When Velvette first arrived in Hell, she fell literally right in front of Vox and Val as they were out on a walk. Valentino picked her up almost instantly and they took her home. He helped give her her name, alongside Vox, who decided she needed a V, too.

While she was making a name for herself, Vox would boost all of her social media posts. If someone gave her shit, he and Val both would troll them. Vox has doxxed people and got them fired, and Val has shot people for less.

Valentino had a habit of taking Vel to his clubs and things, and he definitely didn't let anyone fuck with her. She got drugged one time and he put so many bullets in the guy that he emptied Moneyshot's chambers four times.

If Velvette is bought a drink while they are out, Valentino always tries it first to make sure it isn't drugged. If it is, he makes a big deal out of it and then kills the person later.

Vox lets her dress him up sometimes and he has fried people and detonated their phones for making fun of either of them.

They bonded almost instantly and Vox and Val both don't take kindly to people assuming Velvette isn't powerful enough to be an Overlord on her own. They have let her demonstrate her own cruelty on quite a few people they captured for her to do as much to. They live stream it and Vox puts it on every screen in the Pentagram.

So this has been sitting in my askbox for a bit, I've just been busy and everywhere. BUT I finally got to this! I'll Rust With You is a Polyamorvee fic that I've been writing for comfort. It's sweet and just really domestic about the Vees doing cozy hobbies together.

All of the VVV are touch starved in one form or another, thus they're very touchy with each other even if it's not being romantic or sexual. When they sleep they sleep the same way kittens pile on each other, frequently grab each other, stand close together and just big on physical contact

Even when you think it might be sexual it's not, Val will grope Velvettes tits and it's entirely not a sex thing it's just comforting relaxing. Velvette will grab Vox's ass not to turn him on or say she wants sex but because she needs to calm down and has to figure out something, Vox will grab Valentinos hips to just squeeze them because he's had a bad day and the touch cheers him up

And even then it's not rare to walk in on them completely tangled up with each other while on the couch or relaxing

To be ever so slightly salty I think the "Velvette is Vox and Vals adoptive daughter" is just gross lol. And this isn't because I support the VVV polycule but also just dismisses Velvettes role entirely

She is not beneath them, she doesn't take orders from them, she is not treated as younger nor is there any implication that the two take on any paternal role to her. Her line "I'm the backbone of the Vees" combined with the fact she also has to deal with Valentinos outburst basically confirms she's equal to them. Making her their surrogate daughter implies they don't work with her because she's good at her role but because she's their babyyyy which is hella demeaning considering the total boss bitch that Velvette is

Also reminder. Velvette is supposed to be like thirty years old lmao, I'm all for found family tropes but what two men look at a thirty year old women and immediately think of her as their daughter figure? And why would Velvette think of either of them as her "dads"? Especially at that age?

Also let's be real, Valentino is a canonically sex abuser. Given all we know about him, the idea of him having a father daughter relationship with an adult women he did not raise and he's not related to has unfortunate implications.

If you don't ship her with the other Vees that's fine. If you headcanon as a lesbian that's based and also fine. But she can be their friend, business partner or someone they're close to without it having familial overtones.

Don't infantlize and deprive her of her standing.
