I know it sounds like platitudes when I say #that everyone was super nice and talented but REALLY. People were so kind to me and somehow I became well known despite #my art and writing and me in general still being immature and hashtag cringe #I found my creative legs and #people would respond to my stuff with walls and walls of support in the tags and we would do exchanges and events every year #I made my first lyric comic and it’s still doing extremely well on YouTube even today!! my dad who passed away recently always loved it #and my favorite RvB writer came out of hibernation to write me a bunch of text wall asks about it #I’ve never had another fandom experience quite like RvB #I still keep in touch with many of my friends from that time period even though we’ve all moved on the other things #these guys will always always have a place in my heart #so long reds and blues….

#fjdkfdjkfd.#anyway. last week a trailer came out for something only called kidnap. which is hilarious because that's a blocked tumblr tag #it's a romance (with the kidnapper. who is secretly only doing it to pay a medical bill). i don't think it sounds or looks very good #& considering who is airing this and their history with Edgy Content the keyword here will probably be Bland. or maybe Toothless #but unfortunately...... tragically...... one of the leads is an actor i'll take in literally anything.#so i've spent my week periodically being attacked by this insignificant bit of knowledge and experiencing shrimp emotions #literally just. going about my day. thinking 'kidnap'. going OOF. then remembering i'm in the middle of brushing my teeth #also. i found out the original writer of bad romance & together with me is ALSO the writer of not me. and it's things like this #that would take like. twenty layers of explanation of these properties in general and also my takes on them specifically #and how it contrasts or aligns with their general perception. to even come CLOSE to explaining the mental hit i took from that #i need a corkboard and some red thread. and then probably three more corkboards #for day 1 that is. i think i have a week's worth of loosely connected spontaneous deep dive video essays i could do off the top of my head #ah well. the curse of having interests #*

Hey. Sorry about the inactivity, but pretty sure no one cared that much anyways lol. Been a looooong time since I kept that distant from Tumblr…at least now I know I’m able to survive without checking posts every day/being chronically online! I’ve got an intense love-hate relationship with this lifestyle I’ve dug myself into. Think I’m getting a little bit better with the balance even if school isn’t really giving me an option. I've been spending a bit of time essentially dredging this blog and in the process realised I was inactive for quite a long time lol.

So hi! I'm Bel, or Tea (23, she/they, UK). I originally used this account like ten yrs ago as a toonblr and ask blog (tea-leaf-ask), before basically getting caught up with schoolwork, getting sick, and leaving when I started uni.

Some five/six yrs, two degrees + two broken arms later and! I'm back. Going to post art here (@bibelots is my main + where I'm most active). I also post art on IG .@whatsbelscribbling. If ppl want to send asks they can (below).

i think i officially set my sights on a therapist and i'll be contacting her very soon?? therapy was legitimately not on my 2024 bingo card (or in the cards for me at all) but here we are????

#this blog always had a focus on social science and detangling feelings and experiences. like it's basically been serving as my diary #bc this blog has always been my main outlet for it. i hate talking feelings to anyone irl. it's a bad habit but i hate it #so it was a game changer and helped me grow up sooo much. esp supplemented w other people's experiences.#being raised by a stoic engineer mother who's very much warm but also not very good at feelings at times has caused me to suppress SO much #compounded w being the eldest daughter. like that is a damning sentence in and of itself #tumblr just gave me an outlet for stuff like this. and every social media is essentially a highlight reel of ppl's best moments.#tumblr is the opposite. i've always loved that too whether it was in the form of humor or more earnest posts #could i work through my own issues by myself? yes probably #and my blog will always have that facet even if i get a therapist #but a therapist's input. just a professional's input. will expedite a lot of improvement for me i think #this has been a critical time period for me anyway bc i'm budgeting my whole schedule for once vs being handheld by uni deadlines #and it's just gonna keep getting more and more intense from here bc i'm truly pushing my comfort zone more than ever before #it just feels like the right call even tho i'm lowkey nervous ab it bc i HATE talking feelings in person.#this therapist will not fall for my trying to deflect by asking her about her life. which. usually works on my friends <3 #we will see. a therapy arc is coming very soon basically #p
