Welcome to Armscor Collective! This place used to be a couple of abandoned warehouses but Blossom Moonbeam has big ambitions to turn it into a community centre/workshop/art studio/gallery/dance club/commune. After all, there’s plenty of space. They should probably take it one step at a time, though. Some proper beds would be a start...

Blossom is a family sim, sure, but family means different things to different people. Sometimes a family is you, a stoner you knew from college, and a runaway teen you picked up off the street.

Rick: And this is the kitchen! Pretty cool, right? Blossom was trying to teach me how to make her veggie soup but I haven’t quite mastered it yet.

Violet: Cute. Listen, I’m glad you have a roof over your head and all, but are you really all right here? This place seems kinda... shady?

Rick: Apparently living here is technically legal! Like, there aren’t any laws against it.

Violet: Right, and are these people looking out for your best interests? You’re not being coerced, or...?

Rick: You worry too much, Vi. They’re cool! They’re good people, I think. Blossom is, anyway.

Violet: Mmm, I gotta get going. Mom and Dad will be wondering why I’m out so late.

Rick: You’d better not narc on me to them.

Violet: I wouldn’t dream of it! Stay safe, okay? Text me right away if anything happens.

Rick: Nothing’s gonna happen, Vi.

Violet: I know, but just in case! Promise you’ll text.

Rick: All right, all right. I promise.

As much as he cared about Violet, lately Rick was starting to find her visits more suffocating than comforting. Why did she always have to bring anxiety and doubt into everything? Couldn’t she just be happy he’d found somewhere cool to stay, with people he trusted?

Rick Contrary - Athletic, Hot-headed, Dramatic, Couch Potato

Blossom caught Rick trying to shop-lift from Fresh Rush Grocery a week ago and invited him back to the warehouse for a hot meal. He’s just been kinda hanging out here since then. Rick doesn’t really give a shit about “anarcho-communism” or whatever, but it’s a roof over his head and Blossom & Mickey are chill. They don’t ask what the deal is with his parents or talk about handing him in with social services or whatever. It’s cool.

Malcolm Landgraab isn’t too impressed with the flagrant violation of property ownership going on here. He’s been lobbying to get squatter’s rights revoked for years.

Mickey: You doin’ okay, kid?

Rick: You don’t have to keep "checking in”, dude. I’m fine.

Mickey: ‘aight, cool. The good news is Blossom figured out the utilities. We got running water now!

Blossom’s pulled some strings to get Rick enrolled in one of the local city schools. It’s a bit of a rough place but hey, it’s an education. Rick wasn’t keen on the idea at first, but she doesn’t want him living at the warehouse just because he’s got no place else to go. It’s important to have options!

It doesn’t quite feel like home yet, but Blossom is sure they’ll get there eventually. A good start would be clearing out some of these boxes, setting up a garden, maybe gathering together a few more likeminded people! Of course, it’s a little tougher finding people to join up with her than it was at college. Sims are so eager to join the rat race once they enter the so-called “Real World”. Don’t they realise what a scam the whole thing is?

That’s where I’m leaving this the collective - they were really fun to play!  Although the lot is a little large which causes quite a bit of lag, it was just about managable?

I’ve been looking forward to playing this lot for ages, I have wanted to use Armscor warehouses as a commune/squat ever sicne I first saw it on MTS and have been patiently waiting for enough students to graduate to make it viable... Rick joining up with them was a fun inclusion, I thought of it when he ran away but wanted to keep where he ended up as a bit of a suprise, haha.

Rick had a want to “earn some money” and since I’m not allowing anyone in this household to work a normal job I took him to Sugar Cube to try his hand at DJ-ing.

Blossom: Thanks for doing the dishes, Rick. I appreciate it!

Rick: It’s no big deal.

Rick: So, uh, what are you making?

Blossom: Comfort soup! Mickey said he might be bringing college people home with him, and who knows when they last had a hearty meal...

It’s a pretty fun night out! although Miranda was too busy with her Official Girlfriend, Melody, to pay Mickey too much attention. Maybe their college hook-up was a just a one-time thing. Fine by him. He’s chill!

Mickey still isn’t too enthusiastic about working but it’s not like gardening is really work, right? It’s fun! He kinda wishes they could grow more than just fruits & vegetables, though. Maybe if they smash a little more of the concrete and dig out an area...

Mickey: Morning, uh...?

Juliette: Juliette. I’m Miranda’s cousin.

Mickey: Groovy. You want a pancake?

Juliette: That would be lovely, thank you. I hope I’m not imposing, I-

Mickey: It’s chill, babe. Oh, shit. I am not used to this stove.

Maybe running away from home wasn’t such a bad thing. Rick’s used to having Violet as his only friend, but since he moved into the warehouse he’s meeting all kinds of interesting new people, even other teens! Melody and Desdemona are both weird, but they’re fun to hang out with.
