When I worked at DEC in the 80s we had these HP 7580 pen plotters, absolute monsters that could do color plots on D-sized drafting paper, which is an enormous 22x34 inch work area. Slow but super cool to watch in action, and the results had that vector display accuracy you couldn't get on regular printers of the time.
(To be honest though what I saw it getting used for most was plotting gate array layouts for chips we were designing, so people could hang them in their office.)

Weird Al Fact #62:
The crowd shown in the It's All About The Pentiums music video was comprised entirely of real Hewlett Packard (now known simply as HP) employees. As were Al's backup dancers.

Somewhat poetic that Hewlett-Packard might get name sponsorship of Scuderia Ferrari
After all, much like Ferrari, HP as we all know presents the gold standard for reliability and efficiency 💀

I’m doing great. Now every time I’m kicking the HP printer in the office, I’ll rest easy in the knowledge that my favourite F1 team is soon to be powered by the same technology

Keyboard Rant
I'm sure no one who works in office procurement will ever see this, but STOP BUYING OFFICE SUPPLY BRANDED OFFICE SUPPLIES. I have 20$ 'gaming' keyboards that would probably still work if I threw them through a wood chipper but every single HP, dell, logitech, and other "office brand" keyboard I've ever used (with the exception of 2 specific models of microsoft keyboard) has broken at the slightest provocation. Keys stick, if you type faster than like 30 wpm the whole thing bursts into flames... it's a nightmare.
I shouldn't have to keep "replacing" work equipment with aftermarket knockoffs of aftermarket knockoffs because office purchasers are allergic to any keyboard with an actual switch.
I'm not even writing that much.. I'm a coder.. I'd hate to imagine if a work keyboard had ti survive my fic writing 'yield'
...Yes I just burned through another HP keyboard... I have to see if I still have my backup mechanical somewhere in this apartment. It has blue switches and sounds like machine gun fire but at least it f**king works.
