A reference for Gali Homal!  I've loved Animorphs since I was a kid, despite its darker theme. The Hork-Bajir were my favorite species from that series. For a little while I've been wanting to make a Hork-Bajir character. So here's Gali! She is a survivor of the Yeerk War, living in Wyoming on Earth at the Hork-Bajir settlement. After the brief culture shock, she learned about many physical mediums of art that were barely if ever performed among the Hork-Bajir. Being a species of oral and visual arts, singing, stories, dancing, and whatnot, seeing sculptures, paintings, and so many beautiful things she had never even conceived of before led her to take a trip to Hawai'i. In Hawai'i, she sought out the native culture, asking to learn their dancing, and became enamored with Earth flowers after being given a lei.
