Cosmere Theorizing Time
If we go with the assumption that each dawnshard represents a group of four shards, and considering we already have dawnshards with the command “change” and “exist”
“Change”, in my opinion, is Cultivation (growth, transformation), Ruin (decay, active destruction, inevitable change) Ambition (the desire to grow & become better) and Reason (motives for change).
“Exist” is Preservation (stability), Autonomy (existing as an individual) and Dominion (amassing control to make something exist), and by process of elimination would also include Honor (preserving oaths/rules). These are also known as the Fascist Shards (half joking).
I propose that the third of the dawnshards is “feel”. This would encapsulate Odium (passionate hatred), Devotion (love & service), Mercy (stems from compassion/empathy) and Valor (bravery).
My fourth potential category is “create”, though this overlaps with “change” they aren’t entirely the same. I see create as Virtuosity (artistic creation), Invention (technological creation), Whimsy (whimsical = fanciful, made-up, created) and Endowment (creating new things through gifts).
#cosmere#dawnshards#wind and truth spoilers#<- minor. but yeah#this is like. me rambling to myself but i decided to post it

Dawnshard theorizing (Wind and Truth Spoilers)
In the Dawnshard novella, the Dawnshard that Rysn gets was contained in a mural that depicted an exploding sun.
"...exploding sun—which was divided into mostly symmetrical pieces. Four of them, each in turn broken into four smaller sections."
Based on this, a lot of people think that the Shards of Adonalsium can be divided into groups of 4, based on which Dawnshard they align with.
In Wind and Truth, we learn that the Dawnshard that Hoid held, put aside, and then took up again, the one that he passes to Sigzil, is the command to Exist. Rysn's Dawnshard is the command to Change. Also, we've finally learned the name/intent of the last Shard of Adonalsium; Reason. So I'm going to try to figure out the Dawnshards and which Shards align with them.
I think Exist is the Command that deals with the act of creation. With that in mind, the shards most likely to align with it are Preservation, Invention, and Virtuosity.
Change is "the will of a god to remake things, to demand they be better." So the Shards that probably align with it are Endowment, Ruin, and Cultivation.
That leaves us with two Dawnshards that we don't know the command of. I think one of them is something related to the concept of Virtue, because Mercy, Honor, Reason, and Valor all fit that concept.
The last Dawnshard probably deals with Emotion, so I'm calling that one Feel. Odium, Devotion, Whimsy, and Ambition all seem like they align with this one.
That leaves Autonomy and Dominion for either Change or Exist. And I don't feel like they fit either one of those. Autonomy could maybe fit with Exist as in "exist apart from others" but I'm not too sure about that. That would put Dominion as aligned with Change, which doesn't feel right.

Ok, I go back to my old notes and... We HAD 15 shards before Wind & Truth
(there's a quote here from late in Wind & Truth, so it's under a cut for courtesy)
Devotion, Dominion, Ruin, Preservation, Odium, Cultivation, Honor, Invention, Endowment, Autonomy, Ambition, Whimsy, Mercy, Valor and Virtuosity
And it's REASON that's the last one?
"We could sense each other. All except a few—like Euridrius, holder of Reason—who had vanished."
But, also, I'm intrigued by Kalaks use of "Fortune". With a capital F..... 🤔. What Does It Mean?

Euridrius, holder of Reason; vanished. …is that the last, missing one? Ambition, Preservation, Ruin, Autonomy, Endowment, Whimsy, Mercy, Valor, Devotion, Dominion, Odium, Cultivation, Honor, Reason… EDIT from later that paragraph: Invention…
Still only 15. Am I forgetting one I should know? I think I am, I’m pretty sure there was only 1 left to name.
ok crabs, crab-frequents & talking chickens, I’m 75% of the way through the brick and at the start of Day Nine, so we’re officially entering the FERAL BOOK GREMLIN time when, due to my experience of me as a person, I know I won’t be sleeping until I’ve read the last 350 pages of this book.
POV TANAVAST HIMSELF, LET’S GOOOOO!!!
