You take a drink.
If the water is cold to the touch, it is a strike of liquid ice as it flows down your throat.
As it settles in your stomach, you feel your head clear, a fog you hadn't noticed creeping in now gone. (how long has it been, since you last felt this aware and present? years? longer?)
You feel wide awake and refreshed.
The water drips from your lips as you straighten up again.
Then,
You turn back to look.
The Door is not there to go back through. (are you surprised? Or did you expect it to be so, even before you turned?)
The cold still waters stretch around you in every direction.
Below, at the water's edge, you spot a boat.

Currently reading: nothing 😔 despite the fact that i write a lot of fanfic, i struggle to read ever since puberty. But I did just read through the entirety of the fanfic i'd written so far over a couple days for editing purposes
Currently watching: not much. I just watched like 10 seasons of Criminal Minds over the past many months until I got bored of it. But right now, I'm actually watching/listening to a bunch of Jenny Nicholson videos on youtube i found
Currently craving: i fight my demons (cravings) every day. It's chocolate and candy. It's always chocolate and candy...

𝒀𝒂𝒔𝒎𝒚𝒏𝒆’s guide to a healthier, hotter, and less depressed life—
Body reset; healthy foods, yoga, pilates, cardio, low impact exercise. 85% dark chocolate and roasted nuts. Greens. Raspberries. Water. 80/20 your diet.
Mind; put down the phone, read, listen to music, meditation. Buy something nice for yourself every one in a while. Watch an episode of a show you like after a long day of working. Finish a chapter of a book you’re currently reading.
Skin; drink water, have a skincare routine, be gentle, be patient, and eat well.
Getting ready everyday; when you look good, you feel good.
Academics; finish assignments on the day, write revision notes, play music/ podcasts/ambience/etcetera for focus.
Faith; try to get closer to Allah, pray, repent, ask for guidance.
Coffee or tea every morning (this is just what I prefer, but feel free to substitute whatever works for you).
Read or interact with people during breaks. Take a walk. Clear your head. Hydrate.
Sleep; nine hours minimum. Drink water before bed. Deep breathing.
Final, most important step; Be kind to yourself.
