With all the physical action in Crowded #9, it got me wondering how the creative team generally depicted the Vita an Charlie when they came into physical contact with one another. The above is not a definitive catalog of such moments, there were a couple that I couldn’t really clip well or are just repetitive (Vita really drags Charlie by the arm a lot,) but you get the point. If it’s Vita engaging, she’s generally dragging Charlie out of or through danger. If it’s Charlie she’s trying to get Vita to loosen up.
It also gave me an excuse to try making something more collage like, overall I like how the border for the Vita one came out. Charlie’s sequences tended to be more dialog driven so it’s less collage-like.
Ro Stein and Ted Brandt continue to be just amazing with facial expressions and laying out action sequences and physical comedy. Triona Farrell’s coloring also is the secret glue to everything.

After abandoning her engagement party in the middle of the night, Olivia Cartwright discovers a fantastical shop that sells the impossible – wishes.
After Hours is Robin's third independent graphic novel, and it's definitely the one she's proudest of. An exploration of family, love, grief, and moving forward, After Hours is a must-read for fans of magical realism.
After Hours is a self-contained graphic novel, written and illustrated by Robin Hoelzemann, and flatted by Holley Mckend. This will be the very first time the comic is available in print. You'll be able to read After Hours in full colour, in a beautiful, glossy A4 book.
If that sounds like your cup of tea, head over to Kickstarter and see if something catches your eye!
