wait, is there a discussion regarding what Harry Potter house the strawhats would be in?
Luffy is a gryffindor, for sure. Robin is a ravenclaw along with Chopper and Brook… and Jimbei. I’m a bit torn whether to put Sanji in hufflepuff or slytherin but I’m gonna go with the latter. Franky is a gryffindor… Usopp is a hufflepuff and for Nami im not quite sure but I’d say slytherin. I don’t know about Zoro though, but I’ll say gryffindor.

One Piece Harry Potter AU (Hogwarts Houses) SPOILERS!
Ok ok ok, so first, I'm new to the one piece fandom. I actually have known One Piece for over a decade, and even watched the first chapters (actually, I watched till just the end of Arlong park arc, and maybe I did spoil myself the entire Doffy/Cora/Law backstories because I randomly found out about them and felt in love with the three of them immediately), and I was familiar with some characters, but I wasn't really into it till the live action, and now I'm just obsessed, lol. So just mind this is just my personal headcanon, and I do not intent to force my view of these characters on anyone. Also, SPOILERS, SPOILERS, SPOILERS. Please, refrain from reading if you're not up to date with the manga.
Thing is, I also love Harry Potter, and I was wondering what house some of the characters would be assigned to and this is more or less what I've came up with. Also, since J.K.Rowling confirmed that hybrid houses would kinda be a bit more accurate, I will assign to some characters (most, actually) a mixed house alongside the house I imagine they would be assigned to according to the classical 4 house system. Let's see:
Luffy: Slytherin. "I'm gonna be king of the pirates". Okay boy, we hear you. Also, he won't share his food. Hybrid house: Slytherpuff. I mean, going around doing unintended but still good deeds, his ability to make friends and make people follow him, plus the reciprocal support and loyalty he gives his friends. However, I'm not entirely sure Luffy needs a hybrid house, I feel he's a solid Slytherin, tbh, we know they can also be charismatic and draw people in to follow them. So take the hybrid house with a pinch of salt, I feel Slytherin fits him just right.
Zoro: Hufflepuff. Tbh, it was actually a bit hard for me to choose Zoro's house, I'm not that well acquinted with Zoro, so maybe I'm missing out on this one, but, though he does seems a little Slytherin-like to me, or even Gryffindor (the whole swordman code of honour and all that), Hufflepuff wins this over. He is hardworking and loyal, and he tries to keep things logical (iykyk). Maybe not exactly just, or empathic, but still objective and practical. I feel it does fall into Hufflepuff sense of fairness. Also, Hufflepuffs make a good companion for Slytherins, so him beign Luffy's first mate plays into it. Hybrid house: Slytherpuf. Just like Luffy. "I'm gonna be the best swordman in the world". Say no more. He sure is very hardworking and loyal, but he is also ambitious, and at least as a kid, he was pretty... intense about it XD Heck, even as a teen/young adult he is. However, just like in Luffy's case, I think Zoro would make a solid Hufflepuff.
Nami: Ravenclaw. She's kinda the brains of the group, at least at the begining, and she is quite witty and cunning. I thought about Slytherin because of her being a thief and the cunning aspect of her personality, but it was a bit too obvious for my liking, and I think her personality goes a bit in a different direction when you dig deeper. Hybrid house: Ravendor. I don't know, she just has a Griffindor vibe to me, even if she's a little bit of a "coward" (more like, she's not stupid, tbh), but she did face up to Arlong, and her ambition to save her village all by herself all those years kinda strikes me as a Griffindor; not like a Ravenclaw couldn't do the same (or a Slytherin, she sure had to do a lot of shit when she was part of Arlong's pirates, she was all for gaining her island's freedom at all costs), but there's something in Nami's personality that I find Gryffindor fitting? Hope it's not the ginger bias, lol (although it could be the live action bias). Maybe it's just me, though.
Ussop: Gryffindor. He's kinda the Neville Longbottom of One Piece. I say kinda because both characters are pretty different, but there're undeniable similarities between the two of them. Also, it was stated that you could also be assigned to the house which values you valued the most, and Ussop dream is basically to become a brave pirate captain, so, from that pov, this house fits him like a glove.
Sanji: Gryffindor. That's it. He's a noble knight in shiny armour. He's Gryffindor poster boy. His backstory, how he faces up to his family, but honestly, his entire personality and demeanor and code just scream Gryffindor to me. He's so sweet (more so in the LA) that I was tempted into making him a hybrid with Hufflepuff, but who said Gryffindors can't be sweet? He's a Gryffindor through and through.
Ace: Gryffindor. He feels like a Gryffindor to me. He's a dork, he's brave, he thinks himself a hero, carries himself as such, he's hot-headed, and in the end, that's his downfall. Whatever, I just feel his face would come up first when searching for Griffndor boy in Google.
Coby: Hufflepuff. He's a hard worker and dreams of justice, he's loyal and strong-willed. Plus, he's adorable and a loving child, he's a Hufflepuff u.u Sure, I could make him a hybrid with Gryffindor, as he is brave (he stands against his friend, Luffy, that's part of his arc), but I think most of his personality traits linger strongly on the Hufflepuff side, so I see no need to give him a hybrid house.
Helmeppo: Slytherin. This was so hard, because at the begining he seems to fit the Slytherin stereotype quite a lot, but he does change a lot. And sure, Slytherins can be decent people too (again, to me, going by classic sorting, Luffy is a Slytherin through and through), but there's something else to his character. And that's why... Hybrid house: Slytherpuff. He becomes a very hard-working, just, and loyal individual. Maybe his true nature was hidden behind all that horrible nurturing he got, who knows. He still is at least partially a Slytherin, though (btw, I love him in the la, the actor really made the character stand up).
Garp: Gryffindor. He's mad as a hatter hahahahaha but I love him. He's brave, has a strong feeling of justice, a strict but fair moral code, and he comes up as a bit impulsive. But he has this hero complex going on too, as well as hero guilt (not sure that's a thing, but I hope you get what I mean). Him backing down from becoming an admiral because he believes in freedom and doesn't want to follow orders he already knows he won't like so he can be free to follow a more morally aceptable and chivalric path strikes me as very Gryffindor coded. That sense of justice also strikes me as Hufflepuff-like, but considering the rest of his personality traits, I think Gryffindor suits him best.
Mihawk: Ravenclaw. This was a super tough one. I was so tempted to just throw him into Hufflepuff. Sure, Hufflepuff house values are loyalty, fairness, justice (Doffy knows) and hardwok, but it was said this house would also accept any student that didn't quite fit the other houses, and Jesus, Mihawk was so hard, plus he lives a calm life growing vegetables (smells like a Hufflepuff if you ask me). Problem is, he really doesn't give much of a flying f*ck about anything so... Ravenclaw XD For whatever reason, I do see people from this house being the ones more capable of living an isolated monastery-like life, and that's exactly what Mihawk does, except his life is more of a cementery-like one, plus he has a ghost daughter XD It is also the house that gives me the most "I couldn't care less about politics, you, or your family" vibe out of them all XD Plus, he's a little b*tch with Shanks, not wanting to fight him only because he lost an arm (sure, he appeals to the honour code of a swordman and whatnot, but it still smells fishy to me u.u), and that kinda gives me a Ravenclaw vibe too. Hybrid house: Ravenpuff. Again, he lives calmly, actually acts with honour, kindness and fairness, taking Zoro in and training him, even when he knows Zoro's to become his rival and most probably take his title in a near future; and he values determination, hard work, and fairness in a fight, and again, he grows vegetables, knows how to cook, and enjoys a good wine. That's a Hufflepuff.
Shanks: Gryffindor. He IS a Gryffindor. Golden boy Shanks. I know some people enjoy the idea of him being a Slytherin, and though I do see the appeal of it and it would definitely fit some aspects of his personality (the cunning rat he is), this guy could be a poster boy Gryffindor. His hero complex is also quite obvious (though, truth be told, that burden was bestowed into him since he was a child). His ambition (obvious by his conqueror haki) could play into a Slytherin personality, but it also has a very strong Gryffindor vibe to it. And I said could, yes. Hybrid house: Gryffinpuff. Have you seen him as a kid in the Oro Jackson? How Buggy teased him about being too soft and naive? Sure, Gryffindors can be soft, but kid Shanks is just so Hufflepuff to me. As an adult, his laid-back, goofy, extrovert, affable and charming demeanour also reminds me of a Hufflepuff. Again, people from all four houses can show traits of other houses, there's no clear cut, so Shanks could just be a Gryffindor. But, honestly? I feel he could even be just a Hufflepuff, I would 100% support Hufflepuff Shanks hc too, my sweet alcoholic golden boy (I just don't want his fate to be that of Cedric T_T). Seriously, he IS a Griffindor, but he IS a Hufflepuff too. And that's why I definitely believe this hybrid house suits him the best, it reunites most traits of his personality perfectly.
Buggy: Ravenclaw. I mean, it matches his pretty long hair. Ok, no, but truly, he's a Ravenclaw. He is witty, he is smart, he's creative, he's a showman. His charisma and everything about him, including his goofiness and drastic humor changes, for whatever reason, strike me as Ravenclaw-like. I can think of a charismatic character who belonged to the Ravenclaw house that used his wit and quackery to fool everyone. Plus, as a child he seems to have been more observant and perceptive than Shanks, which makes him seem "wiser" in a weird way; plus he is also very crafty (buggy balls anyone?). He also likes to avoid fighting, be it because he thinks fighting unnnecesary or suicidal, which is quite "clever" of him. True, even in the direst circumstances he gets himself into trouble for not being able to shut his big mouth, but that's just his bombastic personality and caothic nature getting the best of him, he's just a passionate guy, the boy can't help it. Despite what some may think, despite he's egocentric and semi megalomaniac personality, he's also well aware of his weaknesses (I mean, his inferiority complex is quite obvious), and he isn't fond of attention if he hasn't planned for it beforehand. This is obvious by his reaction to all the attention he was attracting after escaping Impel Down, everybody claiming how great he must have been, for he was a former memeber of Roger's crew, a "brother" to Shanks and a close acquaintance of Rayleigh. Yet, he was so shy about it, and reluctant to take in all that attention, till he thought about it and planned a way to take advantage of the situation. A bit delusional, but still a quick-thinking clever guy. Hybrid house: Slytherclaw. Yep, he is also ambitious, and even with his whole inferiority complex and obvious weakness he aspires to be pirate king. He loves treasures and shiny things (actually, this sounds a lot like a magpie, which are close relatives of ravens, and yes I know Ravenclaw's pet is a bronce eagle, but there's still a raven in the name). And again, he is very witty, but also selfish, and he is not beyond abandoning everyone and everything to save his ass. Also, Buggy loves the sea, he would probably like Slytherin common room with its underwater views of the lake and mermaids. It would remind him of the ocean, he would be so happy there (I just want the lil silly clown to be happy u.u). Slytherin is a house associated with water, and we know Buggy was a very good swimer, and he surely loves the sea and the freedom it gives him (by now we all know the real reason why Buggy holds a grudge against Shanks is not exactly sea-related, but I'm pretty sure he still regrets what happened to some extent, though he probably, and rightfully so, blames his dumb self for that). Also, loving the sea, and loving treasure maps, also adds to my Ravenclaw headcanon, because I associate Ravenclaw with the sky, constelations, astronomy, star maps, etc., and to sail you defnitely need to know how to map the sky, and I feel that's something Buggy would be pretty good at, he seems to enjoy maps a lot (same logic applies to Nami, btw, she loves money, but she certainly values map knowledge above money). So yeah, hybrid house for Buggy, definitely. I think these two houses complement each other very well in Buggy's personality and character, similar to how I really like a hybrid house for Shanks (and they would complement each other so well, being from the exact opposite houses).
Roger: Gryffindor. The King, the Hero, the Legend. I don't know, it just fits him right. He's brave, he is hot-headed, he jumps into the fight without thinking. The way he's praised as a hero, with so many followers with that last stunt he pulled off right before kicking the bucket. That's very Gryffindor of him. Whatever went down in God Valley, why Roger decided to side with the Marine, why he didn't side with Xebec against the Celestial Dragons and World Gobernment, got me thinking. We still don't know what really happened there, I feel like the reason behind Roger's actions could change my mind about his house, but as it is for now, I think Gryffindor fits him good.
Rayleigh: Hufflepuff. He's the calm guy. Sure, he fights, and he's a menace, but what he finally wished for was to live peacefully in a calm island for the rest of his life. He's so chill and also fun, and enjoys a good party. Hufflepuff for the Dark King. Hybrid house: Ravenpuff. I don't know, he just has this "wise" bive to him. Maybe it is because of how he wants to have a nice, calm life as an adult. Also his calm and softer demeanour around Roger. I feel a wise and calm partner would be a good contrast to Roger's Gryffindor personality.
Crocodile: Slytherin. He's a snake. Not a crocodile, but still a reptile. Seriously, he's ambitious, he's maffia boss level, he gotta be Slytherin. Hybrid house: Slytherclaw. He's smart, cunning, and has experience. He manages bussiness with expertise, he just has that ravenclaw vibe to him. Plus, I just find the idea of Buggy and Crocodile being in the same house hilarious. At first sight no one would even phantom these two characters to have anything in common, nor his personalities to be somewhat compatible or similar in any way or form, yet this hybrid house fits them both like a glove.
Doflamingo: Slytherin. I mean... I hope the giant fish bowl that is the common room reminds him of the fashion back home.
Corazón: Hufflepuff. The boy is all heart. He believes in justice (heck, he's a marine), he's good-hearted, golden-hearted even, basically, a cinamon roll. He's also most probably a pretty hard worker, and he risked his integrity for a kid he didn't even know all that well. Also, he's a "trickster", so to speak. He must be a Hufflepuff, no doubt. Hybrid house: Gryffinpuff. He has a lot of the traits of a Gryffindor. You can't deny he's brave. He overcomes trauma as a child, and is willing to revive it and face his brother, spying for the marine, while dealing with Doffy's crazyness, and then he makes the selfless decision to save Law no matter what, at risk of his own life. He also feels he has some type of responsability regarding his borther's actions, when he truly doesn't, but taking responsability for things you're not really responsible for due to some sort of self inflicted guilt tripping type of torture sounds pretty Gryffindor to me, plus the "I must save the world from my evil brother, and because he's my blood brother, it must be me who faces and stops him" also strikes me as very Griffyndor-like. As I said many times before, I know some traits are shared between houses, and can apppear in members of different houses, but Corazón is definitely at least partially a Gryffindor. This would also explain his betrayal, Hufflepuffs are supposed to be loyal, I'm with Doffy in this one u.u (though I guess he never truly commited treason, as he was never on Doffy's side to begin with, lol).
Law: Ravenclaw. To be honest, a friend convince me of this one, I was so unsure and conflicted about him. But yes, I think Ravenclaw suits him well. His background as the child of doctors, and wanting to follow their parents' steps works out with a Ravenclaw personality. He's knowledge starved, and he's smart and witty, even a bit manipulative. Hybrid house: Slytherclaw. There's no way to avoid Law's ambition for knowledge. He is also quite determined in his path to avenge Corazón and bring down Doflamingo's downfall no matter what. I know determination is more of a Gryffindor and Hufflepuff trait, but it also goes well with Slytherin's desires to get their way, take what they want, and achieve whatever they've set themselves to (which is why Luffy is definitely a Slytherin too).
Aaaand this is all for now, it was already quite long, I may do a second list with the remaining mugiwaras and maybe some other characters I like :)

Zoro Roronoa: Hogwarts AU
Tumblr media
Zoro Roronoa is a Half-Blood wizard that was born on the 11th of November 1977 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1989, being sorted into Hufflepuff house.
He has a Fir wand with a Dragon Heartstring Core.
His Patronus is a Tiger.
His favorite subject is Defense Against the Dark Arts and his least favorite is History of Magic.
He was the Keeper for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team from his fifth year onward.
Zoro usually maintains a very stern, serious, and distanced personality, but often loses his temper in a goofy and exaggerated comical style. It would seem however, that this anger is the only emotion that Zoro often feels comfortable showing. Outside of situations where he feels confident during duels or Quidditch matches, he tends to smile or laugh the least out of his friend group and rarely fools around with the rest of them and likes to distance himself more to sleep or train. In fact, his defeat at the hands of Dracule Mihawk and subsequent vow to Monkey D. Luffy is the only time since his friend Shimotsuki Kuina passed that Zoro has been seen crying by his loved ones.
Even in moments that are particularly tough on the group and would warrant sadness, Zoro chooses to maintain a quiet solemnity rather than outwardly express his emotions. He has been shown to believe to a degree that these emotions can hinder his judgement as a wizard: when Ohm asked him if he was out for revenge upon discovering Tony Chopper wounded and unconscious, he replied that he does not like to fight for reasons like that. Despite this assertion, though, he cares deeply for his friends and wishes to protect them at all costs, telling Ohm that in spite of his preference for fighting without a motivation he can feel one coming on.
Although Zoro cares for his friends, he can also come off as a very blunt and cold person, especially when he is trying to get his point across. During a Quidditch friendly, when Chopper was forced to join the opposite team after losing a bet, Chopper cried and complained, which prompted Zoro to yell at him and stating he was disgraceful. He reprimanded Chopper, reminding it was his choice to start playing Quidditch and compete in the match and told him to man up and have faith in their team to win him back. As with the ordeal when Usopp distanced himself from the group, Zoro refused to let him come back and even yelled at Nami to shut up when she tried to say otherwise. Zoro lectured the entire group reminding them Usopp was the one who picked the fight with Luffy and left of his own free will and they cannot let him come back unless he accepts responsibility for his actions and apologizes for his behavior. Zoro also often reminds others of the harsh facts, which often shocks some of the others, although they usually decide he is right in the end. This is especially true in regards to strangers, as Zoro rarely shows much trust in others. This was made apparent when Robin Nico started working at Hogwarts, and he was the only one to keep his guard up around her due to her being a former enemy. However, over time, he seems to have learned to place his trust in others more, as he agreed with the alliance with Law and believed Hiyori when she revealed her identity to him.
Zoro is also very perceptive, something he demonstrates by providing important and logical decisions at critical times and by evaluating the situation from an objective point of view, as he did by evaluating the best way to handle what seemed like Robin's betrayal. And later again when the group wanted to forgive Usopp after he challenged Luffy to a duel and lost, saying that they shouldn't pity Usopp. Zoro was the one who noted that Usopp was at fault for leaving the group of his own accord.
Like Robin, Zoro is also easily really sensitive when put into embarrassing situations to where he prefers to object vocally while usually blushing from embarrassment (though Robin usually ignores and lets go of these situations most of the time because of her patience), rather than respond violently like Nami or Sanji. Examples are when Zoro refused to do something stupid like address Franky as "Bro", or Franky's later joke technique "Pirates Docking 6: "Big Emperor" where after they disassembled, Zoro felt stupid for agreeing to do it in the first place. In his seventh year, Zoro was embarrassed when he had Wicca with him when traveling through Hogsmead, as trying to communicate with her made the people around them think Zoro was "talking to himself" since they couldn't see Wicca due to her small size (though it was revealed at the end of that year that Hogsmeade's citizens were secretly aware of the fairies' existence). Also, when Zoro was forced to help take care of children, he intended to make sure that his friends or any one at Hogwarts that knew him personally did not find out about this embarrassing situation, though later was found out by Robin. Zoro does have rare moments of responding violently in these situations, such as choking Chopper for mentioning to Luffy and Nami the embarrassing story of how Zoro got stuck in the chimney of a house which Luffy laughed about (though Luffy was also in a similar situation earlier).
He also seems to be partially irreverent, but not seriously so, simply choosing to focus more on his training and what is clearly in front of him than worry about spiritual matters as well as questions about its mysteries that he cannot truly answer.
While he is quite indifferent to the gender or/and age of his opponents, many of his adversaries (like Tashigi and Monet) seem to believe he does not take women seriously when in fact it is only because Tashigi reminded him too much of Kuina and that Monet was merely a distraction. When the latter tried to take advantage of this belief, he cut her down without hesitation, only refraining from killing her because she was too weak to even be considered a proper opponent. During his duel with Miss Monday, Zoro did not hesitate to crush her skull with his bare hands to knock her out. It should be noted that he does disagree to a certain extent about using excessive force against women. For example, when Robin was violently electrocuted by Enel, Zoro was extremely ferocious at him, reminding the man that his target is a woman.
Like Luffy, Zoro shows little interest or attraction to women. He was not enticed or won over by the beauty or charms of Nami or Robin when they joined, did not peep on the Prefects' bath when Nami and Vivi were bathing, nor does he show interest in overwhelming beauties such as the Shirahoshi or Hancock Boa. Zoro seems to rather focus on whatever task is at hand and his own training. Despite this, Zoro has acted flustered around some women, though not in romantic ways. During his childhood, Zoro was seen blushing when Kuina mentioned her figure was beginning to develop. When he first met Tashigi, he was visibly shocked by her strong resemblance to Kuina and whenever he encountered her, he would constantly try to run away unable to face her. This is no longer the case after graduating, as he lost his uncomfortable behavior around her and treated her coldly during their fight with Monet and was more irritated when she complained about him carrying her after she passed out. During his interactions with Hiyori Kozuki, Zoro was very startled to wake up seeing her sleeping on top of his chest and tried to explain to Brook that nothing happened, and more so when she playfully asked if he enjoyed it.
Though he rarely uses it, Zoro knows various phases of the traditional warrior's battle cry of "Sunacchi"; something that he recounts hearing and learning from Kozaburo Shimotzuki during his childhood. He's never used it personally however but has told Momonosuke about it to energize the latter in his magic training, saying that it would strengthen his heart when his courage falters.

Monster trio and their Hogwarts houses
Don't mind me, I'm just melting together my two current obsessions.
Tumblr media
For me, Luffy belongs to Gryffindor.
The first argument in his favour is his courage (bordering on stupidity) and the belief that everything will somehow turn out well, even if he throws himself headlong into every adventure. He is ambitious, but he works towards a goal without being interested in its material value or the status behind it. He wants to achieve the absolute freedom that One Piece brings, but would not throw his values overboard to do so, even if it meant not achieving his goal. Likewise, he is also interested in the adventure itself, the challenges he has to overcome. If these weren't there, One Piece would be of no interest to him, in my opinion. Luffy pursues his own moral concepts and implements them regardless of the consequences. Even if this often makes him a role model or hero in the eyes of others, he never does this in order to achieve this status and never out of a superordinate sense of justice. If something doesn't suit him personally, he changes it - good and evil play no role. He doesn't care about the opinions of others, but he likes to be the centre of attention (consciously or unconsciously) and attracts people to him with his bright manner, but they have to try to keep up with him if they don't want to go down.
Tumblr media
For me, Zoro belongs to Slytherin.
Above all others, he is ambitious and works purposefully to achieve what he wants. He can be quite ruthless and unemotional, always focussing on achieving his goal. In my opinion, like the other Straw Hats, he has a soft heart and a strong sense of justice, but I think he only allows both of these things, if they don't get in the way of his goals (the further the plot progresses, the clearer this becomes in my opinion). Zoro is not very interested in material possessions, but he is very interested in status and reputation. Morality only interests him to a limited extent and is often overlooked if it is not useful, so in my opinion he is somewhat cunning. Especially in the fight against Kaido and King, it became clear that he is not afraid to adapt his own character and his own values in order to become stronger or to defeat opponents. He has a code of honour that he abides by, but everything else seems negotiable. Slytherins are considered extremely loyal to their families/friends, something I don't think I need to go into with Zoro.
Tumblr media
Sanji belongs to Hufflepuff for me.
His whole personality is centred around helping others, in one form or another. He looks out for the good of the crew and fights to protect or do justice, never for himself. Even though his manner is often ridiculed, he is simply incredibly open and friendly, and very polite. He would sacrifice himself at any time if it would serve others. In my opinion, Sanji has the most objective and strongest sense of justice of the Straw Hats and is always on the side of the weak in order to support them. He is also the one who is most likely to forgive if he learns to understand the background. He would never compromise his own values (the fight against Queen is a prime example of this), even if it meant losing or not being able to achieve his goal. Furthermore, he also can't stand conflicts between his friends and tries to mediate, finding things like ego or pride difficult to understand.

My Hogwarts House sorting for the Strawhats (and why);
Monkey D. Luffy - Gryffindor, not because he is chivalrous, though he can be by accident, but because he jumps into danger head-first, always ready to brave the next obstacle.
Roronoa Zoro - Gryffindor, for he is chivalrous. And does enjoy getting into adventures.
Nami - Slytherin, hands down. She is a cunning pick-pocket. Even though, we've really only saw her pick-pocket once? She did steal the treasure from other pirate crews though before joining Luffy.
Ussop - Ravenclaw, because he was the resident shipwright of sorts until Franky, and an inventor -he made Nami's Clima-Tact.
Vinsmoke Sanji - Hufflepuff. He offers food to anyone who is hungry, no questions asked.
Tony Tony Chopper - Ravenclaw. He has an extensive medical knowledge, aiming to learn more about medicine.
Nico Robin - Ravenclaw. She is a treasure trove of knowledge on varried subjects, with a thirst to learn more.
Franky - Ravenclaw. Resident shipwright and inventor.
Brook - Hufflepuff. He is actually a very gentle character. Even though he's only a skeleton! Yohohoho!
Jinbei - Gryffindor, for he is chivalrous. He has that in common with Zoro, but he belongs in the more level-headed side of Gryffindors.
Honorable mentions;
Portagas D. Ace - Gryffindor. Fighting anyone and never backing down from them, even if they were stronger than him? Yep. He's a Gryffindor, alright.
Sabo - Ravenclaw. He is the more knowledgable of the three brothers.
Nefertari Vivi - Gryffindor. She was trying to take down Baroque Works practically on her own, from the inside. Which is the kind of stupid bravery you'd expect from a Gryffindor, really.
Yamato - Gryffindor. He is as bad as Luffy and Ace, come on!

Verse: Harry Potter
Kuina is a distant cousin of Zoro's in this verse.
One of Zoro's close friends from school is Summer Abbott (OC), a fellow Hufflepuff who decided he was too grumpy and unsociable for his own good.
Zoro's favorite class in school was Herbology since it wasn't a field of study that he was forced to specialize in due to his family background.
He is constantly getting lost in the castle and can often be found in random rooms long forgotten to time. It's to the point that even the ghosts know to lead him back to the Hufflepuff dorm if they find him wandering around.
Zoro carries the greatest sword ever made by his family, the Wado Ichimonji, and the two swords his parents carried before they were murdered. He is granted special permission by Dumbledore to carry his swords during his school years and is never without them as an Auror. His wand is also strapped to his side with his swords.
Zoro's goal is to become as legendary of an Auror as Mad-Eye Moody
The Goblet of Fire
Since he's a Hufflepuff, Zoro is close friends with Cedric and was spending the summer with him before his last school year. Attending the Quidditch World Cup with him and his father.
Due to his goal to become an Auror after graduation and not wanting to lose time that would normally be dedicated to training in his Dual-Wielding Technique, Zoro did not enter his name into the Goblet of Fire even though many of his classmates urged him to. He was happy for his friend and helped Cedric whenever he could to prepare for the challenges.
The Order of the Phoenix
It was Cedric's death that caused Zoro to join the Order of the Phoenix when he was approached by Dumbledore after his graduation. Infuriated by the fact that the ministry was turning a blind eye to the truth that was right before them.
As an Auror within the Order and a powerful combattant, Zoro is one of the wizards sent to get Harry after he and his cousin are attacked by Dementors.
Molly practically adopts Zoro as one of her own upon learning that he has no family left. Therefore, anytime he returns to Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place she insists on feeding him and ensuring he sleeps and baths. Therefore, he is also practically forced by Molly to join the Weasleys, Harry, and Sirius for Christmas.
Due to constantly coming and going from Grimmauld Place over the summer and having known them in school, Zoro becomes best friends with the Twins. He is also a secret investor in their business after they leave school and open their store.
The Half-Blood Prince
Zoro takes on shifts to guard the students on the day they return to school.

I Could be a Better Boyfriend than Her
Slytherin Reader x Hufflepuff Sanji (He/they) Warnings: A lil bit spicy, unwanted arranged relationship, cheating on said unwanted arranged relationship
Y/n was supposed to be a soft sub in this, but became a power bottom lol. It would seem I can't write sub reader with Sanji. Oh, well I'm damn good at writing sub reader with Robin and that counts for something.
Also this isn’t Pudding slander, just to make that clear. I don’t hate her. I just need her to be a jerk in this.
---
A warm breeze passed through and lightly ruffled his hair.
Sanji's eyes couldn't help but drift to him yet again. He'd lost count of how many times it happened that day, let alone that week.
There he was with that girl again. They seemed to be good friends. What was her name? "K" something? Oh well, not important right now. Y/n was his focus.
Y/n, the one he dreamed of sharing his life with. The one he imagined holding at late hours of the night. The one he daydreamed of during class. The one-
"How long do you plan to stare at, Y/n? Creep." Zoro said jabbing Sanji in the shoulder with his elbow.
"That's normal, Zoro." Luffy said thoughtlessly as he ate his fifth sandwich.
"Normal? That's even creepier. It's a shame I can't report you for creepiness, Swirly." Zoro grumbled leaning back against the tree they sat under.
"Shut up, you stupid garden disaster! I can't help it if their beauty enchants me! You wouldn't know beauty if it slapped you in the face!" Sanji yelled and threw a handful of grass at Zoro.
"I would too! And I wouldn't stare like a weirdo!" Zoro threw some grass right back him.
"If you like them so much, then why don't you tell them that?" Luffy asked interrupting the argument.
"Pudding..." Sanji sighed and released his grip on Zoro's hair.
Luffy paused his eating to think and the other two waited with baited breath. Were they about to hear some his rare words of wisdom?
"Well, I don't like her. Dump her." Luffy stated as though he'd said something brilliant.
Zoro and Sanji facepalmed hard enough to redden their faces and fell backward.
"It's not that simple, dumbass. Our families have a deal. Unless Y/n's family offers a better deal to arrange something between us It's not gonna happen." Sanji explained as his hand slowly slid off his face.
"That's not totally impossible, even for a useless dandelion like you. Y/n's family has plenty to offer." Zoro thought aloud uprooting a dandelion mindlessly.
"I- Yes, but that'd require him to be interested in me. I doubt his family would even consider it if he didn't bring up the idea himself and I don't think I'm lucky enough for him to be into someone like me. I doubt he even knows who I am." Sanji said in a sad tone, ignoring the insult sprinkled in, as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"How would you know? You didn't ask." Luffy said bluntly, another sandwich downed.
"I guess.." Sanji said reluctantly.
Not to far away another similar conversation was going on with the exact topic the boys spoke of.
Y/n turned away from a classmate for a moment to see Sanji yelling at Zoro and throwing grass at him.
"Y/n, I didn't know you were into blonds?" Kiyana said in a humorous tone wrapping an arm around them.
"Neither did I. And wipe off that silly smirk, someone's going to think we're scheming." Y/n laughed and shrugged her arm off.
"Maybe we should be scheming." Kiyana joked with a mischievous grin swaying back and forth on the balls of her feet.
"About what?" They asked tilting their head to the side.
"Getting you and blondie together. What was his name again? Hmm "S" something. Sabo?" Kiyana's thumb drifted to her lip in thought.
Y/n couldn't contain his laughter at how close and yet so far Kiyana's guess was.
Kiyana huffed and faked a scowl.
"Wrong blond and house too. Sabo is in Ravenclaw. It's Sanji and he's in Hufflepuff." He said trying to catch his breath.
"Alright alright, It's not that funny." She said trying not to smile and failing.
"How'd you get it so wrong? He's literally in the same house as you." Y/n wheezed leaning against Kiyana, wiping a tear from his eye.
Kiyana gave in and began to giggle too. She shoved him off and they both laughed even harder at the dramatic way he landed.
Sanji didn't notice Luffy steal some of his lunch. He was far too distracted by Y/n's adorable laugh.
He'd never heard such a beautiful sound.
---
Sanji waved to his classmate as they left the room and moved to gather his notes.
Potions came naturally to him. Maybe it was the similarity to cooking? Regardless, he never slacked off and took incredibly detailed notes with occasional messy illustrations.
He took a turn shortly after leaving the classroom and bumped into someone causing him to drop his notes.
He grabbed their hand and caught them as they began to fall backward.
Sanji steadied the both them and looked up to see Y/n's startled face.
"Are you alright? I'm so sorry, I didn't see you." Sanji asked as worriedly he looked all over him for any sign of injury.
"It's ok, I didn't see you either. I'm alright." Y/n said growing increasingly aware of how close they were.
"That's good." Sanji whispered loosening his grip on their hand.
The two stood frozen and enraptured for what felt like an hour, but it was merely ten seconds.
Their attention drifted to the papers strewn across the tile surrounding them.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Sanji. I made you drop your notes" They said reluctantly sliding their hand from his to crouch down and gather some of the notes.
"You don't need to do that, Y/n!" He yelped snapping out of the trance and quickly dropped to grab the remaining notes.
Their fingers grazed causing Sanji to hesitate.
"SANJI! GET OVER HERE AND CARRY THIS FOR ME!" A shill voice echoed from the end of the hallway.
Pudding.
They stood up and Y/n hurriedly handed him the notes.
"Thank you!" Sanji shouted glancing back as he ran toward Pudding.
"No problem!" They yelled watching as Pudding grabbed his arm roughly dragging him away.
Damn that woman, They missed the chance to ask him about the dance.
---
There they stood in the corner of the room watching Kiyana dance with Luffy in a silly manner.
Luffy had agreed to go with Kiyana last minute and Y/n expected Sanji to be with Pudding. So that crossed out the two people they considered asking to go with them.
Their moping was interrupted by Sanji entering alone.
Wait where's Pudding?
He paused, looked about the room, and approached them with a smile when he noticed them.
"Y/n? I didn't expect to see you all alone in the corner. Don't tell me your date left you?" Sanji said hoping he'd get lucky.
"Don't have one. What about you? Where's Pudding?" Y/n asked in wonder knowing how much Pudding loved to show off how useful Sanji could be at every event.
"She didn't like the color theme this time. So it's just me." He laughed. Gods, he never expected to get this lucky.
"Well, if that's the case. Would you care to dance?" Y/n offered, glancing between him and the dance floor.
"I- Yes, I would love to." He said smiling brightly. He'd gotten more than lucky.
---
Round and round they danced and settled into a sweet romantic sway before deciding to wander off elsewhere.
"Are you sure we should be in here?" Sanji asked warily looking around the dark classroom.
"No, but if no one else is using the room, then why can't we?" Y/n said with an impish smile as he locked the door and placed a spell upon it for extra measure.
"What if we get caught?"
"We won't. I've made sure of that." Y/n said leading him to a desk by the pull of his tie.
They sat on the desk and made one stronger tug causing his arms to cage them in from both sides as he attempted to catch himself.
"But-"
"Shut up and kiss me." They demanded with a pout and looked up at him with doe eyes.
There wasn't a need to say it twice, he'd yearned far to long for this.
His hands slid to Sanji's waist and Sanji's to Y/n's hair as they kissed over and over again seemingly starved.
"Break up with her." He whispered as his hands gripped sanji's clothes pulling him closer.
"O-Our families have a deal." He whined as Y/n's teeth grazed his neck.
"Mine can make a better deal." He said as his leg slid between Sanji's legs causing him to whimper.
"Please D-DO!" He was startled mid sentence when they grabbed his tie and laid down on the desk taking him down with them.
"Consider it done."

Fic Recs (mostly Naruto cause I read too many good fics in the fandom and now I'm in hell)
[Naruto]
Spirit-Touched by phooykazooi
Once upon a time, the Haruno clan were priests. It was said that they were spirit-touched, and that they walked among the downtrodden and the poor, and did not bow to royalty.
Or, an AU in which Sakura can see spirits.
Part 1 of The Realms Between
(Really, and I mean REALLY fantastic Shikamaru & Sakura friendship! Fantastic, beautiful writing, and such good worldbuilding, god, and the Haruno family is so badass!! Sakura and everything she does makes me want to scream!! Please read!)
Final Evaluation by Do_the_Cool_Whip
Progress evaluations are one-on-one consultation meetings between academy students and their teacher. Their purpose is to inform academy students of their strengths and weaknesses and guide them down their ideal path to becoming a strong shinobi. Upon graduating the academy and passing their jounin-sensei test, new genin return to the academy for one final consultation. (Or: The story of what happens when Umino Iruka uses his final meetings with his students as way to send them off to become the best shinobi they can possibly be.)
(Iruka! Is! The! Best! Teacher! Ever! End of story!!! Great interpretation of all the characters and their capabilities and I am so so excited for the sequel that will undoubtedly come! XD)
Celestial Bodies by Oceanbreeze7
Sasuke looked at the fire, eyes glowing red as the mutated corrupted seal on his throat. "Amaterasu blessed me. I see things. Like you with two normal eyes and the Hokage. And Sakura with a seal on her forehead. And I run Chidori through Naruto's heart. I keep trying to kill him. Over and over. And that knuckleheaded idiot never gives up.”
(Don't you get it? I saw it. The moon will bleed, the nations will die. The world is going to end.)
Part 1 of Celestial Bodies and Anomalies
(I swear, this fic freaking elevated my expectations on Sasuke-centric fics in general holy hell. Also, read the fucking sequel after this cause EVERYTHING GOES NUTS AND THE PLOT GOES OFF AND I'M HERE FOR THIS SHIT. Fucking Uchihas man. Also, you wouldn't think this series is funny, but it is, and it's amazing.)
A step to the left (and right off the cliff) by weavingBlue
Team Seven starts off on a different foot and Sasuke's canonical journey to get stronger goes off the rails a bit. It all works out though. Probably.
(This fic went in a direction I didn't expect and it's GLORIOUS. SO FUNNY, I honestly was dying while I was reading this. Please give this a chance!!)
promises by BombsAreForBabies
It's her first kiss and Naruto's last. She promises him that she will bring Sasuke home. It's his dying wish, after all.
(Naruto bleeds out faster than the kyuubi can heal him.
Sakura learns that being a ninja is more than fancy jutsu and fun.
Sasuke does not know that he just killed his best friend and turned his most loyal comrade into his worst enemy.)
(Listen LISTEN I know this sounds depressing but the relationship developments and slow healing is EVERYTHING and I think it's absolutely worth it to read this. Sakura's characterization is so good and Kakashi makes me want to hug him. A lot.)
Fang Under Fang by Vroomian
"Are we sure he's really an Inuzuka?"
(The answer is no.)
-
Someone reborn as Inuzuka Kiba not only has to deal with bullshit ninja magic, but soulmates being A Thing.
(Really good self-insert fic and its platonic soulmates, not romantic! I am always here for a good Kiba-centric fic and I won't say who the soulmate is. It's unexpected but so, so good! Trust me!)
Haunt The Lonely by Tht0neGal666
(Series where Sakura can see ghosts and the Things she gets up to due to this ability. The fics are short but man, you can already see the shifting differences in Team 7's dynamics, it's great!)
Perception by Ellie_Enchanted
Naruto can sense auras, which throws everything off it's balance. Because really, with someone as open as Naruto running around and peering into the depths of people's souls, something is bound to change. In other words, sometimes all that's needed is a push. Also, Sasuke apparently glows.
(Naruto the empath changing the plot and making it Better and I am loving it!)
Crossfire by DejaVu22
Following the events of Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke never makes it to Orochimaru's hideout. Instead, he is waylaid by a one-eyed man named Tobi, a man possessing a Sharingan, a terrifying dual personality, a penchant for always being late, and a single-minded mission to stop the Akatsuki in their tracks. When Sasuke runs into Naruto again years later, he must ally with his old teammate in order to protect him from the Akatsuki, while keeping him out of the two man war Tobi and Sasuke have started against the dangerous organization.
(I honest to god can't stop cackling when I read this, the Sasuke & Obito dynamic is so freaking chaotic and Sasuke's characterization is the best thing I've ever read. This boi is a mEsS and I'm fucking rooting for him. He cares so much! There's secret identity shenanigans happening on sasuke's end and it's HILARIOUS! This is the duo I never thought I needed but here it is! *cackles insanely*)

[Diamond no Ace]
Echo in His Hands by SportRayne (rayningnight)
Ship: Miyuki/Sawamura
What does it mean, when you remember snapshots of your own future?
Is it your future at all, if you change it?
Would you even want to change it?
(Look I am WEAK for BAMF Eijun and time travel fics and Miyuki being a tanuki bastard, okay? Time travel fic where Eijun gets feelings of people he knew before in the future. Really good so far and am so excited over this fic!)
The path we walk by WindsOfTime
Ship: Miyuki/Sawamura
Eijun goggles at the magazine she just shoved into his hands. "W-Wakana!" "I know!" she says, beaming. "That's my soulmate!!" "I know!!" "My soulmate plays baseball!!"
(Became such an instant fave so fast it's unbelievable. I LOVE THESE IDIOTS SO MUCH! Best soulmate fic in this fandom, hands down!)
-
[One Piece]
switching places by fireflywitch
Zoro is 21 and wakes up in a desert they already saved, on a ship that they burned two years ago, and standing next to a man who is supposed to be dead. Except, that can’t be right, can it?
Zoro is 19 and wakes up on a ship that’s too big, next to a robot wearing a swimsuit, and he’s supposed to fight something called a Kaido. Also, he’s missing an eye, and no one’s even a little worried about it?
(or)
Time travel is a shitshow, and Zoro didn't sign up for this.
(FUCKING HILARIOUS ZORO IS THE BEST PERSON TO SEND BACK IN TIME CAUSE HE'D BE TERRIBLE YET FANTASTIC AT IT I CAN'T MAN FIEWNOPFEW)
No Time To Crank The Sun by VIKAN
He’s surrounded by strangers, but they’re all trying to convince him otherwise. Or, Zoro faces a mysterious and relentless challenge that he just can’t wrap his head around.
(This ripped my heart open, I cried reading this my god. Please read this, the pain is so worth it and Zoro and his relationship with his crew is so good here. This reminded me why I love the Straw Hats so much!)
-
[Fairy Tail]
to learn about a lucy (with a look into the future.) by るる凪 - nagi (arurun)
A watching the future fanfic.
It's currently X781, three years before canon. A group of Fairy Tail mages find themselves in a large building, with no known way out.
They sit down, and they watch the future.
(This is so much more fun than I thought it would be and I'm so happy I found this fic. This fic reignited my old love for this fandom and I hope it does for you too!)
-
[Harry Potter]
sunflowers by Marnie27
One day, a young girl sits on the edge of a well. On this day, she falls in. Then the next, she’s not even a ‘she’ anymore. He’s Peter Pettigrew — doomed to die at the hands of his (betrayed) friend’s son.
Peter is selfish, bitter and brash. He’s not some fairy tale hero, he doesn’t care if everyone around him dies, as long as he lives. The marauders are annoying and childish. Survival is his priority, and he can’t afford to face distractions.
This just makes the fact that soulmates are now apparently a thing all the more godawful.
(And then another day years later he falls into an entirely new impossibility, Remus Lupin in tow, right into the third book of Harry Potter. Smack bang on the other Peter Pettigrew’s grave).
It’s confusing and graceless, and entirely something that would happen to him of all people.
(Self-insert fic where a girl reincarnates into Peter Pettigrew! And there are soulmates! And it's angsty and hilarious and Peter is an Asshole (somewhat unintentionally lol). Always a fan of biased pov fics and characters slowly improving themselves and their mental health! Cause dying! Is! Traumatic! *smiley face* Please read!)
-
[Crossovers]
he's a killer queen, sunflower, guillotine by hoye
Fandoms: Fullmetal Alchemist, Harry Potter
He has to be the weirdest Hufflepuff Harry’s ever seen. Scratch that, he’s the weirdest Hufflepuff Hogwarts has ever seen.
(One thing everyone could agree on: NEVER call Edward Elric short.)
(This is peak Edward Elric and all the best things about him and I'm just having a Good Time. Friendships! Logical solutions! Marauder screentime! And so much More! *bright grin* It's a fun place here!)

Ugh I really want to write a one piece Hogwarts AU (yeah I started playing Hogwarts mystery my life is forfeit)
- All of the Heart pirates are in Ravenclaw except Trafalgar who ends up in... Slytherin. (All that ambition and cunning)
- In Slytherin with all the Kid pirates... except Eustass who is somehow in... Griffindor. (He’s still mad about it, he’s that one Griffindor that’s always in the Slytherin common room and no one even cares anymore)
- In Griffindor with Luffy, Franky, and somehow, Usopp.
- Robin and Chopper ended up in Ravenclaw, Brook and Sanji ended up in Hufflepuff, and Nami and Zoro ended up in Slytherin.
- The Sorting Hat had a bit of trouble with Zoro because his brain is pretty empty of anything beyond “BECOME THE WORLD’S GREATEST DUELER” and food. Despite his complete lack of cunning, his overbearing AMBITION landed him in Slytherin where the rest of his housemates just, don’t understand him. He’s the most dense Slytherin to ever Slyther.
- Luffy is determined to become the KING OF QUIDDITCH (it doesn’t work that way). And he has the most eclectic group of friends from every house. It’s great.
- Sanji is gifted in potions, Nami is great at arithmancy, Robin is a History of Magic buff, Franky excels at charms, and Usopp is obsessed with Muggle technology and also has a way with herbology. Brook is a talented musician and Chopper is great with magical creatures and is so gifted at healing spells that he’s apprenticing in the medical wing.
- Along with Trafalgar law, who always seems to be patching up Eustass Kid when he gets into fights or falls off his broom.
- Sanji is part Veela and comes from a prestigious line of Veela but never talks about it. The rest of his family go to Beauxbaton.

Descended from an ancient wizarding family in Japan, Zoro's magical upbringing was vastly different from many others. His family, who had long defended Japan and the world as Auror's in the past, had evolved into one of the most powerful families in the nation. However, due to their profession and lethal skills in combat, few remain.
It was due to this legacy and the magical fighting style they created that they were hunted nearly to extinction during Voldemort's reign before he fell to the boy who lived.
For the Roronoa family had developed a secret method of forging magical swords that could act like wands. Fusing the various metals used with ingredients typically found in a wand to create a weapon of superior strength and magic. With the creation of these swords, his family also developed secret spells specifically designed for fighting with the swords. These two combined factors made them lethal in magical battles since the swords enhanced combat and defense magic significantly.
Thus, Zoro was raised in a strict household. His childhood, as the sole remaining heir to this technic, was dedicated entirely to studying and mastering the art known to the rest of the world as Duel-Weilding. The ancient warriors and Auror's of his family always fought with a wand in one hand and a sword in the other.
At the age of 11, having mastered his family's magic and claimed to be a prodigy in the art of Duel-Weilding, he was sent to Hogwarts to complete his traditional magical learning. It was soon after this that a death eater who had long evaded the authorities murdered the rest of his family in an attempt to steal their secret magic. In the massacre, his best friend, Kuina, who was to join him at Hogwarts the following year, was killed.
And so, the legacy that he'd been raised to carry took on a new purpose. For as children do, he and Kuina had vowed to become the greatest Auror's of their time and restore their family's name amongst the wizarding world. Tainted during Voldemort's reign by one of their own joining his Death Eaters.

Upon the rebirth of Voldemort and due to his exceptional N.E.W.T.S. scores and extreme combat abilities, Zoro is recruited as an Auror right after his graduation at the age of 17, following the end of the Triwizard Tournament. Upon Dumbledore's request, Zoro joins the Order of the Phoenix in secret and within just one year is known throughout the ministry as a talented Auror. This growing reputation at just the age of 18 earns him notice by the Death Eaters and puts a target on his back as one of the top Auror's to take down in the coming war.

At the age of 20 and with the end of the war, Zoro is one of the last of the highly skilled Auror's left. Voldemort had put high bounties on the known talents within the division during the initial months of the war to weaken the ministry. Meaning that their numbers are greatly depleted while dealing with the aftermath of the war and rounding up the Death Eater's that escaped.

In this AU Voldemort isn't defeated by Harry in the battle for Hogwarts. The war continues for several more years, during which time Zoro becomes known as one of the greatest threats to the Death Eaters while continuing to work with the Order of the Phoenix.
