10 Tips For Better Travel in 2020
New Post has been published on https://fashiondesigne.com/10-tips-for-better-travel-in-2020/
10 Tips For Better Travel in 2020
My best tips & tricks for your travel plans in 2020. How to get the best deals for your flights, hotels, rental cars and travel gear. Also check my best flights & hotels and destinations of 2019.
1. Find the best flight deals
These are my favourite sites to keep track of flight details departing from the Benelux: Fly4Free Travel-Dealz Flynous For Business & First Class deals, the best site is You Have Been Upgraded. If you’re looking for a particular flight deal, set an email alert via Google Flights to keep track of flight fares. Don’t forget to also check Momondo as they tend to regularly find cheaper or alternative fares.
2. Book hotels at the lowest price
Start your hotel search on a price comparison site, they do the hard work for you! HotelsCombined and Google Hotels Search are my favourites. Tip: Make sure to create an account on HotelsCombined.com and search for hotels when signed in. For some hotels you’ll see secret deals which are only available when you’re logged on.
3. Use hotel discount codes
Compare the lowest hotel rates you found via HotelsCombined.com with the rates using discount codes at FlyerTalk.
If you (or your partner) haven’t used Airbnb before, now is the time to sign-up. Airbnb has temporarily increased the sign-up bonus for new users to €41 ($45) travel credit which can be used for a first time booking of €65 ($75) or more. Even if you don’t intent to make a booking right now, sign-up to secure your travel credit.
4. Earn money booking hotels
In the past two years, I earned more than €2000 (!) with one simple trick: cashback sites. Every time I book a hotel, I check my favourite cashback sites to earn up to 20% back of the money spend on hotel bookings. Here’s how it works:
Create a cashback account Quidco (£10 bonus!) / Mr Rebates
Use cashback search function to find booking site (e.g. Hotels.com)
Click on the link and book your hotel
After your stay, you’ll receive the money in your cashback account
Wire the cashback money to your PayPal account
There’s no difference with booking directly on the hotel booking site or going via a cashback site, except you earn a nice cashback! The cashback sites I use: Quidco (cashback in GBP via PayPal) booking sites Mr Rebates (cashback in USD via PayPal) booking sites
5. Maximize the value of your hotel points
Hopefully you’ve already collected some valuable hotels points with your travels. If not, sign-up for your favourite hotel loyalty programs now and track your accounts via AwardWallet. Once you’ve collected some points, you probably wonder where you can use them and how to get maximum value out of them. You could login to each hotel loyalty program and search for free hotel night awards. But what if you could search all loyalty programs at once? You can! AwardMapper lets you search for hotel awards. Looking for handy maps of all chain hotels? Check Travel is Free for Google Maps of all Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt and Radisson hotels.
6. Always use the right credit card
Some reminders to avoid common mistakes when booking travel and paying abroad.
Always book your travel using a credit card. If the hotel, airline or booking site goes bust you can get your money back. Last year I booked a hotel in Cape Town using Galahotels.com. I had booked months in advance as they offered a really good deal. A few weeks before my stay I learned Galahotels had filed for bankruptcy. I contacted the credit card company and within days the money was back in my bank account.
Always pay in the local currency. Hotels, restaurants, shops and even ATM’s will ask you if you wish to pay in your home country currency. This is a SCAM. If you agree, the terminal will convert the foreign currency to your home country currency and apply a nice markup fee for the business owner. Don’t fall for it and ALWAYS insist to pay in the local currency.
Get a credit card with no conversion & ATM fees. Most debit cards and credit cards charge fees when you make payments in a foreign currencies (conversion fee) or when you withdraw money from an ATM. There are a few exceptions. One of them is Revolut, a free debit card which allows you to withdraw up to €200 currency equivalent per calendar month without any fees.
Find an ATM with no or low fees. On top of the fees charged by your credit card issuer, many ATM’s charge an additional fee to withdraw money. e.g. in Bangkok all ATM’s now charge a 220 THB fee. For other destinations it might help to google in advance to figure our which banks provide ATM’s with no fee or at least the lowest fee.
For euro payments, consider the Brussels Airlines American Express card. You’ll collect valuable Miles & More miles and the card includes travel insurance. Sign-up and get 16.000 Miles & More miles.
7. Plan your trip
I’m a big fan of Wikivoyage, the Wikipedia of travel. For each country, region, city you’ll find a page loaded with practical information ordered in recurring sections (Get-in, Get Around, See, Do, Buy, Eat, Drink, Sleep, …) an excellent resource to start planning your trip. Once I’m at my destination, I use the app Foursquare to get local tips on things to see & do, find good bars & restaurants, etc…
8. Use local transportation apps
Rome2Rio provides you with all transportation options between two points including how much they would cost. For example, it would tell you how to get from the airport to your hotel (train, bus, boat, taxi, uber, …) include the estimated price and even link to the bus, train or boat schedules…. it works like magic! Also don’t forget to install the Uber app and its most popular clones. I frequently use Uber (Worldwide – €5 off first ride) Grab (Southeast Asia) and Careem (Arabic countries).
9. Save on your rental car
Here are 3 ways to save on your rental car:
Use Monondo and Kayak to compare car rental prices.
Get separate insurance. This is where the real saving are. Insurance offered by rental companies is insanely overpriced. Settle with the minimum insurance from the rental company and cover your risk using iCarhireinsurance.com I’ve used them for several years now, and it costs me less than €100 per year to get all my rentals fully insured with no excess. Several of my blog readers and social media followers have reported their positive claim experiences with them. They also have a 4.5 out of 5 score on Trustpilot. Make sure to use Quidco cashback to sign-up for iCarhireinsurance as they offer 21% cashback!
Check alternatives: If you’re looking to rent a car in the USA, Canada or the UK make sure to check the ‘Airbnb of car rentals’: Turo. I used them in Los Angeles when regular car rentals were super expensive. You can find Turo promo codes here.
10. Get the right travel gear
Travel gear should be functional, comfortable and affordable. Here’s my selection of the best travel gear I own.
Samsonite Neopulse Spinner
With most airlines now charging additional fees for checked luggage, it’s essential to select the right carry-on luggage. The Samsonite Neopulse Spinner 55cm is still my preferred travel companion after several years on the road, here’s my review video.
Bose QuietComfort 35 II wireless headphones
If there’s one piece of travel gear I can’t recommend enough to make your flights more enjoyable: noice cancelling headphones! I’ve been using my Bose QuietComfort 35 II for several years now and I would never fly without them.
Travel Pillow Plus
Back in October 2018, I funded the Travel Pillow Plus KickStarter project and it turned out to be an excellent investment for my long-haul economy class flights. The pillow looks ridiculous at first sight, but once you’ve experienced how comfortable you can sleep thanks to the pillow, you won’t care about the looks! Combine the Travel Pillow Plus with Quies ear plugs and a sleeping mask and you’ll sleep as never before in economy class.
Fjallraven High Coast Hike Trousers
Another thing I discovered in the past year are the Fjallraven High Coast Hike Trousers. Not only are they great trousers for my more adventurous trips, they also are super comfortable to wear on a plane. I’m even considering to buy a second pair to make sure I have a replacement when my first pair is worn out!

Ways Of Increasing Passive Income
What is Passive Income?
Passive income is the revenue earned through various channels with minimal effort or daily maintenance on the individual’s part.
Here are few ways on how one can boost his income,
A. Invest in High-Yield Savings
Savings account maybe the most boring of all ways. Try researching the fixed deposit rates with the banks in your country or mutual funds or banks offering special schemes on particular savings account. Leverage your deposited money and gain interest on it.
B. Invest in Lending Club
Google ‘Lending Club’ which is a peer to peer lending platform where investors can earn interest in excess of ten percent per year – about ten times than that of a conventional interest bearing investment.
C. Invest in Kredx
This requires a bit of research and knowledge about the invoice discounting but the returns are huge. Once needs to understand which invoice to buy. Investing a tidy sum in buying few of such invoices would ensure a steady income.
D Rent Your Space
There are portals such as AirBnb, OYO and many regional ones which now enables one to use the space in his house to host a guest and gain income. The rentals at these places are lot less expensive that at usual hotels and a good promotion or maintaining a positive feedback on the ratings would fetch a pretty decent sum.
E. Start a Blog
With content marketing coming up the way and internet penetration growing over time, blogging has come a long way to be a part of one of the most convenient passive income generators. Creating a blog revolving around a particular area, continuously increasing site traffic and in turn leveraging them to generate income by the clicks on page advertisement is one of the most effective ways of generating revenue from wherever and whichever part of the world one is.
One may also look at buying a blog which has considerable traffic and have Google Adsense. Usually a blog sells for 24 times their monthly income which means if the site generates around Rs Rs 8000 /- a month, you may buy it for no more than Rs 1,92,000 /- giving you ready revenue. Some sites have such evergreen content that they keep on generating revenue for years even after they are abandoned.
Try searching for blog buying at Flippa which has few exciting offerings such as,
i. Including everything from small sites to ones that garner millions
ii. Currently has more than 2,000 web-based businesses for sale
iii. Based on a bidding system and fulfilled by Flippa Escrow program to ensure investor’s money and business are safely secured.
F. Create an Online Course or Guide
f. If you are passionate about teaching or keeping in touch with your hobbies, you may gain an extra income by imparting your knowledge to others online. There are plenty of sites such as Qodro.com or teachable.com where you can connect to millions of students and start teaching
G. Get Online Rebates
g. As a penny saved is a penny gained, use online portals such as Skyscanner.com or Hotels.com for your travelling, gain loyalty points and reusing them on your next travel. You may also make payments via Amazon Pay or Airtel App where you get exclusive rebates and cashback and which can be used elsewhere.
H. Use Cashback Credit Cards
h. Research the credit card which has maximum offerings, provides attractive credit points and has tie ups with most number of merchants. A good take home primary income would enable one to subscribe to such a card and gain on the rewards and loyalty programmes.
I. Rent Your Car or Rideshare
If your car is lying idle, you may rent your car to others. You may also use Apps such as BlaBlaCar.com to share your ride with a fellow traveller to the same destination and then charge him for using your car.

Beat Winter SAD: Take A Vacation https://ift.tt/38kadPe
Last winter was really hard, we had one of the coldest seasons in ages, there was ice everywhere, and my arm was messed up. I spent most of the winter inside our house going Marie Kondo through every cupboard and drawer. This winter, I’m determined to find joy in simple things and actively make an effort to warm myself up and beat winter SAD.
Varadero Beach, Costa Rica
I wrote a few posts with ways I’m trying to combat Seasonal Affective Disorder with the hope it will help make our days a bit brighter. Some take a little more money/planning but others you can do at home right now. I’ll update this post with a link to each so you can scroll once they’re live.
Vacation
The easiest way to boost your mood in winter? Take a vacation. I know this isn’t an option for everyone with work/family/finances but if you can do it, it’s so nice. This year, I took a 7-day all-inclusive trip to Cuba with a friend. We have been talking about doing a low-key beach getaway at the start of January for 2+ years and finally did it! Cuba was a good option because we were not going for luxury, our conditions for the trip were affordable, beach, sun.
The beach was beautiful and the sun was hot. The food wasn’t luxe but we managed to eat simple, the main things I ate were bread, rice, fruit, pasta, and eggs. I read an entire book, took heaps of photos, and finished the week well-rested and refreshed. We went to bed early (and sober) most nights. I stuck to Amy’s 1K a day challenge and did some type of activity each day (long walk, dance, NTC). It was just what I needed and a perfect reset to start the year. I feel more creative, inspired, and ready to show 2020 WHO I AM.
I went to Cuba for the first time about 10 years ago and when I tried to blog or access the internet, it was a no-go. If I could access, it was expensive and super slow. Luckily, things have improved a bit! With Telus EasyRoam, I was able to have full 3G/LTE and access my data plan from home for $12/day. It allowed me to keep up on emails and share my vacation via social media.
If you are looking for somewhere to go. Here are a couple of vacation spots I’ve been to and recommend.
Anamaya Resort, Costa Rica
A couple of years ago I took Sean to Costa Rica for a much needed digital detox. I absolutely LOVE Costa Rica, it’s my favourite country to visit (so far). Over the last decade, I stayed at Anamaya Resort twice for a full week of yoga and surfing. It’s located on the southern Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica, Pacific Ocean, near Montezuma, about 30min drive from Santa Teresa. If you are looking for a super relaxing getaway with great organic food, fitness, nice people, and a great vibe, go here. Highly recommend.
All-Inclusive in Mexico
One January, Sean and I spent a week in Cabo at Sheraton Los Cabos Hacienda Del Mar. The resort was really nice, beautiful beaches, buffet, spa, pools, and several restaurants on-site. We rented a jet ski in town, surfed a small beach, and went on a boat adventure. We really appreciated having (pretty good) wifi included in our stay. I’ve also been to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico which has a lot of beautiful resorts. Mexico is a nice winter getaway, just remember to be smart and safe.
Online Deal/Last Min Getaway
If you need to GTFO and soak up the sun ASAP, Cuba is pretty affordable. We stayed at an all-inclusive on the beach that had multiple pools, bars, restaurants. We went off the resort a couple of times to eat and overall each spent ~$100 the WHOLE WEEK. It was not fancy but I was grateful to be in warm air, sun, and sand.
There are some pretty good deals online today for Blue Monday. I highly recommend signing up for Rakuten before buying online because they are partners with TripAdvisor hotels.com, Expedia, a bunch of airways, and car rental companies. Save yourself some $ and get cashback on your purchases. I earned over $200 last year from stuff I bought online (hello, Amazon). I hope you find a good deal! I’m heading to breakfast with Sunwing at YD Square where they’re giving away a couple of trips today.
My next post in this series is STAYCATION and I’m excited to share about our awesome day with Hotel X Toronto this past weekend. Together we can beat SAD!

The Best Travel Credit Cards for 2019

It can be difficult to choose the best travel credit card. There are hundreds upon hundreds out there — and so many of them seem to be the same! Which one is right for you? How do you decide? Which one gives you the best points? Are the fees worth it?
For someone who isn’t deep into the travel the industry, it can be very confusing — and a bit nervewracking — to figure out which card to get.
Let me say this: the best travel credit card is the one that aligns with your travel goals.
Are you interested in loyalty to a brand, free rewards, or avoiding fees? Do you want to milk the rewards and bonus system to get free flights, or do you just want a card that won’t charge you a fee for using it at that restaurant in Brazil? Is elite status the most important perk for you? Do you want points you can use like cash for anything?
Obviously, the airline and hotel cards you’ll pick are going to be based on those you use a lot. For example, I have a Marriott card and a Delta card because those are my brands of choice.
But, for those general points credit cards, are some cards better than the rest for daily use? I think so. If you don’t have any specific goals in mind and are just looking for some you can use in your day-to-day life, here’s a list of what I think the best travel credit cards are, their features, and why and when you should have them.
Note: Once in a while I get new cards if they have a good bonus, but for the most part, I think that you shouldn’t spread yourself too thin.
MY TOP PICK: Chase Sapphire Reserve
For me, this is the gold standard of travel cards. Yes, there’s a high fee but you get a lot of perks (and cashback) that I think this card is worth the fee and it is the card I use the most. When you sign-up for the card, you get:
50,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases
$300 in annual travel credit
3x points on travel and restaurants
1 point per $1 on everything else
The ability to transfer to points to a dozen travel brands (I use this feature the most)
A statement credit of up to $100 for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application
Free Priority Pass lounge access (a super awesome perk)
No foreign transaction fees
When you factor in that $300 credit, you’re really paying only $150 a year. You get 3x on restaurants and travel (which is most of my spending). Combined with the other perks, this is my all-around favorite card and the one I use the most for my day-to-day spending. I think this card gives you the most value for your money, especially if you are a frequent traveler.

Chase Preferred
This card is like the “starter” version of the previous card. You don’t get as many perks, but if you’re dead-set on not paying a high yearly fee (this card only $95 a year), you can’t go wrong with this card. It’s great for the more infrequent traveler (this is the card I got my mother). When you sign for this card, you’ll get:
60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000
2x points on travel and restaurants
1 point per $1 on everything else
No foreign transaction fees
It’s a simple, easy to use card. —-> Sign up for this card by clicking here!
Citi Prestige
I’m personally not a huge fan of this card and I don’t have a lot of Citi cards in general as I’m not a huge fan of their transfer partners. But, this card is great for people who stay at hotels because the fourth-night-free option (even though it’s capped) will cover the cost of this card’s fee right away. Plus, you get a $250 travel credit with this card too. Especially, when used right, you can actually make some money on this card! This card comes with a $495 yearly fee and the following perks:
50,000 bonus points after spending $4,000
5x points on airfare and restaurants
3x points on hotels and cruises
1x points on everything else
Complimentary fourth night at a hotel when booking through ThankYou.com (capped at twice per year though)
Free Priority Pass
$250 travel credit every year
Points transfer to their partners, including 16 different airlines
No foreign transaction fees
I don’t love this card because I don’t use a lot of their transfer partners but if you stay in a lot of hotels and use any of their transfer partners frequently, this is a must get card because it pays for itself and is easy to get points through their spending bonus structure!

American Express EveryDay
I love this no-fee Amex card for the bonus points and the 2x points at supermarkets. I use it when I’m buying groceries because it’s a great way to rack up Amex points. When you sign up for this card, you’ll get:
20% extra points when you use your card 20 or more times each billing cycle
2x points at supermarkets (up to $6,000 per year)
1 point for every dollar spent
Double points on every dollar of eligible travel purchases when you book through AmexTravel.com
It’s simple, it’s easy, it’s a quick way to get points. —-> Sign up for this card by clicking here!
Capital One Venture
I used to really dislike this card but, with the recent changes they made last year and the addition of transfer partners and 10x points on hotels via hotels.com, this is now one of my favorite credit cards. I absolutely think you should get this card, especially if you’re looking for a no-fee, easy to use card. When you sign up for this card, you get:
No fees for the first year, $95 after that
50,000 bonus miles once you spend $3,000 within the first three months
Unlimited 2x miles on every dollar spent
10x miles on bookings via hotels.com
Transfer miles to any of their 10+ travel partners
Up to $100 credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck
No foreign transaction fees
Factor in the free first year and this a card that should be in your wallet. When they relaunched it, I liked it so much I got one myself! —-> Sign up for this card!
Chase Freedom
If you’re looking for something more in the ways of cashback and/or want to stick with Chase points over Amex points, this is the best card for it. It’s simple and easy to use and the cashback points give you more flexibility than points. For a traveler like myself, I prefer points but, for some people, like my dad who doesn’t fly a lot, he’d rather get cashback. So he actually has this card. When you sign up for this card, you’ll get:
No annual fee
$200 cash back after you spend $500 on purchases in your first three months
5% cash back on up to $1,500 in combined purchases in bonus categories each quarter, and unlimited 1% cash back on all other purchases
If you’re like my dad and want a no-fee card that gives you cash back, then this card is for you!

One thing to remember is that there’s not one card to use for all occasions. Each card has its perks, so you want to maximize your point earning by sticking and matching your spending. I use three or four cards for all my spending. Chase for travel and restaurants, American Express for groceries, Delta for travel perks on the airline, and Marriott for my hotel stays. That way I always get the most points possible for every dollar you spend without spreading my points around too much.
So, if you’re looking for a travel credit card, pick one of the above. They are the best in my opinion.

Book Your Trip: Logistical Tips and Tricks
Book Your Flight Find a cheap flight by using Skyscanner or Momondo. They are my two favorite search engines because they search websites and airlines around the globe, so you always know no stone is being left unturned.
Book Your Accommodation You can book your hostel with Hostelworld as they have the largest inventory. If you want to stay somewhere other than a hostel, use Booking.com, as it consistently returns the cheapest rates for guesthouses and cheap hotels. I use them both all the time.
Don’t Forget Travel Insurance Travel insurance will protect you against illness, injury, theft, and cancellations. It’s comprehensive protection in case anything goes wrong. I never go on a trip without it, as I’ve had to use it many times in the past. I’ve been using World Nomads for ten years. My favorite companies that offer the best service and value are:
World Nomads (for everyone below 70)
Insure My Trip (for those over 70)

This is what I do and have been using this for 12 mos to see if it really works. It does. Get Apple Watch 5 for as little as $0/month! How do I get my Apple Watch? I use this program and get a new watch every two years. (This assumes you work out 3 or more times a week! And eat healthy) 1) Sign up and get approved for the John Hancock term policy with vitality. Cost of term policy is 100% offset by the cashback you get in food (up to $50/mo) For me, this is a $500k 10-year term policy at $47/mo. (SO IT’S FREE LIFE INSURANCE). Requires Full Underwriting. - This can be done with me in 20 mins over the phone. You can do as small as a $250k 10yr term policy! 2) Enroll in the vitality Apple 5 Watch program (no data), $25 + tax. I paid out of pocket $46.54 for the Apple 3 at the time. 3) You now must work out 3x a week for the next 24 months. You must “earn” 500 points per month in the program to get a $0 payment. MAX points you can “earn” per day is 30. a. Light Workout /or 5,000 steps = 10 pts b. Standard Workout - 10,000 steps = 20 pts c. Standard Workout – 200 calories = 20pts d. Standard Workout - 30 minutes at 60% max HR = 20 pts e. Advanced Workout – 15,000 steps = 30 pts f. Advanced Workout - 45 minutes at 60% max HR = 30 pts g. Advanced Workout - 300 calories = 30 pts 6) If you miss a points goal for the month you get a bill for: a. $13.50; 0 points b. $11; 240 points c. $6; 360 points d. $0; 500 points If you go to the gym or exercise outside, AND EAT healthy produce, THIS IS FOR YOU. Since you work out 3 or more time per week, you will be at platinum status (ONLY 17% of all policy holders get this, and YOU will be one of them) BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!!! + A FREE one-year Amazon Prime membership when you reach Platinum status three years in a row + 25% off two Hotels.com stays + 15% discounts for REI. + A free 12-month subscription to Headspace®, a top-rated meditation app + Free annual health screening with bloodwork and personalized report from Quest Diagnostics https://www.instagram.com/p/B3kXgVLpC0y/?igshid=1wmezfag1ajn0

What Are The Best Websites And Ways To Find Cheap Hotels?
People may love cheap accommodations and hostel option since they feel it isn’t of much worth to spend too much on a place where you just need to stay for a few hours a day. But one cannot deny the fact that the luxury of a hotel room cannot be matched with any of the former staying options. There is so much to appreciate from comfortable bed to super clean rooms to amazing shower and bathtubs. You can have a relaxing stay in your room and get a respite from your day’s travel. But let’s not forget that to get such privileges; you have to pay an amount that is certainly not cheap. So we will talk about some of the websites that offer you cheaper options to stay at hotels when you go out for a vacation. A booking site is as good as the inventory it holds. Want to know what are the best websites and ways to find cheap hotels? We researched the services of some of the popular websites for booking hotels and we present to you some of the finest from the lot. These websites were used to search hotels in cities like New York, London, Bangkok, Paris, Buenos Aires, and Berlin. The websites were Hotel.com, Expedia, Booking.com, Agoda, and Priceline. The search for the hotel rooms was made for both weekday and weekend booking along with buffer duration of a week and a month to check the varying prices. 1. Booking.com – The Travel fare aggregator
Booking.com turns out to be the winner here. The results for the search returned with the most number of cheap hotels to stay in. And though it didn’t return with the largest number of total options, the major ask here was perfectly taken care of. We got the best deals here and got all kinds of variety and options with booking.com. 2. Agoda- Global Online Travel Agency
Agoda came a close second in the cheap hotel options category but it is still the major player in Asian countries. A couple of other websites like Travelocity and Orbitz are part of Expedia only and thus the inventory is the same. The good thing is that they return a large number of results from the database but prices aren’t really on the lower side. Agoda is most popular to find you the most affordable accommodations in Asian Countries. For the options of blind booking and bidding choices, Priceline and Hotwire can be your go-to website where you can get as high as a 40% discount. The only bad thing about this is that we get to know the name of the hotel only after we make the booking and pay for it. 3. Tricks to find cheap hotels
Image Source: blueswandaily.com You might not have found a cheap vacation package or last minute travel deals or even a cheap flight ticket to your holiday destination but there are still plenty of ways to find and book cheap hotels. For eg.- If you are searching for affordable hotels in Singapore, search for- Best Cheap Hotels in Singapore. Make direct contact with the hotel: Big hotels like Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or Oberoi’s prefer the ones who contact them directly via their websites. It is the place where they often have the best deals. One of the major benefits is that you get loyalty points that help you getting future discounts as you travel more. If you find a cheaper price for their rooms online, they will readily match them most of the times. Make bargaining you forte: One of the better ways to get a discount for a hotel room is by asking for it. Call up the hotels and if you ask them for a better price, they might give you one during their non-peak season and a mid-week booking. Earn loyalty benefits: You can earn tonnes of loyalty points by using hotel sponsored debit cards, credit cards or shopping cards. The accumulated points can be used to get discounts for bookings. Get someone else’s reservation with Roomer: Sometimes when the guests can’t turn out having done the booking and nor can they cancel; the rooms are available in Roomer at discounted prices. Do check out one and you may strike gold. Have gift cards for discounts? : Nothing is as good as having a gift card that can reduce your booking cost considerably. Many sites host gift vouchers to avail discounts and you can check the same for some delightful experience. Find affordable accommodation without causing a hole in your pocket. These websites and tricks to find cheap hotels will help you save a lot of money. Search for coupons and cashback websites: Hotels generally does not provide coupons and offers to their users. But if you search for cheap hotels discount code or hotels coupon code, you will find coupon codes for third-party booking sites like Agoda or Hotels.com that will help you to get a cheaper room. Secondly, you can go for cashback websites as well. If you search for hotels cashback or Agoda cashback, you will find websites offering a specific amount of cashback that you can use for future bookings or you can transfer the cash-backed amount directly to your bank account. For instance, Shopback Malaysia gives you up to 8% cashback on your bookings from Agoda. Always look for inclusive deals: Finding the best deal on hotels is incredibly frustrating.
