This little man took his first pinky today! 🐍 No hesitation whatsoever, either. When he was done with that, he ate a nano frog link, too! (Pictured: Astarion several hours before feeding; he is much fatter in the middle now)

For anyone wondering what I do with my life, this is some of it! My only clutch of snakies this year, was not expecting any albinos so that was a pleasant surprise! Their mom is Hershey, my biggest and hissiest girl, so I won't be surprised if they also have plenty of sass.

Western hognose snakes, they hatch about the size of a fat earthworm. I'll probably keep one of the albinos, especially if one's a girl, but the rest will be available once they start eating reliably (Canada only, sorry).

This last albino to hatch has brown/non-albino spots which make me suspect it's a paradox! My Kenyan sand boa has paradox spots but they're very clean looking compared to these. Maybe because of the keeled scales on a hognose that the effect is different? Either way I'm super excited, this one is definitely a keeper!
