Goat Milk Soap
This soap is made with the cold process method, and I’ve found it to be a really soothing recipe. I hope you enjoy it!
Tumblr media
Ingredients:
3 ounces almond oil
10 ounces olive oil
6 ounces palm oil
2 ounces castor oil
10 ounces coconut oil
3 ounces shea butter
1 ounce beeswax
4.91 ounces lye
12 ounces goat milk
Instructions:
Prepare the goat milk by freezing for a few hours until it reaches a slushy consistency
Add the lye to the partially frozen milk and stir until completely blended. Set it aside in a safe place where it won’t be contaminated
Measure your oils, butters, and beeswax and melt over low heat until completely melted and heated to 140 degrees. Set aside to cool
Prep your soap mold and any color or fragrance you are using.
When the milk and oils have cooled to about 110 degrees, pour the milk into the melted oils and blend using a stick blender
Mix until the soap thickens slightly and a trail of soap rests on top of the batter instead of immediately sinking into said batter
Add desired fragrance or color, stirring in by hand.
Pour into soap mold, gently smoothing out top. Place in fridge or freezer to avoid cracking
Release the soap from its mold after 24 hours (cut into bars if not in a special mold) and allow to cure for 2 weeks before using

Getting in a few last loaves of soap before I run out of curing time for Sherwood. Yesterday’s turmeric ginger orange loaves turned out really nice; wasn’t sure how deep the color would be but I’m pleased with it. I imagine it’ll fade a little as it cures. I think I’ve got time for one more batch, a Cambrian blue clay bar using sea water I brought home from Greece.

Saffron Soap: The Best Companions to Your Skin
Tumblr media
Saffron soap is one of the most trendy products in the skincare world infused with luxury and natural goodness. Because the essence of saffron penetrates this soap, people have attributed its benefits to the enhancement of skin radiance, texture, and removal of common dermal complaints. Herbovibe, the brand you can count on for natural skincare lines, brings to you saffron soap that helps turn your day-to-day skincare activities into a pampering ritual. Let's now learn why saffron soap is the best friend your skin needs and how it really revolutionizes the game of skincare.
Magic of Saffron in Skincare
What is Saffron?
Saffron is also referred to as "red gold." It is a spice extracted from the flowers of Crocus sativus, which are highly delicate in nature. Due to its properties as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent, saffron is used in the prescriptions of traditional medicine and beauty treatments. Herbovibe imports the best quality of saffron for providing unmatched quality products of skincare.
Benefits of Saffron on Skincare
Saffron is bursting with skin benefits. It brightens the skin, fades dark spots, and smooths the complexion. And since it is a natural treatment for blackheads and whiteheads, it has been mild care to sensitive skin. All these benefits come together in the combination of the saffron soap and a soothing herbal blend to care for and protect your skin every day.
Why Saffron Soap is Different
A Natural Alternative
Saffron soap is the most natural and safest alternative in the world of chemical-based skincare products. Herbovibe soap is organic; thus, perfect for all kinds of skin types including sensitive skin.
Full of Goodness
Herbovibe saffron soap contains the mixture of saffron and other nourishing ingredients like turmeric and sandalwood to enhance its properties in cleansing, hydration, and rejuvenation.
Daily Luxury
It is more than just cleansing. The rich lather and delectable fragrance make your daily skincare routine turn into spa-like indulgence.
Benefits of Using Saffron Soap Daily
The complexion gets improved along with achieving brightness. Saffron soap is said to add radiance and color to your skin. It gradually fades off the unwanted dark spots and blemishes, and ultimately, offers even color all over the body. Herbovibe's Saffron Soap softens yet powerfully allows the skin for a radiant, youthful glow. Deep cleans without letting moisture of the skin get affected Unlike the harsh soaps that take away the moisture content from your skin, saffron soap deeply cleanses the skin without allowing dryness. Herbovibe works to ensure its saffron soap is positively hydrated enough to provide soft, gentle, and well-nourished skin post-wash.
Anti-aging Signs
Antioxidants fight free radicals present in saffron; mainly, these are causes of early ageing. Therefore, the Herbovibe Saffron soap would help to minimize fine lines and wrinkles, helping in reduction of dullness to end up as being more youngish and fresh.
Fade scars and acne marks
The saffron soap fades the scar marks as it drowns the pimple mark. The infusion of saffron by Herbovibe in its herbal blend helps regenerate your skin cells in order for you to create the flawless finish.

Natural Soap Coloring Techniques
All of these coloring techniques can be used in all methods of soap making (hot process, cold process, melt and pour).
Tumblr media
Clay
Adding clay to your soaps can give them an extra slip that can be beneficial for shaving. Clay can also make your soaps harder and denser, making them last a bit longer.
Red and Pinks:
French Pink Clay
Moroccan Red Clay
Greens:
French Green Clay
Herbs
Plants are incredible for coloring your soaps!
Powdered leaves can also be added to the soap batter, the lye solution, or the melted oils for a grainier look to your soap (you’ll need to powder the roots, leaves, berries as finely as possible if you choose to use powdered herbs for your soap).
Teas can be substituted for a portion (or all) of the water within a soap recipe. This will color the water, which will add color to the soap without the extra powders/speckles of other techniques.
However: Expect most herbs you add to soap to turn a brownish color over time. Rarely do they retain their vibrant original color through the saponification process
Browns:
Clove
Cinnamon (can be irritating for some people’s skin)
Red and Pinks:
Madder Root
Greens:
Nettle Leaf Powder
Yellows:
Calendula Petals
Pumpkin Puree
Purples/Blues:
Blue Cornmeal
Black:
Activated Charcoal
