I have a weird reading spot that I’ve come to love: the edge of my bed. I’ll open the curtains, make sure the window is open, prop some pillows against a throw blanket, and sprawl across the edge of my bed. It’s so comfortable and cozy. I never expected to love reading there as much as I do! 🤗📚
Also, I have a pretty big stack of currently reading books and one of those books is A PLACE CALLED PERFECT by Helena Duggan! It’s a middle grade book about a girl who moves with her parents to a small town called Perfect where everything appears to be weirdly perfect...except for the fact that everyone is blind. It’s surprisingly spooky and I am hooked! 📖
Do you have an unconventional reading spot? 🤔📚

Theres this book im reading called "A Place Called Perfect" by Helena Duggan and i have to say... it oddly reminds me of Sally Face and the tea. Addisons tea and the Archers tea have alot in common because the tea is used as a distraction (lets say that for now) from whats really going on behind the scenes! lemme know if you have read the book and/or played the game!

A Place Called Perfect (Helena Duggan)
Tumblr media
Who wants to live in a town where everyone has to wear glasses to stop them going blind? And who wants to be neat and tidy and perfectly behaved all the time?
But Violet quickly discovers there's something weird going on – she keeps hearing noises in the night, her mum is acting strange and her dad has disappeared. When she meets Boy she realizes that her dad is not the only person to have been stolen away...and that the mysterious Watchers are guarding a perfectly creepy secret!

The Great Autumn Book Haul of 2017.
Check out the new books currently gracing my ever-growing TBR pile...

Greetings, friends… long time no see! You may have noticed that it’s been rather quiet around these parts, which is mainly attributed to me starting uni. I’m having a great time, learning a lot, but still slightly struggling with that work/life/uni/blog balance. This is a process though, a journey, and with a couple of events coming up and post ideas up my sleeve, hopefully I’ll be more active on…

The Battle for Perfect (Perfect #3) - Helena Duggan
Rating: ★★★★★     Pages: 352   Read: Jan 8th 2020
Things are quiet in the town that used to be Perfect until Violet and Boy uncover more trouble brewing. Five scientists are missing and Town is about to be taken over by a huge zombie army. Can Violet and Boy save their friends? It's a matter of life or death! A highly charged finale to the series that began with A Place Called Perfect.
| Book 1 Review | Book 2 Review |
I adore this trilogy and the fact it has ended has made me sad. But hopefully I can help someone else experience it for the first time.
These are kids books, which mean they are easy and fast-paced reads. The story grips you instantly and characters are beautifully written to keep young minds engaged. Violet is a funny and relatably character who I adore.
