What if I'm the Monster?

(Based on Monster from Epic the Musical, it's incredible, give it a listen)

So! For the past few years, Danny has done nothing but defend Amity Park from Agressive Ghosts, Lunatic Ghost Hunters, and the GIW, all on his own. But no matter what he does, he is always seen as a Monster by the people of the town, just for being a Ghost.

Over the years he has lost a lot.

His Best Friend. His Mentor. His Mom.

Tucker was caught by the GIW and arrested for helping Phantom, and was never heard from again. His Parents still visit the Mayor's office for any word of him, but no one has any idea what happened.

Danny and Clockwork had a falling out after Danny refused to go down his intended path. He wanted to live his own life, one not predetermined by a Time God. Clockwork had told him that he would regret the decision, and left.

And his Mom had died after discovering his secret. She had surprisingly accepted him, but then the GIW had tried to capture him and she decided to defend him, and she got caught in the crossfire.

Every time Danny tried defending the people of Amity Park, he was vilified and hated even more. He would never be a Hero in their eyes, he was no Justice League. He had lost so much just defending them, but he couldn't bring himself to resent them, they didn't know what they were doing, it was how they were supposed to think. He still needed to defend them.

But he could no longer do so acting as the Hero.

Being a Hero stopped him from raiding the base that he assumed Tucker was being held in. Being a Hero led him to disagreeing with Clockworks advice. Being a Hero led to his Mom's death.

So he would be The Monster, instead.

I was in the middle of brainstorming with Madra (nickname i have for @gliphyartfan ) and as I was rambling with her I just had a thought.

How many years would pass before they meet Ava?

Cuz like, if you're gonna look at canon, they're just ACQUAINTANCES so far. They all met slowly by pairs, and as they go along together, they slowly met the rest, until eventually the start of the LU comic finally happens.

But even then, even with the unknown amount of time they all spent with their partners before they met the rest of the group we know them by now, none of them know what had happened to the other during their journeys. I'm talking about very intimate and personal stuff. They could joke some references about it but the full deets? Zipped, locked in a chest buried to the ground 12 feet under.

They're still trying to adjust as they all go on this quest they have. Theyre treading carefully about pasts and secrets and doing their best to be all buddy buddy without risking accidentally setting off sensitive things within the group. Heck, they'd rather not reveal any of them at all.

Why am I mentioning this? Cuz in fanon, we write the chain as if they're very, very close. It's like a lot of time has passed and they all went through a lot of stuff together that theyre all brotherly bonding and everything. Altho ofc this could vary between AUs and stories, the general, majority of what ive seen is that the chain are much closer already than they supposedly are in canon. And this extends to the (yandere) LU x reader community (i think).

I will admit I myself have gotten used to the chain being really close, that theyre like a family and share each other's burdens. So sometimes reading the comic gives me a raincheck cuz theyre still at the acquaintance stages IHSRIUGFRTH That said it's not bad if theyre closer in fanon. I like them when theyre closer. And honestly it's preferrable if they are closer and not acquaintances. Cuz my content will eventually go on some yandere harem themes, one heavily inspired by @gliphyartfan and @yanderelinkeduniverse kind of yandere harem as the chain. Where basically the chain would be united to protect and love darling and put aside their rivalries and whatnot for her sake. If I followed canon and theyre just acquaintances, theyre less likely to eventually unite cuz they dont know these people that well yet, and worse it may destroy any possible future family brotherly bonds they would have. So yeah to make this yandere harem work they gotta at least be closer than canon.

So since I made my decision, it begs the question I just asked earlier, but maybe I should word it better: how much time would have to pass enough for the chain to get close enough before they reach Ava?

It MAYBE would sound like a stretch, but I'm GUESSING it'll be 2-3 or 4-5 years.

Bcs think about it; in canon theyre only acquaintances so far and they JUST learned about Twilight being Wolfie. Legend being a bunny, Four being able to split, those were revealed to only one individual. Theres still secrets not revealed yet and especially big revelations like Sky possibly blaming himself for being the reason the heroes, like him, will be living forever to save Hyrule but suffer a life of loneliness and loss and possibly trauma, or that Time also caused another timeline where he failed to save Hyrule.

Do you think all of the secrets, all of the trenches that every hero has went through, would all of that happen in one year? With how well guarded they are and how theyd rather not talk about their secrets almost forever? No soul to reveal it to?? Well some probs wants to share a lil but the fact of the matter is, is that theyre gonna be vulnerable and theyre gonna open up. But its gonna be a while so really, they cant know each other well enough in one year. In one year, at most, it would be the times during the start of LU Comic and so far and it's not enough I think that they would be sharing burdens and pain and whatnot. Theyre comfy with each other, they cant rlly be that intimate or close about trauma or deep personal secrets just yet. They throw little references of secrets here and there, but the full details are locked in.

So If theyre gonna know each other, like how fanon interprets them in majority of the fanfics, or in the PROCESS of getting to know each other, itll take at least 2-3 years. But it could also possibly more than that. They have a whole package of secrets and things they went through they carry around individually, and there might be some secrets that will never get to be revealed in the end. 2-3 years are the LEAST amount of years that gives them the time to know enough secrets like Legend being a bunny, Sky blaming himself and so on. Not all of the revelations or secrets will be revealed, heck said secrets I used as examples may not BE the kind of secrets that will be revealed during those times or, maybe even AFTER several years have passed they still randomly learn things about the other heroes, but at least in 2-3 years its enough for them to know or have some chunks of ideas of what some or most the rest went through in their adventure. If 2-3 is not enough it could go 4-5 years depending on how much I want to be already revealed KHSIUHKUSUHFK

SO, basically, what's gonna happen is that, the chain will be going for about 2-3 years before they meet Ava. Meaning, they're gonna be aged up.

Which would mean everyone would be in their early twenties or mid twenties, and Wind.. might reach tweens??? I forgot the term IUDHGIUSGHFISF

Im just gonna google search their INITIAL ages during the start or end of their adventures: starting of with: Wars!

Wars is 17 in Hyrule warriors, roughly at least.

Now here's the thing: Jojo had a Q&A, and the one of the questions she answered she revealed that there was some time that had passed after their adventure BEFORE they went onto their quest with the rest of the chain. And she said Wars finished his adventure 6-7 years ago. So 17 + 6 or 7, hes about 23 to 24 in canon

Then we add the years in the reboot or Ava's story in LU, AKA: the time he spent w the chain before meeting Ava, which is lets say plus 3: my calcu says he'll be 26 or 27

Twilight is also roughly 17 but finished his adventure 4-5 years ago, so he should be about: 21 or 22 in LU Canon.

Plus 3 in reboot: he'll be 24 or 25

Sky is seemingly the same. Idk if he started 17 and then became 18 at the end of his adventure, but he's basically said to be in similar age to Twilight. He finished his adventure 1-2 years ago, so hes either 18 or 19 Plus 3 reboot: 21 or 22

Wild is... Oh boi: 17. But now 117 technically cuz of the sleep thing. He finished his adventure less than a year ago so nothing's changed. But plus 3 reboot has him in: 120, or 20

And then.. Oh blobs.

ALTTP def took a year (I heard smth about a year passing when he finished?... Or there was a year break before Leg went off to OOS.) He was 16 or 17 in ALTTP so during that break or right AFTER he finished he would be about 17 or 18 in OOS.

OOS and OOA i'll hc to have taken under one year at most. So he'll be 19 to 20. And then... There was LA, and ALBW, and if were including it, Hytopia too. Those 2 (or 3 w Hytopia), happened within a year from the looks of things. So Leg will be about 20 to 21.

He finished ALL OF THAT, and had a lil mini break from his adventures for about 1 year Jojo said so plus 1 equals to him being 21 to 22 in Canon LU

Plus 3 in the reboot: 24 or 25 🧍‍♀️

And then.. Hyrule, OHSDFH

Help I searched at google and his first adventure it was said he started at 10 years old TT Then he started his 2nd adventure at 16.. Huh he had a long break before he went on a new one.

Rulie finished his adventure 2 years ago so he should be about 18 in LU canon. Then 3 plus reboot: 21

Next is Four. He's ROUGHLY about 12-15 in the start of his adventure, which his first being in Minish Cap. EDIT: In LU Canon, one of the earlier comics of Jojo, Four said he isn't a child. Implying he's of legal age. So he must be AT LEAST 18. For him to reach that age, he has to be 15 in minish Cap, then four swords must take a year, which makes him 16. So that, and then add what Jojo said he had a break after finishing his adventures for 2 years, that will FINALLY make him 18.

Then finally, plus 3 in the reboot: he would be 21 or 22

And lastly Wind: he is one of the only, or the only honestly, to have canonically dropped an age in the comic and I believe he said he was 12 when he set out. In Jojo's Q&A she said he finished his adventure 1 year ago. That means he's 13 in LU canon, and its further solidified when he said to Malon "I'm almost 14." THEN we add 3 in the reboot: he's simply 16 by then.

No we can't do much with Time. Malon was laughing when the guys guessed he was 60 years old. It's gotta be more than that IGSIUDFGISFG Regardless,.. ugh. He finished his adventure PHYSICIALLY 20 years ago, plus 3 in the reboot... there's 23+ years added to his belt.

Be reminded that the sources I got are from google and the people who stated these ages were also guesstimating everything. So you don't have to take these seriously or just take it with a grain of salt. But regardless, I'll be using these ages in Ava's story/ Ava LU Reboot... I might also apply these ages in my other stories Ava has with the chain-

Thinking about Higirashi but specifically the newest one where Rika and Satchio or whatever the fuck the blondes name is are at odds

What if it was Riz and Kipperlily? Riz keeps going back to whatever date to try and save everybody but Kipperlilly just can't stomach the idea of this green little bastard getting a happy ending where nothing ever goes wrong and nobody dies

Pok and Kalina are outside the world's and guiding their chosen charges but on the reset Riz loses his memories of that "timeline" or "world" and his discussion with Pok never gets very far

Thinking about all the doomed worlds/timelines where his friends just fucked themselves up on their own and he took himself out early. He's glad he forgets that, that's the worst part.

Kipplerlilly doesn't forget. She remembers every timeline/world. I also like to believe she's petty enough to not have a real endgame merely just the desire to remove Riz from ever finding joy and drown that goblin bitch in misery. She needs to crush his will. At a distance of course and sometimes it's so damn easy.

+I also don't want to limit this to just one year because I think it would be cool seeing younger versions of the bad kids in middle school and how their lives got fucked up before they even meet one another

+instead of the disease I think it would just be rage stars that Kipperlily is much too generous with.

Arthur is missing from every single off shoot

I did think about Kristen being the one who resets but I think it's funnier if shes the same pain in the ass in every single world/ timeline and Kipperlily's biggest obstacle is this piece that doesn't even know the scope of the full "game"

Also right off the bat Riz has a mission

Kipperlilly thinks this is a game and she's been winning this whole time. At least she believes it

I like to believe that Baron has beef with Kipperlilly specifically because she's a dogshit friend to her friends and that's just repulsive (not that he's doing much better) anyway he wants to stop this world hopping because how can he terrorize Riz when he has Bigger things to worry about.

+Fig and Gorgug nearly kill one another in every timeline. Basically following Rena's story but with Gilear suddenly being fancied by some bimbo bitch and Fig not being cool with this new person using her dad for money or whatever. She murks this bitch and gets paranoid, hides the body. Gorgug and her are in a band so they spend a lot of time together and she starts to think aw shit he knows. Maybe he does in some timelines, maybe he doesn't but Fig believes that's a fucking problem and she needs to off him because he will talk. It's always a 50/50 shot of one of either of them surviving. If gorgug can grab a hold of her she's toast but if she gets the jump on him she's got a pretty good chance of punching his ticket. Also they probably both fuck one another up and maybe die a couple times from their wounds

+there's a timeline where Gorgug accidentally (or perhaps with a little unseen help) kills one or both his adoptive parents which makes people believe he's a monster and it keeps it isolated. I think Fig would think that's metal as hell and reach out and Adine would be like damn that's cool I wish you'd kill my dad or some shit like that- anyway the bad kids would reach out and gorgug wouldn't correct them because dang people are talking to me. I really believe in these fucked up timelines it's the girls that save him from drowning the rage and the guilt he shouldn't even have. Maybe something happens like he accidentally kills Adine or he's set up and dang wouldn't it suck for everything to believe you've killed three people already? And not even adventuring? What a monster. The paranoia would lead to minor self harm and typical restless behavior. Maybe he starts believing the cops are after him and he's gotta get them first. Tries to bomb the precinct. Sometimes he's shot before he can pull the trigger but other times it goes off and he's caught in the blast because the paranoia made him work fast, not careful

+ there are timelines where Kristen is straight up a little harvestman, they exist but they are RARE. She wants to convert her friends and widen the reach of Helio, and there is so much room under the sun. Religious paranoia and trauma bla bla bla. She sees how much suffering there is in the world and her family is wonderful and her friends are so good. She tries to send everyone to heaven express delivery. Do not eat the corn bread or the quiche. I like to believe she would do this as peacefully as possible but her friends wouldn't all go down from poisoned punch or whatever. I think she would be so sad watching her friends choke. Praying over them as they die and promising them she'll be along shortly. Maybe she lays them down and kisses their forehead and holds their hand until the very end because dying is scary and the only one who needs to die alone is her but that's okay. They'll be happy in heaven and nothing bad will ever happen again. Suffering? No. Never again. Not her wonderful friends. Not her brothers. Not her church. No more.

+ sklonda has a timeline where she gets paranoid (these are rare as well) and she starts to really dislike her son's friends. They call him the ball...the ball! At first she can ignore the effects of the rage star or chalk it up to kids being stupid but it's baby being referred to as a play thing. How fucking DARE. absolutely kills Fabian. She would eventually find irredeemable qualities in all his friends and punch their tickets. It's entirely possible she breaks Riz's spine so he can't run from her sight. Misery up in this bitch a lil bit lol

+basically a bunch of fucked up timelines where shit went pear shaped. Woops. That's it.. a million or so horrible what ifs Riz has to untangle so his friends don't kill themselves or one another. It gets harder every time.

Eventually they figure it out. Eventually.

To continue with my ventting.

I can't remember which blog said this, but they said something along the lines that it will take time for Chris to rebuild his career once this shitshow is over. They were talking about how this shitshow has gone on for so long and how bad the situation has gotten that it is now even starting to affect the general public's opinion of him.

This shitshow has gone on for far too long and is so bad that personally, I don't know if the fandom will ever recover, but it will definitely not ever be the same. The fandom was divided into many factions because of this mess that Chris created. Chris willingly chose to allow his fandom to be used, to be gaslighted, and to be labeled as crazy by his team. He allowed his POS, lazy ass leech of a brother to call his fans crazy. Chris has used his fans for many years, but this time, he went too far. I honestly don't know if he will have as large and as devoted fandom ever again. The fan base that supported him through thick and thin, that went to bat for him when the leaked dick pic was accidentally released and pretty much saved him, I believe that is gone for good. Chris will never have that support from the fandom ever again, in my opinion. There has been too much hurt, too much disrespect, and too much division for there to be the level of loyalty that once existed when that dick pic surfaced. I blame Chris and his team for that.

I'm waiting for this crap of a PR stunt shitshow to end. After that, who knows. I will say this it will take a long time for Chris to build his career and his fan base. He may successfully rebuild his career, but I highly doubt he will have the fan support he once had. And that is on him. He has no one else to blame but himself.

I hope that when this is over and done with, Chris will seek out a highly qualified and reputable therapist and has done the help he needs. I also hope he fires his entire team, CAA, Meghan, and especially Ilaria. I hope he finds a really good, decent agency to represent him and an agent with a strong moral compass who won't let this shitshow happen again. I hope he gets rid of all of his friends who are leeches, starting with Tara,Jamie Chung, and Mark Kassman. I hope he sets boundaries with those friends he chooses to keep in his life. I hope he financially cuts off his brother Scott. He's done way too much for that POS. At the very least, I hope he has it out with Scott and sets a timeline with Scott, telling Scott to move his ass to NYC, go to auditions on Broadway, and has 2 years to make it on Broadway and then he will cut him off. I really hope Chris does the hard work to better himself as a person and as an actor. Chris has no excuse not to get therapy. He comes from a financially affluent family. He is a millionaire several times over, thanks to his days with Marvel, so he has the means to get therapy. He has dealt with his issues by drinking too much, smoking tobacco cigarettes, smoking weed, and has been rumored to have tried cocaine or used cocaine. These aren't healthy, helpful, or productive ways to deal with his anxiety or other issues he may have. He needs to get help. More importantly, he has to want to get better. I really hope he chooses to get better and gets help. I also hope that one day, he publicly admits what he has done and sincerely apologizes to his fans.

As for me, when this shitshow ends, I will be relieved to finally see the end. After that, I don't know. I do know that for now and for a long time to come, I won't be spending any of my hard earned money on any of his work, nothing. As of right now, the last film of his I watched was The Gray Man. I have never been to a CC, and I doubt I will go to one he's involved in. I don't know if I will ever watch or support any of his future works.

I always side eyed Chris. I never truly bought into the image that Disney and his team created, especially when he got involved with his married Gifted Co star. I refuse to say her name because she is a POS. if you know the history of their relationship and what her SM media was like before the cleanup, you'll know why I don't like her.

I understand that Chris is a loyal person to his friends and family, but at some point, you have cut off toxic people. I have had to do this with many of my aunts and uncles, first cousins, and other family members. I'm the process of distancing myself from my sister because I've had enough of her disrespectful attitude towards me. So, I understand how hard it can be to set boundaries with family and friends and to cut ties with toxic people, but he is going to have to do that if he is going to lead a healthy life.

I am a fan of Sebastian Stan. He is #1 for me. Chris has always been second place. Sebastian, in my opinion, has always been the superior actor of the two. He has also, in my opinion, been the better human being of the two. I am so happy that all of Sebastian Stan's hard work and dedication to his craft is finally getting him the recognition he so richly deserves.

Some additions:

Sephiroth has absolutely set a barn on fire: the one Cloud and his mom were in, giving Cloud breathing issues and moderate brain damage.

Shinra employees were goading Sephiroth and/or he had just received injections and smelled the mares at the same time. They think he went a little nuts because he wanted to be with them, but this is my AU and I say it's because he misses Momther. Anyway, he went on a rampage and started an electrical fire which Palmer threw water on and made worse, and Cloud was the last baby who made it out alive, but he inhaled so much smoke he developed a bad cough and was put up for auction as a failure. His mom died protecting her baby, even though Shinra was trying to save her and willing to let Cloud die.

Zack, a yearling or young colt, wound up at the same auction as Cloud and immediately adopted him, guiding him around and getting between him and the older horses and even people Zack didn't approve of. Zack was wild before he was caught.

Depending on the timeline, the pair were either found by GenGeal or bounced around to different barns that thought they could break the crazy green colt and heal the cute little pony. They vastly overestimated Cloud "Biting History" Strife's willingness to be near anyone who smelled like medicine (because he was at Shinra's barn and experimented on as a baby) and Zack "Undiagnosed ADHD and Trauma" Fair's capacity for self-control.

Cloud also got picked on in almost every herd, and fought back. It became too dangerous for both himself and most other horses for him to be in a herd, especially since he had rages that happened because of the brain damage from smoke inhalation (or PTSD), and his lungs would act up if he got too feisty. He never got a chance to truly rest because everyone was so intent on Fixing Him, and they kept separating Zack for training.

Neither Zack nor Cloud liked that at ALL. Zack would go coco bananas without Cloud and be very naughty indeed until he found a fence he could jump to get back to his Cloud. That's also how Cloud developed his escape talents--he didn't like not knowing where Zack was and soon learned how to open doors and gates and break fences, including electric fences. He has a personal vendetta against electric fences and an uncanny ability to find weak points and power supplies.

Sephiroth is a fairly gentlemanly stallion before the younglings arrive, he had manners beaten into him. So GenGeal take great pleasure whenever he's the slightest but naughty. If he accidentally tosses his head in frustration or stretches his lips when they scratch a good spot, they praise him and release pressure as much as possible.

Genesis outright squeals when he sees this through his binoculars:

In order to finally help Cloud, Angeal works with him and Zack tirelessly to win their trust. It's an uphill battle, but soon, Zack caves and lets Angeal get close to Cloud and Cloud warms up to him. They still can't get a vet anywhere near because, oh fuck, Cloud's acquired a new protector and there are now three sets of sharp hooves and strong teeth ready to kick any vet into next Tuesday.

So Genesis works on them too, and eventually they get to the point where Sephiroth, Zack, and Cloud will let Angeal do things like check Cloud's lungs and even take a couple samples (lots of bribery and distraction from Genesis involved here). Finally, the vet is able to diagnose the issue and recommend treatment, most of which is rest. Real rest. Unbothered, no training, no separation from Zack, calm grazing in the fields with a supportive herd REST.

With just Zack and Sephiroth, Cloud finally gets that. Zack, once he sees Cloud is doing better, is more open to learning tricks and interacting with Genesis and Angeal. In fact, he LOVES tricks, and shows off while out in the pasture just because he can. Genesis knows he needs the enrichment, and when they train together, he does it in the arena right next to Cloud and Sephiroth's pasture, and uses positive reinforcement and exasperated sighs when Zack takes breaks to go show off to Cloud and Seph.

"Ok, Zack, now we must bow to the audience...good boy, very good! Wait no come baaaaack," Genesis whines good-naturedly, then watches Zack whinny for Cloud's attention and perform a beautiful bow. Gen can't help but trot over and praise him for how well executed it was and Zack just eats it up (along with his treats).

GenGeal AU (featuring Hipporoth)

GenGeal AU where Genesis is a horse girl (gender neutral), Angeal is a stablehand who is shoveling poo to keep his family afloat, but is good with horses (and excitable young chestnuts), and Sephiroth is a war horse or racehorse with evil owners and trainers (Shinra, Hojo).

Sephy:

Both boys notice Sephy and privately worry over him, and bump into each other one day and bond over their mutual concern.

Genesis uses his connections and money, and Angeal slowly gentles Sephiroth into trusting only him and Gen, then they all run away together and let Sephy retire on a big apple farm ❤️

Sephiroth of course was taken from his dam far too early, no natural weaning for this roided up baby boy.

Is that his momther? No, it is not.

Genesis learned dressage, but he loves jumping.

The two of them spend multiple nights in the barn together with Sephiroth when he's not feeling well or is lonely. They lie together in the hay for warmth, unable to sleep for worry over his colic, getting up every thirty minutes to check him again. Angeal gets to see Genesis' tender side and falls in love all over again after already loving him for this dramatic horse rescue and escape side. Genesis falls again for Angeal's steady compassion and his huge hands rubbing Sephiroth down.

Angeal brings home a rescued 3 year old and his best friend, a tiny palomino. Sephiroth bonds with Zack and Cloud deeply.

Genesis is mildly annoyed by Zack's shenanigans, but is often found sneaking all three of them treats.

Genesis is certain Zack is the one convincing Cloud and Sephiroth to act up. Cloud is an escape artist, and frees Zack. Sephiroth is just big and strong enough that he can hop fences.

Genesis gets the brunt of their mischief, and finds himself bumped into the water trough, bumped into Angeal, and squished against a horse and the wall until he has to shout to Angeal for help. They never hurt him, but seem to delight in forcing him to call Angeal. They also steal his hats and nuzzle his pockets for treats.

None of them waste any time getting his fanciest duds dirty. Between the black, yellow, and gray hairs, he can wear nothing to hide his profession. Zack is very fond of dribbling grassy water and snot on his shirts and pants.

Angeal laughs fondly and kisses him to make it better. It works.

They both love to watch each other care for the horses, and they both love their boys to the moon and back.

Cloud and Zack save Sephy from a horse-napping when Shinra wants him back as a stud. Zack whinnies relentlessly and tries to fight the rustlers off while Cloud breaks out, kicks some ass, then breaks into their cabin and wakes them up further before galloping back and kicking more ass.

Abbot Gunter: Human. The abbot in a rural monastery somewhere outside of Jorvik. Hates being a monk to the point he’ll ignore some bad behaviors as long as he doesn't see it happen. If he does see it, God help you. Obsessed with book collecting. If you lend him a book, you are probably not getting it back. 

Aldus of Jorvik: Human. Cloth merchant. Manipulative and scummy. Occasionally he means well. Most of the time he doesn’t. If it doesn’t benefit him, he doesn’t care.

Archbishop of Jorvik: Human. An actual person historically speaking, but as I do not like writing real people as characters, he’s never named. 

Archbishop Roderic: Human. Becomes the Archbishop of Jorvik years after Brother Cellanus’s story. Abbot Gunter’s older brother. Has anger issues and a harem. 

Brother Bennett Benedictus of Romanwood: Human. He is a skilled illuminator. He is a monk at Abbot Gunter’s monastery. All he wants in life is to be a father. Somewhere on the autism spectrum. Was an oblate. (Depends what part of the timeline the story takes place.)

Faelan: Brother Bennett's beloved but feral demon child. She likes flowers, setting things on fire with her breath, and drawing. She does not like baths or praying. Her father makes her participate in both for her own good. Despite this cruel injustice, she loves Bennett.

Brother Cellanus of Jorvik: Human. A cheerful monk living in Jorvik. He is a monastic priest and ministers to the local prostitutes. He is determined to convert as many pagans as he can. Probably has ADHD. Used to be an oblate.

Brother Felix: Faun. He is a monk, Brother Cellanus’ caretaker and companion. He was hired by Father Abbot as Cellanus kept getting himself in trouble. He’s laid back and very stoic. (Except when it comes to saytrs.) 

Brother Finley: Half selkie, half human. From the Orkney Islands. A little crazy and very traumatized. The new novice master in Abbot Gunter’s monastery. 

Brother Eberwolf: Human. Mad scientist monk. One of Abbot Gunter’s flock. Cheerful but completely insane with little to no regard for ethics. 

Brother Maldwyn. Human. Ex-prince, current monk. The cellarer of Abbot Gunter’s monastery. Very easy going except when he feels that you’re wasting his time. Brother Theobald’s lover.

Brother Theobald of Pocklington: Human. The novice master of Abbot Gunter’s monastery. Cares for his students but is extremely strict and uptight. Brother Maldwyn’s lover.

Emmeline: Human. Cellanus’s older sister. Sex worker. Very caring but will also fight back if need be. Can be scary (only to Cellanus though).

Father Abbot: Human. The abbot at Brother Cellanus’ abbey in Jorvik. Exasperated by Cellanus’ antics but loves him as a son. Thinks he is savvier than he actually is.  

Halfdan: Human. Hervör's awful violent transphobic older brother. He likes to raid and kill monks.

Hervör: Human. She’s a sex worker in a Jorvik brothel. A bit of a tsundere but with yandere tendencies. She’s a trans woman, saving up money, and hates her brothers. She’s an ex-raider and feels only a little bad about it.

Master Hob: Hob/Fae. Brother Cellanus accidentally kicked a rock at him once and that was the cause of The Completely Unerotic Adventures of Brother Cellanus! He shows up sometimes. 

Sister Maud: Human. An extremely powerful witch. Abbot Gunter’s right hand woman.
