The shop bell rang and you looked up to see a man with a giant tattoo on his head walking up to you. As soon as he saw you, his face grew a playful smirk.
"What's a handsome guy like you doing in a place like this," he asked.
"This is a flower shop," you replied, trying not to laugh at the ridiculous pick up line. "I work here."
He cleared his throat, smiled more genuinely, and said, "Oh right. Well, I have been sent to buy my commander apology flowers."
"Apology flowers," you asked, smiling. "What did you do?"
"Excuse me," he replied, feigning offense, "It wasn't just me. Several of my brothers were also responsible for her clothes catching fire in the dryer."
"Oh, well that makes it better," you joked back.
He got quiet for a moment and genuinely looked in your eyes, his lips curling into a soft smile. There was something exciting about him, but you also saw true kindness. You nodded toward one section of the shop and helped him pick out some flowers so you could make a boquet.
He lingered after making his purchase. "Hey, umm, would you maybe like to get some caf sometime? I'd like to get to know you. I'm Jesse, by the way."
"Jesse," you said, "Yeah, I'd like that."
so...... i've been having some jesse feels......
*sigh* this is SO soft. and SO sweet. and omg.
Beloved, you have done it again. turned my lil crush into something so much more.
thats IT though. NO MORE. i can only handle three.

#ramble#if you say unalive in front of me i will personally kill you with my hands#you just can't muffle and censor and hold someone's hand through some things#some things are horrible. and they should be spoken aloud and they should upset you. because they are horrible#the second we started kidzbopifying the world was the end of taking anything seriously i think#i'm not even joking i've spoken to people older than me who won't even say the world sex#this isn't the playground you're not going to get in trouble just let us say the word!!!!!!#how am i supposed to listen to you when you won't even say the thing you're supposed to be talking about#yes this is the fault of the platforms with their censorship rules but the fact that we all just go along with it like it's not dystopian#you do know it doesn't stop with cursing right. people are already having to censor queer terms because they get flagged as inappropriate
