Bad Things Happen Bingo: Bloody Nose

Summary: Hunter gets his bandana.

One day, when the Batch were biologically 9 years old, Hunter walked into their barracks with his wild mane of regulation spurning hair neatly corralled by a strip of red fabric. Three pairs of eyes studied him unabashedly. Hunter pretended he didn’t notice. No questions were asked, no answers were given. And that was that. Hunter wore a bandana now.

Months passed, and the memories of what Hunter looked like without his red bandana faded. Which is why it was all the more shocking when he came into the barracks, minutes before lights out, without the now familiar bandana. But he did have the shadow of a developing black eye and a bloody nose. Hunter avoided making eye contact with his brothers as he made for the fresher.

Crosshair caught him. “Hey! What happened to you?”

“I’m fine,” Hunter growled. He tried to shove past Crosshair, but Crosshair merely grabbed him by both shoulders and steered him to sit at the table.

“Tech, get the first aid kit,” Crosshair said.

“I said I’m fine!” Hunter protested, but his eyes were becoming shiny and red, a figurative and literal bruised scowl twisted his expression.

“And I say you’re a karking liar,” Crosshair snapped back as he dug through the kit Tech meekly provided. “Are you gonna tell us what happened?” He handed Hunter a wad of gauze.

Hunter puts the gauze under his nose, voice muffled behind it. “Just some stupid regs.”

“Why’d they do it?” Wrecker asked, his stuffed tooka, Lula, clutched in his fists.

“It doesn’t matter why,” Hunter said.

Crosshair activated a cold pack and holds it against Hunter’s swollen left eye.

“It matters to us,” Tech said.

Hunter lifted his shoulders in a shrug. “Regs don’t have to have a reason.”

“But these ones did,” Crosshair pressed.

A chime sounded, giving the one minute to lights out warning.

“It’s too late to talk about it now,” Hunter declared. He took the ice pack from Crosshair. “Go to bed.”

Glances are exchanged, but four cadets climb into their bunks without another word.

“They took his bandana!” Wrecker cried.

“That is true in all likelihood; however, there’s nothing we can do about that now. Hunter won’t tell us who the regs are,” Tech added.

“And even if he did,” Crosshair said, “it’s not like they’d give it back.”

Wrecker jumped up from the table where the secret meeting concerning Hunter was being held. “We should get him a new one!”

“From where. We don’t even know where he got the first one,” Crosshair grumbled as he picked at a loose thread on the sleeve of his red cadet uniform.

Tech watched him for a moment then smiled. “I have an idea.”

Hunter was surprised when he returned to the barracks and found it empty. His eyes drifted over the room, searching for any clue where his brothers might have gone to. That’s when he saw a burst of red fabric on his bed.

He picked it up, a long strip of fabric hemmed with neat, even stitches. The same kind of stitches Crosshair used when he’d repaired tears on Lula.

A new bandana.

Not the worn, raggedy piece of fabric he’d found in a bin.

Hunter smiled and ran to the fresher, tied the bandana around his head and admired it in the mirror. It was perfect.

When his brothers returned a few minutes later from wherever they were, no questions were asked, but three barely contained smiles was answer enough.

Hello it's @clone-anon

You sat with Hunter, relaxed against him as he had an arm over your shoulder and kissed your temple. It was a beautiful day and you'd found a secluded spot under some trees. You both talked quietly, like you were sharing secrets, even though you weren't talking about anything in particular. You got quiet after awhile, enjoying the scenary and closeness. You wanted to kiss him and he could feel your heart start to race. You moved to caress his face before placing a sweet kiss on his lips. Hunter smiled and rested his forehead on yours.

You gently rubbed your thumb on his cheek and then moved your hand to run your hand through his hair, but stopped yourself before you could. Your face dropped and you pulled away a little.

"It's okay," he said, still holding you so you couldn't fully retreat.

You looked at him with wide eyes.

"You want to touch my hair, don't you?" He grinned. "It's okay."

You knew how important his hair was to him. How particular he was about his bandana being placed just so. You were always keeping his heightened senses in mind.

He could sense you were still hesitant and took his bandana off. He picked up your hand and placed it along the side of his face. He kissed the inside of your wrist and nodded. You smiled and tentatively ran your fingers through his hair. He leaned into it a little and you smiled, gaining the confidence to continue. You kissed deeply, hand still tangled in his hair, and as you pulled away you were both grinning.

"Only for you," he said.

Well. I have NO IDEA no idea at all why you might have sent this to me today…👀🤭🥰

[WIP] "Shenanigans at the beach"

The Dad Batch (and Omega) deserve a day of blissful relaxation, I don't think there's anyone out there who wouldn't agree!

While Tech is taking the best nap of his life [Part 1], Omega and Wrecker joined efforts to make the coolest sand-Tipoca city there is out there!

But hold up just a second...

-"Hey Wrecker, look!"

"...now wouldn't it be a shame if someone was feeling extra mischievous today?" Omega thought to herself. Turning to her left, lips pressed in a smile, she discovered Wrecker mimicking her expression. Apparently, he had just read her mind >:).

Tech had felt such peace, such safety that he had fallen into a deep slumber, further fueled by his usual lack of sleep.

Tough seldom wrong, today he was.

Because at this moment Tech was, in fact, in grave danger.

- I have decided to make as many "beach episode" themed drawings as I can during the summer (and fall if we get there cuz why not) so i'll just post them as I'm done with each of 'em! I have SO many ideas for it and I want it to be a big project and not some sketches as I had initially planned. I want to make it WHOLESOME and HEART MELTING!! Whenever I get burnt out or need some fresh air I'll draw other things, probably still within the Star Wars theme because the brainrot is real🤓, but just letting you know in advance because AAAH!! this is a big thing for me and I want to share it with you guys because love is all you've shown me and I want to reciprocate 💕 🥺 

- and last but DEF NITELY not least I want to celebrate thAT I REACHED 300+ FOLLOWERS TODAY!! AND ALSO 1000+ NOTES ON MY OMEGA DRAWING??!! IN LIKE NO TIME TOO!!? WHAT THE FRICK. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!

hunter has spent two seasons trying to stop omega sacrificing herself at every opportunity, while crosshair has been obliviously kicking his feet in his little cell, not knowing the unplumbed depths of nonsense he’s been missing

hunter should approach crosshair with a grim look and a soft shake of the head. he sits down heavily. claps crosshair’s shoulder, making crosshair flinch. then hunter cracks open a beer and passes it over. “fucking kids, eh?”
