Self-Promote Saturday

Old fics can still be fun, so to keep the fandom ecosystem alive, I’m promoting one of my own today. This week’s self-promote Saturday fic is: Home of the sky take me to the home of my youth (15k)

What if Hiccup left after he saw the red death instead of staying to show how the dragons can be. This story takes place six years after he left when he has to return to investigate rumours about a rise in raids. He comes face to face with too familiar faces and pains from the past.

This fic is very dear to me, because at the time it was the longest thing I had ever written and it was the first time I did chapters or a bigger plot, so I was so proud of it. It's also just a fun trope; Hiccup coming back scorned, but needing help. And I love it when characters don't realize it's this person, who has returned and talk about themselves to them. So, having Hiccup in disguise while Stoick was mourning him was really interesting to explore :D

Tell me everything about the HTTTYD time travel au

Okay, so I did this a few years ago. It was actually my second fic to ever write. I deleted it because I didn't have any idea where to go with it.

This fic starts on episode one of Riders Of Berk, it makes my life easier. Hiccup, Toothless and five others are sent to their past bodies after death, it'll be discovered how and why later on.

It'll go all the way to HTTYD 3 because why not.

Happy 10th Anniversary for HTTYD!

Words are not enough to describe how much this franchise means to me. It’s crazy to think that the first movie was released exactly 10 years ago. At a point it kind of makes me sad to think that so much time has already passed. I remember becoming a fan in 2012 when Riders of Berk was released. Ever since those days HTTYD had become a big part of my life. It makes me happy. Sometimes it still hurts to think that we’ll probably never get any new movies or TV shows etc. or that one day the fandom might be dead. But while so many people in this fandom are still active I just want to leave this here. 

So thank you, HTTYD, for everything and happy birthday to the movie that started it all.

I watched the httyd homecoming and

Ok but when toothless pulled off the whole lightning and camouflaging thing I gasped like? I immediately had to think of skrills! Like they're noth strike class right? So thus got me thinking if maybe there's even more dragons that can potentially do that? Also the light fury isn't shown channelling lightning, so what can't they do that? Also the way that the new dragons could also spit acid like changewings just aaaaah! I just really love how they showed us that different dragons can still share the same abilities

To the HttyD movie fans, Please do not blame the story! I know, tomorrow is the new trailer. And I'm afraid. But we must remember, why there are no more dragons outside. And I know some of you guys hate the design of the light fury, but we must still believe that DreamWorks, Dean DeBlois.

According to my friend's son, if they do things "right" she will be a Light Fury...

unpopular opinion but I don’t really mind the white dragon in the next HTTYD movie because that means that Toothless is not, in fact, the last of his kind as Valkia suggested in HTTYD 2

look the idea of Toothless being an endling is just Really Sad to me so this new bit of canon has made me a lot happier. don’t judge me.
