Horrortale Sans Headcanon

Sans has a permanent grin on his face. Unlike Before, it’s not just a mask; the makeshift craniotomy Undyne performed on him made it so Sans can’t control most of his face. He expresses emotion through his upper facial structure (like frowning, etc.), but he’s had to adapt to exaggerating body language to get his point across to those who can’t read him like Papyrus can.

There's a Sign on the Wall (Short Story thing)

Warnings: Slight OOC(?), brain not braining, short, blood, violence, mention of famine.

"What about the monsters in the ruins?!" Cinnamon rose from his seat. Empress Undyne examined her claws. She could see the skeleton's horrified expression on her face.

"Ex-Queen Toriel can look after them…" Empress Undyne sat up in her chair. She was upset, but what else could she do? Everyone needed food. The ruins were not as important as the grand majority of the Underground.

"But Undyne, they'll starve! The Ruins are starving! They can't live without rations!" Cinnamon argued as he stared at her. Empress Undyne tensed as she stood. She clenched her spear.

"Then tell Former Queen Toriel to come out of her hole." Empress Undyne reacted angrily. Cinnamon tensed as he locked his gaze on her.

"Some hero you are." Cinnamon snarled, and Empress Undyne tightened her grasp on her spear.

"Excuse me?" Empress Undyne reacted angrily.

"You would starve your subjects because of a personal vendetta! Well, I'm not going to put up with it!" Cinnamon smacked his hands down on the table. "I'm sorry, Undyne, but I do not believe you are suited for being the ruler!" Cinnamon disputed, and Empress Undyne gave him a stern and cold look.

"If you don't watch your tongue, Captain Papyrus, I will remind you of why I am Empress." Empress Undyne snarled back at him. Cinnamon tensed and glared. He held his ground.

"I know it's a difficult job being ruler and I know you are grieving, Undyne, but this does not mean you get to abuse your power." Cinnamon snapped back, and it was the final straw. He and Empress Undyne got into a yelling match, which only became worse when the spear fell on his eye. Empress Undyne had barely a split second to grasp what she had just done when blood splashed onto the ground. Cinnamon recoiled in pain as he held his eye.

"Paps!" Clove had called as he was late to the meeting. He rushed to his brother's side and Cinammon held his bleeding eye.

"Papyrus- I- I'm so-" Empress Undyne began but Cinnamon turned his head away from her. She quickly fixed her composure. "If you had chosen to listen this wouldn't have happened." Empress Undyne hissed out, hoping she'd scare Cinnamon if only a little.

"This famine... Wanna know the best part...? I'm not scared of you anymore..." Cinnamon growled at Empress Undyne as he walked away with his brother. This easily shattered their strong friend bond.

Since mentioned in the poly ask that Queen can’t stand humans even after leaving the underground, howmuch of the rest of the Horror crew is adverse to humans? Is it possible for them to get comfortable among humans or at least find it tolerable?

I think most of them would be hesitant to get close to humans for a time, in order of most friendly to humans to last,

2. HT Toriel

3. Doctor (HT Alphys)

4. Axe

5. Queen (HT Undyne)

Crooks initially avoids humans because of his extreme guilt. He gets flashbacks to the Underground if he was around humans too long. Eventually he got better and decided that in order to rectify the actions he’d done he would work to saving people, instead of killing them! So he’s a nurse now! And quite good with humans, he doesn’t have any problems making human friends or having a human partner.

HT Toriel is next! HT Toriel suffered from a lot of delusions in the Underground. It was the only way for her mind to cope with what happened, so she conjured up this fantasy world where Frisk was still with her and Asgore was alive and everyone was happy.

Eliza escaping (unlike so many of the humans before) broke this delusion and Toriel was desperate to fix it. Post Underground she receives 24/7 care. She’s very, well she’s not dangerous to the humans, but she is very creepy and boundary crossing. For a while she’d panic at the sight of human children leaving. Her mind thinking they were frisk or chara and she would kind of try to adopt any humans who looked ‘down on their luck’ which is nice, but is more intimidating when it’s coming from a giant goat Monster with pointy horns

She gets better, but only with prolonged help from Eliza and mental health care professionals. So she’s not unfriendly, but she’s probably a little too friendly.

Doctor (HT Alphys) doesn’t have much opinion on humans, she didn’t really participate in the hunting of them and didn’t really meet any, not even Eliza until they were all free.

So she doesn’t really care, if a human wants to so badly be friends with her, sure. Though she wouldn’t go for a human partner, if only out of respect and love for Queen

Axe isn’t super friendly, he’s not like Queen who hates humans, but he doesn’t like them. Doesn’t like them because of frisk, doesn’t like how Monsters are treated by them and he doesn’t like how dangerous a cornered human can become.

He certainly doesn’t seem to care for human companionship but I think a human could have a chance as his friend/lover. You just gotta work at breaking those walls!

Now, to Queen. She’s the worst, she outright hates all humans. She views them as dishonourable, backstabbing traitors. You really wouldn’t want to be in a room alone with her.

She’s gotta lot of anger and resentment that’s built up over the years that she’s never been able to really get out, so she takes it out on humans. She doesn’t even like living near humans, so she opts to have her and Doctor live in an all Monster neighbourhood.

There would have to be major high jinxes and adventures for Queen to be cool with a humans
