The year is 2024 and a team of archeologists have excavated a strange grave in an old seaside village. The verdant green skeleton of a man who died in his 50s next to the bones of a dog. Alongside them are the bones of two men who passed well into their 90s. DNA testing shows that at least one of them was the ancestor of several prominent imperial families throughout the dynasties, and yet he was buried in this unmarked grave instead of with his family. None of them were related. All of them were buried decades apart.

Creatuanary 2025 Day 17-18, Huli Jing and Kitsune Two versions of the same creature from different regions, fox spirits are smart and mischievous. Some say the Huli Jing traveled to the other regions and that is where their lore began.

As these creatures are artistically extremely similar, I decided to draw them in the same image

Fang Duobing takes one step forward, then another more slowly, as though afraid Li Lianhua will spook like a wild animal. Disappear like an old ghost. Or: a little worse for wear, Li Lianhua comes home to the two people (and one dog) who never stopped looking for him.

White Calamity Li Xiangyi: after the battle of the east sea and the death of Di Feisheng Li Xiangyi goes insane becoming the number one enemy of Jianghu (he wears a crying mask)

Huli Jing Human form: Huli Jing is a demon girl, when she travels with Li Lianhua she has the form of a dog
