
“Maybe, but I wouldn’t have reacted the way you did,” she replied. “I don’t care what is going on between them, the way you treated them was way out of line. And I can’t even look at you right now!”
“Yeah, Eric,” Fez said and stood from his seat. “You kick them out of the group, but we still want them here. If anything, you should be the one to leave.”
“Fez! What the hell?” Eric asked with his arms open and eyes wide. “How can you be on their side?”
“Because they’re happy,” Fez answered with his cute and innocent self. “And they’re good together.”
“Why does everyone keep saying that?!” Eric shouted.
“Because it’s true, you walnut!” Donna practically screamed. “I can’t believe how unbelievably dumb and selfish you’re being! This isn’t even about you! In fact, it’s about them and if you’re going to keep acting this way, I don’t want to be near you.”
“Does everyone feel this way?” he asked, exasperated.
“Yeah, pretty much,” Jackie answered, nodding along with Kelso.
“Well, that’s just great!” Eric shouted. “Then all of you can get out too.”
“Gladly!” Donna shouted and stormed out.
“See ya,” Jackie said, skipping out.
“Dude…” Kelso trailed off, shaking his head and sulked out the basement.
“Sorry, Eric,” Fez said and laid a hand on his shoulder. “If you weren’t such a jerk, you’d still have all your friends here. But now, you’re all alone.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Eric said, brushing off his hand. “See ya later.”
Fez frowned. “If you’d see past your anger, maybe you can see how happy they are and actually feel something towards each other. I wouldn’t call that a bad thing.”
With that being said, Fez walked out the basement, gently shutting the door, leaving a seething Eric standing alone.
“I heard yelling,” Kitty said concerned as she came down the stairs.
“Yeah, there was,” Eric sighed and rubbed a hand down his face.
“What happened this time?”
“Y/N and Hyde are—” he stopped himself before he could cause any further collateral damage.
Kitty stared at him confused. “Y/N and Steven are what, honey?”
Eric sighed again, rubbing his neck and tried to keep his voice steady. “They are the most annoying people on the planet.”
“Why’s that?”
“Because they…” he couldn’t think of anything good to say on the spot, so he improvised the best he could. “They stole and broke my G.I Joes.”
“And you’re yelling over that?” she asked, tilting her head to the side.
“Yeah…it was my favorite ones.”
“Oh, honey, you can always go buy more,” she said, turning her back on him to head back up the stairs. “But I’ll talk to them.”
She swayed back upstairs, leaving Eric completely alone. After she was out of sight, he collapsed onto the couch feeling completely spent. Why had he lied to Kitty about what they were fighting about? Why did he cover for them when he so badly wanted to tell her the truth?
He slumped back into the cushions of the couch, sighing once again, but this time he didn’t have anything else to say. He was alone and he knew he had messed up.
--Time Skip—
“So, you ended the friendship?” Y/N asked Steven, playing with his fingers. They sat at the Hub, waiting for everyone else to show up.
Hyde sighed heavily and ran a hand through his curls. “Yeah, I did.”
“Because of me,” Y/N whispered and looked away, letting out a shaky breath. She felt a heaviness settle in her stomach. Like an anvil had made its way inside. “Oh God, I’m so sorry Steven.”
“No, no,” he replied and grabbed her hands, holding them firmly. “Don’t say that. It maybe about you, but I didn’t end the friendship because of you. I ended it because of him.”
“But none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t gotten in the way,” she whimpered. “I broke up a lifelong friendship.”
“Hey, Y/N look at me,” he said and cupped her cheek. Her watery eyes met his. “Yeah, this sucks, but if I had to choose between being with you and keeping my friendship with your dillhole brother, I’d choose you. A thousand times over.”
“But I’m not worth it,” she said, a stray tear escaping down her cheek. “I never meant for this to blow up the way it did. Maybe this was a mistake.”
“You really feel that way?” Hyde asked, a sharp pain stabbing him in the chest. “Is that what you want?”
“Of course not, but it’s caused so much damage to the group. We can’t even hang out anymore.”
“If it wasn’t for Eric’s blow up, we’d all still be in the basement hanging out right now,” Hyde responded, ignoring the pain he was feeling. “The only person causing this is him.”
“But it wouldn’t have happened if we hadn’t hooked up!”
Hyde sighed through his nose. “Look, I’ve never felt this way about anyone before and I’m not going to let it go just because some idiot wants me to. Only if you want me to.” He tilted her chin to make her look at him. “Do you want me to?”
She was quiet for a moment, looking in his intense blue eyes. She could see the hope and fear that lay within and knew she couldn’t leave him; because she felt the same. She couldn’t ignore her pounding heart when she was near him, or the butterflies that would erupt in her stomach when he would say something sweet to her; like he is now. Or that settling safety that she felt when he had his arm around her.
Before, she felt a timer with Zack and any other guy she may had dated. She knew her time with them wouldn’t last and that timer continued to tick until their time was up. That is until she ended up with Steven. The timer had stopped and gone silent, and she knew he was going to stay. For the first time, she felt at peace and warmed by him. He was her home as she was his.
Y/N swallowed thickly before shaking her head. “No. No I don’t.” She gave him a small smile and his muscles relaxed, a smile reaching his eyes. “I choose you a thousand times over.”
He smiled at her and grabbed her face gently between his hands. “Yeah, baby, a thousand times over.”
As he leaned in to kiss her, a loud “Aweeee!” came from behind them.
Y/N and Steven turned their heads to look at the group standing there, large grins plastered on their faces.
“No, no, go on. Go ahead and kiss her,” Donna gushed and laughed, sitting at the table.
Hyde and Y/N pulled away from each other and leaned back. “Moment ruined,” she commented.
“How long were you guys standing there?” Hyde asked nervously.
“Not long,” Donna responded and smirked at him. “’Baby.’”
“I choose you a thousand times over,” Kelso mocked and started making kissy faces at Fez.
“Man, what the hell are you doing?” Hyde asked.
“I don’t know, but it’s funny,” Kelso responded and continued doing it.
Y/N chuckled and shoved Kelso, making him laugh. “So, Fez, where’s Caroline? Haven’t seen her around.”
“You probably scared her off,” Jackie laughed. “Finally someone who is crazier than her.”
“Yeah, but she uses it for good,” Hyde said, smiling.
“Actually, I broke up with her,” Fez replied. “She tried to stab me again.”
“Wait, again?” Y/N asked. “What do you mean by ‘again’?”
“Well, she tried to stab me once before and I told her that a man can only take so much,” he replied. “So, after the fourth or fifth time, I finally left.”
The group looked at each other concerned while Y/N fumed. “I’m gonna go find her.” She stood from her chair, but Hyde quickly grabbed her hand.
“No need,” Fez replied calmly, a smug look painting his handsome face, watching as Y/N sat back down. “I put her back in the mental ward.”
“How did you do that?” Hyde asked.
“I called the police, duh,” he responded.
“How did all this happen and not any of us know?” Donna asked concerned.
“Well, I didn’t get the chance with the whole Y/N, Hyde, and Eric dramatics.”
“What the hell?” Y/Nasked, furrowing her brows. “Fez this is much more important than our petty drama. You should’ve told us!”
“Thanks Y/N,” he responded sweetly. “I like you better than Eric.”
Y/N chuckled and tossed her hair over her shoulder. “Everybody does.”
The gang chuckled before turning their attention to Hyde.
“So, Steven where are you going to live now that you and Eric aren’t friends anymore?” Jackie asked.
“I honestly don’t know,” Hyde answered. “I was thinking maybe I could get a few more days over there. Gives me enough time to come up with an excuse.”
“You can stay with me,” Kelso offered. “My brothers are out of the house and we have an extra bedroom.”
“Thanks Kelso,” Hyde said and gave him a pat on the shoulder. “I’ll have to think about that one. I don’t need to be near a crying baby.”
“She doesn’t cry,” Kelso defended. “She just mainly sleeps and eat.”
“Well, to be fair, you only have her for a few hours a couple nights a week,” Jackie said.
“In my country, babies are a huge symbol of good luck and fortune,” Fez commented.
“Why’s that?” Donna asked.
Fez shrugged. “I never understood that part. I guess it appeases the gods or some crap like that. Fertile and continuing of our kind. But I always thought that was a bunch of bull hockey. Babies are loud and needy.”
“They’re babies Fez,” Jackie said. “They can’t take care of themselves.”
“Eh,” he replied. “They’re still nuisances.”
“So, if we were to stay together and we had a baby, that’s what you would think of that?”
“I don’t know. You never gave us a chance to find out,” he responded bitterly.
“Oooh,” Hyde said under his breath while everyone backed away from the table.
“You can’t be serious,” Jackie argued. “We broke up three weeks ago. And in that time, you brought home another girl.”
“Oh, and like you haven’t?!” Fez asked.
Hyde closed his eyes, lips tight, trying not to laugh at his friend’s poor choice of words. Y/N shook her head and Donna covered her mouth with her hand, trying to contain her giggles. Kelso was already dreaming of Jackie and some other girl getting it on.
Jackie’s face scrunched up in confusion. “No, Fez. I haven’t brought anyone home. C’mon, can we have a decent conversation like adults?”
“No,” he said, frowning at her. “You hurt me like when a child gets his langamigna taken away from him.”
“When a child gets what taken from him?” Hyde asked.
“Lollipop in my language,” he answers and turns his glare back to Jackie.
“I’m sorry, Fez,” Jackie said. “Look, I want us to be friends again.”
Fez looked at everyone and as if they got the hint, they all got up, leaving them two alone.
“What do you want me to say?” he asked her, leaning back against the chair and shoved his hands in his pockets. “You want me to accept your apology and have us go back to normal? Like you never ripped my heart out to begin with?”
“Well, no, not exactly,” she responded and scooted closer to him. “I was hoping we could work on becoming friends again.”
Fez glared at her with tears beginning to well in his eyes. “How can I be just your friend when I was so in love with you and still am?”
Jackie looked down at her lap and sniffed. “I know, I do too. But we should still try.”
Fez leaned forward and grabbed her hands, anger completely dissipated. “Then what’s stopping us? Didn’t you always say that love conquers all?”
Jackie looked up into his deep, dark eyes; completely melting into them. Her lip quivered as she spoke. “This time love isn’t enough,” she whispered.
A single tear slipped down Fez’s cheek and he quickly retracted his hands from hers and quickly wiped at his face. “Why?” he asked. “Why isn’t our love enough?”
“Because we’re not right for each other,” she whimpered.
From a few feet away, the gang was listening in with sad faces. Y/N leaned into Hyde, him throwing an arm around her and pulled her close. Donna leaned against the window with crossed arms, looking at the floor, and Kelso squeezing her shoulder.
“What do you mean it’s not enough?”
Jackie shook her head, barley containing her tears. “We’re just not right for each other. I see it, you see it, even the group sees it. We just never matched the way a couple should.”
“I’ve always loved you,” he whispered, looking down at the floor.
She reached over and cupped his cheek. “I know.” She smiled sadly at him and met his eyes. “And I will always love you.”
Fez looked at her before leaning in to give her one last, loving kiss. Jackie melted into the kiss, tears streaming faster down her face. She brought her hands up to his face as he deepened the kiss, pulling her closer to him.
When he pulled away, he leaned his forehead against hers. “We could’ve been great, you know.”
“But we weren’t,” she breathed.
Fez nodded his head and pulled away. “I know.”
“But, you showed me what it felt like to be loved and appreciated and that’s all I ever wanted,” Jackie said, trying to lift the mood. “I didn’t have to worry if you were out with other girls or going to run away. Thank you for showing me what I deserve.”
“Thank you for loving me despite being the weird one of the group,” Fez laughed half heartedly.
“I call it eccentric,” Jackie giggled sadly. “You deserve someone who will love every part of you. The good, the bad, and the weird. You deserve to have real chemistry with someone. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be her. But she’ll come along and you’ll forget all about me.”
Fez gave her a sad smile. “I could never forget you.”
“You’re right, you can’t,” Jackie chuckled. “No man can.”
They laughed softly together and stared into each other eyes.
“I love you, Jackie.”
“I love you, too, Fez.”
They stood and reached over, enveloping each other in their arms, holding tight.
“Are we…are we okay?” Jackie asked once they pulled apart.
“Yes,” Fez said and brushed some hair off her shoulder. “We are. I need you in my life. Whether it’s as a friend or my girlfriend, I still need you.”
“And I need you.”
They smiled at each other for a minute before Fez looked at his watch. He sighed and clapped his hands together. “I, uh, I better get going. I have to go do something with my host parents.”
Jackie nodded. “Sure, sure. See you later?”
Fez smiled. “Yeah, of course.”
Jackie returned the smile. “Okay, see you later.”
“Bye,” Fez said quietly, leaning over and kissing her cheek. He zipped up his jacket and walked out into the crispy fall air of Point Place.
Tears of sadness and relief welled in Jackie’s eyes as she slumped back down in her chair.
“Jackie, are you okay?” Y/N asked as the group came back to surround her. She wrapped an arm around Jackie’s shoulders and squeezed.
“Yeah. I think so,” Jackie said, finally feeling like she could speak the truth about her feelings. “Yeah, yeah I am. It just won’t be the same for a while.”
“Jackie, no one’s asking for it to be,” Donna murmured to Jackie comfortingly.
“But I am,” Jackie responded and ran a hand through her hair.
“We’re here for you, Jackie,” Y/N said and laid her head on Jackie’s shoulders.
Jackie felt a weight had been lifted off her chest, but now new one, yet lighter one, now rested its way in there. She just wanted things to go back to normal. At least now the worst part of it was over.
“Yeah, we are,” Hyde said genuinely. “You need anything, you let us know.”
“Thanks, Steven,” Jackie said glumly, but looked at him confused. “This is unusually nice of you.”
“I do that a lot actually, yet people are always so surprised,” he chuckled once Jackie’s lips curved into a small smile. “But seriously, man, you’ve been there for me and Y/N during this whole mess. It’s only fair I return the favor.”
“Well, I didn’t do it to be owed a favor,” she said.
Hyde smiled kindly at her. “I know.”
She smiled back at him and wiped at her nose. “Thanks you guys.”
“You’re welcome, Jackie,” Kelso said. “Hey, if you want to, I can make you feel better if we—”
“Kelso, I swear to God if you say ‘do it’ I’m going to kick you in the head,” Y/N threatened.
“I was going to say do circle time! God!” Kelso cried out.
“Oh,” Y/N responded, surprised. “Yeah, that sounds good, then.”
“Yeah, I can do that,” Jackie said, standing and grabbing her coat off the back of the chair.
“Oh good ‘cause after smoke time, we should definitely do it,” Kelso laughed.
The gang groaned and turned to him.
“SHUT UP, KELSO!”

Feel free to reply to this post if you think I left out a good story!
I’ll repeat this at the end of every single post (seriously, I literally copy and paste this every single time): Speaking as someone who writes, it would be really cool if you guys decide to leave a review (or a comment, if the story is on AO3) in the stories you read, especially the unfinished ones. It really motivates the authors, and receiving a compliment is always a mood lifter. I’ve seen some authors updating stories after years because of nice reviews, so… yeah, this is just an idea.
The next category is: 100% Alternative Universe stories. Will post it soon!

get down tonight - imagine - steven hyde x oc
Get Down Tonight, KC and the Sunshine Band
summary: after accidentally slamming a door into steven hyde’s face, a fellow classmate catches his interest and he pays her a late-night visit.
warnings: drug usage and cursing
a/n: I am so glad I am writing one for Hyde, my favorite character of that 70′s show!!! also I know all the stoner terms since I myself am a hardcore stoner. so this was an absolute blast to write! enjoy y’all! there will definitely be more to this, I may make it a small series of stories with this same character and their storyline.
1976 - KENOSHA, WISCONSIN
She could see him across the dance-floor, dark and brooding yet somehow still as handsome as ever. She rolled her eyes and turned back to talk to her friends. Somehow she was angry at him for being so cool but so bad.
Steven Hyde always made her furious, especially at school.
When he wasn’t getting away with skipping school or sneaking out at night, he took the punishments without a care in the world, and continued to act so stupid. He never got in the trouble he deserved.
“Look at that burnout, always frowning.” one of her friends scoffed.
She nodded, “It annoys me.”
“Did you see him dancing with Donna Pinciotti earlier? Clearly she had no interest, don’t blame her.” another friend said while sipping on a water. She glanced back to the wall he was leaning against, still in the same position with the same look.
Around them couples were pouring out onto the floor. The girl sighed when she turned back to find her friends gone. With a huff she stood and knocked her chair over. The disco was supposed to be the most fun place around, a place where you could find friends and a partner to dance with.
She was expecting to waltz in and find a gentlemanly boyfriend, actually.
The bathroom was empty when she slammed the door open. For a few minutes she stood in front of the mirror examining her makeup and tightly curled hair. She frowned to herself and thought to herself, why does no one pick me?
After giving herself a quiet reassurance she left for the exit and was surprised to hear a thud on the other side of the door when she opened it. She sucked in a sharp breath and peered around the frame and gasped quietly.
Steven Hyde was laying on the floor with a hand to his nose, groaning just the tiniest bit.
She stuck a hand out, took it back, stuck it out, and finally held it back to herself with a wince. If she left before he sat up she would be in the clear, she could pretend like she hadn’t just rammed a door into his scruffy face.
She turned on her heel and began to walk away quickly but quietly, wincing at the tone of his voice when he called out, “What the hell, man? I can hear you walking away so don’t even think about walking away,”
Dead in her tracks, she took a deep breath and turned back to face him.
“Sorry, sorry, I thought-”
“Thought you could get away? Yeah, I saw you.” he growled as he sat up slowly with his hand still gloved over his nose, “You know hit-and-runs are illegal?”
A small smile threaten to pull at her lips but she held back, leaning down to offer him a hand.
“I said I was sorry, let me help you up,” she insisted.
Steven sighed and took her hand tightly, allowing her to help him stand. Dizziness took over upon standing up so quickly and he screwed his eyes shut, “What does a guy have to do to get a drink around here?”
“Wouldn’t know, don’t drink really.” she said as wiped her palm on the side of her dress.
Steven scoffed, “Why am I not surprised you don’t?” he smirked.
She frowned and crossed her arms, “What does that means?”
He shook his head, “I see the way you and your posse look at me. It doesn’t make me feel any worse about myself, ya know? My mother already does a great job at that,”
He watched her eyes flick to the ground, a telltale sign he had gotten his point across and that he’d probably made himself look even more like a delinquent. With a sigh he shoved his hands into his pockets, “Don’t you have a group to get back to and gossip with?”
She laughed, “They left me for the dance-floor.”
Steven nodded, “Ah, yes. Mine as well. . .”
For a moment it was quiet and awkward between the two. The sound of the deep bass of disco thrummed in the air and she could feel the vibrations in her bell-bottoms.
“Wanna get outta here and smoke some Mary Jane?”
“Are you INSANE?” she shrieked, earning a shushing from Steven.
“No, I’m not, and I think you’d be a little more sane if you smoked some with me.” he smirked, “I see you at school sometimes, you’re way uptight.”
She shook her head, “I don’t really know who you think I am or what I do, but that is not it.”
Steven raised his hands in defense, “I get it, I get it, just thought I’d offer since I have some to share. Spread the love, y’know?”
“Sure, spread the love. That’s very kind of you,” she said.
The song ended and she could hear her friends calling her name amongst the crowd. She turned back to Steven and crossed her arms, “Well, I’m sorry I slammed a door in your face. I hope your night gets better,” she said quietly.
Steven shoved his hands back into his pockets with a shrug, “Yeah, you too or, whatever.”
- - -
It was 11:00PM and her eyes would not stay shut. Her brain wouldn’t power down, either. Sleep seemed to be a distant dream for now. With a sigh she reached over and turned her lamp back on and opened one of the books by her bed.
Not five minutes later she could hear a faint tapping her bedroom window. The curtains were pulled over and she was not going to check who it was. Probably one of the Kelso brothers trying to bother her as they did once in a while.
The tapping stopped for a minute and she settled back under the covers and returned to her book.
Boom boom boom.
“Hey goody-goody, wanna see how my nose looks now?”
She jumped at the voice and set her book down momentarily to sit in surprise. Was Steven Hyde at her window?
“I don’t have all night, I can see your light is on, too.”
She scrambled out of bed and through a sweatshirt on before drawing the curtains and pulling up the blinds. There stood Steven Hyde in full-smirk glory, leaning on her windowsill. She winced at his bruising eye and nose, apologizing once more to him and he merely waved it off, “Makes me look tough.”
She opened the window and placed a hand at her hip, “What are you doing here? How do you know where I live?” she questioned angrily.
Steven shrugged, “Not that hard to look up an address. Plus I was bored, couldn’t sleep. Looks like we’ve got the same issue,” he grinned.
She crossed her arms, “Well I’m not letting you in here, I know what this means. Kelso’s tried it thousands of times-”
“First off, I’m not Kelso. Second, you don’t have to let me in. I’m fine standin’ out here by myself. And third,” he paused to reach into his jacket pocket and pulled out a freshly rolled joint, “Sometimes smoking alone isn’t all that fun.”
“What about that group you’re always with, Eric Forman? Kelso, that foreign kid? And Donna Pinciotii. . .why don’t you go smoke with them?”
“Already did.”
“Well go do it again,”
“Nah, it was getting boring. Plus, it’s hard to talk over Jackie Burkhart’s constant whining and her lips all over Kelso’s.”
The girl nodded silently and looked away, “Well I’m not gonna smoke it.”
“Fine, more for me.” he said as he pulled a lighter from his pocket, “D’ya mind?”
She looked behind her and made sure the door was locked before giving him the okay. He grinned at her approval and brought the lighter up to his face, holding the finely rolled joint between his lips.
Which she was currently staring at and couldn’t seem to tear her eyes from.
The smell hit her first and she recoiled, “Why does it smell like a skunk?”
Steven laughed and took a drag, “I love it.”
“How could you smoke something that smells like that?”
He shrugged his shoulders, “I guess you just get used to it, you learn to appreciate it the more you smoke. You can smell the nature in it, y’know? It’s a flower anyways, it’s got a sort-of earthy smell to it before you light up.”
She laughed, “You really are a stoner like they say,”
“What else do they say?” he asked, leaning closer to her from the windowsill.
She looked away, “A lot of things. . .”
“I’ve got all the time right now, sweetheart.”
“Don’t call me that,” she pointed at him, “Besides, none of it’s really nice anyways.”
“You think I care what a bunch of school girls think about me?” he said defensively, “I can assure you I have been called worse.”
“Don’t say that-”
“Why, cause it makes you uncomfortable to hear about how shitty my life is compared to yours?”
“No,” she said firmly, glaring at him.
He scoffed, “Okay, I’ll spare you the sob story then.”
“Why are you here, Steven?”
“Oh god don’t call me that, please. Just call me Hyde, everyone else does.”
“Alright then, Hyde, why are you here smoking a joint at my window?” she asked as she stepped closer, arms still crossed over her chest.
He took another long drag and looked away for a minute, letting the wind carry the smoke from his lips in beautiful swirls and ripples. She wondered for a moment if he could blow smoke rings, and how cool that would actually kinda be.
“To tell you the truth I don’t really know, but part of me wants to corrupt that good girl inside of you-”
“Gross, that is so typical! All boys want is-”
“I’m not Kelso, remember? And I don’t mean it in that way. . .at least not yet,” he waggled his eyebrows, “I just think you’re an interesting person, is that such a crime?”
She shook her head, “No, it isn’t.”
“Maybe I just wanna show you I’m not the guy your friends think I am.” he said quietly, looking away to take another puff.
For a few more minutes he sucked on his joint while she watched and awkwardly shifted her weight on her legs. He was making her feel so guilty and she figured it was his intention. One more time he offered her the joint and she passed, he simply shrugged his shoulders again and finished it.
He bent down to put out the smoking joint and stashed the roach in his pocket, “Don’t worry, I wont leave any evidence that I’ve been here,”
“Well, thank you for the conversation but I should be going to bed.”
Steven rubbed his hands together and smiled, “Alright, I’ll see ya tomorrow at the same time.”
He left before she could question his statement.

Those Three Words
@thestupidhelmet got an ask about the episode “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” that inspired me to write this little thing, so here you go!
I wrote it in three hours and proofread it once, so sorry if its not great. I just had to write it before I lost interest. it’s just a different take on how scenes from after Hyde cheated on Jackie could have (or should have) gone.
Shit. Why did Hyde have to be so stupid? Why didn't he just take a moment to fucking think? Because now, he had lost Jackie forever over nothing.
Jackie rushed into the Hub. Dammit, she was the last person he wanted to see right now. Might as well rip the band-aid off.
"Oh, Steven, look, okay? Whatever you think happened between me and Michael, did not happen, okay? So, everything's fine," Jackie said.
Hyde wanted to melt into the Hub's floor and escape this horrible situation that was entirely his fault. Since that wasn't happening anytime soon, he said, "Actually, we need to talk."
He took her hand and led her out the door. This would probably be the last time he got to hold her hand. The thought felt like sticking needles in his heart, but he wouldn't put his desires first today. He had hurt Jackie, probably beyond forgiving. Now was definitely not the time to be selfish.
He led her to the Camino and sat in the driver's seat. Jackie sat in the passenger's seat. She looked nervous. Hyde hated being the reason for that.
Hyde had no idea how to start this. He had no idea how to begin a conversation that would inevitably break her heart.
Jackie took his silence as an opportunity to explain again. "So, I was in the den, and Michael came over all upset-"
"Jackie-"
"And, Steven, I asked him to leave. And that's when you saw us. But I swear, nothing happened"
"Jackie. Jackie! Stop talking."
She stopped, looking even more nervous than before. No contest to how he was feeling.
"Look, I know all this now, okay? But before I knew, I was at the hotel last night. And I was really mad. There was this nurse." Hyde swallowed.
"And?" Jackie asked, voice wavering.
"And I cheated on you." Hyde didn't want to look at her, but he forced himself to. "I'm really sorry, and I don't expect you to ever forgive me. You really shouldn't forgive me. I did exactly what Kelso always did to you, even though I know how much it hurt you."
Hyde looked away from her. His vision was becoming blurry from tears, an unwelcome sensation. He hated crying, especially in front of people.
"Steven, I-" Jackie's voice was choked. Hyde forced himself to look at her again. She was crying, tears falling down her cheeks. He hated being the cause of those tears. "It's over."
"I know," Hyde said quietly. "I really am sorry."
"I know," Jackie said. "but I can't be with you anymore. I promised myself after Michael I would never be with another guy who cheated on me."
Hyde nodded. She'd told him about that. He'd known just how much Kelso had hurt her, and he'd done the exact same thing.
Jackie sighed and got out of the car. Hyde watched her walk away. Once he was alone in his car in the alley behind the Hub, he slumped until his forehead hit the steering wheel.
Dumbass.
~
"The thing is, I'm really sorry," Hyde said. He was standing in Donna's room with Jackie. He had come over today to tell Jackie a few things.
"Yeah, you said that already," Jackie said, annoyance evident in her tone. She flipped the page of her magazine.
"I know, but there are a few things I didn't say." Hyde took a deep breath. "Everything I'm about to say, I'm only saying it because you deserve to know it. Not because I'm trying to make you forgive me. I know you don't want to be with me, and I'll respect that."
Jackie looked up at him. He couldn't read her face.
"I'm gonna spend forever trying to make this up to you. Even if you never take me back, I promise I will make this up to you. You didn't deserve a second cheating boyfriend, and I'm sorry that I did that to you. It was really fucking stupid of me."
The corners of Jackie's lips twitched up for half a second. Hyde moved past it.
"And, um… I know you don't want to be with me. But you deserve to know this, 'cause I never told you while we were together." Hyde was silent for a moment. "I love you, Jackie."
Jackie didn't say anything right away. "Well, I don't love you."
Hyde nodded. "That's fair. I just… I needed you to know that. It's knowledge that belongs to you, and it's not fair of me to keep it from you. I'll, uh… I'll get outta here now."
Hyde left the room. He hated himself for the past few days, but it felt good to tell Jackie those three words. If only he'd said them sooner.
If Jackie never took him back, at least there would be nothing left unsaid between them. At least, on his end. Jackie now knew he loved her, which was all he needed.
And he would keep his promise. He would make this up to her, by backing off and giving her time to heal. He wouldn't try to get her back, he wouldn't get angry about her not taking him back, he would just let her think things over.
~
Hyde left the hospital room, walking towards the exit to get back to the Camino. He stopped when he heard Jackie's voice calling him from behind.
"Steven, are you okay?"
He turned to face her. "Why?"
"Well, I heard someone fell off the water tower and I thought it could be you and I just…"
"No, it was Kelso," Hyde said. Something clicked in Hyde's brain as Jackie breathed a sigh of relief. "Wait, you came down here 'cause you were worried about me."
"No, I didn't," Jackie said quickly.
"'Cause you still care about me." Hyde couldn't keep himself from smiling.
"Uh-uh."
Hyde smiled and said teasingly, "Good to know."
Jackie hit him on the chest, but she was smiling. "Shut up."
Hyde opened his mouth to tell her he cared about her too, but Kelso came out of the room then. Hyde didn't take his eyes off of Jackie. He was in shock that she still cared about him, after everything he did to her. Seemed like his making it up to her was working.
If he kept that up, he might just have a chance at getting her back.
~
"Stop it! This isn't fun for me anymore!" Jackie said.
Hyde stopped in his tracks. "What? What do you mean fun for you?"
Jackie's eyes widened. "I didn't say that."
"You're making us fight over you, huh?" Hyde asked. He was angry, but he had no right to be angry about something as stupid as that. "Okay, I deserve that."
"I don't!" Kelso said.
Hyde punched him in the arm, both to take his remaining anger out on Kelso and to make him realize he definitely did deserve that.
"Okay, look, you two," Jackie said. "I need some more time to think, all right? I'm definitely not choosing Michael, because I don't have feelings for him at all. And he's hurt me way too many times. But I'm not sure if I want to take Steven back yet. So just give me some time and space, okay?"
Hyde nodded. "Okay."
"What? No!" Kelso said. "What do you mean, you don't have feelings for me?"
"I mean I don't love you or like you or want to be with you," Jackie said. "Deal with it."
Hyde smiled. It was kind of unbelievable how much he loved her. But it was definitely true; he loved Jackie Burkhart. And he probably wouldn't stop.
~
Hyde flipped through his and Forman's joint record collection. Part of him hated that his Led Zeppelin records were in the same bin as Forman's Styx records, but it didn't really matter. Zeppelin was still Zeppelin.
He placed Houses of the Holy on the turntable just as Jackie walked in. She'd been taking time to think and heal. It had been over a month since he'd cheated on her. During that month, Hyde had treated her with kindness and respect, making it clear that his goal was not to get her back.
"Okay, Steven, I've done a lot of thinking the past month, and… I want to take you back," Jackie said.
Hyde couldn't stop himself from smiling. "Really?"
"Yeah." Jackie smiled back at him. "You cheated on me, but you've made it up to me these past few weeks. You've also been unselfish, which really means a lot to me. And I want to be with you, so I'm ready to take you back."
She leaned in and kissed him. He had missed the taste and feel of her lips so badly. He threaded his fingers through her soft hair, relishing the feeling of it between his fingertips.
When they eventually parted, Hyde said, "Jackie, I love you."
"I love you too." Jackie hugged him tightly. It felt good just to hug her. It also felt good to finally be able to say those three words to her and have her say them back.
He would never let her forget that he loved her, not as long as they were together.

What if hyde, kelso and Eric were brothers but their parents wouldn't be the Forman's but Edna and buď or maybe someone else i got this story in mind that i want to write about and also Donna and jackie as sisters but with different parents also i don't know if the burkhart's or the pinciotti's or someone else that i am gonna make up
Since you’re writing a story, instead of giving you the answers, I’ll ask you some questions / give you some guidance.
Think about how Hyde’s upbringing affected him, Bud and Edna’s alcoholism. Bud’s abandonment when Hyde was nine. Edna exposing Hyde to her lovers from that point on, many -- if not all -- of whom were unsafe one way or another. Edna’s psychological and physical abuse of him -- and her eventual abandonment of him like Bud.
How would growing up under the same circumstances affect Kelso and Eric? Would Kelso, Eric, and Hyde become closer because of their shared abuse, or would Bud and Edna put them against one another? Siblings, unfortunately, often transfer the abuse they receive from their parents onto one another.
Would the abuse give the three siblings different roles? Hyde is a protector. How might he react when seeing Eric or Kelso being abused?
Kelso is reactive and vindictive. Would he try to get revenge on Bud or Edna, which would ultimately get him, Eric, and Hyde all into trouble? If so, how would that affect Hyde and Eric’s relationship with him?
Eric is the obedient, people-pleasing one until he reaches puberty when he begins to fight back using his greatest weapon: sarcasm. His self-esteem is hurt enough by Red’s emotionally withholding and tough disciplinarian nature. Would he start rebelling as a teen while raised by Edna, or would he continue to try to stay under the radar to protect himself?
These are the kinds of questions to ponder. Always go from who the characters are. Their choices and the plot will arise naturally and (relatively) easily if you know how the characters would act and react in any situation.
The same goes for Jackie, Donna, and any other character.
I hope that helps! :D

Is it just me or does anyone want to see a crossover between That 70s Show and the ranch. Like honestly I REALLY shkp Jackie and Rooster, I mean how can I not they would make the cutest couple. Imagine this, after season 8 Jackie breaks up with Fez, gets the hell out of point place and goes on a road trip to find something better, something new. Along the way she realised that she's basically broke and finds a small town named garrison. She arrives there at 6am and finds a bar named Maggie's with a help wanted sign, she goes in, walks up to the lady behind the bar and says... "Hey, look I'm just going to be blunt and say I'm normally not caught dead in places like these, but I'm really desperate and need a job and the sign outside says you need my help, so is there a manager I can talk to or something"Jackie said in a somewhat rushed and desperate voice.
The lady looks somewhat offended but also a little amused by Jackie's desperate tone, she didn't look like someone who was strapped for cash, in fact she look really young around 19 or 20. She had, her raven hair curled perfectly, her make-up done to a tee and she was certainly dressed to impress, in nee length leather boots, blue jeans tucked underneath and a clearly expensive red off the shoulder, only slightly baggy sweater and all of this to accommodated by a very pretty face with doll like features, she had big mismatched eyes one brown, one blue, full pouty lips, high cheeks bones but you could see that the girl was hurting underneath her innocent eyes. So the woman looked her up and down, raised her eyebrow, smirked and said....
"What in the hell makes you think ANYONE is gonna hire you with that attitude. Also do you even have the qualifications to work at a bar." The lady said in a thick southern accent. She looked to be in her late 50s or early 60s, her brown hair was short and curly and she had brown eyes and thin lips. She had on a pair of black Jean's, a denim shirt jacket and lilac tee-shrit that hung loosely around her body. In all honesty she looked a little bit like a hippie but she also didn't look like the type to take shit from anyone.
" Oh please" Jackie said offended, as she thought who wouldn't want to hire her."Firstly it's a bar, what 'qualifications' could I possibly need to-
"ok I'm gonna stop you right there" The woman said interrupting Jackie." I think we've been gotten a bit off track here and I'm on the verge of kicking your ass out of here. So I would like to know your name before I do that." She said very falsely sweet voice.
Jackie was taken aback, she was always so used to the 'customer is always right' motto. When she worked in the salon, the motto was practically engraved in to her mind. Her mother had also taught her to expect no less from employees or any kind of staff for that matter because their "basically our servants Jackie, we just dont have to pay them" her mother always said, to say that warped her young mind on how to treat people equally would be a understatement.
Her eyes widened a bit as she stammered out her reply, still a little caught off guard by the woman's bluntness" O-oh umm I'm Jackie, Jackie Burkhart" Jackie said confidently" And I'm sorry if I came on a little strong there, i just haven't gotten the hang of this 'job thing' yet. So what's your name." Jackie asked curiously.
The woman eyed Jackie curiously before giving her an answer.
"Maggie Bennett, and I am the owner of this bar".
After this exchange the two women quickly became acquainted with each other but cant help but be a little stand-offish. Jackie had learned that Maggie has been the owner of the bar for over 20 year which blow blew her mind but also that she was going through some martial issues and had two grown sons. Maggie had found out that Jackie was on something of a self discovery journey (something that Maggie envied) because of troubles back home. She had also learned that Jackie came from money and didn't have alot of job experience. This had helped Maggie in her decision in wether or not to hire Jackie but finally came to a conclusion......
"well kid your only 21, have had just three short job experiences and are pretty clueless when it comes to any manual labour other than fixing a car surprisingly." Maggie said in a toneless voice, which only made Jackie even more nervous. She knew she wasn't that experience but what she lack for in that she gained in determination.
Jackie looked at Maggie visibly worried now, even though she tried to calm her self down, she was afraid that Maggie was going to laugh her out of the building.
"Well...... you've got the job!" Maggie exclaimed happily but before she could anything else out, she had an arm full of Jackie Burkhart squealing happily and hugging the life out of her.
"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!" Jackie squealed gleefully and surprisingly she was really(excuse the language) fucking excited about this job. Because to her this will be her first job out in the real world, and yes you could argue that the cheese palace, the salon and working for that god awful woman who's name shall not be spoken (purely because I forget it), as real jobs but Jackie didn't because they were in that small town, that small town that took everything she loved, that small town that had been suffocating up until she left...she fucking hated that small town.
So she was excited about this new opportunity, this new chance to make something of her self to use her experience out in the rea-" wait, I have very little experience in these types of things, you even said it yourself self! why are you even hiring me". Jackie said curiously and a little self consciously, that was something was new to her.
"Well a number of reasons first one would probably be because you know how to make some pretty complicated drinks" That's right, Jackie remember telling her that she knew how to make alot of different drinks, not only from years of watching her own mother make 'special smoothies' but also from watching Mrs Forman make all different drinks." And well..... I'm low on staff and as long as you promise to not drink any of the alcohol, you can work here." Maggie said a little sheepish.
"Oh ok, well then I promise not to disappoint you and you dont have to worry about me drinking on the job, I'm more of a smoker than a drinker" Jackie said reassuringly"So when do I start."
"Right now" Maggie said "But its only 8AM dont bars usually open at like 6 or 7" Jackie asked confusingly.
"Oh honey not in this town, alcohol is kinda the only thing they have" Maggie said in a tone that was meant to sound jokingly, but something told Jackie that she was serious.
So for the next few hours Jackie worked as a bartender. She met all kinds of different people including some of the regulars. But it wasn't until 6PM when Jackie met the rest of the Bennett family.
Jackie had looked up from her place at the bar and saw three men walk in. The first one being an old man who looked to be in his 70s he full head of white hair and a white moustache, a khaki green button-up shirt and a pair of blue jeans with muddy boots. He had remained her of Mr Forman on account of him having a natural scowl on his face. The second man was tall and build, his face was very sculpted with refined features such as a builded jaw line, he had brown hair and a backwards red cap on, a blue and red check shirt with a grey shirt underneath, black jeans and a pair of muddy uggs that he could NOT pull off. He remained her of Kelso due to the goofy look on his face and the build of his body. The third man had her doing a double take, he looked so much like steven it was almost if he was right there. He had a full head of curly hair (although alot more tame than Stevens) and a bushy beard with squirted blue eyes, he had a light brown leather jacket with a red shirt on, navy blue jeans , with a pair of muddy cowboy boots? Seriously did these men not have any sense of fashion.
"Seriously I cant even shut a truck door right" the second man said flabbergasted. "I'm sure you could why you choose not to is beyond me" the first man replied patronisingly.
Judging by the tone of the conversation Jackie could only assume they were having a fight and honestly the old man reminded her so much of Red Forman that she was waiting for a 'Dumbass' or a 'foot up the ass' comment. Also both men had thick southern accent to them, like Maggie so she assumed they were from around here.
That was when the steven look alike spoke up." Hey, I'm gonna hit the bar. But in case you guys run out of things to fight about.." He paused as if he were about to reveal something important."Colt's Jean's cost 85 bucks" He said as he took his leave. His voice sounded almost like Steven's just older and had a southern accent to it.
As Jackie seen him approaching the bar she turned around and pretended to not have been ease dropping on their conversation.
I will post an update here and on fanfiction.net, hoped everyone liked it.

chapter one: a sharp left in a different direction
Something was off. Completely and totally off.
Usually after a night of crying Jackie woke up with a headache. She couldn’t complain that she woke up nice and breezy, body relaxed as if nothing had ever happened. As if she didn’t cry more tears over a boy that called their future “crap.”
The sooner the pain hurt less, the easier everything would be. The easier it would be to compartmentalize her feelings for Steven Hyde and put them in a box inside of herself to be hidden just like her “Steven Box” was hidden in her closet.
Stretching her arms up over her head, Jackie froze and stared at her bare arm. Last night she had put on her favorite comfy flannel pajamas, the perfect set for when she wanted to feel warm and safe. Certain outfits were just as practical as they were cute.
But she hadn’t woken up wearing her cute flannel pajamas that were perfect for winter nights.
Why am I in my nightgown? Jackie sat up and examined her torso. Wait! Where are my—?
Jackie screamed in frustration as she clutched at her breasts—or the lack of them. She was small with slight curves, but they were perfect! Perfectly shaped and round not these small barely formed lumps she hadn’t had since she was fifteen.
For the second time since she woke up she froze. Taking a deep breath she turned to slide out of bed and put on her fuzzy slippers. She stared at her feet, eyeing the old slippers she used when she was a sophomore before they had to be replaced.
“What the hell is going on?” Jackie huffed as she examined her nightstand. Why would she have a photograph of Michael Kelso by her bed? Just last night she had gone to bed with a couple shot of her and Steven face down as it had been since she had broken up with him weeks prior.
She clutched at her hair, tightening her fingers around the curly locks. Her chest rose and fell rapidly with her breaths but it didn’t feel like she was taking in any oxygen. The pull on her roots hurt too much for her to still be sleeping. Squeezing her eyes shut, she mouthed a prayer to herself. She would open her eyes and everything would be back in its rightful place. It just had to be so.
Opening her eyes to the sight of her old purple suitcase with its matching traveling makeup case sitting by her bedroom door, Jackie screamed again.
She hadn’t seen that case since her sophomore year. The luggage set she used now was decidedly more adult—a lovely shade of carmine that was just right for her eighteen year old self.
I swear to God if my wardrobe isn’t up to date, heads are going to roll.
Jackie stomped to her closet and pushed through all of the cute clothes hanging in the proper color and seasonal order it was supposed to be in. The only problem was that most of her clothes, while super cute, were out of season for 1979. Most of them were trendy back in 1976 when she had first bought them.
Wrapping her arms around herself, Jackie clutched her elbows and slid down her closet door. She didn’t even want to check the rest of her room. She didn’t need to look at her records to find out that the ones given to her by Steven were gone. She was sure if she dug through her closet she wouldn’t find a shoe box decorated and dedicated to hiding all of his notes and the ticket stubs from their dates and other keepsakes.
Lightly knocking her head back against her closet door repeatedly, Jackie let out an expletive worthy of Red Forman.
What was she going to do?
. .
The first person Jackie wanted to see was Steven. It angered her a little that no matter what he was the one her body, her mind, her soul would seek out. Just yesterday she had been crying her eyes out behind a pillar in public over him and yet now she was ready to run right to him.
Fate had it that the first person she did end up seeing was Fez of all people. As good of a friend as he was, she wasn’t as close to him as she was to Steven or Donna. He wouldn’t have been her first choice for comfort in a situation like this. Maybe if her hot rollers weren’t working properly, but not for finding out that she had slipped into some sort of crazy time rift and was now back in her fifteen year old body.
Great. And now she was sounding like dorky Eric, letting herself think about stuff like time travel.
Fez had come to walk with her to the Forman residence and to tote her luggage. Luckily for her, Fez wasn’t observant enough to recognize that her brain fog had anything to do with the fact that she wasn’t the Jackie he knew.
As if he would even know a thing about time travel or recognize it in a person.
He had fumbled through his explanation for why he was at her door, reminding her that she had called him the night before to help carry her stuff because she couldn’t have Michael picking her up or it would ruin her surprise.
Ugh. Jackie wrinkled her nose in disgust. Why couldn’t I have been sent to a time before I ever let Michael sleep with me?
Vanstock. Her first experience attending wouldn’t have been so awful had it not turned out that whorey Laurie had been sleeping with her first boyfriend while she had been dating him. It had tainted the memory of her good time.
Jackie had thought that the two of them could be really good friends considering they liked all of the same things. It was almost like having the missing half of what she wished Donna was like. All of the girly attributes that Donna just didn’t understand why they were so important.
The gang had all gone again the previous year in her original timeline and that was much better. But then again, she had spent the weekend with Steven and they had snuggled in his double sleeping bag. She had almost forgotten that they were sleeping on the ground.
Almost.
And with the reminder of Steven and their time together came the deep ache in her chest that was always present since she had broken up with him after the LOPP’s Christmas party. God, she missed him—missed them.
That was the one positive of the time travel. Yes it hurt, but her feelings for Steven were still there with her and her thoughts were her own despite being back in her underdeveloped fifteen year old body.
She wasn’t going to get over that. Applying her makeup on that morning had been frustrating each time she had to look at her rounder cheeks, still full of baby fat.
It’s a good thing I’m super cute no matter how old. Jackie turned her nose up at her own wandering thoughts. It was hard to focus on what was important when she couldn’t find the source of her problem.
At the moment all she could do was compartmentalize everything and create some order by what was a priority and by what she could actually fix within her own power.
Just because she was her fifteen year old self, it didn’t mean she had to live her fifteen year old self’s life. She was Jackie Burkhart and she got what she wanted when she wanted. And what she wanted was to not be that girl she was when she was sixteen.
It was a few weeks too soon but there was one matter she could take into her own hands right that moment. She just wished she had made her decision before Fez had carried her stuff all the way to the Formans’ house. Now she was going to be stuck taking it all back herself.
Going to Vanstock had seemed like a good idea when she had been faced with choosing between being with her friends or alone with her thoughts in an empty house. The housekeeper had been given the weekend off when her fifteen year old self had made the decision to surprise Michael with her attendance on the group’s road trip and she wasn’t in the right state of mind to be by herself.
“Jackie!” Donna was the first person to greet her when she walked up the Forman’s driveway. Her hair was totally flat and that god awful red but her cheeks still bloomed like she had a sunburn when she was flustered.
Jackie had to resist wrapping her arms around her best friend. She wanted nothing more than a hug and for someone to tell her that everything was going to be okay but this wasn’t the moment, especially when she knew what was making Donna so nervous.
She barely registered the mentions of mud and Canadians. Jackie’s gaze drifted from Donna to her future ex-boyfriend who stood in the back in his worn out denim jacket. She had to remind herself that this was Hyde not Steven. That while he was complicit in letting her heart get broken, this wasn’t the man that owed her any loyalty. It was just the boy that got his kicks where he could and didn’t recognize that what he was doing was terrible.
This was also the boy that would get his heart broken again in a few months and Jackie bit her lower lip to keep from shouting about everything she knew. This Steven Hyde wasn’t hers to protect like when he first met his real father.
And if she shared those secrets there were worse things that could happen to her than waking up almost a full bra cup size and a half smaller.
“Where’s Michael?” Jackie asked before anyone else could fumble some sort of weak reason as to why she shouldn’t go with them to Vanstock. Any moment now Steven was going to try to convince her that it was a fantastic idea regardless of the fact that Michael was bringing along the girl he was having an affair with.
“Jackie.” Steven stared her down, expression more solemn than she recalled him looking at sixteen. Last time when they stood in this driveway, he had been gleeful, downright giddy. “I need to talk to you about something.”
She wasn’t ready for this, whatever this was. His hair was longer and blonder, he wasn’t as muscular, but his voice was still the same deep timbre she loved and even though it should have been easy to separate this Steven from her Steven, she couldn’t do it. Jackie was convinced one look, one direct look, into her eyes and he would know everything.
Steven Hyde of 1976 would know she loved him.
“Can it wait?” Jackie’s gaze shifted anywhere but his face. “I really need to talk to Michael before you guys go.”
“Wait,” Eric looked back and forth between his best friend and her, “you’re not coming with us then? And why do you need to talk to Jackie?”
Jackie really didn’t need this right now. Eric Forman could hate her some other time but he wasn’t going to be wasting her time with his questions. “Makes no sense why I would be going.” Jackie crossed her arms across her chest protectively. “Doubt he’d let me come along after I dump him.”
“What?” Came everyone’s shocked response. . . Hyde leaned his head back and closed his eyes, propping his feet on the spool table. They should have been on the road over an hour ago. He should have been roaming the grounds and meeting up with his friends from Kenosha, dropping acid or smoking a joint in between the different musical acts performing.
The last time he had been there in 1976, that was exactly what he had done as well as hooking up with any willing hot chick. The desire for acid or a girl had significantly dropped since then, both for different reasons.
Opening his eyes, Hyde watched the smoke float in lazy circles up towards the ceiling. The swirls had his focus more than the conversation currently being had in the basement.
“You were just frenching Laurie not even ten minutes before she broke up with you, dillhole!” Donna huffed, passing the joint on to Forman.
That comment had Hyde peering at Donna from the corner of his eye. When she had discovered that Kelso had been cheating on Jackie back in his own 1976, she hadn’t warned Jackie at all. She still hadn’t warned her this time around, only weakly attempted to get her to change her mind about going on the trip. Not that Jackie needed to change her mind. She had shown up and broke up with Kelso in the simplest most blunt way possible.
“I don’t love you and you’re a cheating bastard. Have fun at Vanstock.” And then she just skipped away.
The divergence in the timeline was going to be interesting.
Waking up had been a trip. Hyde had woken up thinking he had been tripping. It had been so long since he kept his hair long enough to be as blonde as it was and he felt lighter than usual━his limbs no longer carrying the extra weight of the muscles he had developed over the past couple of years.
Time travel. It was a subject that only Forman out of everyone he could possibly have a serious discussion with. Kelso at this stage wouldn’t even try to jump into the conversation unless it was about a time machine that could take him back in time before Jackie broke up with him.
“Shouldn’t we be glad that we’re finally free?” Forman shrugged his shoulders passing him the joint. Hyde didn’t honor him with a response, only taking a long drag before skipping right over Kelso to Fez.
Kelso didn’t even notice that he had been skipped in the circle. His head hung low and his eyes were glazed over with unshed tears. Hyde cared for them just as much as he did the first time Jackie had broken up with Kelso━not at all.
Tears from his friend over a girl that he himself loved meant nothing.
Kelso crying over Jackie was a joke. It was a joke back when all she was was the bitchy anchor around Kelso’s neck. It was a joke when he got caught cheating with Laurie.
“We were in love,” Kelso choked out, voice thick and watery from crying.
“Kelso.” Hyde snapped his fingers in front of Kelso’s face and tried to capture his attention. “No you weren’t. You were cheating on her with the Earth Mother Whore.”
Kelso blinked at him and swallowed hard. “Doesn’t mean I don’t love Jackie.”
Rolling his eyes, Hyde took the joint back from Donna and took the last drag from the remaining stub. He coughed as the burnt smoke hit his lungs and pinched the dying ember on the paper between his index finger and thumb. The high from the marijuana wasn’t enough for Hyde to tolerate listening to Kelso talk about being in love with his chick.
Ex chick. Future ex chick.
Time travel was such a fucked concept. It was one thing to hide a hurt that he had reasons for having, but the hurt he felt wasn’t for the Jackie of 1976 but the Jackie of 1979. He was hiding a deep ache in his chest that was caused by a girl that had probably been crying over his moron friend the night before, not him.
Miles away there was a shrill, loud, bitchy cheerleader who was probably stuffing all of her Kelso paraphernalia into a box right at that moment and it was killing him that he couldn’t have her. And because of this time travel bullshit she didn’t even know that she had ever been his and he had been hers.
“I can’t believe we’re missing Vanstock all because of Jackie,” Forman scoffed. “Leave it to her to ruin everything.”
“Forman,” Hyde turned to him in disgust, “really? Are you forgetting certain important details?”
“I still can’t believe you all knew!” Donna slapped her hands on the spool table. She glared at them all and then stood up from her seat. “I’m going to go see Jackie.”
“Wait!” Fez called after her. “I’ll go with you!”
Hyde reached over and pulled Fez by the back of his shirt, forcing him back on the mushroom ottoman. “Sit down!” Like hell was he going to let an infatuated Fez try and take advantage of the situation again.
Fez wrinkled his nose and gave him a disgruntled look before shrugging it off. “So what happened with Laurie?”
Hyde rolled his eyes yet again. Right after Jackie had confronted Kelso, Laurie had taken off when it was obvious they weren’t going anywhere. She had looked downright gleeful when they all had dragged their stuff back inside, looking miserable. She took one look at a sad Kelso and shrugged it off. No one knew where she went after everything went down, but Laurie made herself scarce as soon as it was clear that no one was going anywhere.
Kelso was a dumbass, but the consequences for his actions lead to Hyde finding out that there was more to Jackie than they all originally thought. There was just one very important difference in this timeline.
Jackie wasn’t heartbroken over her split with Kelso. In 1976, Jackie had told Kelso it was over, tears thickening her voice, and then threw herself at Hyde for comfort. This time, Jackie tossed out the break up statement casually with the same attitude she would give a shoe department employee her size on whatever clogs took her fancy and then went on her merry way.
Hyde didn’t know what to make of that. As annoyed as he had been when he was last sixteen years old, Kelso and Jackie’s first real break up was the catalyst to his and Jackie’s relationship changing.
This was his punishment at last from the government. Kelso threatened the president and once they all were lulled into a false sense of security, Hyde was shifted to a different time and was forced to relive his teen years in a simulation that altered the events of his life out of his favor.
Out of his favor? Shouldn’t this be what he wanted? Hyde was back in a time that he and Jackie could just hang out without any of the complications of dating.
But life was a bitch because that’s not how it worked.
His body was closer to seventeen than twenty but his memories were still there. He could still remember the way Jackie felt under his fingertips, how she breathed into him when he laid kisses onto her inviting mouth...and how she looked with eyes full of tears from a broken heart.
Couldn’t rat out a friend? Hyde inwardly scoffed. Maybe his sixteen year old self had a point, but nineteen year old him had more loyalty to the tiny loud girl than his doofus friend.
Government simulation or not, he wasn’t going to let Jackie go through all of that bullshit again. Hyde had planned on warning Jackie before she surprised him and took things into her own hands.
“You could have just—and I’ll say this yet again,” Forman flattened his palms together and pressed his fingers to his mouth before shouting, “not make out with my sister!”
“No,” Kelso’s expression became serious as he turned his attention towards Eric, “I couldn’t, Eric.”
“You know what?” Eric threw his hands up and flailed them in exasperation. “I don’t even care anymore that you ruined Vanstock. What am I going to tell Donna? She’s going to ask me if I knew the whole time.”
Hyde rolled his eyes behind his aviators. He already knew how that turned out last time when Donna had stormed off, upset. “As entertaining as it would be to see you fuck this up further, Forman—just tell her the truth.”
“How is that not going to screw me over?” Forman gestured wildly again. “She’s going to know that I’ve been keeping this from her.”
“Because if you lie it will end up biting you in the ass later.”
“Hyde is right, Eric.” Fez nodded in agreement. “Just take a look at Kelso. It’s biting him in the ass right now.”
“And you already lied earlier when you tried to get me to cover for you about Don Juan El Tardo and The Village Whore.”
“No!” Kelso jabbed his finger at Hyde’s direction and then Forman’s. “Eric, you can’t tell Donna. She’ll tell Jackie how long it’s been going on and then I won’t be able to get her back.”
The other three boys stared at Kelso like he had grown a second head. Fez was the first one to fling something at him, tossing as many magazines and comic books he could reach. Forman was irritated by the events of the day and needed an outlet. Hyde already knew how Kelso was, wasn’t surprised by his statement but it didn’t stop from irritating him and the anger boiled deep in his gut.
“I’m out of here.”
He was done with this crap for the day. It finally hit where the punishment was. Hyde was going to have to witness Kelso jerking Jackie around all over again━only this time, he was going to have to pay the price for feeling more than he wanted to for her.
This crap ain’t happening again. He slammed the door shut for his bedroom and flopped on his cot. This is why he didn’t do love. Fuck the U.S. government. . . In a way, Jackie was grateful for the place in time she had been sent back to. She wouldn’t have to deal with anymore of Michael’s crap and she had less stuff of his to throw away.
“He really gave you a slinky for an anniversary?” Donna sat cross legged on Jackie’s bed, tossing it back and forth between her hands. “Kind of makes me appreciate Eric more.”
“Yeah, Michael’s a moron.” Jackie slipped the photo of Michael out from the frame on her bed and wrinkled her nose in thought. “You think Fez would want this?”
Donna’s face scrunched up in confusion and she shrugged. Jackie shrugged back and tossed it into the trash can by her desk. She wasn’t exactly sure when Fez became a little obsessed with her ex-boyfriend, but maybe this was before then if Donna didn’t understand the question.
“I’m really sorry about the Laurie thing,” Donna apologized for the second time since she had arrived at the Burkhart mansion. “I just found out before you showed up and was asking Eric about it.”
Jackie kept her gaze on the box of stuff she had collected from her year of dating Michael. She bit her lip to keep from smiling or making a comment, but she couldn’t help the warmth that spread in her chest.
Despite her friendship with the Donna of 1979, it sometimes felt like Donna sided with the boys over Jackie most of the time when they were younger. They had their moments though and Donna was like a less attractive, goofy older sister. It felt kind of nice to have her right now even if they weren’t as close as they would be some day.
“I wanted to tell you but once I saw you I blanked out a bit because...well,” Donna shrugged, hiking her shoulders up to her ears, “you’re kind of my friend and I didn’t want you to get hurt and for me to be the messenger that caused it.”
“Well, I deserved to know.” Jackie finally turned her gaze back to Donna and smiled slyly. “But you could always do something for me to make me feel better.”
Donna rolled her eyes in exasperation but she playfully shoved at Jackie’s shoulder. “Alright midget, what are you scheming at? And no, I’m not dumping Eric in solidarity or throwing out my clothes.”
“As great as those two options would totally be, that’s actually not what I was going to ask.”
Donna sat up straighter, her curiosity obvious. She narrowed her eyes in suspicion but nodded for Jackie to continue.
“I really meant what I said about not loving Michael and—“
“Jackie, you just told him you loved him three days ago.”
“Shh! Let me talk you big goon,” Jackie snapped. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before continuing. “Ignore that, that was the past and I’ve learned some stuff about myself, okay?”
“Okay. So what about not loving Kelso?”
“I don’t want him to bother me. I know he’s your friend and he’s been your friend longer than I have but can you be on my side about this? I really am over Michael Kelso and never want to be with him again.”
Donna stared impassively at her for a moment before nodding in understanding. “I’m guessing this means you’re asking me to run interference in case he tries to get you back like he did after the Pam Macy incident...incidents?”
Jackie nodded enthusiastically. “That’s exactly it. Look,” Jackie turned her whole body and sat cross legged on her bed, “Michael isn’t just cheating on me with Laurie but also some tramp from Sacred Heart and really that’s just what I know about.”
In reality, Jackie knew a lot more now thanks to Steven tricking Michael to reveal everything he had ever hidden from her.
“I know he’s a cheater but you don’t seem as upset as I expected you to be.” Donna raised a brow in confusion. “Like you sound a little angry but mostly resigned. I expected waterworks. Didn’t think you could get over stuff like this unless you found someone else.” Donna slapped her hands on the bed on either side of her hips. “Oh my god, Jackie! You already like someone else!”
“No,” Jackie lied, shaking her head and dragging out the vowel in the negation. Damn Donna always nailing it right on the head. 1976 Jackie didn’t love Steven and it would be weird if she suddenly had feelings for him. “I just realized that what hurts is my pride, not my heart. So, I don’t really love Michael.”
As much as the cheating hurt back in 1976, Jackie had recently felt pain that made the Michael cheating stuff feel like a mosquito bite in comparison.
She didn’t know when the timeline would spit her back to where she belonged, but the one thing she did know was that she wasn’t going to be spending her time in the past letting a boy she didn’t love touch her. And Jackie of 1976 might not know it yet, but she deserved better than to be with that doofus.
She found better. And she lost better.
Jackie blinked her eyes but the tears welling up in her eyes threatened to roll down her cheeks. She couldn’t be sad about that. Steven wasn’t her boyfriend in 1979 and he wasn’t her boyfriend in 1976. It didn’t matter how much she wanted him to be. 1979 Steven didn’t see a future with her and 1976 Steven didn’t see her at all—at least not as anything other than an annoyance.
Her parents were never around, she just broke up with the cheating boyfriend she didn’t even want, Steven wasn’t her friend yet, dorky Eric wasn’t really an option, and Fez was way too into her to be a real friend. The only thing she really had was her tentative friendship with Donna.
How did Donna end up being her lifeline?
“Could we still hang out?” Jackie sniffed. “I know I’m not with Michael anymore and well I’m not really part of the group…but I think of you as my friend too. My best friend. Despite the fact that you’re a lumberjack and all.”
Jackie was about to tell Donna that her eyes would get stuck if she kept rolling her eyes but was cut off by the feel of a slightly calloused hand taking hers into its grip. Donna offered her a small smile and nodded.
“Of course, midget.”
1976 and going into 1977 was going to be a rough school year for Donna. Donna invited her to live with her when she didn’t have a home and would in the future of this timeline. The least Jackie could do is save her lumberjack heart some heartbreak. Especially ones she may have had a hand in—there would be no Casey Kelso this time around.
Squeezing Donna’s hand, Jackie smiled to herself. It was only a day and she already had more than 1976 Jackie had. She had no idea why she was there or how but she did know one thing:
She needed to make a list.

J/H 3-09: Ice Shack
I decided to set up shop for this project on a side blog.
Originally, this was a one-shot done on the spur of the moment on my main blog after going through the entire series for the first time (well, the entire series up to Season 6). But, now that I'm watching it again from start to finish, I've decided to dip my toe into T7S writing again. And I decided to continue on from my original premise: if Jackie and Hyde's relationship up to "Jackie Bags Hyde" had follow-up in in the rest of Season 3 and Season 4.
I'm well aware I'm not the first person to have that idea, though I can't claim to have read many other examples out there. This is just something I'm doing for fun, and to loosen up my chops writing dialogue and structuring plots. I'm not aiming to "correct" anything in the show as it is. The goal here is to produce something that could realistically have been of the show, given its genre, time period, and time limitations, with just one major aspect (and the resulting ripple effects) changed. Not every episode is getting re-written, and some episodes will only have "B" stories, or even one or two scenes, changed (though the unaltered material will usually be included, for context.) I'm also aiming to reconnect with canon by early Season 5 and end this project there, with the (very slim) possibility of doing an alternate Season 7 finale.
First up: the germ of this idea, my original re-write of 3-09, "Ice Shack." It's been slightly altered from what I originally wrote, partially due to reconsidering dialogue, partially due to trying to adhere to restrictions of time and structure, and partially because, now that this is an ongoing project, certain things are best saved for later.

SHOW TITLE INT. FORMAN BASEMENT - NIGHT The gang has just finished a round of poker. HYDE is in his chair, ERIC, DONNA, and JACKIE share the couch, KELSO is in the lawn chair, and FEZ is in the hoppity hop. Everyone else groans as HYDE laughs triumphantly and scoops the pot up into his arms. Kelso and Fez exit out the basement door, grumbling. Jackie rises and gathers up her coat. JACKIE: Goodnight, Steven. HYDE: Whatever. Jackie stares at Hyde for a moment as he counts his money, then exits. On the couch, Eric and Donna watch Hyde and trade whispers with one another. Hyde rises, gathers his coat, and makes for the door. HYDE (cont’d): Alright, I’ll see you later. Donna nudges Eric lightly. He nods and looks up to face Hyde. ERIC: Hey, why don’t you go ahead and sit back down there, Hyde? We’ve gotta have a little talk with you, mister. He points to Hyde’s chair, and Donna nods. Hyde gives them a long look, and Eric gives an insistent look back. Hyde shrugs and sits down. Eric and Donna inch across the couch to get closer to him, and Donna reaches a hand out and places it on Hyde’s knee. DONNA: Okay, Hyde...is there anything you want to tell us about your date with Jackie on Veteran’s Day? HYDE: (beat) Okay, bye-bye. He stands again, but Eric and Donna stand too, and push him back into his chair. HYDE (cont’d): Whatever, man. So we went on a date. So? DONNA: “So?” Hyde, she stalked you for weeks, you went to jail for her, and when you two finally went out, neither of you said anything about it. HYDE: (shrugs) Nothing to say. DONNA: But Hyde, if anything happened, then the whole group is - HYDE: Nothing happened. (they stare) Nothing happened. DONNA: Okay, so, that’s it? It was a dud date, and it’s all over? HYDE: Yeah. I mean... yeah. Well... yeah. ERIC: (beat) Hyde... HYDE: What? She said she didn’t feel anything, so - DONNA: Wait - she said she didn’t feel anything? Donna and Eric both break into matching grins and lean in. Hyde shifts in his chair. HYDE: (beat) Oh, no. You got it all wrong, man. So she thought the kiss was - DONNA: Oh my god, you kissed? ERIC: The horror! Donna and Eric gape at Hyde, who jumps to his feet. HYDE: Hey! Listen to me - I don’t like Jackie! I only took her on that date to shut her up about all this fantasy hero-worship crap she’s been on! Nothing happened, and there’s nothing to say about it! ERIC: Oh...well, you know... (reaches out to take Hyde’s hand) In Point Place, they say that Steven Hyde's heart grew three sizes that day. Hyde yanks his hand free and storms out of the basement, while Eric and Donna fall against each other, laughing.
MAIN CREDITS BUMPER INT. FORMAN BASEMENT - DAY The next morning. Hyde sits in his chair eating oatmeal. Eric and Donna, dressed for winter, sit on the couch. They stare at Hyde and grin. As Hyde raises a spoonful toward his mouth, he stops, but doesn’t turn to face Eric and Donna. They keep staring. Hyde resumes eating but pauses again with the next spoonful. Eric and Donna keep grinning at him. Hyde finishes his bite, but when they still won’t stop, he shoves his spoon into his oatmeal and turns to face them. HYDE: This is going in both your faces. I swear to God. DONNA: I can’t believe it. Tough, trouble-making Steven Hyde - no ties, no girlfriends - gets a crush on Jackie Burkhart. She cracks up as she says the name, and she and Eric lean their heads against each other as they laugh. HYDE: Get bent, I do not. ERIC: Yeah, Donna, ease up. It’s gotta be a tough time for our boy here. What with the broken heart, because... Jackie didn’t feel anything. Donna starts laughing again. Hyde flings some oatmeal Eric’s way, and he dodges it. ERIC (cont’d): I dunno, Donna. Someone might have beat us to the draw on the bedroom this weekend. HYDE: What are you talking about? DONNA: The trip to Kelso’s uncle’s cabin. Didn’t he tell you? We’re leaving any minute. A horn honks off-screen. The three share looks and head upstairs. CUT TO: EXT. FORMAN DRIVEWAY - DAY Kelso is standing in front of his van, parked with its back facing the road. He paces and rubs his hands together. Hyde, Eric, and Donna come outside through the kitchen. KELSO: (to Eric, Donna) Hey. So, you guys ready to go? HYDE: Kelso, man, what the hell? You didn’t tell me about this trip? Kelso looks as if he just noticed Hyde was there. KELSO: Oh. I’m sorry, Hyde. I forgot. HYDE: Well, so long as there’s beer, I forgive you. (claps Kelso’s shoulder) Let’s go. KELSO: Wait, Hyde. You can’t come. HYDE: Why not? Kelso hesitates, then steps around Hyde to reach Eric and Donna. KELSO: Okay, I might as well let you in on my master plan here. See, what this whole trip is about is a romantic double date, with you two, me, and Jackie. ERIC: Okay, see, Kelso - double dates usually work better when the second couple are actually dating. KELSO: So, it’s a secret double date. I told Jackie the whole gang was coming, but I didn’t invite Hyde or Fez. (to Hyde) No offense. DONNA: I’m out. She and Eric both turn to head back inside, but Kelso moves to block their way. KELSO: No, I need you guys! Look - I wanna win Jackie back. I love her, I miss her...and I’ve been getting, like, nothing from Laurie lately. Donna rolls her eyes, Eric grins, and Hyde fumes. Kelso ignores them all. KELSO (cont’d): And, Eric and Donna, you guys are, like, the perfect couple, so if you’re there, I can just copy all the sissy, loser things that Eric does, and I’m gold! ERIC: (to Donna) I mean - he asks so nicely, how could we refuse? DONNA: Kelso, I am not doing this! KELSO: Oh, come on! You guys get a romantic weekend out of it, and I’ll have tons of beer! We won’t even need a refrigerator 'cause it’s so freaking cold! (crosses to Hyde) Oh, but I need to grab the beer and gas on the way, so... I kinda need it back. He holds out his hand. HYDE: You need what back? KELSO: You know...my money. HYDE: What money? KELSO: My money from the poker game last night. HYDE: Kelso, that’s my money. KELSO: No, it’s mine! I brought it! HYDE: And you lost it! KELSO: Well, since when does losing it to you in a poker game make it your money? Hyde stares, and Eric and Donna roll their eyes. HYDE: Okay - fine, Kelso. I’ll pay for this trip - with my money - on one condition: I come too. KELSO: What? No, Hyde! That throws off my whole plan! Why do you want to come anyway? ERIC: Yes, Hyde - why do you want to come? HYDE: (beat) Kelso, all your master plans are stupid and blow up in your face. I could spend my poker winnings on beer and Playboys, but those are there every weekend. Watching you crash and burn - that’s something special, man. And I don’t wanna miss it. KELSO: (beat) Alright, you’re in. Kelso, laughing, moves to the front of the van, with Eric following. Hyde and Donna linger by the back. Donna takes a few steps toward Hyde. DONNA: Hyde - you really do care about her, don’t you? Hyde shifts on his feet. HYDE: No... but do you wanna go through all that again? (doing Jackie) “Oh my god, you’re so beautiful, Michael!” (doing Kelso) “Oh my god, you’re so beautiful, Jackie!” (doing Jackie) “But you cheated with Laurie and Pam Macy - you’re such a dirty dog!” (doing Kelso) “Well damn, Jackie! What do you expect from a shallow, stupid man-whore?” DONNA: (laughing) Well, deny it all you want - this is the sweetest I think I’ve ever seen you. But I think it’s good for Jackie that she’s on her own right now. So please tell me you’re not gonna use this trip to crawl all over her too. HYDE: I told you - she didn’t feel anything. Donna sighs and reaches out to rub Hyde’s shoulder. DONNA: Ugh, I can’t believe Kelso. And what about poor Fez? We’re leaving him all alone this whole weekend. HYDE: Actually, I think he’ll be fine. He had some plans. CUT TO: INT. MOVIE THEATER - DAY A packed theater sits back to enjoy a special screening of WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. Pan across the first row until we arrive on FEZ, munching away at popcorn and chocolate. His eyes are wide and his mouth hangs open. FILM (aud. only): Who can take a sunrise (who can take a sunrise) Sprinkle it with dew (sprinkle it with dew) Cover it with choc'late and a miracle or two... Fez sits up straight and sings out, as loud as he can... FEZ & FILM: The Candy Man! Oh, the Candy Man can! Everyone sitting around Fez glares at him. He smiles apologetically and slumps back down into his seat. CUT TO: INT. FORMAN LIVING ROOM - DAY LAURIE sits on the couch in her bathrobe. She watches TV and sips at a mug of coffee. KITTY enters through the kitchen door. Seeing Laurie, she sucks in a deep breath and puts on a hard smile. KITTY: Good afternoon, sunshine. We missed you at lunch. And breakfast. And dinner last night. LAURIE: Yeah...I would’ve made it, but it interfered with my plans to not spend more time in this dump than I have to. KITTY: (laughs) So, ah - what do you have planned for the day? LAURIE: Same as every day. Lie here, do my nails, avoid talking to you. It’s not going that well so far. Kitty crosses to turn off the TV. Laurie makes a hollow gesture of protest, but doesn’t stir from her spot as Kitty joins her on the couch. KITTY: Honey, you’ve done nothing but party all night and sleep all day for months. LAURIE: Oh, come on, Mom. KITTY: Oh, not “come on.” Sweetie, I’m worried about you. The way you’re going, you’re going to end up like...like Aunt Martha. Laurie sits up straight. LAURIE: You think I’ll end up like Fat Martha? With the beer gut? KITTY: The poor woman couldn’t even play putt-putt. Laurie stands. LAURIE: I can’t believe you’d say that about your own daughter! And I can’t play putt-putt either, but only because it’s really hard to get it in the hole! She storms upstairs. Kitty picks up the coffee mug she left behind. KITTY: Not a problem anyone’s ever had with you, I’m sure. CUT TO: EXT. LAKESIDE - DAY Hyde and Eric unload the van as Donna, Kelso, and JACKIE stand back and take in the small, rickety ICE SHACK sitting on top of the frozen lake. Kelso grins, while the girls look incredulous. DONNA: This is your uncle’s cabin? KELSO: Yeah...now that we’re here, I guess I can tell you that part too. It’s more of an ice shack. JACKIE: It’s an outhouse! Kelso crosses over to a large metal barrel just outside the shack. KELSO: No, this is the outhouse. And the hot tub. The girls glare. They join Eric and Hyde on their way back to the van, but Kelso walks after them. KELSO (con’d): It’s for fishing. My uncle comes out here all the time! It’s gonna be a blast. Just us, in this beautiful snow. And we can catch all the fish we want! HYDE: So, on the ride back from this weekend in Hell, we can enjoy the smell of dead fish the whole way home? Oh, boy! Jackie moves to Hyde’s left, as far from Kelso as she can get. Donna takes a step closer to Eric. DONNA: It’s kind of cold. ERIC: Oh, here - take my jacket. He shrugs his jacket off and drapes it over Donna’s shoulders. DONNA: I love you! ERIC: God, were are such the... They both turn to look at Kelso. ERIC (cont’d): ...Perfect couple. Kelso rolls his eyes. Jackie shivers. JACKIE: I’m cold, too. KELSO: Well, damn, Jackie, I can’t control the weather! He notices Eric and Donna glaring at him, and the lights click on. He makes a big show of taking his jacket off and presenting it to Jackie. It is now her turn to roll her eyes. JACKIE: Forget it. Donna, let’s go inside. DONNA: (to Eric) How does that sound to you, honey? ERIC: I think that sounds like a great idea, sweetie. DONNA: Oh my God, let’s go! The two of them link hands and follow Jackie towards the ice shack. Kelso starts to follow, but Jackie holds up a hand to stop him. JACKIE: You’re not coming in. KELSO: What? Jackie, it’s freezing out here! ERIC: Well, Kelso, you can always warm yourself up in the hot tub toilet. He drums lightly on the rim of the barrel. He disappears inside the shack with Donna. Jackie lingers in the doorway and looks at Hyde, still by the van. JACKIE: Steven, are you coming? HYDE: In a bit. Think I’ll fumigate the van for a little while first. JACKIE: Won’t you be cold? HYDE: I don’t feel anything. He and Jackie look at each other. Jackie breaks away first, disappearing inside the shack and closing the door behind her. Kelso crosses over to Hyde and scoffs. KELSO: Man, can you believe this? I mean, what’s the point of bringing Eric and Donna along if copying all his dorky moves doesn’t work? HYDE: Yeah, man. It’s almost as if pretending to be someone you’re not is a bad idea. KELSO: I know, right? I mean, that’s impossible, but it’s so close to what’s happening here. Hyde sighs, claps Kelso on the shoulder, and pulls him along as he steps into the van. BUMPER INT. MOVIE THEATER - DAY WILLY WONKA continues. The “PURE IMAGINATION” song plays off-screen. Fez is now chewing a piece of bubble gum. As the song’s first three chimes sound, he blows a bubble. On the second three chimes, he sucks the bubble back in his mouth. He repeats this pattern two more times, the bubble getting larger and larger each time, until... CUT TO: The bubble blows up, becoming a pink BUMPER. FEZ (v.o.): Ai! FADE TO: INT. ICE SHACK - EVENING The shack is even dirtier looking on the inside, with various pieces of fishing gear and winter clothing adorning the rough walls. Benches surround three sides of a square cut in the ice. Eric and Donna share the right bench, while Jackie sits on the center one. Eric has a fishing line in the water. ERIC: (flat) Boy, ice fishing’s fun. Don’t you just love it here, Donna? DONNA: Oh, Eric... it doesn’t matter where we are. It’s being together that makes it fun. ERIC: You’d rather be anywhere else, wouldn’t you? DONNA: Literally anywhere. You know me so well. ERIC: Eskimo kiss! They start nuzzling noses. Jackie looks on in disgust. JACKIE: What the hell is with you two today? Eric drapes an arm around Donna, and they both smile at Jackie. ERIC: Oh, didn’t Kelso tell you? We’re the... (with Donna) Perfect couple. JACKIE: Yeah - perfectly nauseating! ERIC: Well, if you don’t like what you see in here, missy, there’s some beautiful scenery and a wind chill near 10 just waiting for you outside. JACKIE: At least you’re better company than Michael. God, can you believe that idiot? Who drags all their friends to small, smelly shack like this? I don’t even think we can fit everyone in here! ERIC: (flat) Oh, no. How could Kelso make such a terrible mistake? Jackie pouts and looks at the door. JACKIE: What’s keeping Steven? ERIC: Oh, a little worried about “Steven,” are we? Donna swats his chest playfully, and he withdraws his arm from her shoulder. DONNA: Jackie, we were talking earlier how it’s a little strange you didn’t have anything to say after your date with Hyde. JACKIE: I didn’t think there was anything to say. I mean, at the time, I thought it was the most romantic moment of my life. Steven was jealous, he defended my honor, he took me out... but when we got to the kiss, there just wasn’t anything there. ERIC: Wait, so - Hyde can’t french? Well, that is just so good to know. JACKIE: It wasn’t that, idiot. Steven said he didn’t feel anything either... but only after I said I didn’t feel anything. And just now, when I asked him if he was cold, he said it again. But not like he really didn’t feel anything. More like he was upset. ERIC: Jackie, to be fair, we’re sitting in a shack we were told was a cabin, with a trash can just outside that’s going to be our toilet and bath for the whole weekend. “Upset” covers pretty much everyone right now. JACKIE: Oh my God... oh my God, Donna! What if Steven did feel something? And he just covered it up because he’s vulnerable and afraid and thinks no one would ever love him because he’s so poor? Steven! She rises and starts for the door, but Donna reaches out to take her sleeve. Jackie sits back down. DONNA: Okay, Jackie, slow down. Ever since you and Kelso broke up, you’ve been all over the place with guys. JACKIE: But Donna, I have to talk to Steven. What if - DONNA: Listen, Jackie. Okay, so maybe you go talk to him, but I’m just saying – maybe some time alone would be good for you. ERIC: Yeah, Jackie. At least until you find your... (puts his arm back around Donna) Perfect couple. DONNA: (laughs) Yeah. (beat) And, you know. After that, too. Sometimes. ERIC: What do you mean? DONNA: Well, Eric, I love you, but I need some time for me too. ERIC: Yeah, but that’s not what you’re talking about. You’re talking about time to yourself as in, not being with anyone. Are you saying you’d want a break from... from us? DONNA: Eric, it’s not a big deal. I mean, you need some time to yourself too. It’s not like we go everywhere together. We don’t go to the bathroom together. ERIC: (voice breaking) Well, we’ll have to up here, lady! We don’t have a choice! CUT TO: INT. VAN - EVENING Concurrent with the previous scene. A CIRCLE is in progress, starting on Hyde. HYDE: Man, Kelso, I am so happy I’m not in your shoes right now. Every part of your plan - the trip, the cabin, copying Forman - has backfired. This was such a good way to blow that poker money! Pan to Kelso. KELSO: Jackie just doesn’t know how much fun ice fishing is. I was out here for four days with my uncle once. He fell in the ice, lost all his fish, and woke up a hibernating bear. I laughed my ass off! And I’m tired of everyone ragging on the shack. It’s cozy. Pan to Hyde. HYDE: Kelso, “cozy” is sharing a bed, or a couch, or the back seat of a Lincoln. If you want to get down and dirty in a place that’s down and dirty, you gotta be up-front about it. Pan to Kelso. KELSO: You’re just not thinking about what you can do when you throw a cot over the ice hole and... wait. Jackie drives her dad’s Lincoln... Pan to Hyde. HYDE: Yeah, well, that’s... whatever. Look, Kelso - why do you even wanna do this, man? You’re still with Laurie, and Jackie’s moving on. Seeing other people. And some of them are pretty cool. Can’t you just give her a break? Pan to Kelso. KELSO: Man, it’s just not the same with Laurie. I mean, I know Jackie. I understand Jackie. And... wait. You’re one of the cool guys who saw Jackie! The Circle is broken. Hyde and Kelso stare at each other from opposite ends of the back of the van. HYDE: What? KELSO: Yeah, you took her on that date on Veteran’s Day! HYDE: No I didn’t. KELSO: You so did! And you’re keeping me in here, when I could be in there doing it! HYDE: You moron! Did you forget Forman and Donna are in there? KELSO: You did it with her in the Lincoln, didn’t you? Man, you don’t do that with another guy’s girl! That was where we used to do it! HYDE: We didn’t do it! And Jackie’s not “your girl” anymore! KELSO: Well, is she yours? HYDE: She’s nobody’s, man! She said it herself, the kiss meant nothing! KELSO: (gasps) You’re dead, Hyde! Kelso launches himself across the van at Hyde, and the two begin wrestling. Hyde strikes Kelso in the head right as the van begins to rock violently. The boys stop their fight, look at each other, and bolt for the exit. CUT TO: EXT. ICE SHACK - EVENING The door to the shack opens, and Eric, Donna, and Jackie spill out just as Hyde and Kelso leap out of the back of the van. Hyde’s sunglasses are crooked and he holds his right hand in his left. Kelso has his right hand over his right eye. The cracking sound continues. ERIC: You guys, what happened? KELSO: I don’t know. All of a sudden, the van just started shaking! HYDE: “All of a sudden?” You jumped me, you tool! DONNA: Uh...guys? Everyone turns to watch as Kelso’s van slowly sinks into the ice. Kelso looks horrified, while the others seem torn between anger and schadenfreude. A splash of water shoots up as the van begins sinking quicker. Everyone takes a step back. Kelso looks around pleadingly, to no avail. The van disappears beneath the water. HYDE: Man, this master plan just keeps getting better and better. For me. JACKIE: (to Kelso) Michael, what “master plan?” KELSO: Who cares, Jackie? I’m losing my van! Jackie pouts at Kelso as he stares at the hole where his van used to be. Hyde rubs his right hand, and Eric and Donna glare at each other. FADE TO BLACK COMMERCIAL BUMPER INT. ICE SHACK - NIGHT Later that night. Donna sits on the right bench alone, while Jackie and Hyde share the left bench. Donna has her arms crossed, and Jackie watches while Hyde holds a cold beer can to the knuckles of his right hand. Someone bangs on the door. KELSO (v.o.): Okay guys, I’m getting really tired of being kicked out of my shack! No one even looks up. ERIC (v.o.): Donna? Honey? I think this is enough alone time for one night, okay? DONNA: (stands) Can it, you dill holes! She sits back down. JACKIE: God, how could Michael think this would win me back? After all the crap he did, it’d take a ski trip to Aspen before I’d even consider letting him touch me again. HYDE: You mean you’d consider it at all? JACKIE: (beat) No. Why, do you care? HYDE: Whatever. They look away from each other. Another knock comes to the door. ERIC (v.o.): Okay, we’re gonna go for help, but just so you know - Kelso’s already talking about sharing warmth, and I don’t know how long this walk is, so you just think about that during your alone time, missy! Donna, Jackie, and Hyde all share looks of disgust. CUT TO: INT. FORMAN LIVING ROOM - NIGHT Kitty paces behind the couch nervously while RED sits in his chair, reading the paper. Laurie enters from the stairs. LAURIE: Alright, I’m here. Let’s get this over with. She throws herself down on the couch. KITTY: Good evening to you too. Honey, we feel that you need some direction in your life. RED: (not looking up) And by we, she means her. Kitty scowls at Red before turning back to Laurie. KITTY: Laurie, you have no future ahead of you, and you have nothing in your life right now. Just look at how you spent today. You sat around, watched TV, and drank all your father’s beer. RED: (looks up) And in the future, Laurie - always save one beer for Daddy. LAURIE: (to Kitty) Look, will you get off my back? I have a plan for my future, all right? Find a guy who’s loaded and get married. KITTY: You? Married? I think you left out the part about the unexpected pregnancy and the quickie divorce for your fiancé! RED: See, Kitty? She has it all worked out. She’ll find someone who’s nice, and... not Kelso. Someone who can take care of her. LAURIE: Exactly! (beat) But - Daddy, I could have a career of my own if I wanted, right? RED: (beat) Well, sure. I just don’t want you to set yourself up for... like what happened at the college. If you set the bar too high, the fall might be... you’re just so pretty! KITTY: Oh, I give up. She storms upstairs. Red stands. RED: Kitty, wait! (to Laurie) Here’s five dollars. He slips her a five and runs after his wife. Laurie stares at the money and sighs. The doorbell rings. Laurie stands and crosses to the door. She opens it to reveal Fez, his face and hair a sticky pink mess of bubble gum. LAURIE: What the hell happened to you? FEZ: Please don’t laugh. They all laughed. The audience, the usher, the ticket boy... even the Oompa-Loompas seemed to mock me with their doompaty-doo-doo. Laurie bites her finger to keep back a laugh. FEZ (cont’d): I cannot get the sticky out! Help me, please? LAURIE: (shrugs) Well, at least someone’s day sucks worse than mine. Get in here. She takes Fez by the shoulder and pulls him inside. She struggles to get her hand free. Once she does, she lightly pokes him in the back with one finger to guide him into the kitchen. CUT TO: INT. ICE SHACK - NIGHT Donna stands and looks out the window. Hyde and Jackie still share the left bench. Hyde now drinks his beer, while Jackie holds his right hand and examines his knuckles. JACKIE: What I don’t understand, Steven, is why you’d even come on this stupid trip if you didn’t care about what Michael was up to. HYDE: Have you been sleeping? Gilligan screws up less than Kelso. This is prime-time entertainment here - with beer. He holds up his can and takes a sip. JACKIE: Then why did you keep Michael outside instead of watching him try something with me? And – (holds up Hyde’s hand) What were you two fighting about in the van? HYDE: (beat) Boy, Forman’s sure been gone a long time, huh, Donna? DONNA: Yeah. I hope he’s okay. But what did he have to get so worked up for? I’m with him. I love him. Why can’t he see that “time alone” for me doesn’t mean “time broken up from him?” HYDE: Come on, Donna. Give him a break. Forman’s still in shock you’re even with him. So just ‘cause he’s a little insecure, you leave him out there with Kelso? I don’t know what that guy meant by “sharing warmth,” but whatever it is, Forman’s not gonna like it. DONNA: (laughs) Okay, maybe that was a little much. (looks back to window) I wish they’d get back soon. JACKIE: (to Hyde) And what about your insecurities, Steven? Did you or did you not feel something after our date? HYDE: Does it matter? You didn’t feel anything. JACKIE: Well... HYDE: 'Well?' What do you mean, 'well?' You're gonna tell me you did feel something now? JACKIE: (beat) Ugh, I don’t know anymore! Everything is a mess! Michael’s still after me, Fez was after me, I was after you but you didn’t want me, then I thought I didn’t feel anything with you and you said you didn’t either but I think you did, and Donna says I should take a break and be alone even though I don’t want to be, and I’m wet and hungry and I hate the smell of dead fish! Jackie throws Hyde’s hand away, screams, and buries her face in her hands. Hyde turns to look at her. HYDE: All right, fine, Jackie. You wanna know? I feel... He looks to Donna, who shakes her head. HYDE (cont’d): I feel... I feel like Donna’s right, man. All this crap with Kelso and Fez and... forget it, man. Take some time for yourself. Donna gives a small nod. Jackie looks to Hyde. JACKIE: Is that all you feel? HYDE: No... I feel like I busted my hand on Kelso’s head. Donna laughs as Hyde bends down to put his hand on the ice. CUT TO: INT. FORMAN LIVING ROOM - NIGHT Red leads Kitty back down the stairs. RED: Now, try not to worry so much, Kitty. Laurie’s just our little girl, after all. KITTY: She was a little girl ten years ago, Red. She is a woman, and that woman is going to end up with a beer gut and gout. Red sighs. He takes Kitty over to the couch, and they both sit down. Laurie bursts in from the kitchen. LAURIE: (to Kitty) Okay, look. The reason I haven’t done anything with my life is because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. KITTY: Well, sweetie, the post office has a dental plan that’s - LAURIE: Shhh! But earlier tonight, something happened that made me realize my passion: hair! KITTY: (beat) The musical? LAURIE: No! (she tugs on her hair) Hair! Look! She steps to the right of the kitchen door and holds out her hands in presentation. Fez steps out, with a short, closely-cropped hairstyle. All trace of gum is gone. He stands with his hands on his hips and a very satisfied expression. LAURIE (cont’d): Fez had an accident, and I fixed it! And when I thought about it, I could see that this is where all my talents were! Mom, Daddy - I’m going to beauty school! KITTY: This isn’t something you do through the mail, is it? LAURIE: No. It’s a real school! KITTY: Oh. Well... yay! She starts applauding. RED: Congratulations, sweetheart! LAURIE: Thanks, Daddy! (to Fez) Come on, Fez. Let me practice a manicure on you, and I’ll introduce you to my easy friend Susanne. Fez grins, and lets Laurie usher him back into the kitchen. RED: So, Kitty, what do you think? KITTY: Eh. RED: Yeah. He turns on the TV, and they settle down on the couch. CUT TO: INT. ICE SHACK - NIGHT Everyone is still in their same places. A knock sounds at the door. Donna hurries to unlock it. Eric is waiting outside, his cheeks and nose red with the cold and frost caked in his hair. DONNA: Oh my God. Are you all right? ERIC: Oh, yeah. Three-mile walk to the nearest rest stop, three miles back, snow, wind chill, Kelso trying to cuddle the whole way. No big deal. Donna cups his head in her hands and kisses him. DONNA: Eric, I’m sorry. ERIC: (beat) Me too. (gestures over his shoulder) One of the truckers offered us a ride. He’s waiting outside. DONNA: My hero. ERIC: Perfect couple? They share another Eskimo kiss, gather up their things, and head outside. Jackie and Hyde stand. As Jackie collects her bag, Hyde takes his jacket off and puts it around her. She looks at him. HYDE: (shrugs) You looked kind of cold. JACKIE: Thank you. She briefly places a hand on his cheek. They get their things and head outside. CUT TO: EXT. ICE SHACK - NIGHT Kelso is standing right by the doorway of the shack as Hyde and Jackie leave. He notices Hyde’s coat around Jackie, and that the two are walking closely together and smiling at one another. He gasps in shock. FADE TO BLACK CREDITS INT. FORMAN BASEMENT - NIGHT Fez, in his new haircut with Eric’s bathrobe over his clothes and Red’s hat in his hands, dances around the basement while “I’VE GOT A GOLDEN TICKET” plays on the record player. He uses a pool cue as a cane. RECORD (aud. only): I never dreamed that I would climb Over the moon in ecstasy But nevertheless, it’s there that I’m shortly about to be ‘Cause I’ve got a golden ticket I’ve got a golden chance to make my way And with a golden ticket, it’s a golden day! END.

Nina, imagine this: Let's say 20-something!Hyde travels in time and has the chance to be with season-1!Hyde. At some point, older!Hyde fucks up and reveals he was with Jackie and teen!Hyde is all 'NO WAY MAN, NOOO' because he's still treatening her bad/stalking Donna. It makes older!Hyde realize he was an ass and gets angrier at himself for letting his Jackie go. What's next? (PS: teen!Jackie finds out about older!Hyde without knowing they were together and has a crush on him)
I love this! We already talked a little about it, and I did this too. But let’s talk about actual story…
Okay, I can’t do anything without ‘why’s and ‘because’s, and I came with the idea that in 1989, Hyde gets a call from Donna in the damn middle of the night yelling at him that Jackie is moving back to Point Place with her 6 years old kid and her 3 years old divorce.
He is amused that Donna is now doing matchmaker after the way she was to Jackie back in 1979 and how she was to them when she found out about their relationship in 1978. “I was a kid, and a very bad friend. Shut up and listen–” he has to listen to her saying she has seen them during reunions and she knows they are closer than ever, and that everyone knows he has feelings for her so he should try something now.
Alright, now. He does has feelings for her but things aren’t that easy, alright? She has a kid now, is totally into her career and now that she is going to be the literal replacement of Christine St. George, she probably won’t want to be woo’ed right now. That’s his new excuse. Donna just rolls her eyes.
But, the second he sees her during the little welcome back party Mrs. Forman did for her, he knows it’s not gonna be that easy to runaway from his feelings now that she is back. After spending the entire night talking to her and her kid, he realizes maybe there’s something he could do. Maybe this time they are ready to be together for real.
That night though, he finds himself trapped in traffic when he is going home. An accident maintains him there and when he gets out to help since no one else does, something happens once he is back in his car and driving home: his house isn’t in its place. In fact, the entire street seems to don’t exist, there’s only dirt.
Not knowing what is going on, he drives around Point Place when he sees in awe, a younger version of Kelso walking a younger version of Jackie home. He follows, just to see them stop at the old Burkhart manssion, a house Jackie sold years ago, where Jack Burkhart himself gets out to tell Kelso to go away while teen Jackie whines about it.
What the fuck?
He searches for answers, going to Grooves that doesn’t exist either. He finds a paper and the date tells him what he is been suspecting: he is back in 1977, somehow.
After panicking, he realizes his younger self is still living with Edna and he drives there. The house has all its lights on and his teen self is sitting on the porch, drinking and smoking at fucking 16 years old, what the hell was he thinking? Dammit. He still doesn’t know what is happening, he drives away, gets some sleep in the hotel he will work later -Holy fucking shit, man- and when he wakes up… yep, still 1977.
By accident, he ends up bumping into his teen self and to his surprise, the kid doesn’t seem to notice they are the same person. Maybe is the fact that he has shorter hair, a beard, it’s obviously much older, and he just– he knows he looks different. He dresses different, talks different, he is an adult. This kind of helps him to get out of that one, but hanging around his old house, watching Edna abuse him, he has to help– himself.
It’s weird at first. His younger self of course doesn’t let him get near him, especially when he tells him who he is. Finally, he proves to teen!Hyde he is saying the truth by telling him what will happen the next weeks, that the second he tries to kiss Donna, she is going to slap him so hard, a red mark will stay on his face all night, that he is going to be rude to Jackie without reason and the trip to the ski cabin will be a drag to him.
All of it happens, and teen!Hyde goes back to adult!Hyde with wide open eyes, asking what the hell is he doing there. Now aware that his adult self doesn’t know the answer to that, he can’t keep himself from asking things about the future to which adult!Hyde decides to not tell him more. Yet, it actually turns out nice that he can tell his teen self that the thing with Donna was not cool at all an that he needs to stop being an asshole to Jackie.
“Why?”, teen!Hyde keeps asking and he can’t help himself but roll his eyes before simply saying, “Because she’s a damn human being, moron”. He can’t help himself, every time teen!Hyde mentions Jackie, a part of him wants to go tell that girl what he knows Kelso is doing and he wonders what was that, why he never told her the truth. He asks this to teen!Hyde and he says that is funny to burn Kelso, which makes adult!Hyde kind of angry, and in the middle of his shit he reveals something he shouldn’t.
“You are gonna be so angry at you for this later…”
“What? Why?”
He can’t tell him about him and Jackie, he is afraid to ruin shit or something, so he quickly dismiss the conversation just to be found– by Jackie. Teen!Jackie believes him when he says he is Hyde’s uncle, even when she looks at him weird because of how well dressed and clean he is (damn you, money). Suddenly, he remembers how much Jackie used to search for him when shit was going down in her life, and seeing her trying to get some comfort from his teen self warms his heart and also makes him angry, because he was such an asshole.
Maybe this crap is about that, about realizing he doesn’t deserve Jackie so he doesn’t have any right to try something back home. As the days goes by, and he doesn’t know how to get back home, prom comes and he ends up helping his teen self with everything. Seeing the memory up close, he realizes this is the night he started to see Jackie different and when his teen self comes and asks him if this is why he told him to stop being an ass to Jackie, he says yes and accidentally lets him know something will happen in the future.
“Am I going to like her, like I liked Donna?”
“What? No! Jeez, kid. No.”
“Uh. Okay…”
There’s something there. Like lightning, the memory of thinking he should had kissed her before being the good guy almost made him jump from the bed at night. He tries to ask teen!Hyde about it, if it’s something his mind just made up because of his real feelings for Jackie or if its a memory.
He remembers feeling like shit during that time. Not because of Jackie, or Donna, but Edna. That was the time things with his mother were worst, and in just a few weeks, she was going to leave him. The idea not only makes him dislike his mother even more, but he is now worried about his younger self.
Now, he has the chance to warn him, to help him somehow. But, doing all this will change things back in his present, and for teen!Hyde’s life future for sure. Would it be okay to do those things? He has already changed things, he has noticed his teen self is less of an idiot to Jackie and, will this make things different for them? What about Kelso, and his friends? And yet, he can’t find a way to go back home and, more important, he doesn’t know why he is here in the first place.

Eric Forman (That '70s Show): INTP
Dominant Introverted Thinking [Ti]: Eric always picks up on logical inconsistency and readily points it out when others make mistakes. He does this compulsively, and often at inappropriate moments because he can’t resist a chance to correct others. Eric is a huge sci-fi buff and often defends Star Wars when his friends and family try to point out how unrealistic it is, claiming that certain elements could happen. This is indicative of a personalized logical system. Eric takes in what he is willing to believe and denies what he doesn’t. He’s clearly intelligent, but has no desire to impact his external environment. He thinks for the fun of it, not to apply the knowledge he accumulates. He’s skilled at debating and tends to overthink things. He can sometimes ruin moments because of his need to analyze everything that’s happening. Eric doesn’t typically get hung up on the facts of a situation and tends to be more of an abstract thinker. Sometimes, it’s hard for Eric to be direct and precise when he speaks. He’s not very decisive and tends to go back and forth on things as he acquires new information or considers alternate perspectives (Ti-Ne). He can appear to make a firm decision, only to change his mind shortly after. Eric’s dominant Ti and lower Si often clashes with Red’s high Si and Te, leading to many of their disagreements. He can often be stubborn when he reaches his own conclusions, shutting out other people’s opinions because he values his own rationale and thought process more than other people’s opinions.
Auxiliary Extroverted Intuition [Ne]: It’s fun for Eric to speculate about possibilities. He’s willing to believe in things he can’t see or prove (Ti-Ne) and often becomes so caught up in his ideas that he doesn’t pay attention to his physical environment or what’s going on right in front of him. He has a wild imagination that allows him to describe vivid possible scenarios and fantasies in conversation, which he comes up with quickly and easily. His brain makes many connections, which is evident from his sense of humor. He’s good at coming up with metaphors and relating his experiences (Si) to other things. Eric is extremely talkative and often ends up rambling, much to the annoyance of his father. Although Eric’s Ne is used mainly for his own personal entertainment, he also utilizes it to think of how situations might play out. When he’s trying to decide on a course of action to take, he uses his Ne to come up with a variety of results, both positive and negative. Eric has trouble committing and often second guesses his decisions. He asks Donna to marry him and when Red pressures them to actually get married, he decides he isn’t ready. Then when his wedding day comes, he’s unable to go through with it.
Tertiary Introverted Sensing [Si]: Though Eric is unconventional in a lot of ways, there are certain traditions he does believe in, and feels uncomfortable when they’re threatened. Donna is a feminist and wants to work, but Eric feels that he should be the provider and Donna should take care of the house and be at home with the kids. He feels the need to provide for her and the thought of things being the other way around makes him uneasy. “I’m the man and the man’s the man and that’s just the way it is.” Eric lacks responsibility, discipline, and focus. He’s not really detail-oriented in most situations and can sometimes be careless and forgetful. Eric can easily recall information about ideas or things that interest him. When he enjoys something, he likes to revisit it. He loves watching, talking about, or collecting merchandise from Star Wars. His Ne utilizes his Si in making references, which he employs regularly in his various witticisms.
Inferior Extroverted Feeling [Fe]: Eric is socially awkward and doesn’t really know how to comfort other people. However, he can use people’s emotions against them and be manipulative. For instance, when Donna is planning to move away for school, he realizes that she has become more interested in sex because of how much she’ll miss him when they’re apart, so he plans on her emotions in order to get as much sex as he can. “This could be the last time that you and I…” or “This might be the last time that I…” Eric struggles to keep his mouth shut, even when it might get him in trouble. He can talk about his feelings when he wants to, and when he does, he’s able to articulate them. Eric can be sacrificial, and though he’s adamantly against it at first, puts off college in order to stay home and help out after his father’s heart attack. At times, he can have trouble understanding where other people are coming from or why something upsets them, but, once given some time to reflect, he is able to give sincere apologies. Eric will tell a lie to spare someone’s feelings and avoid an argument. He sees that when Red lies to Kitty to make her happy, it works, but when he tries the same thing with Donna, she gets angry at him (Si-Fe). It works for them, so maybe it will work for him, too. Sometimes, Eric can be a little childish and immature when it comes to his emotions and can become insecure and sensitive when criticized or when he feels others view him as incompetent. Eric often requires external validation from his friends and family to make sure he’s doing the right thing and can become stressed if people disagree with his choices.
Note: I would say that about 85% of the time, I see Eric typed as an INFP (with the other 15% being ISFP), but I don’t see Se, Ni, Fi, or Te in him. I think some of the problem is stereotyping. Eric isn’t focused on school and doesn’t have a mathematical or scientific mind. He also feels more than the stereotypical INTP and lacks detachment. That doesn’t mean he’s not an INTP, though. Not every INTP is robotic, as they’re often portrayed. I know one INTP who is detached and doesn’t really display emotion, and another INTP who is sensitive and has no issues expressing her feelings. There’s no one size fits all description, and functions can manifest differently in different people. Eric’s Ti is displayed through his own subjective rationality and reasoning. He doesn’t typically have strong beliefs about right and wrong or good and bad. He can put his feelings into words when he wants to. He doesn’t really have high moral expectations and doesn’t appear to have a strict value system. Most of the arguments I’ve seen for Fi-dom are very weak and not actually representative of what Fi is. I’m currently doing a rewatch of That ’70s show (it’s what I’ve been throwing on to go to sleep to), and I’m actively looking for signs of Fi/Te. If I find evidence of these functions, I am completely open to retyping him in the future, but for right now, I see more Ti/Fe. And, if anyone who believes him to be an IxFP wants to leave a comment and raise a few points, please do! I’m more than happy to try to look at things from another perspective.
Enneagram: 6w7 Sx/Sp
Quotes:
Red: Kitty, did you look at that list? If I had known what I was coming home to after my heart attack, I would’ve walked straight into that bright light and never looked back. Kitty: Oh come on, it can’t be that bad. [sits down I’ll do it with you. Cause what’s good for the goose, is good for the gander. Eric: Actually Mom, Dad’s the gander. [They stare at him] The male goose. So it would be what’s good for the gander is good for the goose. [sits down] So, [picks up the paper] lets take a gander at what you’re giving up with the gander. [He laughs while Red and Kitty continue to stare at him.] That’s how you do that.
Kitty: Do you have to breathe so much, it’s like a sauna in here Eric: Alright, you heard the lady, no more breathing Kitty: I didn’t tell you not to breathe, I asked you not to breathe as much, there’s a difference Fez: [to Red] For crazy people Red: Hey Ali Baba, close sesame Hyde: Red you missed the exit Red: Oh damn, Eric you’re supposed to be watching the map, what are you doing? Eric: [He holds up the map which he folded into a crown] Making you a crown because you’re king of the road!
Eric: So I told my girlfriend we could go to different schools, everyone does that right? Lisa: My boyfriend and I have been going to different schools for three years and now we love each other more than ever. Eric: And I bet when you get together, it’s like a thunderstorm. Ted: [to Lisa] Hey pretty lady. [She kisses him] Eric: Excuse me, hello? Didn’t you just say you have a boyfriend? Lisa: Yeah but he’s not here Eric: [to Hyde] I told Donna we could go to different schools, if Donna doesn’t hate Marquette, we’re screwed Hyde: Who cares man? I just turned down a half drunk college chick, I’m pretty sure she could do stuff
Eric: Well… did you see that? I told you the truth and we got into a fight. My dad told my mom she’s pleasant, a whopper of a lie, and they’ve been married 150 years. Donna: I don’t care. I want you to tell me the truth all the time. Eric: No, no, you don’t. It’s like when women ask whether or not their outfit makes them look fat. How many men tell them they look fat? Zero. How many women look fat? Not zero.
Donna: [first lines] You know, Eric, I’m really happy with our relationship right now. Eric: Yeah, me too. It’s like we’re way past the broken up and miserable stage and we’re back in the having sex again stage. Yeah, thumbs up from this end, too. Yeah Donna: I’m serious. I mean, we’ve been through a lot, and even though some of it wasn’t exactly fun, I mean, it was worth it, because now we know we can handle anything. And we don’t freak out about the little stuff. Eric: Right like that time we got into that big fight because I ran over your cat Donna: That wasn’t little stuff, I really loved that cat. Eric: Yeah, I know, I meant the cat was little…
Eric: I don’t want to wake up in five years and hate my life. Red: That’s unavoidable.
Jackie Burkhart: Eric, if it makes you feel any better, Michael was really bad his first time, too. Eric: Oh, that’s supposed to make me feel better? Jackie Burkhart: Doesn’t it? Eric: [realizes it does] Yeah, a little. Thanks, Jackie.
Eric: Look at our poor little tough guy, hurting others to ease his own pain. Kelso: I think someone needs a tickle. Fez: No, I’m okay. Eric: Look, Hyde, we’re your best friends and we’re here for you, okay. We’re not gonna let you go through this thing alone. Hyde: Would you shut up, Forman? I’m fine. Kelso: You know what, Eric’s right. We’re gonna do what guys do for each other. Fez: A massage train? Eric: No. [to Hyde] But we did get you a present. [cut to the circle] Hyde: It’s a great present, guys. I especially like the teeny white paper you all wrapped it in. Kelso: Yeah, the only thing that could ruin today is if the Russians set off that Russian death ray that’s pointed at the White House. No, seriously. No, I read about it in a magazine. Eric: Kelso, that was The Flash, and it is a comic book. Fez: I love comic books. I wish I had thought bubbles… You see anything? Hyde: Kelso, the Russians don’t have a death ray, but they do have a stupid ray and it’s pointed directly at you. Kelso: No, the Russians do have a death ray, and I’ll prove it. [dials on a phone] Operator, give me the White House. Eric: Kelso, I’m not allowed to make long distance calls without permission. Kelso: Oh, awesome, I’m on hold and they’re playing that theme song to the President. Eric: Hail to the Chief. Kelso: Thank you, Eric, but I’m trying to enjoy the President’s theme song.
Eric: You love Marquette and I’ve made my peace with that so we’re just gonna go to different colleges, drift away and make out with guys named Ted because these are things we can’t change, you’re gonna get menopause and I’m gonna die! Donna: Eric, I’m not going to Marquette. Eric: Oh. Well, never mind. Donna: I loved it there and was so excited to tell you about it but the drive took forever and I realized that’s how far we would be from each other all the time so I’m going to UW. Eric: Oh, Donna. Donna: Eric isn’t this great. We’re going to be together all the time. Eric: You’re not going to get all clingy. Donna: [playfully] Shut up! Eric: I mean, I’m going to be a big college man. Donna: Uh-huh. Eric: I’m gonna need my space.

I'm a ENFP, Griffendor and give off a yellow vibe 💛 I'm a bit ditzy in certain aspects but I'm funny, intuitive and very creative, I sew clothes, draw and paint. I'm Irish and dyslexic. I am a very good listener and give great advice :)
I love fantasy, conspiracy theories and creating characters with complex backgrounds B)
Thank you so much! 🥰💛💛
Hi! Of course you can! :)
I spent a few days thinking about yours because I wanted to make sure I can do the best for you. By the way, you sound really pretty <3 and a badass!
I hope you like your matchup! I'd love to hear back from you.
Steven Hyde x Reader
-Y/n L/n an incredibly popular girl in the small town of Point Place.
-It wasn't just because of her beauty and talents, but because of smart, kind, and full of sunshine she was.
-It wasn't a secret that most of the boys her age wanted her.
-She even outshined the infamous Jackie Burkhart (which she hated.)
-So, when she became a part of the group, she found herself constantly with them, pretty much living in the Forman's basement.
-She grew to like Fez constantly touching and playing with her dark curls. She even gotten used to him smelling it and then always complimenting how good is smelt. (Like coconuts and vanilla)
-There was one particular curly haired, aviator wearing boy who had caught her eye; the only one who wasn't constantly fawning over her.
-Kelso was constantly hitting on her, Eric would make subtly hints on how hot she was, and Fez made no effort to hide his attraction towards her.
-While she found his advances towards her rather cute--and sometimes creepy--she couldn't help but wish that it was Hyde who was hitting on her.
-She saw him hit on other girls in the Hub and at work where they worked together in the record store, but she couldn't help but feel a little pang of jealousy.
-But nonetheless, she kept her distance, respecting that he may not feel the same as she did.
-But, oh, how she was wrong.
-Steven Hyde pulled his infamous move and kept her at arms length so that he couldn't get attached.
-If there is anything he was good at it was hiding his feelings for anybody.
-His aviators helped conceal his feelings--and his red, glazed eyes when he was high.
-She was super cute, especially during casual nights when she would crack jokes and giggle at the stupid stuff Kelso says, or the pranks Hyde pulled on the boys.
-He knew he couldn't be with her; she was full of sunshine and radiance, her inner beauty making her even more beautiful.
-He knew everything about her; her likes and dislikes, especially her love of conspiracy theories (they have talked for hours just talking about it and that's when he started to develop his feelings for her) her love for writing, and even found that she had dyslexia.
-When she came out to him about her bisexuality, he found out that he was the only person who knew because she trusted him enough to not mention anything.
-He was floored that someone who trusted him this much to keep.
- "I have to ask," he said. "Which chick do you find the hottest?"
- "Oh my God, Hyde," she laughed but thought about it for a minute. "If I'm being honest, Jackie. I mean, Donna is gorgeous too and all, but Jackie is a petite, cute little thing and when she isn't being, well, a total bitch, I want to just cuddle with her and squeeze her so tight."
-Steven grinned at her. "Hot."
-Y/n laughing before shoving him off the couch. "You're a pig."
-But she was also very funny and very wise. She was always the first person to help when her friends needed her, the ear to listen to about all their problems, the hands that would help pick up others, the lips that would turn up into a bright smile, making anyone around her smile with her.
-And not to mention that bangin' bod that she had goin' on that was almost damn near impossible for him to look away from.
-For Christmas, she painted him a Led Zepplin painting that was full of colors and shading; a near replication of the actual band themselves, but with a beautiful twist to it...the most thoughtful gift anyone has ever given him. He proudly hung it in his room that day.
-But despite how good she was to him, he knew he could never return those feelings.
-He was too dark, too brooding, too independent, too negative, too aggressive and...too much.
-His energy could never match hers.
-He'd never be good enough for her.
-It wasn't until long the group caught on about their feelings for each other.
-They got tired of the longing stares, the dance arounds, and the sad puppy dog faces that they always wore when the other wasn't nearby.
-So they conjured up a plan.
-The perfect time came when Y/n was over in the Forman's basement, watching Three's Company and Hyde had just walked in through the door.
-Fez, Donna, Jackie, Kelso, and Eric all looked at each other before they all stood from their seats.
- "We'll be right back," Eric announced.
- "Alright, where you guys going?" Y/n asked.
- "Uh, nowhere," Fez responded smoothly.
-Hyde eyed them suspicious
-They split off into two groups; Jackie and Donna took the stairs door, locking it.
-Kelso, Fez, and Eric took the basement door, blocking them in.
- "Kelso! Forman! What the hell are you doing?!" Hyde shouted through the door.
- "C'mon guys, let us out!" Y/n called through the basement door.
- "No! Not until you confess your feelings for each other!" Jackie shouted through the door.
- "What?!" The two said together.
- "You think we haven't noticed the way you two are with each other?" Fez asked.
- Y/n looked at Steven before turning her attention back to the two girls blocking the door. "I don't know what you're talking about."
-"Oh, whatever, you are lying!" Jackie said.
- "Just tell her how you feel, man," Eric encouraged.
-After a few minutes of going back and forth with the group, the pair gave up and found themselves standing in front of each other.
- "Is it true?" he asked.
- She looked him in the eyes before nodding. "Yes. W-what about you?"
-He looked at her for a minute before he reached out, grabbing her face and roughly brought his lips to hers, bringing her in a bruising kiss.
-After what felt like a decade, they pulled apart lips swollen.
- "I'll take that as a yes," she said, chuckling.
-He tucked hair behind her ear before pecking her lips one more time. "Yeah," he said breathlessly.
-She smiled before leaning up one more time, kissing him softly, completely entranced by the kiss.
-And man was he a good kisser.
-She wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his around her back and waist to pull her tight against his body.
- "Finally!" Fez called out from behind them.
-They break away to give him the "go away" look.
-"Now, let's go to the hub."

What’s your next fix about + when can we expect it to be posted?
Hi! My next fic is called Those Who Play with Demons.
Summary: Jackie and Hyde live in Point Place, a town kept in order by Mayor Burkhart and his sheriff, Red Forman. But a murder and disappearance set off a chain of supernatural phenomena. While Donna, Eric, and the rest of the town grapple with their new normal, Jackie fights to regain what she's lost.
---
Unfortunately, I can’t say yet when it will be posted. This is one of the most complexly plotted T7S stories I’ve written, and I’m still working on the first draft. I’m almost finished with that, though. Then I’ll revise, which should go a lot faster than the first draft.
I’m also making a looooot of extras for this story. I’m hoping to make this a fun, immersive event for all the readers who’ve enjoyed my T7S fanworks the last ten-plus years (however long they’ve followed my work). 😊
The closer I am to posting the story, the more info I’ll give out. But people are free to ask me questions if they’re curious. I may or may not give informative answers. 😅
