Lunter fanfic idea but throw The Calamity Trio into the mix: “We’re lost in L.A! But at least I found a familiar face and found a new group of friends”. Or aka Lunter meets the calamity trio.

All characters are aged up and it’s an alternate universe canon divergence and I got inspired by this by doing my daily of liking amphibia fanart and I found a fanart of seeing the girls going through their prom even thought their in their 20’s and then it hit me what if Hunter and Luz decided to go to L.A for a vacation but during their trip of traveling around L.A in their rented car, they found the calamity trio just walking away from their middle school or high school that held the prom and Luz instantly recognized Anne from her voice and hair and that led to her telling Hunter to stop the car and getting out of the car and meeting her long lost friend who she lost contact for over 10 years and then everyone began to introduce to each other after driving their way towards Anne parents house or Anne’s apartment to hangout.

Also the comic con panel reading and the chibi-verse short are sorta reference in the fic idea but there will be changes to it. Also the calamity trio are just platonic friends they’re not romantic partners sorry Sashannarcy fans. Inspirations:

Dipper: When he's sick, I can see him either just lounging on the couch watching t.v, or Mabel is practically holding him down in bed to keep him there. Basically "I feel awful" and "I'm fine!"

Mabel: I think she's the productive kind of sick. Very much not happy with not being able to go hang out with friends but will knit so many sweaters.

Coraline: I think she would be all dramatic but in a joking way. "Oh woe is me, mother! I'm going to die!" "It's just a cold, Coraline."

Wybie: He is the good child. He's going to chill in bed with his tissues and maybe a DS.

Norman: He is also the good child. Norman is going to take this chance to watch zombie movies all day.

Neil: I think he might be dodging his older brother's "get better quick" shakes but honestly he's probably just going to watch t.v and call Norman.

Raz: I can also see Raz being dramatic but in a more serious way. He'll stay in bed though. I am now questioning if when psychics get sick, if their powers act up. Like, Raz sneezes and the water in his water bottle just blasts out. If when Lili sneezes, if something lights on fire. It would be fun.

Lili: She hates this! She wants out of bed now! Raz tends to hang out with her to try to help her deal with this. This then results in Raz getting sick. Even though Raz ends up being dramatic with his cold, he'll never get upset at Lili about it.

Wirt: So the last comic that came out was Sister's of Charity and in this one, Wirt has a cold. Wirt honestly starts eating oranges and wants to practice self care.

Greg: He's probably like a lot of kids who are sick. He'll just play with his toys and nap more. He will relish in not needing to go to school.

Anne: She is dramatic as all get out! "Sprig I think I'm going to die!"

Sasha: She will be dramatic but in more of a way of "this suuuuucks! I want to see my friends!"

Marcy: She is actually very happy when sick. She looks at this as an opportunity to binge Lord of the Rings or whatever that movie is that she really likes.

Luz: I think we've all seen that episode of Owl House where Amity meets Hunter. She be loopy.

Okay that AU where calamity trio gets transported into Demon Realm!!

Putting Marcy into the castle is so perfect it hurts!! Again, the evil ruler. But ALSO! She’ll nerd out so hard with Hunter! She will be the one to discover glyphs and eventually get Hunter to be more trusting discussing the wild magic! Not in the open, of course! But Belos had forbidden Marcy to leave, because the outside wolrd is full of dangers with wild magic and she is a fragile human!

And then one day she’ll sneak away into Belo’s workshop and will meet Collector!! She will introduce them to games dkshh! Belos won’t know they are talking, and she will keep sneaking away to meet them!

Sasha will be in Latissa where the Glandus school is?? She will enroll in school, because of local power circles! She will have a concealment stone to hide her ears and hack her way in without the magic, through some artifacts or something xD That way she will also meet Hexside kids in competitions. That’s how she will meet Amity and her gang. (Sorry Anne has no business befriending Amity, it was Luz’s schtic xD)

And Anne! I don’t even know with Anne xD On one hand logically the perfect place for her to be with Eda. But Eda has the portal, so Anne wouldn’t be stuck like in Amphibia. But I don’t know any other place that will keep her away from Eda for too long. Unless Anne will refuse to use the portal until she finds Sasha and Marcy?

She won’t enroll in school no way xD but will be friends with Hexside guys(and will hear rumors about this new kid in Glandus and won’t know its Sasha!!). She will help Eda with her business and learn how to fight with magical artifacts!! Maybe bond with palismen <3

And then she loses the portal door like in s1 and will be stuck permanently(thankfully with normal clothes and no leafs in the hair xD). Sasha won’t know it was Anne, her face hidden in cloak.

ok so the one from the calamity trio who goes the Boiling Isles in this is Marcy

Marcy's parents tries to send her to the camp because of how she acts in canon and sees this as a good opportunity to try to shape her into what they want

yeah they aren't entirely good people basically

she follows this pair of newts who tried to steal her switch

she meets Yunan and Olivia who live together in the Newt House who are witches! ooOOOoooO

they're on the run from the Emperor's Coven and their leader, Head Witch Andrias, for betrayal and stealing the portal door

Marcy who doesn't wanna go back home tries to convince them to let her stay and learn magic

when they inevitably come around, Marcy attends Hexside and eventually meets Anne and Sasha

so here, Sasha and Anne are the Mean Girls (not really Anne, she's more like Skara but she gets screen time and development like in canon. same goes for Sasha)

Anne and Marcy hit it off while her and Sasha don't

overtime, there's a falling out between them, with Anne and Marcy go together and Sasha is left alone with... uh, army of students she gathered on social hierarchy??

oh yeah did i mention Grime is her adopted father, with Percy and Braddock being honorary uncle and aunt

Anne is with her parents but can be regularly seen with the Plantars

Ivy and Maddie are the detention track kids

and that's really all I could think of rn

Luz, Amity, and Hunter are the humans in this one

however they didn't know each other beforehand

Luz's 15th birthday is coming up when Camila announces that they're moving away from Gravesfield

and Luz is... ok with that

Luz doesn't really have anything or anyone in Gravesfield besides her mom and it's always been her mom's dream to open her own veterinary clinic

so if it makes her happy, she's happy

Camila gives her money to at least find some kind of gift to herself since her birthday is coming up

Luz eventually finds the music box at some antique store

but before she can return home with it, she's runs into Amity Blight

Amity Blight, the top of her class, student role model, and definition of bitch /hj

her gang as well, consisting of others and Boscha (Luz: the hell kinda name is Boscha

Boscha: shut the fuck)

she steals the music box

BUT THEN A FUCKING WHITE BOY STEALS IT AND RUNS AWAY

so now you might be wondering: what the fuck

so Hunter Wittebane is this homeless 16 year old who ran away from an orphanage and is now stealing to survive - within reason of course

and the one place who wouldn't kick him out immediately is probably the public library

there he learns of the music box and what it does

he obviously doesn't believe that it actually takes people to other worlds but it could cost a lot of money which, you know, he needs

so using his pathetic white wet cat energy, he manages to take the book with him and see if he could find it

he of course wasn't expecting someone else with it much less fighting over it

so he does the most rational Big BrotherTM thing ever and goes

well if you can't share, you can't have it

and fucking steals it

they go on this goose chase, Luz because she paid for it, Amity because Hunter knocked over Boscha and she can't go because she hit her knee Amity!! she is in pain!!

eventually, Hunter gets cornered and Luz, being herself, tackles him

the music box gets thrown and hits Amity who in frustration kicks it away and accidentally activates it

they get sent to Amphibia

Luz is in Wartwood, Amity at Toad Tower, and Hunter at Newtopia

Luz eventually runs into the frogs, Willow Park and Gus Porter who near immediately take her in

Amity ends up with Raine Whispers who is staging a rebellion with the BATTs. they're obviously not called that in this setting but whatever

Hunter stays in with Lilith Clawthorne, the supposed ruler of Amphibia

and yeah that's about what I have

They canceled The Owl House.

They hardly advertised Amphibia and did nothing to stop the True Colors leaks.

They wouldn’t allow Alex Hirsch to put queer characters in Gravity Falls until the last episode, and even then it was speculative.

They wouldn’t let Daron Nefcy give queer characters speaking lines in SVTFOE unless it was their last appearance, and even then they were side characters - one of them had like three words as lines.

And still, they put The Owl House in their pride section, they put Amphibia in their pride section, they put Gravity Falls and SVTFOE in their “pride” section because acknowledging our existence is “being an ally”. Yes, it really is being a good ally when you don’t even put a non-binary character’s proper pronouns in the subtitles. It really is being a good ally when you don’t even know the ship name of the most progressive queer ship in the history of disney. It really is being a good ally when you put three colors in a heart and proclaim that “representation”. 

It isn’t.

I actually totally forgot about those sites, thank you for reminding me! Honestly I agree, after watching both of them, I can agree that these episodes were really good to decompress with. Also I'm getting hyped up for Mother of Olms next week...- IDFS Anon

It's good to have relatively low stakes episodes, especially this late in the season.

I know people are frustrated for some things in both shows but tbh sometimes it feels more like entitledment than any real critic.

It was great seeing Willow grow more, and how she affected Hunter.

Luz and Amity's low stakes b-plot was funny and a cute hidden message to the fandom and the reasons fanfiction and writting as a whole exist.

It was great seeing more of the Wartwoodians, how much faith Sasha has in them, and her and Anne talking at least a little about their still lingering problems.

Knowing the olms and the underground (I was sure it was going to be underwater) city of Protheus was cool.

And we are finally, FINALLY, meeting the Mother of Olms and knowing more about the prophecy (of which I have a bad feeling).

...Also probably address the Marcy situation, because of, y'know the Three Stars thing.

[Shortly after meeting at a con, Luz invited Marcy over to her house to meet the rest of her family, the Hexsquad]

Luz: So Marcy, this is my brother Hunter and based on what you and Anne told me, you both have something in common. In that you were both possessed by a bad guy.

Marcy: Really? How’d yours go? If you don’t mind me asking, you don’t have to answer or whatever.

Hunter: It’s fine, it’s just that I’m a magical clone of my uncle’s brother whom he killed when he found out that Caleb (me) married and was having a kid with a witch. Since then he’s made dozens of clones and killed them each time when they sympathize with the witches. When I found out my uncle’s secret he tried to kill me too. He possessed me in his goop form and mortally wounded my best friend before drowning me to get some Titan’s Blood. Luckily Flapjack saved me but by giving his life and magic to me. What about you?

Marcy: Oh I didn’t want to move away so I basically kidnapped my best friends to a world of talking amphibians. I was manipulated by King Andrias who was my friend and a father figure to me but he used some of the secrets I told him against me to separate me and my friends during his bad guy reveal. I tried to use the music box to open a portal for my friends to escape but he stabbed me through the chest. I would’ve died if he didn’t put me in a rejuvenation tank but that was also to heal me so I can be a puppet for the Core; a collection of Amphibia’s greatest minds. They kept me trapped in a mindscape and when I figured out it wasn’t real they put me in darkness. Luckily my friends saved me but not before I hurt Sasha and Grime real bad. The Core however was a sore loser and possessed the moon and tried to crash it into the planet but Anne went god-mode and destroyed it but then Sashy and I had to watch as our crush disintegrated into leaves.

I just remembered Hunter's Sprig plushie. That would be a fun interaction with the Amphibia group.

a Toy maker on the Isles using Oracle magic to peers into other worlds in order to find inspiration for new toys and just happened to see a certain pink frog, however just like how Amity was the only one to buy the Azura books, Hunter was the only one that bought a Sprig plushie. His surprise when he finally met the real one thanks to a meet-up party between Luz and Marcy. Hunter had the same reaction to seeing Sprig for the first time that Luz did when she first saw King.

(While at a party with the two groups, Sasha once found the Sprig plushie and got into a drunken argument with it thinking it was the real one...her wives and Luz has it all on film.)
