The Creature from Frankenstein is not handsome.
I'm sorry to deflate a million fanart, but the descriptions in the text of Frankenstein go against the conception of him being handsome. For example, on the top of Chapter V, he is described as follows
His limbs were in proportion, and I had selected his features as beautiful. Beautiful! Great God! His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of a pearly whiteness; but these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with his watery eyes, that seemed almost of the same colour as the dun-white sockets in which they were set, his shrivelled complexion and straight black lips
"Beautiful" here is meant as a bit of irony, contrasting his intent of a handsome creating turning out like the horrific amalgam of dead flesh the body was. As bonus evidence against the Monster supposedly looking pretty, here's one from the final letter, from when Captan Walton finally sees him.
I entered the cabin where lay the remains of my ill-fated and admirable friend. Over him hung a form which I cannot find words to describe—gigantic in stature, yet uncouth and distorted in its proportions. As he hung over the coffin, his face was concealed by long locks of ragged hair; but one vast hand was extended, in colour and apparent texture like that of a mummy.
It's very obvious that the Creature was meant to be beautiful, but because he's made of rotten body parts it came out horrific and uncanny. I imagine he looks like a ghoul from Fallout, honestly.

A Look at Goosebumps Slappyworld (Part 2)
A Look at Goosebumps SlappyWorld (Part 1) Hello, Spongey here. It’s time to finally end a saga. By that, I mean another Goosebumps series. In Part 1, I lined up what we’re doing here so you can visit that to hear all about SlappyWorld. Basically, it’s the follow up to Most Wanted where Slappy gets more stories because he sure needed more. At the time I didn’t know when the series end, but soon…

IF YOU ARE AN INDIE HORROR NOVELIST, SEND ME YOUR BOOK!
Link me to the place to purchase and I will!!!!!! Would love a physical copy if possible, but epubs are fine, too. I’m working on a substack where I will be reviewing indie horror, extreme horror, gothic horror, splatterpunk, etc... and I REALLY want to give special attention to those who are still trying to get their name out there! RECOMMENDATIONS ARE ALSO WELCOME!

Things Have Gotten Worse since we Last Spoke by Eric LaRocca wouldn’t have hit as hard if I didn’t already have abandonment issues and a fear of bugs and parasites.

The Cat & the Full Moon
As I walked out of the house to take the laundry into the basket my dog started barking at what I thought was air or simply nothing on top of the roof of my neighbor's house. I laughed and told my brother our dog was going crazy when in reality, I was petrified; our dog never barks at air. He barks at animals and people, but, surely, never air. I knew something was up. I tried looking onto the roof through the fallen, dead, branches yet I saw nothing.
My brother and I had finished putting the socks and undergarments in the basket and I ordered my brother to take it into the house while I finished up. As I was grabbing the last of the clothes, I heard a meowing. I tried to see where it was coming from and saw a cat perched on the wooden boards that held my mother's grape vine high in the sky. I had a bad feeling, after all, the grape vine was dead from the winter freeze that struck us a few weeks ago and the cat was strange.
It seemed gloomy and childish, like a token of the past coming back for me. Like it was here to haunt me, take me, kill me. It was an adorable cat to say the least, dark grey with yellow, dilated eyes that seemed to be begging me for something. I did not like it. My brother came back and I showed him the cat, he said not to call it's attention or he might get down from where he was perched and the dog might chase him and it simply would not end well.
Once my brother left, I was tempted to go back to see the cat. I had a bad feeling about it however I could not help but smile when I saw it. I thought it was strange how he was looking at me. I left. But yet again, I was tempted to go back. This time I felt my gut telling me to not get near, it was only waiting for me to be alone to take me. It was waiting for me to be alone so no one would come looking for me.
After walking towards the cat but staying a considerable distance from him, I went back inside but not before realizing there was a full moon and wondering if the cat had anything to do with it. Once I was safe in my den, I kept thinking about the cat. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I heard my mom call me to go outside and when I got there, the dark grey kitten was between my mom's feet and I told her the events of before. She brought the cat inside and gave him shelter from the bigger cats and scary dogs.
For days, we kept the cat in a safe haven, giving him food and shelter. One day, the day after I felt like we were neglecting it, he disappeared. Vanished, left no trace, nothing. I felt chills run down my spine, I didn't like it, because now, it had a reason to come back for me.

The Ripper Lives: Jack the Ripper Series I - Into the Black (4/10) is Free to Download on Amazon worldwide until June 23. Always Free on #KindleUnlimited
THE TRAIL OF JACK THE RIPPER LEADS DEEP INTO THE DARK ABYSS
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CRPWWQHW "I scanned every shadow for something I could not name but which crept out of view like an ambush. My partner absently kicked a rock, and the tinkle as it skimmed the ground gave me cause to jump; I turned to face the sound, and something crunched underfoot - a lump of something dry and brittle, like petrified wood - reduced to dust. At that, the lantern tilted slightly, dangling, wavering ethereally in our direction. IT WAS AWARE OF US NOW." From the horror beneath the ruins of an ancient Church to the squalor of an outcast's makeshift shelter to an unlikely Buck's Row home that sounds the alarms of suspicion, the investigators' search for answers takes them on a ride through Hell. Gut-wrenching turns raise the stakes skyward, and, for the team, the pressure cooks. "The crypt's loose stone floor practically shuddered under his weight, and I was left with just a single thought. Was I looking into the face of Jack the Ripper?"
