Hey everyone 👋 my family and I are alive and safe after the hurricanes. We evacuated and our house was safe when we returned, we just lost one of our lovely palm trees 🌴

Hurricane Update 🌀

My family and I are all alright, and there’s no damage to my house nor any of my close family’s or friend’s houses! So that’s the great news!!

Bad news: We have been without power at my house since last night, and it’s looking like we will not have power for a while, so I’m using my phone sparingly. We have a small generator keeping our fridge and freezer on thankfully, but no computers or anything else until we get power back.

That’s about it for now. I’ll keep updating when I can, but I hope everyone is doing well!

Hello my dears 💙

As you can see even through the Hurricane I’ve been working on stuff for y’all! Being out of central Florida and getting hit by a Cat 3 Hurricane head on was really intense. We lost power and were up through the night listening as trees fell and fences were ripped from the neighbors yards. We just got power back, and to be honest time still feels like it’s standing still. I know my home is ok but we had to evacuate and our entire neighborhood is flooded. It’s hard to say when the water will go down so we can safely drive home… or if trees will be in The road stopping us from going back home.

I’ll be here creating and safe. Just trying to distract myself till I can go home… really just want to be in my own space again

Sorry y’all it was a CRAZY DAY today after the hurricane at work. Which is what this message is about, an update. Everything is fine. The most we got was very strong winds and heavy rain. The eye of the hurricane actually passed right over our town. But thankfully no major damage where I live. Thank y’all each individually for your thoughts and prayers. It means a lot to me!

Hey! Thank you for asking. I did survive the hurricanes. Helene was mainly a lot of rain & some wind for me. Coastal areas of Tampa had storm surge & flooding, but that storm hit decently far north of us. Milton on the other hand was a beast for Tampa.

I was actually out of town at a dance performance thing with one of my dance idols, Zoe Jakes, when he blew through. Here are a few photos from the show...

So my dad had to prepare my house & take care of my kitties. Luckily I only had a good amount of tree damage & some spotty wifi due to tree roots pulling up when I returned. No flooding or long term power outages.

Most of Tampa is still in the process of recovering though. Lots of flooding & wind damage. Tons of power outages. It's gonna take a while for Tampa to get back on it's feet. A couple of the studio's I teach at flooded & got damage, so work has been a bit weird. Frankly though, Tampa has gotten really lucky for a really long time & our luck just finally ran out. It was Tampa's biggest storm since 1921, so over 100+ year streak was bound to end eventually.

I did also end up in the hospital unexpectedly this week for a few days. That was a hell of a surprise. We think it was a gallbladder attack. Sadly none of my Doctors were as hot as Doctor Strange. Long story short, it's been a very long month & it still isn't over yet, lol.

So hi hello I live in Florida and after hurricane Milton we are still dealing with his BULLSHIT!!! lost power at 8:30pm Wednesday and we STILL don't have power. Our front and back yard is flooded. Looking like a mother fuckin lake frfr. Had a ton of branches and sone full ass trees come down. But we are safe, we have no water in the house thankfully, no damage to our roof. We do have a generator so we have food thankfully. Just zero air so it's hot af in our house.

The deepest parts of the flooding are about up to my knees/lower thigh for reference I'm 5'4 so SO much fucking water. This sucks ass

But I live in Florida so I'm not all that surprised tbh

Good news! The hurricane shifted west enough that we've really only gotten the outer bands of rain and some wind. They're saying we might get a second wave here soon but it doesn't look like it'll be too bad.

I'm thankful it wasn't worse. Though we still have people in my county without power from the wind. And a coworker of mine had a window shatter in her house, solely from the wind blowing so hard.

Husband is home with Little Man. His job closed for the day so he gets to stay home. Lucky. I went in at 10 and I have no idea how long I'll be here for. I'm worried I'll be working a 10 hour shift 🙃 but it is what it is.

hey, friends.

we were hit by hurricane helene very hard. we have no power, cell service, or running water where i live. the surrounding towns have varying levels of those things, but we have had to travel about an hour or so away to get any kind of cell service, water, food, supplies, and a generator.

my family is safe and we are all okay but a good percentage of our town is still underwater. our home is safe despite some minor damages.

i guess i just wanted to update y’all in case i’m not back in the next couple weeks. we are supposed to get power back before everything else i think, but it is supposed to be a while in general.

despite the fact i am okay physically, i am not doing well mentally. i love you all so so much. if you could, just keep us in your thoughts during this time and if any of you all are going through something similar, know my heart is with you as well.

so... my interpretation of guide!reader may be vastly different from others but with my vast assimilation of yours and others content, this is my variation of the one I like envisioning involving concepts such as yours (Humans are NOT Hylians and Guide!Reader) so this is my official start to the ramblings *DEEP INHALE*

when I read the post about reader losing their sord and just punching the monsters and it is working along with the other links being amazed

I imagine that because of the fact that hylian's are so light that they didn't put that much into the growth of physical arts

they can punch and kick fine but that's more so used for scraps agents one another, rather than in fights against monsters

hylian's don't have enough strength or weight to have it be worth it on the battlefield

its much more worth their time and energy to learn things like swordsmanship or artery, and be nimble

but guide dose have: the muscle, weight, durability and training necessary for such a strategy to be worth it

It would be more effective for the reader to use the Muay Thai and Taekwondo they worked so hard on instead of learning something new

Hey!! If u read my tags of my last reblog, im doing better, we got back to town and realized our powers back on, and then the next day luckily our water was back on too

(its not drinkable but at least we can flush the toliet/shower 😭)

Luckily too by this point the water distribution/rescue crews are here,

Im personally still on the lookout for missing ppl (my coworker has missing family in the town nearby and in telling my friend over there to spread the word)

And cellular service is back up, but they may jut be bc they brought in temporary towers/Tmobile is giving out free service for everyone too

Its slow going still, all these developments are taking days to achieve if u cant tell

And no pressure, esp if u dont have the spare money,

The wind is howling outside, and it’s raining relentlessly right now. It should go on like this til about 5 in the morning. As of now I still have power, and all is well.

We are safe! My home is safe! I cried with happiness 😭 there's tree limbs down but they can be cleaned. My roof is in tact, no water damage from leaks or flooding, no broken windows. Also no power, which we expected. But the water and sewage are running again after being turned off for a bit.

During Irma we had no power for 7 days. We are on day 2 so far with Milton. Let's see which one wins. (Please let it be Irma, come on power!)
