my name is luna sagar. i am a human hunter and part of a, luckily, very much still alive fireteam composed of a warlock and a titan.

i have blindly placed my faith in many individuals and organizations before, but i never thought i’d fail to realize this trust will never bring me the salvation i’ve been seeking. drifter would laugh at the word. salvation. who am i kidding?

the lost stories of our dear traveler abandoning entire civilizations to their demise has been lingering in my mind ever since i’ve read our archives- not that i doubt his reasons. it’s more a question of whether or not he’ll do the same to us.

it’s fear like these that currently has me in a chokehold. it is all in the past but it did not fail to write the eliksni’s history. it shaped them and now defines their people. their past is the reason we are able to call upon the house of light for help. their past defines them. what if it defines me?

i refuse to dwell in the past and revisit painful memories. that is why i firstly stopped caring about my logs. but rhys, my ghost, has convinced me to at least write the parts i wasn’t shameful of.

having the chance to live an extended life does have its mouthful of consequences- and opportunities. i am eager to learn more about all of you and everything that you are.

My character, Rohan Persaud, a witch, was adopted and raised by a human couple in Maine, USA and learned of his magical nature later in life. 

He has younger biological siblings whom he has never met (who may or may not know each other), but you mostly have complete creative freedom about them, their parents, and their upbringing. The first WC filled will determine the narrative, and this post will be updated to reflect their backstory. 

Rohan’s own birth parents likely have ties to New England or to nearby Canada.

The circumstances of Rohan’s adoption are largely up to you with how you envision your character’s parents’ story. Young star-crossed lovers not ready to raise a child who later got back together? Witches under attack who hid their firstborn baby among mortals? Was the half sibling the result of an affair or a new relationship? Were they born in the interim and grew up with their brother or sister? The possibilities are open!

Also open is how much your characters know of Rohan. Did they track him down to Lunar Cove? Is his existence a surprise? Has fate brought them together? Your character would not be a local or coven member, as they and Rohan do not yet know of each other.

CHITRA

Chitra is the 14th Nakshatra in the sidereal zodiac and is ruled by the planet Mars. Its ruling deity is Tvashtar, the celestial architect, responsible for fashioning the outer persona of individuals. I remember seeing the first stage banner shortly after I started playing SaGaRS and being quite surprised by seeing Wagnas/Noel/Roc all human-like, not that Noel and Roc didn't look more human than the others in the first place but I had no idea of the stage play back then XD What Termite Queen!? The Overlord

The tyrannical warlock known only as The Overlord is the supreme ruler over the alien planet of Sagar.  He comes from a long line of despots who have lorded over Sagar and its denizens with the combined might of the Powersword and the Starsword.  

These two swords became disconnected and while Overlord retained the Powersword, the Starsword fell into the hands of the marooned human astronaut named John Blackstar.  Using the powers of the Starsword, Blackstar helped to lead a rebellion to topple Overlord’s oppressive regime.  

The Overlord meanwhile continues to seek out the Starsword so to regain his full power and put down the rebellion once and for all.  He has sent his many minions after Blackstar and has battled the hero himself, but has thus far been unable to achieve his goals.  

Actor Alan Oppenheimer provided the voice of The Overlord, with the villain first appearing in the debut episode of Blackstar, airing on September 12th, 1981.

As a man, his contributions to the world were sinister. He wasn’t evil, simply a survivor who was dealt a bad hand in life. Was it so bad to capitalize on the grief of others? To lie? If they were willing to pay then why was he the villain for taking their money? It didn’t matter that he touted moss water mixtures and powdered beetle moltings as ancient cure-alls when they held the same healing properties as dirt, he was providing hope to the wary who’d otherwise have nothing but despair without him. Didn’t that count for something? These pathways of thought were exactly what kept him able to sell his snake oil to countless despots without shouldering an ounce of guild. However, that shamelessness kept him vulnerable. After a reasonably disgruntled customer tracked him down to the next village over and beat him senseless for selling a bottle of nothing, a mysterious traveler was the one to tend to his wounds and hear his heart’s truest desire. All he wanted was to stop being seen as some evil charlatan by his customers. When asked if he was sure he said yes, and his world immediately burst into searing flames. He could barely hear the stranger’s laughter over his screams, but the sound would stick in his ear even once he’d been entirely consumed by hellfire. What he didn’t realize at the time was that where he was headed, the Abysss, no one would see him as evil at all. The devil who marked him thought it prudent to claim his soul then and there, granting the wish and adding to his army in one fell swoop. 

  It was impossible to know how long he was in the Abyss, the torturous burning never stopped. Ever second of his time there was marred by the eternal laughter in his ear. By the time he managed to drag himself from the trench of hellfire that life he led as a human seemed like some kind of distant dream. His soul had been twisted beyond recognition and he rose to a new hell, one filled with liar, frauds, and heretics like him. His name now was a curse, Uegg, a sinister omen from a dead language. It took much more time for his frenzied mind to understand the game he’d been thrust into, and in a hellscape for some of the lowest dregs in life the game was as brutal as it was addictive. Deception was the rule of law, hold onto the spark of intelligence long enough to trick someone stronger. Never stop climbing up no matter how painful and maddening the journey is, forever. Like the other demons, Uegg played all he could until he witnessed a devil return from the mortal realm. The first thing they did was toss the strongest within his domain back into the trenches of flame. Those who could crawl back out were presented with more favor while those who couldn’t were left to toii all over again. Uegg realized when the devil played this particular game, he was completed engrossed which gave him his idea. The next time the devil left he’d play a trick and escape this trial, and finally gain real power. Uegg’s game began the next time the devil was summoned away.  He got good at catching demons off guard, slitting their throats when their guards were down. Even stronger demons were helpless in the face of a true deceiver. He honed his power constantly until Uegg had acquired rank through force while his devil patron was away, though the fool was too old and pompous to ever acknowledge that. Another took his place with the devil began to toss his strongest into the pits, providing Uegg his chance. He looked spindly and weak, but there was power beneath his skin. He’d garnered it for centuries and once he was sure his overlord was satisfied with his homecoming shake-up, Uegg did the devil in.

  Their battle was quick and brutal, mostly because Uegg took advantage of how little the devil paid attention to him. In the end, it was his cunning that allowed him to surprise the devil with his dissent and from the ashes of that battle rose a new devil to command the legion. Conquering territories and other armies, slaying more devils simply to add to his numbers all while toying with those already under his command. That became Ueggs’ existence in the Abyss. He enjoyed catching wind of plans to usurp him only to let them play out and squash all hope at the last second. He enjoyed sending his armies to war with another for no reason other than he could. Uegg enjoyed being a devil so much that he thought it was silly to want to go to the mortal realm at all. That is until an opportunity presented itself. His predecessor was old and scattered relics to conjure him across the mortal realm, associating false stories with each one and spreading them like wildfire. Those tales became legends over time, and those legends inspired questers to quire them. Some thought they were seeking eternal youth or unlimited power, but each relic was a lie meant to invoke the name of a devil. Uegg heard the call of his former’s name and decided to answer it, passing through the door some naive elvhen unwittingly opened. They hoped to find a way to fix the Laurelin tree but instead found a cackling devil happy to bathe them with his hellfire. They tried everything, including warding with the name they thought was his until all there was left to do was plead. They begged for mercy, an end to the burning, and to have their mistake corrected. So he granted their wish, burning all evidence of their existence and their conjuring. Uegg had new forces to add to his already great numbers and a newfound source of enjoyment. There was something especially amusing about the torment of the faithful. 

  With old tricks in a brand new game, Uegg positioned himself as a charlatan of a different nature. A mysterious traveling miracle worker who restored fields and healed the ill. He always seemed to appear when people were at their most desperate. They’d offer livestock, cloths, or anything as tribute if only he washed away their problems. Uegg would gleefully accept, turning the downtrodden into his darkfriends. He delighted in the torment of humans, they were much more entertaining to harm than demons. Never staying in one place for too long, he travelled for nearly a century deceiving innocents into making wishes over and over, creating a constant supply for his legions in the Abyss. Uegg would spend many years creating darkfriends before he stumbled onto one who helped him unlock a new level to his game. A clergyman desperate for an ear to bend spoke of his desire to see a holy war, creating a spark of cruel inspiration within Uegg’s mind. He’d use the man’s faith as a playpen, sew conflict, and add the faithful and their targets to his legions. Adopting the name Dantalion Althais, he convinced the clergyman to teach him about the One God’s light by lying about the miracles he was capable of. He was thought to be favored by the One God, many in the Vanguard of Light could see as much. With a prayer to the One God Dantalion could cure an ill child or light his sword with a powerful flame of judgement able to smite the undead and any who stand in the way of the One God’s glory. He was strong, a true believer, happy to travel and spread the word and destroy enemies of the Church. The game was too easy. The wish was granted, all he had to do was watch from the sidelines. The pieces fell into place all the while he created more darkfriends from practitioners and Vanguard members alike. He traveled, the King was deposed, and Astoria has been at war ever since. A conflict on that scale created an endless supply of grief, and as he continues to stoke the flames of the holy war within the Vanguard, he’ll grant wishes for any desperate enough to lend him their desires.

cytus joe post jumpscare. this guy has so much trauma and is a genuinely interesting character but he gets memed because of tomato beer. he has such character development in his dlc but none of that matters because so many people only pay attention to his appearances in the free content (often being memed) and when they DO look at his dlc they usually only mention the human trafficking. like his whole deal with the gangs wasn't important to his eventual growth

i'm not really upset or anything but man. joe is a good character but rayark kinda just shoved him aside like they did with neko, sagar, and rin during 3.0. they're all really just there to be emotional support or something.

like it's not even a case of rayark making a boring character that COULD be interesting like sagar, they made a character that has actual development and is very intriguing and then they straight up don't care about him like hello

There's a lot to unpack here so I'm going to skip any unnecessary part. A day has passed, I have been through more books than I own and I had to limit the amount of information to note since my head is overflowing. Here's a few pages on alchemy practised in different parts of the world:

Transcript of the first page: Alchemist tried to split anything into very very mall pieces. There was even the attempt of a periodic system that puts chemical elements in order. Though they used so called "Decknamen", secret codes for substances only alchemists understood. There are a few noble metals: gold (associated with the sun) and silver (with the moon). The base metals are quicksilver and mercury (associated with mercury), copper (with venus), iron (with mars) and tin (associated with jupiter).

Transcript of the second and third and fourth page: Indian alchemists didn't care much about gold but rather health. Even the oldest sacred Hindu texts contain alchemy and their elixirs were aimed to relief specific pains and diseases. Through this Ayurverda came into existence which is used today in India and Nepal and has no scientific evidence to support its use. It is said that gods have given mortals the recipies, including special diets, forms of meditation and essential oil mixtures. Even organ transplantation and rhinoplasty are mentioned. Lord Vishnu came to Earth and taught medicine as Dhanvanthari. His first appearance is in the Ksheer Sagar, the cosmic ocean of milk: "He was strongly built(...), his eyes were reddish and his complexion was black. (...) his entire body was decorated with various ornaments." The second time on Earth he gave humans Ayurveda and is referred to as "father of surgery". He is celebrated today in the Festival of Lights and people ask for happiness and health for all people.

Transcript of the fifth page: Chinese alchemists were interested in medicine and physical immortaloty, and invented an "elixir of life", also called "drinkable gold" and accidentally invented gun powder. A lot of influence came from Taoism, the only religion and philosophy of China, which relies on the concept of dualism. Opposite forces belong together, even if they initially clash, like winter and summer, good and evil and water and fire.

Transcript of the sixth nd seventh page: Another part from the "School of Naturalists", the belief in Taoism, is the concept of the "Five Phases". The generative cycle is the arrows clockwise on the outside, the destructive cycle is the inside arrows. The phases last 73 days:

wood/spring: period of growth; generates abundant wood and virtality

fire/summer: period of swelling; brimming with fire and energy

earth, the in-between period: leveling and dampening and fruition

metal/autumn: a period of harvesting; collecting patience and work

water/winter: a period of retreat; where stillness and storage pervades.

The flow of energy in human bodies was used as a base for healing and recovering.

Transcript of the eighth and ninth page: Arab alchemy is probably the most known one. The most popular alchemist was Muhammad ibn Zakariys Al-Razi. He said "the study of philosophy could not be considered complete, and a learned man could not be called a philosopher, until he has succeeded in producing the alchemical transmutation". He was a physician living in Bagdad and he classified metals as "bodies" and "spirits". There are several al-kimiya (meaning "wisdom") in the Arab world:

kimiya al-sa´ada (way of obtaining happiness)

kimiya al-ghama (way of obtaining richness)

kimiya alqulub (way of touching hearts)

Jabir ibn Hayyan who mostly wrote books on alchemy and magic analized each Aristotelian element and categorized them: hotness, coldness, dryness and moistness. By rearrangng these base metals a new one would be created, whicht hen gave birth to the idea of a "philosopher's stone", a substance that turns base metals into gold.

Transcript of the tenth and eleventh page: Also, Hayyan tried to achieve the so-called "Takwin", synthetic life. It is unknown if this weas meant literally. In his "Book of Stones" he states "The purpose is to baffle and lead into error except those whom God loves and provides for." Next is an example of a page that contains glass test tubes like we know today.

I find the idea of creating a synthetic human terrifying and interesting as well as unnecessary, yet it caught my attention so bad I am currently analyzing a paper by Kurmo Konsa, a professor of history and archeology. Their texts and historical records of the past always seemed to dictate that the things they didn't understand were the things to distrust. To be wary of. Humans. There aren't many recollected memories that Saryn can; even today, grant mercy for the misery the humans have caused him. His own pack dwindled. He'd lost his own father and mother by the age of 11. And by his 'pre-teens', his guardian; Aureo, had to teach him to fend for himself and his future pack - should he elect to join one. It had only made his distaste for humans grow the more he'd incorporate his rage and anger into these sessions. Aureo knew he had to force him to partake in sensitizing activities. Forgery pissed him off. Woodcarving only increased the amounts of unfinished projects. Through ink-work and illustration did he truly find stability. The extent of his broad imagination seemed to distract from the rise and fall of anger that troubled the young Saryn. It granted him a moment's peace - enough to get him to move quietly into the mountains. Contrary to old tales about the silver and orange tiger that stalks the mountain range, Saryn desired companionship- to be understood. What Aureo feared was but the rage of a teenage shifter going through so many emotions and hormonal shifts. It was the whispers of New Haven that captures the man's ear to find refuge amongst those of likened minds. Perhaps it is better to be within numbers. Hopefully this decision to relocate to New Haven still proves to be worth the effort. Even with these unpredictable occurrences and phenomenon transpiring.
