Had to do the chart for my Emsider ship as featured in Through Dark Waters story

I suppose this could be considered a spoiler for it...Or maybe it is only a what if.....

Was fun finding a suitable grand outfit for Emily to wear that fit the Dishonored aesthetic of NO skirts but was still very very regal and formal. Same, giving Tyr the Asymmetric style in DH2. The flowers on the cake.....same flowers that grow on the shrine in the Conservatory district in DH2.

So in my fanfic world I have Colt and Juliana being related to my version of Humansider but I also headcanon that Pick Rexly is canonically related to humansider. (Like she’s the in game and the other two are only in my writing)

I’m not sure why but she looks sort of like him to me and how else could she remember the loops?

I don’t know what I expected.

Dunwall Tower’s cavernous halls echo my footsteps with a poignant loneliness as I create distance between myself and the infirmary in which Corvo lies. The sound of my slow retreat reverberates through the night, each connection of the heel of my boot to the floor the strike of a hammer to a nail. Pounding, pounding, pounding. It’s a personal funeral march that plays me all the way back up to the Royal Protector’s chambers.

Forgiveness? Acceptance? Is that what I thought I would receive? How pitifully naive of me. I’m far too old for hopes such as that.

When I reenter the room, it’s no longer the prison Emily kept me confined to for the last two days. It’s a haven, a private sanctuary in which I no longer have to pretend I wasn’t just hollowed out entirely by Corvo’s words. The intricately mahogany-adorned walls greet me with a familiarity that stings. The instant the door swings closed, whatever strength was left gives out and I sink down to my knees.

Now I understand what the Stone Ones truly meant when they said my time was up. It wasn’t just Salvadair’s blade that brought everything crashing down, but his words as well. They were what cut the last thread holding up the sword that’s been hovering above my head for months. All of mine and Corvo’s secrets poured out just as liberally as our blood. There will be no regaining of my place here, not after this.

The way he looked at me, with so much betrayal and malice and almost…  disgust.

I can barely breathe at the thought, but I must acknowledge the truth. Whatever we had is over. That much was made crystal clear.

Pulling myself back to my feet, I rummage through my half of the wardrobe until I find an item that’s gone so unused that it’s made its way to the back, covered in loosely piled items. My suitcase.

Void-stained. That’s what the Stone Ones called me. For a while I didn’t quite know what it meant. I even repeated it to Corvo at one point without fully understanding it, because it simply felt correct. Now, as I meander around his chambers and gather up my belongings in a haze, I finally come to terms with the phrase’s deeper meaning.

It means I will never truly be human.

I will never not be amused by the endless irony of AM and how he, a machine with nothing but hatred and envy for the humans who created him, was so loved by his Harlan Ellison (the original author of the story, AKA his real life creator) that he HAD to voice him in every single installment of IHNMAIMS possible, not letting anyone else take him.

The very thing AM hates most is the one that gives him life and keeps him alive outside of the narrative. In a way, it's similar to how he keeps the five humans alive in the story, but at the same time it's the opposite spectrum of it: the burning hatred of the machine versus the boundless love of the artist.

Final Bug Fact:

The world NEEDS bugs. They keep the soil healthy, pollinate, control pests, and contribute to the worlds' ecosystem. By the end of the century, it is estimated 40% of insect species may go extinct due to habitat loss. Yes, that is very scary. But with even one beetle spared, one caterpillar rescued, and one Hollow Knight comic of all things, things will change. Because I know there's a lot more Dewi's out there than most people realize. Stay curious.

Comic Thoughts and Pictures Below!

I wanted to put here how amazing and sweet everyone has been with this comic. I finished a 75 page comic in 3 MONTHS. I am at a loss for words. That sounds crazy and it IS crazy. But man was it fun. Even on days were I wasn't able to draw due to fatigue or business, I loved working on it from start to finish. And guess what!? This is my first ever FINISHED comic :D I'm so proud of myself. I know there's some things I want to change and the art is wonky in most places...... but I'm content to let it be. What an amazing summer adventure!

I'm hoping to post the full comic on another Comic website. I may or may not edit some of the art ^w^ So I'll let y'all know when I release it.

Interested in learning what you could do to help your local insects? This is the basic stuff. Maybe make some Insect Hotels if you have the time!!! And never forget to spread the word about bugs. They need our help just as any animal on earth.

does the bbc even understand how much money they’d make if the made a Disney Enchanted 2007 style Merlin sequel where Merlin has been alive, moving from place to place, magicking himself young and aging then moving and magicking himself younger and aging then moving and suddenly Arthur pops out of a lake, completely unaware of current events and is walking around demanding his manservant, claiming to be King Arthur Pendragon and he either

a. Gets on the news somehow and Merlin, doing whatever he’s doing now, sees and drops everything because WHAT IS ARTHUR DOING HERE AND ALIVE

b. Meets Merlin who has been working as a detective somewhere -because that’s basically what he did anyway-solving things and helping people, the family business, and Arthur is dragged in, handcuffed, and plopped in an interrogation room or the drunk tank with the cop who found him saying like This wacko thinks he’s some medieval king, go deal with him, and Merlin scoffs and walks in, promptly dropping his files and spilling his coffee when he sees a disheveled and petulant Arthur, who goes Merlin, finally, get me out of here already, will you and Merlin starts crying lmaooo

or c. Meets Merlin who has been working at an ER because, again, he was physician adjacent, and someone drags a wet Arthur in, like Found this, it looks like he might hypothermiate deal with him, and Merlin sees him, drops his files, spills his coffee, and starts crying hahaha

because I’m thinking that’d be fun and probably everyone on tumblr and everyone who knows someone on tumblr would go bonkers over it
