The Dionne Quintuplets were the first recorded quintuplets to survive infancy. Two are still alive! They were born on May 28th, 1934 in Corbeil, Canada and after being offered to be incubator babies in exhibition fairs, were made wards of the Canadian government...and were still exploited as attractions, such as in the movie Five of a Kind (1938). In 1997 the 3 surviving sisters won a settlement of $4 million from the Ontario government as compensation for their exploitation as children.
