The house felt different without the god inside. Your gut had been right the first night, he had been here the whole time.

You still regretted returning Hypnos his cloak, it was the only thing keeping you warm in the drafty house. 

You debated trying to escape but you held off. Where would you even go? There was no one else who could help. Even if Hypnos was keeping you trapped, he could be the key to getting your dad back.

Your heart stopped when you bumped into a warm chest. His arms wrapped around you tightly and his cheek pressed to your head.

"It's time to come home, Y/N." Hypnos said, tightening his hold to the point you couldn't breathe. Or scream as you watched the world you once knew vanished.

You kicked and twisted in Hypnos' arms. "Let me go." You gasped, "I can't get air, please." 

He loosened his hold but you were too busy gulping for air to care. You pushed away from and he allowed you to, unconcerned about you escaping. 

You tried to steady yourself only to stumble, Hypnos grabbed your elbow. 

"I'm sorry I forgot it takes some getting used to." Hypnos said. "You should have seen my brother the first few times. He used to get sick all the time."

"Don't touch me." You snapped, jerking away.  You've been here before, the sound of water rushed to your ears. You turned to face him, to tear him a new one but when you saw him, you were shocked into silence.

Hypnos smiled, and pointed at his head. Two white wings had appeared out from his head and in the middle of his forehead, a single red and gold eye stared back. "So tell me Y/N, what is more surprising; the wings or the eye?"

You shook your head, "What the hell, Hypnos?" Your voice cracked. "Is this what you normally look like?" At least before he looked closer to humans, just a little odd looking. This was something else.

"Hhm, not when we first met but after the... you know, I just have these sometimes." Hypnos shrugged, his golden eyes on you. 

"How could you?" You asked and Hypnos tilted his head at the question. 

You took a step forward even though all you wanted to do was run. "I know what you did to my dad, to (Ex/N). Was it all a ruse? A game to you?"

Hypnos scowled, "I really don't appreciate hearing that name." 

You stamped your foot, "Unbelievable! Is that all you have to say?" 

"Oh no, the person who hurt someone I love is now having to suffer the consequences. How sad for them." Hypnos rolled his eyes at you. You have never wanted to choke someone more.

"His mother is suffering, just like how my dad is!" You yelled, hating how helpless you felt.

You walked closer, you knew he could grab you again but you needed him to listen. But Hypnos spoke before you.

"Your father isn't in pain, if anything I fixed it. He doesn't remember you or his wife. He will live out the rest of his days without you but you know humans are so quick to replace family." 

Hypnos sighed, "I really did try to help him for your sake, Y/N. I felt sorry for him since he and I were both familiar with this kind of pain. But he already messed up once, I couldn't trust him not to try something else." 

You were silent for minutes before you spoke. "You said you would never hurt me."

"And I haven't." Hypnos replied, he almost moved closer, wanting to comfort you.

"Liar." You spat out the word. "You have done nothing but hurt me since you showed up." 

You glared at him,"You may have not touched me but you had caused so much hurt to everyone around me."

"And what makes you think I should even care about those humans?" Hypnos hissed, he grabbed your arm but you willingly went along with his tug. Words were your weapons now. You glared up at him, mere inches between you and him.

"Because I do. That should be more than enough for you." You licked your lips, "This isn't the first time we had this fight." 

His gaze sharpen, golden and hard like a predator. "No it isn't." Hypnos agreed. 

You could tell he wanted to ask more questions, to know exactly what you started to remember. Good. 

"I had held my part, Hypnos. I agreed to come, to do whatever you needed from me." You said, "in a twisted way, yeah I guess you did help my dad even if it hurt me. And you warned me."  You closed your eyes for a moment before meeting his again.

Hypnos stayed silent, his eyes watching you.

"But none of the other stuff had to happen. Mrs.Johnson was good to me, she was the closest thing I had to a mom." You whispered. 

You didn't know how but something in the humming inside of you knew Hypnos would bend to you. His biggest weakness had always been you.

You laid a hand on his chest, "Listen to me, I'm willing to stay. I want to stay." You thought it would sound like lying but it didn't. Your heart twisted because you weren't lying and you knew it.

"But I can't have you hurting people just for the sake of revenge. That is not who I am and that used to be you too." You murmured.

"Things changed Y/N." Hypnos murmured back. Just like before, he covered your hand gently. 

A faint memory rises from the depths of your soul. Of Hypnos admiring your hands, always touching or holding them. You took a breath, not yet you thought to this other side of yourself, not yet.

"Then change again, Hypnos. For me." You pleaded. 

"It's not that easy." But his tone was softer, you just had to push a little more. 

"You once put the whole world asleep because you loved me. You became softer, kinder because you loved me. This is nothing to you." You keep your tone soft, not willing to break the quiet.

His eyes, all three of them, closed in defeat. "Okay...Okay Y/N. Just answer me this, do you love them?" 

"No." You said bluntly. "They were a friend once but even though you were a jerk, I felt more with you than I ever did with them."

Hypnos nodded, the third eye opened again while his golden ones stayed close. "Good." He held a palm up, and a small dark, almost black mist formed, you could faintly see your ex and Mrs. Johnson. 

The mist swirls quickly, and it changes into a soft white cloud. "It's done. They will wake up, and they will live." The cloud faded away and Hypnos dropped his hand. 

His golden eyes opened and looked at you. 

"Thank you."  You told him. You cupped his cheek and he pressed into your hand with a sigh, his eyes closing again. "Darkness' sake, I've missed you." Hypnos said. 

You leaned into him and hugged him. After a moment, he hugged back, resting his chin on your head. Neither one of you said anything for a while, just holding on each other.

"What do you remember, Y/N?" Hypnos asked, and you shrugged. "Honestly, just small bits here and there. I remembered you like honey."

Hypnos hummed, "I do. Is that all?" 

You yawned, "No, sorry, it's mostly just me going by instinct or this feeling of deja Vu." You pressed into his chest. "I'm really sorry."

Hypnos rubbed your back slowly and you felt your body relax against his. This was so much nicer than anything you ever felt before.

"Come, let me show you where we can get some rest." Hypnos spoke, something was off about his tone.  But you followed along anyway, too tired to even think.

"You said anything, right?" Hypnos asked as you wandered around the cave. There wasn't much of anything. You see baskets of pomegranates, onions and other stuff in one room as Hypnos gilded you past it, his hand on your lower back. 

Books were stacked on a desk but weren't what caught your attention. There was a bed, big and piled high with blankets and pillows. It looks like what exactly a god of sleep would want. 

"Oh wow, this is the biggest bed I've ever seen." You walked toward it, "What side do you sleep on?"

You walked around the bed, keeping one eye on the god. "The middle but you can pick whatever side you want." 

"O-oh." You stopped at the realization that of course this would be the only bed. There would be no reason for him to have a guest bed.

"You didn't respond to my question, Y/N. You agreed to do whatever I needed you to do, correct?" Hypnos said calmly as he held something in his hand. A small glass bottle. 

You walked toward him, your heart racing at the almost predatory look he gave you. 

"I. I did, yes, to get my memories back." You stopped just out of his reach. "Will that thing help?" You pointed down at the bottle

"In a way." He said and you stared at him. 

"What are you not telling me, Hypnos?" You stood your ground. "I thought we were getting past this."

"You're right. It's going to hurt, just a bit. But it will help restore you." Hypnos held it up between his fingers, inside the liquid looked like water. 

"Why do I feel like you're downplaying it?" You muttered. You took the bottle and popped open the cork. 

You sniffed but it smells sweet, almost too sweet. 

"Make sure you get every last drop, Y/N." Hypnos said, his golden eyes watching your every move.

You knew he wasn't being honest about something but you will have to deal with it later. 

"Well, bottom up." You swallow every last drop. It didn't taste bad or anything at all, not even like water. 

You felt his hands on you could do anything else. He pushed toward the bed and that when it hit you. A wave of dizziness made the room spend and he laid you down.

"Oh, I don't like this." You moaned. You didn't notice until it was too late, that he had pulled off your shirt. His hands felt too warm against your skin and you tried to push him off. 

"I know, my love." Hypnos comforted, "I wouldn't do it if I didn't need to." 

"Why?" You slurred, "I thought we were…" but you couldn't continue.  The heat and the dizziness was too much for you.

"We are. We really are. But If I don't do this now, I won't get a chance until you are older and I can't risk you dying on me."

"Hypnos, please." You begged. Your fingers curled against his tunic, trying to ground yourself against the feelings.

He shushed you, "I've been waiting for you for so long." 

"I'm sorry, Hypnos." You whimpered as pleasure built back inside of you. 

"Don't be." Hypnos groaned, his hips started moving quicker. "Losing you killed me, Y/N. I never thought I would have this again."

You were lost for words and just pulled him into another kiss, hoping that it will say everything for you.

You reached up and touched one of the wings. It twitched at your touch, and you smiled, amused. 

"I missed your smile." Hypnos said, his voice rough with sleep."I think it worked, Y/N." His golden eyes studied your face. You stared back. 

Then you reached up and flicked him on the nose. "You should've been honest from the start." You said.

"Ow! And I was, it's not like it was my fault humans won't listen." Hypnos scowled at you.

"Not that. About restoring me. I understand why you wouldn't be but you need to more honest with me from now on. Especially since I know it cost you some of your powers." You said as you pulled Hypnos closer. Tears had filled up in both of yours and Hypnos' eyes.

"Thank you. For bring me back. I felt something was missing in me since I was born but you found it. You found me." You  kissed him, chaste and sweet. 

Hypnos sobbed and held on to you tightly, his face in your neck. "It worked. It really worked." 

You kissed his head, your tears matching his. The both of you weeped with joy, with sadness and relief of having each other again.

"I'm so sorry. It was my fault. I should had gotten there sooner." Hypnos said roughly. 

"It was no one fault, we didn't know." You brush his curls to smooth him. "I don't blame you."

He nodded against your neck and you held him. 

After a few minutes, he pulled away to look at you. His hands cupped your face. You cover his hands with your own, smiling.

"I still haven't told you everything." He said softly. 

"That can wait." You murmured. "We got all the time in the world." 

"We finally do, huh?" Hypnos said, and you meet him a long, slow kiss.

It was good to be home.

“Babe…” You quirked an eyebrow as you stuck your head around the door, peering into the room when your boyfriend didn’t respond to your call for the umpteenth time. “Hello, Earth to Bakugou.” You called as you crossed the room to where he sat upon the couch, his head hanging in his hands as he sat there in silence. It was unusual for him not to respond to you when you were standing so close to him, he was the Hero known for his sharp reflexes. You knew there was one thing you could do that was guaranteed to grab his attention for sure. “GROUND ZERO!”

Katsuki jolted back to reality, harshly ripped from his deep thoughts by the sound of your voice calling to him. He shot up off the couch in the same instance and whipped around to face you, his eyes locking with yours as they blew wide and filled with alarm. His heart was thundering in his chest as he stared over at you, his hands stretched wide at his sides as he stood ready to fight and little crackles were tingling over the expanse of his palms. His eyes shot away from you, quickly doing a sweep of the room and scanning for a threat before realising there was no one else in the room besides you.

“(Name)…” His voice was barely audible as he spoke your name in a breathless whisper, his eyebrows pulling together out of confusion and frustration as he roughed a hand through his hair. “Babe, what the hell were you thinking?”

“I made tea for you but you weren’t responding to me. I called you several times Katsuki, you seemed to be lost in thought.” You responded as you held up the tray with two piping cups of tea on it, for him to see.

Katsuki flicked his vermillion eyes down to the tray you were holding in your hands, a heavy sigh leaving his lips as he shook his head and turned away from you. He rubbed a hand over his face as he waited for his heart to stop trying to jump out of his chest via his throat. He wasn’t used to being called by his Hero name outside of work, it was something that screamed danger to him whenever it was called out in such a manner. Katsuki rolled his shoulders before dropping back down on the couch, sinking down before patting the spot next to him and turning his head to catch your eyes over the top of the couch.

“Get your damn arse over here woman!” He grumbled as a crooked smile graced his features.

You never were one to argue with the wishes of your boyfriend, after all there usually wasn’t a need for you to argue with anything that he asked of you. “Look at you being all worried over here by yourself…” You teased as you walked around the couch and placed the tray down on the coffee table before sitting on the couch next to him. You tucked yourself into the corner of the couch before motioning for him to move over to your lap so you could give him a massage.

Katsuki grumbled as he shuffled along the couch, sitting in front of you before leaning back against your legs so you’d be able to reach his shoulders properly. You moved your hands up along his shoulders, rubbing and pressing against the spots where you knew he would usually build tension throughout the day. He seemed to be extra tense today though, the muscles throughout his back were all bunched up and his shoulders were hunched up as though he were ready for a war; your shout just now probably was partly to blame for that.

“Are you ok?” You whispered softly as you leaned forwards, moving a hand to cord your fingers through his hair tenderly.

“M’fine… Don’t need your arse worrying over me, damn it!” He grumbled before sitting up, turning to face you before catching your wrist in his much larger hand and pulling it in close to his chest. He sat back against the couch and pulled you in close to his side, allowing you to snuggle in close to his warmth. “I’m the one who does the worrying here, got that (Name)? Don’t you dare go worrying about anyone but your damn self!” Despite his words, you knew he was well aware that you worried about him every time he was called out into active duty.

You giggled as you gently pressed your head into the side of his ribcage, watching as his fingers traced small patterns over the back of your hand. It wasn’t often that you got to see this side of Katsuki, it usually only happened when he had a stressful day at the Agency or something didn’t quite go right while on duty. The rest of the world saw your boyfriend as a brash, impulsive Hero who had the persona more befitting of a Villain. Katsuki had learned to ignore those comments, striving instead to prove those people wrong and making you proud when he saved lives.

“Urgh, I keep forgetting this ugly little thing is still here!”

You blinked as you felt pressure against your right wrist and your eyes instantly flicked down to where his thumb was pressed into your skin. “Hey, no! You do not get to pick on my little flower.” You pouted as Katsuki’s thumb rubbed over the flower that adorned your wrist. “It’s a part of me Katsuki Bakugou and you will accept it.”

“Not likely, this little thing isn’t nearly beautiful enough to represent you. How the fuck could you settle for something so simple and plain looking; it’s gross.” He growled as he turned your hand over, hiding the flower against his stomach as he looked down into your eyes. “I hate it and you know that.”

It was true that you were well aware of Katsuki’s unfound dislike for the small flower but every time you asked him to explain his reason, he would shut down and tell you not to worry about it. “Well, too late. It’s already on my skin and it’s not going anywhere any time soon.” You declared as a small smile pulled at the edges of your lips.

“LIKE FUCK!” You squealed as Katsuki tipped you sideways on the couch and moved over you, his face mere inches from your own as a wildly wicked grin stretched over his face. “I’ll erase that fucker from your mind, I’ll make you forget everything about him and that includes this little piece of shit you call a damn flower.”

“Is someone a little jealous?” You teased as you looked up into his eyes and tilted your head to the side.

“Of that asshole? Like fuck that would ever happen!” He scoffed before moving and sitting back on the couch, grabbing his tea before sipping at it. “One of these days, I’ll fix that damn thing. Mark my words (Name)!” Katsuki was well aware of what the stupid flower on your wrist meant, the fact your ex gave it to you just served to piss him off even more. As vibrantly coloured as the Petunia was, he doubted you knew what it was or the meaning behind it.

“If you say so, Gremlin.” You whispered as you sat up and looked over at him in bewilderment.

“So…”

“Bakugou, are you going to tell me where we’re going yet?” You whined as you flicked your eyes down to where your hand was encompassed by his larger one.

“(Name)… why don’t you go ahead and say my name just a little louder, huh?” Katsuki shot back at you as he looked over his shoulder.

You felt sorry for your boyfriend, he was constantly having to hide his face when he was out in public. As much as Katsuki liked being a Hero to the people of this city, he didn’t like the constant attention that came with it; especially when he was trying to spend time with you. There had been quite a few times you had dragged him away from people crowding him before they were pushing him beyond his limited point of patience.

“Sorry babe, where are you taking me though?” You questioned as you pulled on his hand, coming to a halt as you refused to walk any further and looked up into his eyes.

Katsuki sighed heavily in annoyance as he turned to face you fully, leaning in close to your face as his eyes locked with yours. “Right here.” His words caused confusion to flood your system as you whipped your head around rapidly.

“What? You dragged me out of the house in this cold ass weather to take me to the sidewalk in the middle of nowhere?” You frowned as you turned back to look at him, your eyes blowing wide as you caught sight of him pulling the mask down off his face and jabbed a thumb over his shoulder.

“No idiot. You think I’d do that to myself?” He growled before grabbing a hold of your hand again and pulling you with him as he pushed open the door behind him. “You know, I hate the fucking cold; I can deal with it for this though.”

“Wait babe, what shop are you trying to pull me into?” You whined as you tried to read the name hanging over the door, failing as you were pulled into the warmth coming from inside the shop. “Also, put your damn mask back on. I am not pulling you away from any groupies that want to swamp you!” You huffed before pulling your arm free and crossing your arms over your chest.

“Tch…” Katsuki shook his head before motioning around you to the inner workings of the shop he had taken you to. “Take a really good look, (Name). I think you should be more than capable of working out why the fuck I’d drag you here!” His eyes narrowed in annoyance before flicking down to where your arms were crossed over your chest.

You blinked rapidly before turning on the spot to take in what was going on inside the shop. Your eyes popped wide before snapping back to look at Katsuki at the same moment he grabbed your arm and held your wrist up in front of your face. “You… You’re getting it fixed for me?”

“No! I told you, didn’t I?” I’d erase this damn thing like it never fucking existed!” He growled before pulling you over to the counter in the reception area of the parlour. “It’s getting covered and you’re going to sit through the entire tattoo, you hear me?”

You blinked back tears as you looked down at your wrist where the small flower sat and then back up to his eyes. “Why? Why do you want to do this?” You mumbled as you stuck your bottom lip out, pouting up at him as tears threatened to spill from your eyes. “You didn’t even ask me.”

“No! Don’t you fucking dare cry for that shitty ass flower.” He growled as he cupped your face, leaning in close as he looked into your eyes and passion was the only thing you could make out in the depth of his. “It’s a fucking Petunia, it has a meaning that pisses me off and I bet that asshole of an ex of yours knew the damn meaning behind it! I swear I get my hands on him and being a Hero is going out the window, I hate the meaning of that damn flower. I hate that it’s on your body, I hate that you have something so unsightly staining your beautiful skin! YOU. Deserve. Better!”

You blinked rapidly as you took a shaky breath, sniffling as you searched his eyes. He wasn’t lying to you, for the first time ever he finally told you why he hated the flower and he even managed to compliment you at the same time. “What does it mean?” You whispered as you moved your hands to wipe your tears away.

Katsuki visibly flinched back from you before turning his back on you, his eyes focusing on the man behind the counter as he handed him a piece of paper. “Ask someone else, I won’t fucking say it.”

You stood there in silence while Katsuki talked with the man standing behind the counter, discussing whatever it was on the piece of paper he had handed the man. You swiped at the tears which had started streaking down your face as you stared at the back of the man you loved so much. There was so much love in this man, so much compassion and yet somehow you were the only one who ever managed to see that side of him. There was nothing you wouldn’t do for the man standing in front of you and honestly, you knew the same could be said for him about you.

“Thank you, Katsuki…” You whispered to yourself before moving to hug him from behind. You felt his hot hand come down to rest over yours where it was against his stomach, all the while keeping up his conversation with the other man.

“Thank me when this is all over.” He muttered back to you before pulling free from your grip and leading you off to a room where a station was already set up awaiting you. Trust your boyfriend to have heard what you had said to him, his hearing was some of the best you’d ever come across. “I’ll come back and grab you when it’s all done, alright (Name)?”

“Wait, you’re not staying here with me for the whole thing?” You asked quickly as you looked up at him pleadingly.

“I’ll still be within the vicinity but there is no way you’re going to get me to sit in that cramped ass room with two other people in there.” Katsuki grumbled as he crossed his arms over his chest, a wicked grin pulling at his lips as a fire sparked to life in his eyes. “Unless my little flower is scared?”

“Get fucked! I’ll sit through this like a champ, you go off and be by yourself.” You shot back as you screwed your face up at him, your eyes narrowing at the challenge he had been throwing your way.

Alright, make sure to cry out for me if it gets unbearable.” He chuckled before diving in to plant a tender kiss against your forehead and then turned to leave the room; leaving you standing there with the artist.

“Shall we get this baby started then, Miss?” You blinked as you turned around to look over at your artist, smiling at him as you steeled yourself for what was about to happen.

“Yeah, let’s get this done. I want to see what that Gremlin picked out for me.” You announced before moving over to the station to get comfortable and allow the artist to start on the tattoo.

It had been a while since your first tattoo and honestly you barely remembered anything about it. This one stung a bit at first, the feeling of the needle against your skin as he started working on your tattoo. The pain from your wrist radiating up your arm for a while until eventually the pain numbed down to a dull buzz and you settled into a trance like state. You were zoned out from everything else in the room, too focused on the intricate lines that were being etched into your skin and forming a beautiful scene. You watched the artist in awe as he fluently and effortlessly made his way up along your forearm, decorating the skin in lines and splashes of colour. Flowers, you could tell they were flowers he was putting on your skin but you couldn’t make out what kind.

The vision of flowers being put onto your skin, had a prior question springing to your mind. You looked up from the work being done to your arm and focused on the artist sitting next to you. “Hey, do you have knowledge of what flowers mean?” You asked, hopeful that this man would be able to give you the answer you were looking for.

“Sure do, in our line of work it tends to pay off knowing that sort of thing. Helps us when we’re putting designs together for people too.” He answered as he looked up from your arm, moving to switch the needle over on the machine. “Why’s that sweetheart?”

You felt uneasy about asking this man the question that was bugging you, but you needed an answer and your boyfriend had made it painfully clear that you weren’t going to get it from him. “What is it? The meaning behind a Petunia.”

The man was silent for a moment as he took a shaky breath and sat back in his seat, looking you dead in the eyes. “I was warned you might ask me that question by Mr Bakugou. I’ll be honest with you; I didn’t think he meant it when he said you didn’t know what the meaning was.” He muttered as he took a moment to finish up with the tattoo gun before dipping it back into a small pot of vibrant red liquid. “Resentment and anger. To give a Petunia to someone is to say you are angry at them or that you resent them for something.”

You were silent as you stared at the man sitting beside you, not even feeling it when he went back to working on your tattoo. You understood everything now, why Katsuki had been so damn angry all this time about seeing the flower on your wrist. You couldn’t help but to smile as you looked down to the new tattoo covering your old one, Katsuki was doing you a favour and you would make sure to repay him for that.

The rest of the tattoo went by without a hitch, the two of you managing to strike up a conversation as you watched and he worked effortlessly. It turned out your artist was a rather big fan of the Hero Ground Zero and apparently your boyfriend had taken it upon himself to come here first while in his Hero uniform. It all kind of made sense to you now, how your boyfriend was able to just walk into a shop and ask for a tattoo; he’d already been here. Honestly, you weren’t the least bit surprised and it was just like Katsuki to suss a place out before making a decision.

By the time the tattoo was finally finished, your forearm was tingling from having been stabbed with a needle constantly but the finished piece was worth it in your mind. You stared in awe at the finished piece as you looked it over in the mirror, the colours were perfect and the flowers looked beautiful placed in the order they were. “Thank you, they all look so perfect.”

“I’m pleased to hear that you like it so much.” Your artist practically chirped as he smiled over at you. “Now, I’ll just go grab the big guy and get his approval on the piece. Hopefully my work will live up to his expectations too.”

There were nine different flowers decorating the length of your inner forearm, each one as intricate as the next. They weren’t all the same size either, some of them were no bigger than your thumb nail while others covered a fair amount of your skin. You smiled as you traced your fingers gingerly over the delicate flowers that adorned your skin, impressed with how real they actually looked.

“You’re not supposed to touch it, idiot!”

“But it’s so pretty, Gremlin.”

“Tch…” Katsuki scoffed as he stepped into the room, moving over to your side and pulling your hand away from your arm as he spun you to face him. “I didn’t get it for you just so you could get it infected before we even get home, damn it!”

You giggled as you tilted your head back, peering up into his face as you intertwined your fingers with his. “Thank you, for covering it.” You whispered as you reached up on your tiptoes and kissed his jaw tenderly. “I asked him what it meant, I’m kind of glad to have it gone now.” You admitted as you looked down at the new flowers that embellished your skin in place of the piece of shit that had been there before. “These new ones are so much better.”

“Of course, they are. I fucking chose them!” Katsuki declared as he smirked down at you, leaning in to kiss the top of your head before moving out the way and letting the artist finish up with the tattoo.

He stood silently in the doorway while your tattoo was washed over once more before being wrapped so it wouldn’t get dirty on your trip home. Katsuki pulled you in close under his arm as he walked with you out to the reception area of the parlour, paying for the tattoo as he chatted with the artist. The work obviously had Katsuki’s tick of approval because he was nice enough to leave the man with a memento that Ground Zero had been in his shop, signing over the top of the counter as the man asked him to do.

You stuck close to Katsuki’s side as you walked back towards his house with him, your arm starting to ache now as you kept it tucked up close to your chest and tried not to let the cold wind brush against it. “So, did you ask him what they meant too?”

You were snapped out of your thoughts at the question your boyfriend suddenly threw at you. “Wait… what?” You whimpered as you looked up at him quickly. “You mean there is more than one meaning to this tattoo, other than just covering up the old one?” You asked, dumbfounded by the revelation.

“Of course!” Katsuki grumbled as he shook his head. “Did you really think I would get you a new tattoo and not have the damn thing mean something?”

“I thought it was just a cover up of the old one…” You whispered as you looked down at your arm, puzzled over what the meaning behind it could possibly have been.

“I don’t half-ass this kind of shit, (Name).” Katsuki shot back as he flicked your forehead roughly “Figure it out for yourself what it means and don’t you dare cheat by asking him either!”

Katsuki sighed heavily as he stepped over the threshold to his house, relieved with finally being able to relax now that he was done with being a Hero for the day. It took a moment for him to register that something about his arrival home wasn’t quite right and then it hit him like a tonne of bricks; it was too silent! He screwed his face up as he waited for you to call out to him, your usual ‘welcome home” something he looked forward to and otherwise missing in the moment.

“Babe?” He called out into the house, waiting for you to respond to him.

When silence was all that greeted him in response, his fighting response was automatically kicked into high gear. He moved through the house quietly, managing not to let his boots make any noise as he headed deeper into the house. He stopped as the sound of ruffling pages caught his attention and he whipped his head around instantly towards the kitchen. Katsuki held his breath as he stalked towards the kitchen, ready to kick ass if the situation called for it.

His face fell as he caught sight of you bundled up, books scattered all over the table and a few even littering the floor. He shook his head as he moved over to you, arching an eyebrow as he saw the books were all to do with flowers. “So, this is what made you too busy to welcome me home?” He teased as he leaned down over you and kissed the top of your head.

“Welcome home…” You mumbled subconsciously as you flipped the pages of the book in front of you.

Katsuki narrowed his eyes before snatching the book out from between your fingers, waiting for you to register just who exactly it was that you had been choosing to ignore. He peered down at the pages of the book, it wasn’t hard for him to put two and two together; he knew what you were doing. “Is my little flower struggling?”

You blinked as realisation finally set in and you whipped around in your chair, leaning your head right back so you could look up at your boyfriend. “Babe…” You whispered softly as you leaned against the table. “Shit… fuck, I’m sorry. Welcome home!”

“Tch… bit late now idiot.” He muttered as he moved to sit down at the table with you, shoving a stack of the books over the edge and smirked as they hit the floor. “Now, do you need help? You’ve been at this for damn weeks.”

You sighed in defeat as you flung your arm out towards your boyfriend before letting it fall down onto the table. “I’ve looked and I’ve looked but I just can’t figure out what sort of flowers these are babe. Please, just tell me what they are?” You pleaded with him as you looked over at his face.

“Fine but only because you’re going to annoy me if I fucking don’t help you.” He growled before dragging his chair around the table to sit next to yours, grabbing your arm and bending it towards you. “For starters, try starting from your wrist and make your way up your arm.”

“I tried that; it doesn’t make a difference though when I still don’t know what the flowers are.” You whined as you looked at him, leaning into his side as you pouted.

“Shut up, I was getting there!” Katsuki growled as he flicked your nose. “Why are you so impatient, (Name)?” He teased before moving his right hand to touch the flower that covered your wrist. “Begonia, that’s what this is called. It has the symbolism of being cautious or aware.”

“Cautious and aware?” You queried as you turned your head to look up at him. “Really? That’s not me in the slightest though, babe.”

“No, but it sure is me.” He whispered as he traced his finger over the petals of the flower. “You made me more aware and cautious when I left the house. I was reckless, so very reckless before I met you but now, I’m more aware and cautious while I’m on the job. Because of you!”

You blinked as you sat up straighter, leaning in as you watched Katsuki trace the petals of the flowers. Of course, he had never said what the meanings of the flowers had pertained to but you hadn’t been expecting it to be something like that. Were all of the flowers relating to something similar as that? Did Katsuki pick flowers that symbolise things about your relationship with him that actually meant something to him?

“Aquilegia, it’s the uncommon name for it but I like it better. It stands for happiness and if you make me explain that to you, I’m going to fucking smother you.” Katsuki growled as he shot you a warning glare.

“No need, I make you happy but you also make me happy. I guess the flower represents the happiness that we bring each other in our relationship.” You whispered as you moved your hand to touch the flower tenderly.

“Yeah, something like that.” He muttered before sliding his finger up along your arm further. “Kalanchoes, would have had better luck finding these two in a succulent book. They represent endurance but more importantly they mean lasting affection. I’m not about to just stop loving you out of nowhere, so you better not try to do that to me either! You’re stuck with me and you’re going to have to accept that, (Name)!”

You smiled as you moved your finger along your arm, following after Katsuki’s as you poked at the smaller flower. “Yeah, I can accept that but your crazy arse is stuck with me too.”

“Ursinia, it means innocent love.” Katsuki continued as he tapped on the next flower along your arm. “You can’t even fucking argue with me that you’re innocent as all fuck. You are the innocent love of my life, deal with it.”

“Getting really sappy there, babe.” You teased as you kissed his jaw.

“Shut up, I can stop right now if you want me to!” He threatened as he narrowed his eyes and made to move his hand away from your arm.

“NO! I’ll behave, please don’t.” You whispered as you leaned forwards more and pointed to the next flower. “What are these ones?”

“Those are Gardenias, want to guess what those ones mean?” Katsuki shot as he smirked down at you, moving his other hand to tuck your hair behind your ear. He chuckled as you shook your head and looked over at him pleadingly, your silence all he needed for him to continue. “They mean sweetness, joy and purity.”

Ok, that was pretty self-explanatory, Katsuki would probably murder you if you tried to ask him to explain it to you anyways. You watched his finger closely as he traced along the petals slowly, his finger gracing over one of the many butterflies that also adorned your arm. You were going to ask him about those too, you wanted to know whether there was meaning behind the butterflies as well or whether he just threw them in there for decoration.

“The little flower here is called an Osmanthus or an Olive flower, it symbolises peace.” He whispered as he shifted in his seat slightly and rubbed his finger over the small flower. “You bring peace to everyone who comes into contact with you but you bring peace to my entire fucking life. I never thought I’d be able to find someone who would make me feel at peace when I come home, but you certainly do.”

You smiled as tears started to prick at the corners of your eyes, trying desperately not to start crying while Katsuki explained the meaning of the flowers to you. Each flower just made the entire tattoo a little more meaningful to you but you knew the meaning held so much more importance to Katsuki. “And the last one?”

“Ulex, it means protection and hope.” He admitted as he smoothed his hand over the last of the flowers. “Protection because you are mine to protect, I’ll be damned if I ever let a single thing happen to you!”

“What about hope then?” You whispered as you turned in your seat to look at him fully.

“You… You gave me hope. Hope that I could be a better person than what I used to be, hope that I could be the best Hero the people needed.” He admitted as he leaned in and kissed your cheek tenderly.

You smiled as you thought over all the names of the flowers, tracing your finger back over all of them as tears slipped down your face. You were happy, the flowers Katsuki had given to you were so much better than what that other thing had given to you. These flowers were special, they held proper meaning and they were there to stay. You frowned as something dawned on you, the names of all the flowers, there was something about them that struck you as odd.

“Begonia, Aquilegia, Kalanchoe, Ursinia, Gardenia, Osmanthus and Ulex…. B, A, K, U, G, O… YOU fucking didn’t!” You jumped up away from the table as you realised what your boyfriend had done to you. “Did you really just spell your name out, on my skin, using flowers?”

Katsuki shrugged as he looked over at you. “Problem?”

“Ah…. I’d say yes but I’d be lying and I know you hate liars.” You mumbled as you placed your hands on your hips. “How dare you make me wait weeks to find out that your name is on my arm in the form of flowers!” You huffed as you plopped back down in your seat and looked down at your arm. “I can’t believe you did that.”

“Might as well get used to it.” Katsuki muttered as he stood from the chair, a grin planted on his face as he kissed the top of your head. “One of these days, it’s going to be your name!”

You didn’t think anything more of the conversation until a couple of weeks later, your friends had come screaming to you about something or another and practically threw their phones in your face. It had taken you a moment to realise that they had said Bakugou and interview in the same sentence. You started the video as your friend held the phone for you, her hand shaking as she practically jumped up and down on the spot. You tried desperately to listen to what the reporter was saying to your boyfriend but unfortunately something else in the video was grabbing your attention.

There on Katsuki’s left arm was an arrangement of flowers, each one bursting with life and formed perfectly as though they were real. You stared at the flowers before looking down at the ones on your arm, they looked like they were done by the same person. You thought back to that day instantly, the fact Katsuki had left you in that room for hours on end and disappeared for the entire time. Was it possible that he had gotten a tattoo of his own on that day? Why hadn’t he said anything to you about it since then? Was it fresh or had he been hiding it on purpose?

“Mr Ground Zero, I have to ask what is with all the flowers on your arm?” Your attention snapped back to the tiny screen in front of you and you watched as an almost feral grin spread over your boyfriend’s face.

“(Name), that’s what’s with it.” He declared as he turned his arm to show the tattoo off a little better.

“(Name)?” By this stage your friends were practically screaming in your ears and you were trying your hardest to listen to what was being said.

“Yeah, that’s the name of my future fucking wife!” He growled out as he smirked victoriously.

Whatever else was said was lost to you. All sound seemed to have disappeared for you and the only thing you could think about was the fact Katsuki had just declared he was going to marry you on national television. Your heart was thundering in your chest as your knees went weak and you sunk down to the ground before you fell. Your head was spinning as a conversation from several weeks prior came rushing back to you, the final words from your boyfriend ringing loud in your head.

“Might as well get used to it. One of these days, it’s going to be your name!”

If He Was YOUR Fan Chapter 6: The Set Up (Henry Cavill x Reader Fan Fic)

“Tell me something.” Henry says softly as you put a small platter of appetizers next to him. He licks his lips and the simple gesture makes you press your thighs together for reasons you don’t want to think about.

You turn toward Henry as you sit in a seat next to him to watch TV. “Hmmm?”

“Why are you so…far away?” he asks. “We’ve sat on the floor, rode a motorcycle,” he sighs. “I don’t bite…well, not exactly. Why so shy tonight?”

You smile shyly. After touring the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey and riding high with him over London lip locked with your leg wrapped around him, you are feeling a little exposed, a little vulnerable. He is seeing more from you than anyone has in some time. You let your feelings really show, and though it feels good every time with him, there is such a thing as spinning out of control and falling, things happening too fast and getting hurt. You don’t want that, no matter how much your body needs it, no matter how drawn you are to him. Your heart has been broken too many times.

He calls your name softly, and though there is a tender demand in his voice, there is also a plea in in his eyes, looking bluer than usual because of what he chose to wear. Once again, you respond to him, the plea and demand to come closer.

You straddle him and you feel him between your legs. You suppress a small cry of need and settle there but exhale heavily. You know you’re playing a dangerous game, but like a kitten who knows no better, curiosity gets the best of you. You take an appetizer and feed it to him, hoping to distract him by his hunger, but his eyes convey one of a different sort even as he devours it and chews slowly, not losing eye contact with you. He swallows and licks his lips, feeding you one, and then pours wine into a glass. He sips and offers you a drink after you swallow your food. As soon as you swallow the wine, he frames your face with his hands and brings you down for a kiss, lapping the insides of your mouth with deep and slow thrusts that make you moan softly. You suck his tongue as he turns his head to keep drinking from you, and you nibble his lips, lightly biting the lower one.

His eyes open slightly and he rakes your back. The sensation is delicious and you arch to him. The cross over top proves no barrier to him and he nuzzles your chest, planting wet kisses in the valley between your breasts before pushing your top open. Again, the next layer of fabric is nothing; he kisses your neck and pulls down the straps and the top just enough to bare your breasts, and rakes your back again.

“Henry!” you moan, your body helplessly grinding on his as his hands run over your backside and his fingers expertly find your slit through your skort and panties. His fingers need only push aside the fabric and he would have you. He strokes as his mouth captures one of your breasts in his mouth, swirling his tongue around the tip before gently taking into his mouth for a wet kiss that he repeats over and over.

You move in time with his hand shamelessly, aching with need as your head falls back so you can breathe. You pant and hear your own high pitched moans as he finally slips a finger into your panties and rubs your slit, still not entering you. You gasp, wishing he would come inside. This is too far, but you don’t know how to stop now.

“Shhh it’s alright, breathe, darling,” he whispers into you the hollow of your neck as he starts a rhythm.

You whimper, both your movements becoming more urgent as he grasps your hips and you grind together. You hold his shoulders as you shudder, your body pulsing with need as you fall forward and try to catch your breath. He is hard between your legs. You are both in need, yet somewhat fulfilled. You rake his hair, your head bowed next to his as you try to compose yourself.

“I want you to know I know,” he pants softly in your ear, his voice a growl. “I could have had you tonight. I could have taken you to my bed and that would be that. But the more I know you, the more I want your complete surrender, not a seduction.”

“Henry—”

He pulls you back slightly, and looks into your eyes as he whispers your name. “I believe good things come to those who wait, darling. That’s why I am a patient man, and I think you are a good thing.”

You hear your name called, jolting you from your memory.

“I don’t know what to do!” Stella says worriedly wringing her hands. “I got a job in catering, but I don’t have a place to stay yet! Everyone is in twos, and I don’t know what to do!”

“Maybe we can have her stay with us,” I suggest. “Maybe we can fit a third in with us.”

Hannah nods readily. “We’re at our rental now. Let’s see what we can do.”

The rental is set up like a dorm on one floor with two beds in each room and the other floor had single bedrooms that were so small one could barely turn around in it. You talk to the senior assistant, Michaela, and she basically says it’s up to us, but we may regret it.

You step outside to get air and look at the house and frown. Does that look like an attic or a…?

You race inside to Michaela. “Is the space over the garage taken?”

“Space? What space?”

You walk her outside and point. “That one.”

Michaela makes a call to the renter and finds out it is not furnished, but the bathroom and kitchen are equipped to work and the carpeting is down.

“If I furnish and decorate, may I have it?”

Michaela thinks you are crazy because that is way more than what you have agreed to pay, but gets an okay from everyone. Stella gives you her payment, and she takes your space. On a mission you set off to find what you need in a nearby town.

A guy named Archer and his brother Stuart from scenery decide to help you and Stella get the things you need, even set up the bed and couch for you. You only have two days before everyone had to be on set for work. Hannah opts out to help, but its understandable.

“You can tell me,” Stella whispers as she helps you hang the curtain to separate your bedroom area from your living room-kitchen. “You do know Henry Cavill, don’t you?”

You laugh, and say, “I went to a panel about his latest movie. I wish I knew the guy better!” That was no lie. You feel yourself giving in to him and you don’t know what to do. There was so much to consider since your last date one thing being if you know him well enough to really trust him.

“Well, if you did, this is going to be one interesting movie shoot.”

You frown. “Why do you say that?”

“Henry’s ex, Gracie Gray, is playing a role in this production,” Stella lets out a low whistle. “They were pretty hot and heavy at one time, so I guess it doesn’t matter.”

Your heart drops. Henry himself said he prefers women in the business; in fact, he seemed to have a habit of picking women based on that and proximity. The idea of being his flavor of the film tastes like bile to you and makes your stomach twist. You busy yourself with unpacking your things.

Stella turns you around. “Okay, what’s going on?”

“Nothing.” You say, but you feel a lump in your throat.

You finally finish the small living space aka hook up the wifi and TV. Happy with  the setup you log into Netflix. “Yes!”

“How much money you got left?” Stella asks as you both recline on the couch.

“Not much,” you sigh. “I’m gonna need this money to stay afloat.”

“It—” Stella looks around. “You did a great job—”

“We did a great job—”

“You measured the space, imagine possibilities and set it up in your mind,” Stella shook her head. “I can’t do that.”

“Yes you do it with food,” you argue softly. “Hannah does it with art.” Among other things, you amend silently. “I did it when I worked as an executive assistant in human resources for a company.” You chuckle at the memory. “Moving offices is a nasty business.”

“But I’d say this is the best space now,” Stella smiles. “And you have a private entrance! Maybe you can invite Archer up here sometime.”

Your eyes widen and you slap Stella playfully. “Archer? Come on, Stella—”

“He likes you,” Stella gives you a sideways shake. “It was so obvious.” She is quiet for a moment. “Unless you’re still thinking about the guy on the motorcycle-the look-alike?”

“He is a bit hard to forget,” you sigh, feeling bad for lying to Stella and promising yourself someday you’d come clean. “And time tells everything right?”

Stella crosses her legs on the table and closes her eyes to relax. “True enough. Let’s chill for a minute and then finish unpacking the kitchen, okay?”

You stare straight ahead. “Sounds like a plan.”

Things just got really simple or really complicated.

10.12 – Review and Spoilers

and some I-got-carried-away thoughts on Steve's character – meta-ish and super long

I wasn't sure what to expect from this episode and I got rewarded with so many magnificent details, especially with a lot of wonderful glimpses into Steve's personality when he's competing with someone. And this said someone is not only a former team guy but this someone also drives a Ferrari and has an impressive reputation and is a hidden fan of a so-called Steve McGarrett. Magnum is such a big fan that even his own team he's working with nowadays has heard all about the legendary McGarrett moves and ops and stories. And that speaks of such a high respect Magnum has for Steve McGarrett that everything else just fades away. Magnum's respect and the honor he feels for being with Steve is real. There's this deep understanding that Steve's ready to accept at the end of the day. But only after Magnum has proved himself being worthy.

But I'm not there yet. Whoa, getting derailed so fast right from the start. So that's what I'm gonna write about most in this review: Steve and his attitude, the SEAL spirit and a bit about Magnum because he's the reason Steve acts the way he does. And I'll write about Danny, about the omnipresent, strong, gorgeous, leaving-visible-dents-in Steve's-emotional-armor presence of Danny energy. God, those references about Danny during the entire episode…I loved those! The way Steve's partner came up and was mentioned every now and then was just a blessing for my McDanno heart.

And Steve's response to Magnum's actions also speaks volumes about the relationship he has with Danny. I hope I can get it out the way I feel it. I hope, in the end, everything makes sense.

This episode is fun to watch, Steve and Magnum are all about Alpha moves, flexing muscles and showing off, trying to make an impression on the other man – in a very silent, kind of cautious, intelligent way, of course. Like the archaic animals, these men are deep inside, well-hidden. They must mark their territory. They need to check the other out before they even think about being appreciative of each other. At least, Steve acts this way. Magnum tries to wrap his mind around the fact that he's actually working a case with the human legend he's fanboying over for years, apparently.

I grew up with Tom Selleck as Magnum and his trademark, the mustache, the red Ferrari and his stupid tight blue jeans with the belt. Anyway, Magnum, in my inner world is a tree of a man, tall and super hairy and intimidating. Higgins is a whiny, rich, wobbly guy with two wonderful Doberman pinscher. And I just needed some time to get used to a smaller Magnum, with no hairy arms and legs and a female Higgins with an impressive, wonderful British accent. And even though the Magnum Pi guys did a great job, they didn't grow on me. I appreciate Magnum (the new one) for completely other reasons that have entirely to do with Steve and Danny.

Okay, we have the first encounter of the two teams. I have to emphasize another important observation and it's an ongoing feeling throughout the episode. The H50 team, the ohana bond and everything they talk about are so rich in colors, so vivid and alive and so full of honest feelings. That's how I get the vibes. Higgins and Magnum are nice…they are okay…but they didn't manage to leave an impression…and I'm sorry but I can't really make it work. Their banter seems stages, not really coming from inside and from a place of true fondness. It's…just not flowing. At least, not for me. No offense, but I can't make it work with Higgins and Magnum.

That said, seeing both teams meet just highlights the significant difference in the spirit everyone emanates. And all the H50 ohana breathes a huge amount of charisma and freaking great vibes. And I love that!

When the H50 team digests the information of Higgins who has been an ex-spy, Steve eyes her with a silent jolt in his behavior. He takes her in with that measured look and it just occurred to me that once again he's confronted with a special female species. Tough woman, working for an agency, has been a spy once and it reminds him instantly, alarmingly intense of two women who have played a significant role in his life: Steve's mother Doris and Catherine Rollins.

Steve mentions that he likes "this one", pointing to Higgins and he lets her talk but the moment that it's out she's an ex-spy Steve takes a step back inwardly and he gives her a quick all-over. That's a fascinating moment.

Magnum: "McGarrett, I know that name, you're a team guy, right? I was a team guy, too."

And Steve's answer to that, completely flabbergasted: "Is that right?" (Because what the hell?)

Steve deals with the second, silent emotional blow within a few seconds. He's not prepared to meet a former SEAL. And because Steve's bound to every SEAL with a code of honor it's literally visible how his mind works overtime to get things right in his head. This Hawaiian-shirt-wearing-bare-legged-sun-tanned guy is a former SEAL?? And Steve's anyway a bit pissed because he got an anonymous tip from a male voice leading him in the right direction. And now, he's been told that it's this guy. Steve's not fond of such moments. And he stays skeptical although his inner conviction doesn't allow him to be distant. SEALs are brothers, no matter what.

There's more!

Steve warms up to Magnum. He addresses him as, "and you Mr. Private investigator you come with me."

Steve's forceful Alpha move number one is to convince Magnum somehow to let him drive the Ferrari. Okay, here's what I think about that.

It's about ranks and pack order. it's about the high respect Magnum has for Steve and because he's a brother, one of the reasons why legends get written. It's because of guys like McGarrett that legends live on. Because McGarrett is a freaking hero! And Magnum has no problem with all of this. He doesn't need to inflate his ego by fighting Steve. In fact, he understands Steve, he feels his brother and he lets him drive, bowing to the force of nature that is Steve McGarrett. Magnum pays respect to this man and honors his service just by this move. I might exaggerate a bit but seriously, that's how I see it.

And just for the record, Steve…oh well, Steve needs a boost for his ego. He needs to show that he's the Alpha and that's he has a say in this. He needs to know he wrestled Magnum into submission and is kind of blockhead, too busy to enjoy the moment and that he made it behind the steering wheel. He's so smug and confident and almost combusts with all the joy and the arousal to have his hands on the steering wheel of this freaking, awesome Ferrari-stud! Jesus! I know he's hard while he stomps the gas! Come on, Steve, admit it!

And Magnum has the freaking nerve to mention Danny (your partner) and tells Steve right to his face that Danny doesn't do well with riding always in the passenger's seat. But Steve's glowing and the hidden smile shines through when he confirms in this classical, smug way that Danny's okay with him driving Danny's car. That's almost the cutest thing ever.

Steve, dude!

And then, Christ! The 'white knight' conversation happens. I try to summarize this. Steve reads. He reads books written by former SEALs, or about the experiences of former SEALs.

Steve: "Entertaining but unrealistic though. There's no way a character that cocky would ever, ever make it through BUD/s."

He's seriously impressed that Magnum knows the author of that said book. In fact, Robin the author is Magnum's boss. And it gets better. The 'wight knight' has left an impression on Steve. Steve admires this guy!! This cocky guy couldn't have made it through BUD/s, nu-huh, no freaking way!

Steve: "So, you're sayin' you're the white knight?"

Magnum: "Well, that's classified. But I will say that the lead character is based on a heroic, charismatic individual who will do anything to get the job done."

Guess, what? Robin has been embedded with Magnum's team for the research on this book. So, Magnum answers with Steve's favorite line - that's classified! Come on!!! That's totally Steve's mojo! And Steve's face! I can't even. He looks at Magnum and all of Steve screams what the fuck, man?

And it dawns on Steve that this cocky bastard he thinks would never, ever make it through BUD/s is in fact – Magnum! The realization…hilarious! Steve's brain shifts into gear and he can hardly believe what he's just discovered.

Steve, with a soft smile: "…I might be in the presence of greatness right now."

Then, that scene where Magnum picks the lock with his tools and Steve watches. Steve plays the correct cop who seems to follow the rules. He lets Magnum open the door though, causing a crime but the important detail is the fact that Steve points to the badge to emphasize he can't break the rules.

I remember a scene where Steve and Danny stand in front of a closed door and Danny thinks about how to get in while Steve just kicks down the door. Danny yells at him and calls him 'a Neanderthal animal' but follows him regardless of what Steve just did. Steve loves to get Danny's attention no matter how this happens. Ranting always means caring and Steve bathes in Danny's way of caring.

Magnum finds the documents hidden under the fridge. Steve makes it up to him with his compliment. "Nice found!" only to pull the next Alpha move of hastily reading the documents written in Chinese, completely ignoring Magnum.

And that scene where Magnum disarms Steve, dislodging the clip of his gun because the perp told him so. That's also a great moment, revealing what Danny has known for a long time. Steve has feelings for his gun. Magnum does as he's been told and pulls the gun from the holster. Steve's senses are on high alert and he sells out Magnum to the perp. Steve searches for a way out, but his real concerns are on his weapon. The way the sheer disbelief shows on his face when Magnum carelessly throws his gun into the bushes almost hurts and makes me laugh at the same time. Steve can't believe how disrespectful Magnum treats his gun! That's such a great moment.

Steve's excitement about driving a Ferrari is infectious. I'm sensing Alex' and Chi's personality seeping through their characters of Steve and Lou when they whisper conspiratorially about how it feels to drive a Ferrari. There's so much passion, breathlessness, and this male want and I love that short, intense moment so much.

The other, sweet glimpse of how Steve feels about Danny comes next. The team watches Magnum and Higgins bicker (I'm not fond of that bickering, too staged, too little heart and honesty in it, doesn't catch my attention) but anyway, the team exchanges funny looks, and Lou asks if they are reminded of anyone by watching the argument of the other two. Steve doesn't even bat an eye, and no one can draw a breath and his reply follows like a shot.

Steve: "Danny and I aren't like that."

Steve instantly catches on who his ohana talks about. He denies everything about what they are teasing about. Steve utters his comment on the topic with a finale tone, like anything about him and Danny bickering is non-negotiable. His arms are crossed over his chest and his stance is wide and solid, unmovable. No one touches Danny! Forbidden territory. Period. And I love that moment, it doesn't even last three seconds but it talks volumes how Steve feels about Danny.

Now, let's talk also about this epic scene in the car when Steve gets a ride by Magnum's team.

Steve: "I would've called my people, but Magnum insisted on calling you guys."

Magnum wanted his team to meet this legend, Steve McGarrett because he knows how much this would mean to his guys! That's so cute and sweet and lovely and really, really kind and deep. I have feelings about this, Magnum genuinely admires Steve, being a SEAL with every fiber of his body and soul. Heaven help!

And before Magnum's team can catch up Magnum has a little chit-chat on his own with Steve and about being a SEAL and about…so much for "no man left behind". Again, some arm-wrestling to prove who's stronger but there's no heat behind that argument more like old buddies catching up.

And then…ohmygod!! TC is my hero! TC says one of the most epic sentences ever in this episode! I'm still reeling from those words. They are super great, sweet Jesus!

TC: "I'm sorry, but I got to ask. There's this SEAL named McGarrett that we always used to hear about. Fought in Operation Avalanche and the Battle of Garmsir. He also led the team that rescued those hostages in Karachi."

THAT'S PURE ADMIRATION RIGHT THERE!! Not only does this mean that Magnum has been gushing about McGarrett all the time because he's so fond of this guy and full of admiration, no, it also shows us what kind of hero Steve is. But SEALs don't talk about their work. They just get the job done and move on. They work in the shadows.

But Steve answers that kind of question…like:

Steve: "Yeah, yeah, that was me."

I mean…*LE GASP*!! WHAT?? How can he just give such a flat-out super direct answer and admitting every-fucking-thing?? I was like…BACKPADDLE! I CAN'T KEEP UP WITH WHAT JUST HAPPENED!

I mean. Whoa! From all the moments Danny has been asking Steve questions about his work in the Navy and as a SEAL there was always the same answer is given by Steve: "I neither can confirm nor deny it." Or my favorite one: "This is classified." And those answers always drove Danny up the wall and into more ranting.

Do you remember the time where the H50 team was allowed to join the operation room from an active SEAL operation? They helped to solve a case where a drug lord (I guess) was involved and they could watch the last op where a SEAL team took out the targets and killed all the tangos. So, and there was Danny asking Steve inappropriate questions about "Operation Strawberry field"…he was making fun of Steve in an odd Danny way. Joe White was quite fed up with Danny's attitude and he glared at him to get him to shut up. Steve seemed really a bit ashamed of Danny's disrespectful behavior.

Anyway, when Danny saw the live feed on how the SEAL team breached the house and how they were killing with precision and a tough skill set every target on place he suddenly went all quiet. He whispered to Steve: "You did that too?" with a tight voice. But Steve only said that he could neither confirm nor deny this question.

The realization of Steve's assigned task as a SEAL hits Danny like being clocked with a brick. But anyway, Danny has never admired Steve's SEAL career in an open way because he knew already then, that Steve's ego is about as big as Texas anyway. But that moment had an impact on Danny and he started to get the big picture.

Okay, let's go back to Steve's answer: Yeah, yeah, that was me. Maybe he said that because he still feels a bit intimidated and surprised by sitting next to the 'white knight'.

The way Steve's answered TC kind of caught me off guard. He's admitting so openly that he was the one leading those operations and he kind of enjoys the admiration (he soaks it up like a dry sponge…to be honest). He really loves being the center of the attention and that's a new one. It's touching how much TC and Rick are really into Steve and his way of being a real hero.

And then TC goes for the kill: "Man, do you realize this is the same cat that took out Anton and Victor, Hess?"

Hello?? TC addresses Steve as 'the same cat'…God! This is highly seductive and hot…as in stealthy, lethal, super primal jungle cat…I mean, what the hell, TC?

The guys are not finished yet.

TC: "This dude is a legit legend."

And here comes Rick: "You know, and I'm glad you brought it up because I-I just want to say, sir, it's an honor." (and he turns to look at Steve.)

Steve: "Thanks, bud."

TC: "We are in the presence of greatness."

(I'm so dead! This is so emotional and I love TC and Rick and Magnum, too because they are pure bliss for Steve's soul and heart.)

And it's not finished yet! There's this last scene where Steve thanks Magnum for working with him on the case. Steve had fun.

Magnum sees Joe White's picture on the wall and they talk about Joe. Steve is moved and there's a short flare of pain but the bonding happens over the fact that Magnum also knew Joe as one of the best instructors ever. And not only is Steve a legend but also in Magnum's eyes, he's also been close to Joe White. Magnum is a decent guy. There's no jealousy coming off of Magnum, only camaraderie and the joy to have gotten to know another brother. And I really love that about him.

I really appreciate the fact that Magnum offers Steve in a nice way to sit down and to talk. Let's grab a beer some time, referring to them as 'us team guys got to stick together' and Steve says 'yes' and not only that.

Steve: "Maybe you can bring those boys along. They're good for the ego."

And Steve shows Magnum the long-overdue respect by calling him the White Knight and telling him his secret is safe with him. Seriously, what a pile of emotions.

And that's such a sweet, honest thing to say and it's Steve who admits it. I just love this scene. And all these moments are also soaked with Danny's energy. First, Magnum wants to meet Steve's partner. Danny's kind of legend too, I guess. Who could keep up with the legit legend Steve McGarrett? This must be one of a kind. And Danny knew Joe White.
