I just think he has a strained relationship with his mom and everything's been about approval that was never given. She put zero stock in him through his life (the point of her saying the piccolo lessons were a waste of time indicates it was prevalent in childhood). Frankly thought he was lucky his grandfather thought he was worth giving control of the lumber company after his death.

They've gradually lost these aspects of his character as the Dragon King thing came to the forefront of his mind which does come out of nowhere because his motivations are never explained.

But even in his first appearance he goes on about the lumber company and his grandfather's legacy, which to me implies fondness or respect for his grandfather. And then says he's not going to let something as stupid as running out of gas tarnish the company or his family name. And by the end of the episode, HJO does a great job of delivering genuine dismay from a character we've seen to be mostly volatile to this point as he moans about the fact that he failed. And even in Magma Comes to the Surface, he mentions specifically 'making his mother proud'.

The point about his mom being the only one that calls him Leonard could be a point that she's the only one he respects, like the Wiki suggest, but given what the mentions of his mom could imply, and the idea that he agreed with Eugene's notion that he was trying to find himself, I think it's the opposite. Like the name holds vaguely negative connotations. (His hatchet says "Property of Leonard which, and this is pulling information out of nowhere, could mean he worked with his grandfather at the Lumber Company prior to his passing, and before he started pushing for Buzzsaw as a nickname).

(Please don't think this is me absolving him of his crimes lmao I'm not I promise I'm just into overanalyzing).

2024 var inte det bästa året… Många konstiga och tråkiga saker hände vilket gjorde att flera gig måste ställas in… KRAKEL ser nu fram emot ett bättre 2025 och har påbörjat arbetet med ett nytt album som beräknas släppas till hösten. .....Let's just say shit hit the fan for me on Thursday and I've gotten REALLY busy....ummmm.....fixing it so I can get back to my normal routine? Is that the best way to describe it (I still have stuff to do, but I'm not longer in "emergency mode")? I haven't picked up any game stuff since then (I literally passed out yesterday night cause I was so tired jfkldsjf). (oh wait, I'm so out of it I misread it as only asking about Ryoji....lol, well I'm talking about him first I guess, )

Going off the one interaction....... Yuri. I prefer Yuri. I already preferred Yuri's Pharos to Aleks' Pharos. I like both as MC.

There's something about Yuri's........Between OG/FES/P and the manga...... But Aleks' Ryoji feels more like it fits the P3 movies (same with Ikutsuki tbh). There's something about THAT portrayal of Ryoji that hits different compared to the other's.

THAT BEING SAID. I'll take Aleks. BUT ONLY if that means we can have Yosuke going back to not sounding as squeaky. TT0TT I can handle Adachi's voice change (feels like he decided to put on a more deranged mask). But Yosuke I want him back to sounding chiller. orz

Um....Aki's ok. I don't mind him. There's something about Liam's voice I prefer BUT, I wouldn't mind the new guy coming back.

Junpei is good (both in general and as a replacement). Keep him (if I have to deal with Junpei again that is)

Mitsu is good. I prefer Tara tho. Nothing against the new girlie, Tara's just one of my fav VAs. (the other VAs I like are Naoto's OG, Laura Bailey, Lily Vonnegut, Jamie Marchi, Kristen Bell, David Gallagher, and KH1!Haley Joel Osment, Santino Fontana...something about their cadence makes my brain go brrrrr but like for diff reasons)

Speaking of Brrrr, I really like Yuko's and Shinji's a lot.

Both old and new Shinji are great. Love them.

Love the new Ken. I never hated his OG, and Cindy did a good job too. But the new one is really good.

Fuuka......she's cute (I'm more annoyed that they didn't add to her at all so far :'D thanks atlus). I miss the OG one. Wendee Lee did great too (she always sounded like a higher pitched ver of the OG to me).

I think I liked both Natsuki's VAs? I do miss the old one. I can't recall the new one's voice atm TT0TT

I think the thing that irks me about the new voices are.......the new voices for the already existing secondary/background chars (chars who were never voiced before? no problem). I. DON'T. LIKE. THEM.

"Oh but it's cool to hear!" or "We need Yuri to still get a check" I don't care. I don't like it. It's weird. It's weird hearing P3MC's voice coming out of Yukari's dad ("oh like Aki's is any better?" AKI ISN'T A LOVE INTEREST FOR YUKARI OUTSIDE HC! TT0TT)

I hate that they swapped Mitsu's dad and Kurosawa. Did they eat? Yea, they did great. Does it bother me because I find it COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY???? YESSSS!

My 9/11 is the damn principal's voice being changed. oh my god, it's not the same. He was so perfect in the OG, he was bumbling it just.....god it worked. The new guy.....doesn't give the same doddering vibe. man orz (I know most people are coming for the new Aki guy, or someone else, but man I'm very annoyed by the NPCs being changed orz)

I think one of THE BIGGEST issues I have with them just....redubbing the whole damn thing is (MORE SO the side NPCs than the main cast).....just how costly that must've been. Like stupidly costly, like they didn't need to do it. It was just wasting money kinda costly. Like they coulda used that money for something else, like I dunno....PUTTING THE FUCKING ANSWER AND FEMC IN????? >_> *inhales* I know I know I KNOW. Before you say it. Before my lil strawman I talk to in my head says it. The english localization's funds were probs separate from the JPN devs funds. Ummmm.....tldr; Liked some, loved some, was eh on others, hated the existing side NPCs got new voices. All in all I think it was probs a waste of money tbh. Don't do it again for the inevitable P4 remake. (P1/2? sure there's not a lot of dubbing in that one anyways)

I've lost count how many Straightforward Mitts by Mone Dräger I've knit now. But it's just such a good pattern. Partly because they fit almost anyone, they're so stretchy, and partly because they're so fun and simple to kit. Although this time I added extra fiddle with the fingers.

While on the crafter's fair in Hjo, I bought this yarn from akerbergsstash (on Instagram) since Tob really loved this colorway, and he's always in need of some mitts.

It's 50/50 merino/silk and I'm definitely a little bit in love with this base. Also, the color is just amazing with all the little shifts and dots of colors. Been admiring it at every round. And it wasn't as hard on my hands to knit with as I feared with the silk in there. But I say this, coming from a summer where I've almost exclusively knit with linen and cotton, so maybe I'm just used to it now? Idk.

Anyway, definitely want to knit some garment in this one day.

Hi, I finally got around to look up the sources and copy them that were the direct inspiration for the fic.

First of all some general background on the meeting of Karl and Ulrika in Vadstena from Ragnhild Hatton: Charles XII, p. 442f:

A meeting with Ulrika Eleonora had been much discussed during the summer, and Vadstena - one of the palaces of the late Queen-Grandmother - was picked on as not being too distant for Ulrika and more or less en route for the King's own move south for the time when he thought invasion possible. The meeting with his 'dear sister', Charles wrote to Frederick, might have to be shorter than he would wish - perhaps the military situation would permit only a single day - but he was not prepared to sacrifice this opportunity to see and speak to Ulrika unless Frederick summoned him urgently to Scania. If this should happen, he implored Ulrika to remain at Vadstena that he might take the next opportunity of a visit - Stockholm was too distant.

Neither Frederick, nor the war, put obstacles in the way and brother and sister spent the Thursday and Friday of 30-31 August together. Charles did not bring adjutants with him and we have little factual information of his stay at Vadstena except from Ulrika's letters to her husband and a reference to the emotional impact of the meeting which she penned in her 1740 comments for Nordberg's history of Charles XII. We know that the King left Major-General de la Gardie in command of the border troops on 26 August and rode over Strömstad, Uddevalla and Vanersborg to Hjo on lake Vättern. He was rowed across the lake in heavy rain, rode the last few miles completely alone and was able to take Ulrika 'by surprise' as he had wanted to do since December 1715. His cape was dripping wet, we hear from one of Ulrika's ladies-in-waiting, and the little court was thrown into a joyful confusion at his unannounced arrival.

There may have been a childish element in Charles's wish to take 'by surprise', but privacy was probably the dominating motive. Charles knew that the reunion with his only remaining sister would affect him deeply. Ulrika noted that they both cried and that Charles found it hard to control his emotion when they talked of their parents, of Hedvig Sophia and of the family life they had once shared: his voice thickened and the tears were never far away when the mother's name was mentioned. They got on surprisingly well together considering the readjustments, partially achieved by correspondence, necessary after an interval of sixteen years in which the 'baby' sister had become a mature woman.Charles won Ulrika's heart during their long talk alone on Thursday evening by praising her husband and his brave services to Sweden. The next day had to be a more public one. They listened to the Friday sermon preached by one of the court chaplains, and Charles must have seen something of Ulrika's ladies-in-waiting (all old acquaintances) since he sent greetings to them by name in his first letter from Lund.
