WEEKS in some cases #or we get anons who tell us the reason we dont have notes are because we arent good at gifmaking in the first place #but this is all on anon. because they're too scared to tell it to our faces #they're too scared for us to see that they ARENT a gifmaker and that they dont know how to do it any better either #they dont see us as people doing something we love as a hobby. they see us as content machines that dance like court jesters #im just so fucking tired of the disrespect #and this sentiment goes for more than just gifmakers. graphicmakers. artists. literally any creative hobby shared on this site #we get treated like shit and for what? literally for fucking what.

The brain rot is nearly a decade old!#I do recommend looking through the link on 'Dungeon Meshi' - that's the whole chronological tag of the art I've done so far.#Ryoko Kui is a huge art inspiration and I honestly feel like I got a *lot* better after drawing her characters.#Probably because I was looking at more references than I normally do but hey! Progress is progress!#Dungeon Meshi updates kept my deeply depressed ass alive in the darkest moments.#Now it's responsible for being something that got me noticed by the person who made Nico the catboy.#I think I might actually be a bit more known *for* the Dungeon Meshi art than the MDZS content at this point.#When season two comes out I *will* be back for Thistle Thursdays.

Okay I’m going to say it, some of y’all treat the KOTLC tag like it’s a tumblr community instead of an organization system that gathers together everything people post and tag as KOTLC

#still... I am not joking.. every time I post things like this it is so hard to narrow them down #I am almost as obsessed with the sky as I am with cats. I have a folder of just cloud pictures with like 650 photos in it right now #I don't post them all because I think it'd seem repetitive probably but just know... lol #that could be an entire blog or something.. hundreds and hundreds...#Like the same way that I cannot explain my obsession with cats or why they've imprinted into my brain so heavily - clouds are the same way #anyway.. .still have the costume photos and stuff like that I just havent edited and posted yet lol.. I am the type of person that could legit like. write and produce and direct and complete a movie #that will be million dollars shown in theaters or something and I would forget to mention it anywherte until like 5 months later and go 'oh #uh .. oh yeah.. i should post about that online somehwere probably.. oops' . Cursed with the 'forget about everything once it's complete'#trait. Like the way my brain works is just like. once I finish something I'm immediately like 'cool! onto the next thing!!' without processi #ng what i just did. just had the experience of succesfully sounding out แว่นกันแดด in my head, recognizing those sounds ("waen kan daet") as something i'd seen in transliterated script, confidently going "zonnebril!", and then seeing it translated as sunglasses and going wait?? that was wrong?? for a whole two seconds before remembering that no, those words actually do all fit into the same mold, i was just pouring a different language into it by accident

#i made a pancakes-for-dinner sort of sunglasses when they should have been pancakes-for-breakfast sunglasses #is there a paper somewhere on third or fourth language acquisition through a second language? i bet there is. there should be #anyway. there is this (anecdotal? but i assume widely shared) phenomenon i've been thinking about a lot #in which a person hears (or says or thinks) some words. two seconds pass. they can't remember what language the words were in #you remember the content just fine! but the way it got to your brain? who knows #happened to my mother recently when we watched a dutch movie and afterwards she recalled it as 90 minutes of english #because there was a gun in it. which felt american to her #happened to ME recently too in fact. when i had to think hard after being told the boy and the heron had english subtitles in our theater #as we were walking out of the theater!! and the only way i got to a place of going hey yeah! was by remembering a moment #while watching the movie. of consciously going 'huh they chose to translate some of this japanese as 'ain't'. interesting'#and ain't ain't dutch!! definitive proof they DID show that japanese movie with english subtitles in our dutch theater!!#this wall of tags isn't (ain't) going anywhere except. i think the zonnebril confusion is a version of this happening but maybe. like.#with a faint zonnebril echo still in my brain. sunglasses sounds different but for a moment there i didn't realize that's not because #it's a different concept. but because i had pulled the wrong language string attached to this one concept. or something #*#you know what sometimes i kid myself into thinking i don't think about language much more than the average person #but then i look at myself and my half-remembered linguistics degree and every hobby i've ever had and i go hm. hmmmm

finally got around to watching dragon ball super hero and

What is literally any liveblog post if not an “unrequited opinion” on what is happening on the show?? I tag all of my posts that are even slightly negative with a negativity tag, I have a specific tag for when I live-blog, I post content warning tags, and I’ve posted disclaimers about all of the above before. I also don’t tag any asks that are negative (or even usually non-negative ones) with the full show title so they won’t show up in the tag search.

If people don’t want my opinions, positive or negative, imposed on their feed - tumblr has a handy filter option where they could put any or all of those tags so they wouldn’t have to see them. Or again, blocking me is an option.

If the show tag was supposed to never have any negativity at all in it, y’all should really talk to the tons of accounts I’ve blocked in the past three years because of their aggressive hate on TK, or all the people who shit on Owen every episode (I’m sure you could find a few live-blogs from this past episode very easily for this one), or all the people last week who were angry about Marjan leaving, etc… I could go on. I don’t understand why this is suddenly an issue now just because I made a liveblog post discussing how I dislike Carlos with guns being drooled over?? … this is not some wild and harmful take that people need to be protected from.
