if you're wondering why bob is here it's bc in the original villareal story there was a very minor background detail that diego lobo and bob pancakes dated in college and broke up tragically and that's where the story peaked. so i included him it's still canon

thank you for these it was so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

i did these in my this is the fall sim style so i'm thinking. if they exist in this universe what's all their opinions on the 'did jacques do it' situation. let's take a look

don: saw a photo of jacques's wife on the news during the investigation. said "whoa mama that's a hot babe!" like johnny bravo and did not read the headline. does not know anything about it still.

vlad: well he's psychic he could figure out the truth if he actually cared. and he has!

olive: obviously respects it. except for the getting investigated part, would never happen to her.

diego: does not think jacques did it but enjoys the tabloids. knows other rich people personally who he thinks have killed their spouses

morgyn: will post things like "friendly reminder that j*cques v*llareal literally killed his wife and is a billionaire so maybe don't go to one of their hotels" on tumblr and will then do a call out post about like a fanfic writer who wrote an unhealthy relationship with more severity

pascal: knows conspiracy theories and this one is bullshit. or maybe it just doesn't interest him as much as aliens and that's why he thinks that

jeb: has a very "well of course he did. them rich folk can do whatever they want. there ain't no hope for the rest of us" while kicking a can down the road approach

bob: thinks he did it. is very alarmed that it was brushed off. eliza's like bob book the hotel and he's like am i going crazy. does anyone hear me.

i swear my stepdad is so illogical AND stubborn it hurts

#okay so strap in coz this is a wild ride #tl;dr we have been without heat and warm water for years and i mean literal years #because he refuses to pay off some debt he built up with the company #because he feels unfairly treated (let's not get into this. it absolutely makes no sense) by the company #so instead of doing the logical step of growing some balls and admitting he made a mistake and paying off his shit #he's been looking for a new supplier all over but the deal IS #that he's been doing this with a couple of places before and people are hesitant to even make him any offers #and you'd think that learning about THAT at least now he'd be like. idk willing to just pay off his debt and be done with it #but you'd be WRONG #now he's looking to just have our entire heating system replaced for the teeny tiny price of 25000 bucks #mind you his debt isn't even a THIRD of that #and obviously he can't afford those 25000 bucks #so what's his next step now you might wonder?#well good thing you asked. his next step is going off on ME for not paying towards the new heating he wants #and now that that's not working for him guess what he did next?#that's right. he bought shit expensive 'space heaters' that are pretty much just small little boxes that you plug into an outlet #and he swears up and down that they're going to heat up our house (it's negative degrees outside)#(it's obviously not working)#and genuinely. all i can think of is how much money he shoved into trying to macgyver this house into a house with warm water and heating #and how he blew off ten thousands of bucks he got paid when he retired within the span of two weeks #when this debt could have been paid off ten times over by now #so now you might be thinking. okay tiago. why don't you move out #good question you see. my mom is disabled and reliant on someone who cares for her #something that he can't won't and shouldn't do because the last time he sorta kinda tried she almost died and we had to call an ambulance #she wouldn't eat a thing if i weren't there to cook. the house would fall into disrepair if i wouldn't do maintenance all around #i've set up (functioning) heat in some areas she occupies and i've gotten a boiler going so she at least has warm water #i'm paying off their bills to make sure he doesn't skip on paying any others. i'm buying groceries for them because again they wouldn't get #any for themselves #and finally. i've offered to pay off his debt so that we can finally live like normal fucking people do #and guess what. guess WHAT. he just got mad at me for not adding money to that 25000 bucks pool for that new fancy heating he wants

Lol my neighbors knocked the power out

They were cutting down a tree and it fell on the lines connecting to their house

Hilariously its the same neighbors that had a tree fall on the lines the last time the power was out

#this is way funnier than when the power just randomly goes out back in Lawrence #i also wanna paint a little picture here cuz i dont wanna take pictures of my neighbors house #but its a little pointy house that looks like it belongs in the swiss alps #idk why i get that vibe from it but thats the vibe it has #they have chickens and i think one of the neighbors said they had a cow at one point #they have a very noisy rooster #we're technically not supposed to have roosters here but the neighborhood dogs are honestly just as noisy so no one gives a shit #the rooster is Extra Loud right now #he apparently is not a fan of all the activity happening around his house right now #the neighbor directly across the street from me has a chihuahua that is also Not Happy with all the activity #looks like they got the tree moved off the lines so now we're just waiting for the power company to come out and reconnect them

im hit sometimes with how desperately i miss my friends and its just...ugh its bad because i know we will never all be together again and thats life but there is that stubborn part of me that doesn't want to make New Friends. It's the novelty of feeling like I belonged for the first time and everything else has just felt...idk. shallow.

I honestly feel a lot better about having posted anything at AO3, even things I won't finish, and there's something that warms my heart about posting fic for The Borgias in 2024.

I was actually deciding between two different WIPs to represent that "phase" between my undergrad years and grad school. The other one was the prologue to a Legend of Korra/Star Wars fusion in which Noatak/Amon is Korra's father and this is revealed in S1 (I think it was going to be Tarrlok who figures it out first, lol) and it actually affects the plot and it isn't just the LOK canon plot with minor adjustments—the fusion with SW was meant to be more than vague I-am-your-father inspiration. In any case, I only ever wrote the prologue about the Noatak/Senna quasi-romance that led to Korra's existence and never even got to the sheer comedy of Korra as Tarrlok's niece :(

But the Juan and Lucrezia as dysfunctional twins one-shot is closer to being a whole fic (in a side-story way) and I did like being able to add one more to my Borgias oeuvre—and getting at least some part of that AU on AO3 after all the time I spent on it!
