Day 15
Race: Oh god
Alignment: Oh fuck
April 9th, 2024
After a few hours of rigorous training, I think I’m ready. Day 15 is a special day, after all. Welcome to the all-for-one Jack Frost special!
1. Lucifrost
Race: Herald
Alignment: Light-Law
Lucifrost is a very strange Frost with a surprisingly intricate design, a demon that only appears in the Demikids and Devil Survivor games, typically as a mid-late game boss. Unlike what one might expect, he isn’t a frostified version of Lucifer- no, his backstory is far more fun.
Lucifrost once was a Jack Frost, but he was exiled from the Frost family due to betraying them, much like Lucifer did to the Angels. Jealous, he wandered down to hell, eventually finding himself in the final layer, wherein he saw the frozen Lucifer in a lake of tears. Rather than feel pity, though, Lucifrost saw an opportunity… for profit. Frozen Lucifer was a perfect idol for the ice-obsessed fiend, who began to try and impersonate the fallen angel, eventually returning to hell after achieving a perfectly angelic form… only to see that Lucifer had long since departed. Likely despondent, he wandered aimlessly to find the king of demons for all of eternity, ending up crossing paths with the DemiKids and Devil Survivors protagonists along the way.
While his backstory is silly, his design is fantastic, an interpretation of an angelic Jack Frost that makes him far more adorable than the Morning Star could ever be.
2. Frost Ace
Race: Genma
Alignment: Light-Neutral
The legendary hero of the Frost Lineage, Frost Ace makes himself known as a mid-game demon who exists as a parody of superhero media and, more specifically, tokusatsu sentai shows like Super Sentai.
Frost Ace mostly works as a 'good side' equivalent to Black Frost, being a heroic transformation that any Jack Frost is implied to be able to take to grow in power. I personally like to see Frost Ace, on top of that, also serving as a general in King Frost's army, as it adds on a bit to the whole 'Frost Kingdom' theme.
You getting tired yet? I'm nowhere near done!
3. The Frost Five!
Race: Frost
Alignment: Five
These bozos are each based on separate frozen deserts, save one, which is a cocktail. In order, Blue Hawaii Frost is based on the Blue Hawaii cocktail, Lemon Frost is based on lemon-flavored shaved ice, Melon Frost is based on melon-flavored shaved ice, Strawberry Frost is based on strawberry-flavored shaved ice, and lastly, Milky Frost is just ice cream.
Ahem.
4. Hee-ho-Kun
Race: Student
Alignment: Broke due to Student Loans
Less of a specific demon and more of a recurring character, Hee-ho-Kun is a demon who originates from SMT if... serving a minor role as a friendly Jack Frost who can become an optional party member, apparently enjoying going to school.
Unfortunately, in order to pay his college bills, he had to open a shop! In SMT 3: Nocturne, Hee-ho-Kun makes his grand return as a shop owner in Shibuya, though later finds his calling as a Black Frost, becoming an optional boss of the Kabukicho Prison area after being cleared, then becoming a recruitable party member once defeated, appearing in the Labyrinth of Amala.
Lastly, Hee-ho-Kun manages to get a girlfriend! In Megami Ibunroku: Persona, aka Revelations Persona, he appears at St. Hermelin HS as a student after it is frozen over as a result of the Snow Queen quest. Let's hope he got the education he hoped for, especially given his acquisition of a girlfriend!
Finally. The Jack Protags.
Ah, they truly are great. Let us bask in their brilliance lest we forget the greatest frosts of them all. Raiho is a personal favorite of mine.
Also, Jack Frost somehow got a Demonica? Enter Demon-hee-ho, a recurring boss in the Strange Journey games. Admittedly, I don't know much about SJ, but I find his inclusion to be really silly, so he gets a special shoutout among his protag contemporaries.
...And that's that! I hope you enjoyed the Jack Frost miniseries. I'm missing a few Jack's, such as the Petite Frosts, but I'm honestly just tired of doing Jack Bros. stuff. Let me have this break. Either way, though, the Frost blockade has been cleared. We'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming once our snowplows come by.

" i do not wish to see a citrus colour, ever again. " a fact that he would argue to be an understatement, perhaps, as the conglomerate heir chooses to step outside the far too crowded hall, once blank features scowled into something less opportunistic. he hadn't imagined finding such a familiar face within the crowd, hadn't been so sure on how to react towards such a discovery, either, but now it remains the two of them does he take it a fine opportunity to voice his true opinion. the base of this years theme feels rather similar to the bowl of oranges he passes every morning in the academy's dining hall, yellows clashing with lemons that rest in glasses to the point he considers excusing himself for their brightness giving him a headache. still ... he supposes that is only his opinion, something that no doubt could be either shared or denied by the princess he finally classes a glance back to, scowl only tightening at the flash of orange he catches behind her. hopefully such a trend would no doubt end soon. / from byakuya! <3
Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1 starters - Accepting!
For all the merriment and levity centered within the elegant Tokyo hotel's grand ballroom, Sonia had needed a respite from the constant activity and cheer. Truly, she hadn't thought a retired Japanese politician's 90th birthday to be quite so lively, but she'd been proven wrong: what she'd come to learn, as briefed by her private secretary earlier that day, was that as a young man he'd spent his early years of adulthood, of wealth and privilege from family money well before he served in the Japanese Diet, traveling the world with a distinct interest in other cultures. And none had made quite such an impression as the South Pacific, the Caribbean, Hawaii. Places both tropical and with a good reputation for frivolity and relaxation, to the point that when his eldest son and a politician in his own right asked his father what sort of occasion he wanted to commemorate such an important birthday, the man had shot him a toothy grin and had apparently uttered a single word: tiki.
The result was a curious mishmash of upperclass sensibility and a luau. Real palm trees had been brought in alongside various artifacts from Polynesian Islands and every tiki bar in Japan (all four of them). The guests were instructed to wear colorful black tie and had been given leis or flowers to wear in their hair upon arrival. The live band switched between a string quartet, soft rock, and a ukulele soloist. But despite silver trays filled with crab rangoon, chicken satay skewers, and fruity cocktails topped with small paper umbrellas being offered by suited waitstaff, some things hadn't changed despite the cheerful decor. Namely how many people quickly made themselves known to the Princess of Novoselic upon her arrival: even her security detail seemed surprised by how many prominent Japanese families had swarmed one of the few, yet very prized, foreign party guests. From other politicians to prominent CEOs in an array of businesses, Sonia had given the nod twenty minutes ago that she was in dire need of a break. And a drink.
To her dismay, she'd been handed a virgin mai tai. One she sipped nevertheless in a quiet, yet elegant, hallway a short distance from the ballroom itself. She would have much rather preferred one with rum, or at least a glass of Veuve Clicquot off the trays going around. But it was to her surprise though that her solitude was to be interrupted, and by someone familiar at that.
The one person who would look most out of place at such an occasion: Byakuya Togami. It wasn't unheard of to appear at the same social events. Out of everyone at Hope's Peak Academy, it was his social circles that had the most overlap with her own. But it was unexpected to see him at this sort of party: with plenty of drunken, partying adults and no business deals to be made in sight.
"Citrus colors?" She repeated, tilting her head and glancing at the very citrus drink in her hand before looking up again to meet his gaze. "I suppose you chose not to 'get lei'd' upon arrival, then: most of them seemed to be predominantly citrus colors."
In her own attempt to be part of the fun, she'd accepted a white hibiscus flower with a deep pink center, tucked behind her right ear. It was the offering that clashed the least with her dress: an off-the-shoulder gown made of layers upon layers of seafoam green silk organza and lined in duchesse satin, to support the weight of the petticoats. Green tourmaline and akoya pearl jewelry adorned her ears, neck, and wrist: gifts from the man celebrating his birthday to her grandmother, when she'd been queen. She looked like she'd stepped out of a tropical ocean shore. Citrus colors, her mother had insisted, clashed with the platinum shade of her hair and her blue eyes, and she would not be wearing them.
She set her half-finished drink to the side: without food, it tasted too sweet on its own. "Are you taking a respite from the party as well?" She asked, giving him a small smile. Truthfully, he looked nearly ready to tear someone's head off from the way he scowled, and she was already treading in dangerous waters by attempting to start up a conversation with him. Good thing then, that Byakuya Togami didn't intimidate her in the least. "I found it a little enthusiastic upon my arrival and I needed a moment to breathe." And not commit herself to dancing to every single song that night with every man who asked: from boastful college boys to men twice her age or more, if they were single and came from a prominent family, they were quick to chat her up and ask for her undivided attention for a dance. Sonia supposed it was one of the few things money couldn't buy for them: connections to royalty, if not a title of their own in the future.
As much as she liked to dismiss romance novels featuring princesses and balls, there was some truth to them: the marriage market was still thriving in the upper classes, despite it being the twenty-first century.
Still, she didn't necessarily dislike the theme. It made the party far more interesting than the usual elegant fare she was invited to and expected to attend. Togami, from the way his scowl tightened, didn't agree with her, but at least he was looking over her shoulder.
"What in the-" She asked, turning her head in the direction of his disdain. The youngest granddaughter of the guest of honor, a fourth year student at Bunka Fashion College, was making her way towards them both in an orange beaded and sequined ballgown that, with her coordinating high, tight ponytail, rather made her resemble a sparkly pumpkin. Clearly one of her own designs. "Oh. I understand."
Sonia swiftly turned back to face him. She didn't owe him any sort of favor and he'd certainly never thank her, but as someone so often caught in a similar situation, she felt it wrong to let it slide. "If you do not wish to dance with her," She whispered, barely audible as the girl came closer and closer, an eager expression on her face where Byakuya was concerned. "You must ask someone else instead. It would be ungentlemanly to refuse her otherwise."

How to Plan a Hawaiian Luau Party in Chicago: Menu Ideas and Tips
Planning a Hawaiian luau party is a fantastic way to bring the spirit of the islands to Chicago, and crafting the perfect luau food menu in Chicago, IL is essential to capturing the authentic flavors of Hawaii. Whether you’re hosting in your backyard or renting an indoor space, this guide will help you plan every detail for an unforgettable luau experience, from the menu to the entertainment.
1. Selecting the Perfect Venue
Choosing the right location is the first step to setting the tone for your luau party.
Outdoor Venues: If you want to capture the essence of a traditional Hawaiian luau, consider hosting your party outdoors. Popular locations include local parks, beaches along Lake Michigan, or your backyard. Outdoor spaces provide the perfect backdrop for Hawaiian decorations, games, and a pig roast.
Indoor Alternatives: For a more controlled environment, especially if you’re concerned about Chicago’s unpredictable weather, you could rent a hall, community center, or a restaurant with a private room. Indoor venues can be transformed into a tropical paradise with the right decor and lighting.
2. Setting the Scene with Authentic Decor
The right decorations are crucial for immersing your guests in the luau theme. Here’s how to set the scene:
Entrance Decor: Start with a lei greeting at the entrance to welcome guests. You can use fresh flower leis, or for a budget-friendly option, go with silk or plastic leis in bright colors.
Tropical Ambiance: Decorate with palm leaves, tiki torches, and bamboo accents to create a lush, island feel. Hang string lights or lanterns for evening events to add a soft, inviting glow. Scatter seashells and sand around tables for added detail.
Table Settings: Use brightly colored tablecloths, preferably with floral patterns, and add centerpieces featuring pineapples, coconuts, or tropical flowers. For a finishing touch, place mini umbrellas in guests’ drinks.
3. Creating an Authentic Luau Menu
An authentic Hawaiian menu is the heart of a luau. Here’s a comprehensive list of menu ideas:
Main Dishes:
Kalua Pig: Traditionally cooked in an underground oven (imu), but for practicality, you can slow-cook a pork shoulder in your oven or slow cooker. Season it with liquid smoke and Hawaiian sea salt to mimic the smoky, tender flavor of traditional Kalua pig.
Chicken Long Rice: A savory dish made with chicken, ginger, garlic, and clear mung bean noodles. It’s a staple in Hawaiian cuisine and can be prepared in advance.
Poke Bowls: Serve a variety of poke, including ahi tuna or tofu for a vegetarian option, with toppings like avocado, seaweed salad, and pickled ginger.
Lomi Lomi Salmon: This cold salad features salted salmon, tomatoes, onions, and occasionally green onions. It’s light, refreshing, and easy to prepare.
Side Dishes:
Poi: A staple of Hawaiian cuisine made from taro root. This starchy, purple paste has a slightly sour taste and pairs well with salty meats.
Hawaiian Macaroni Salad: A creamy pasta salad with mayonnaise, shredded carrots, and sometimes canned tuna or crab, which provides a cooling contrast to the main dishes.
Pineapple Fried Rice: Incorporate diced pineapples, ham, peas, carrots, and scrambled eggs into fried rice. Serve it in a hollowed-out pineapple for an impressive presentation.
Sweet Potatoes: Hawaiian purple sweet potatoes (Okinawan) are steamed and served as a simple side.
Desserts:
Haupia: A traditional coconut milk dessert that’s easy to prepare. It’s similar to a firm pudding and can be cut into squares.
Malasadas: Portuguese-style doughnuts that are popular in Hawaii. These sweet, fried treats can be rolled in sugar or filled with custard or coconut cream.
Coconut Pineapple Cake: A moist, fluffy cake infused with coconut milk and topped with pineapple slices and a sprinkle of shredded coconut.
Drinks:
Tropical Cocktails: Mai Tais, Blue Hawaiians, and Pina Coladas are classic choices. Offer non-alcoholic versions, such as virgin Pina Coladas and fruit punch, for guests who prefer not to drink.
Kona Coffee: Serve hot or iced Kona coffee for a taste of Hawaii’s famous coffee, perfect for an after-dinner pick-me-up.
4. Entertainment and Activities to Keep the Party Alive
A luau is as much about fun and entertainment as it is about food. Plan a mix of activities to keep guests engaged:
Hula Dancing: Hire professional hula dancers or a Hawaiian band to perform traditional dances. For added fun, arrange a hula dance lesson for your guests.
Limbo Contest: A limbo contest is a lively and interactive game that fits the tropical theme perfectly. Make it more festive by using a bamboo pole and playing Hawaiian music.
Lei-Making Station: Set up a craft station where guests can create their own flower leis. Provide fresh flowers, string, and instructions for a hands-on activity.
Photo Booth: Create a tropical photo booth with props like oversized sunglasses, grass skirts, and surfboards. Encourage guests to take photos to remember the event.
5. Crafting the Perfect Invitation and Dress Code
Set the tone for your luau party with creative invitations and a suggested dress code:
Invitations: Design invitations with tropical motifs like hibiscus flowers, tiki masks, and palm trees. You can send digital invites or go the traditional route with printed cards.
Dress Code: Encourage guests to dress in Hawaiian attire, such as aloha shirts, sundresses, grass skirts, and flip-flops. This adds to the fun and makes for great photos!
6. Preparing for Chicago’s Unpredictable Weather
Given Chicago’s variable weather, it’s wise to have a contingency plan:
Tent Rentals: Consider renting a tent or canopy if your event is outdoors. This provides shade from the sun and protection from any unexpected rain.
Indoor Backup Plan: If rain is in the forecast, have an indoor venue option ready. Make sure it’s decorated to match your outdoor theme so guests still feel the luau spirit.
7. Additional Tips for a Smooth Party Experience
Catering and Professional Help: If cooking an entire luau feast feels overwhelming, consider hiring a caterer specializing in Hawaiian cuisine. This allows you to focus on enjoying the event with your guests.
Early Planning: Start planning your party at least a month in advance to secure your venue, caterer, and entertainment. Send out invitations 3-4 weeks before the event.
Guest Comfort: Ensure there’s plenty of seating and shade, especially if the party is outdoors during summer. Provide cool beverages and sunscreen to keep guests comfortable.
By focusing on the right elements, from creating a stunning luau food menu in Chicago, IL to setting the perfect tropical ambiance, you’ll host a luau party that captures the essence of Hawaii and leaves a lasting impression on your guests. With the right planning and creativity, your Chicago luau will be the talk of the town!

So, put on your favorite Hawaiian shirt, don a flower lei, and get ready to embark on a culinary journey to the Aloha State! (See also "How To Make A Hawaiian Shaved Ice Cream With Homemade Fruit Flavored Syrup") 1. Traditional Hawaiian Dishes To set the stage for an authentic Hawaiian experience, let's start with some classic dishes deeply rooted in the island's culture. One such dish is the Kalua Pork. Prepared by slow-cooking a whole pig in an underground oven called an imu, Kalua Pork is tender, smoky, and infused with traditional flavors. Another iconic dish is Lomi Lomi Salmon, a refreshing salad made with salted salmon, tomatoes, onions, and green onions, marinated to perfection. 2. Modern Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine While traditional dishes hold a special place in Hawaiian cuisine, modern Hawaiian fusion dishes have also gained popularity. These innovative creations blend traditional Hawaiian ingredients with contemporary culinary techniques. One example is the Hawaiian BBQ Pizza, featuring a fusion of barbecue sauce, tender chicken, pineapple, and cheese atop a crispy crust. 3. Appetizers and Finger Foods For a party ambiance, tantalize your guests' taste buds with a variety of Hawaiian-inspired appetizers and finger foods. Ahi Poke, a savory raw fish salad, is a crowd-pleasing option. You can also serve Coconut Shrimp with a tangy dipping sauce for a delightful tropical twist. 4. Main Courses For the main courses, consider offering a diverse selection to cater to different preferences. Huli Huli Chicken, a marinated and grilled chicken dish, is sure to be a hit. For seafood lovers, Macadamia-Crusted Mahi-Mahi brings a delightful combination of crunchy and juicy flavors. 5. Side Dishes and Accompaniments Complement the main courses with a variety of side dishes and accompaniments. Pineapple Fried Rice perfectly balances the sweetness of pineapple with the savoriness of fried rice. Don't forget to serve some Taro Rolls as a unique and delicious alternative to regular dinner rolls. 6. Desserts and Sweet Treats End your feast on a sweet note with some delectable Hawaiian desserts. Haupia, a creamy coconut pudding, is a delightful tropical delight. For a refreshing treat, serve some Mango Sorbet that will transport your guests to a sun-kissed Hawaiian beach. (See also "How To Make Hawaiian Sea Salt And Palm Sugar Caramel Ice Cream" 7. Beverages and Cocktails Quench your guests' thirst with a selection of refreshing beverages and tropical cocktails. A classic Mai Tai with its blend of rum and citrus flavors will transport everyone to the shores of Waikiki. For non-alcoholic options, consider serving a Pineapple Ginger Punch, a delightful mix of pineapple juice and ginger ale. (See also "How To Make Pisco Sour: The Classic Peruvian Cocktail") 8. DIY Luau Food Stations Create an interactive experience with DIY food stations. Set up a Poke Bowl Bar, allowing guests to customize their poke bowls with a variety of fresh ingredients. Additionally, a Build-Your-Own Slider Station with a selection of toppings will be a hit among your guests. 9. Decorations and Presentation To add visual appeal to your dishes, pay attention to creative presentation. Serve dishes in coconut shells or hollowed pineapples for an authentic touch. As for decorations, use vibrant tropical flowers like Hibiscus and Bird of Paradise to create a festive atmosphere. 10. Music and Entertainment Music is a crucial element of any Hawaiian-themed party. Prepare a playlist featuring classic Hawaiian tunes from legendary artists like Israel Kamakawiwo'ole and Don Ho. For an added touch, hire a ukulele player to strum some melodies live. 11. Party Games and Activities Keep the party spirit alive with entertaining games and activities. Organize a Hula Hoop Contest to get everyone moving and laughing. For a more laid-back option, have a Sandcastle Building Competition reminiscent of beach days in Hawaii. 12. Etiquette and Cultural Sensitivity While embracing the Hawaiian spirit, it's essential to be culturally sensitive. Encourage guests to respect local customs, such as removing shoes before entering the party area. A small gesture of appreciation for the Hawaiian culture can go a long way. 13. Budget-Friendly Tips Hosting a Hawaiian-themed party doesn't have to break the bank. Consider DIY decorations using materials like bamboo and tiki torches. Opt for locally sourced ingredients to support the community and reduce costs. 14. Conclusion In conclusion, hosting a Hawaiian-themed party is a fantastic way to transport your guests to the enchanting shores of Hawaii. By serving a selection of traditional and modern Hawaiian dishes, along with refreshing beverages and delightful desserts, you'll create an unforgettable experience for everyone. Remember to add some Aloha spirit with music, games, and cultural sensitivity, ensuring your guests have a truly immersive and enjoyable time. FAQs 1. Can I prepare the Kalua Pork in an oven if I don't have an imu? Absolutely! While the traditional method involves an imu, you can achieve a similar result by slow-roasting the pork in your oven. Wrap the pork in banana leaves or foil to retain moisture and flavor. 2. Is it possible to make non-alcoholic versions of the cocktails? Yes, definitely! You can create non-alcoholic versions of popular cocktails by replacing the alcoholic ingredients with juices, flavored syrups, and soda. 3. Can I use frozen fish for the Ahi Poke? Fresh fish is preferable for Ahi Poke, but you can use high-quality frozen fish if fresh isn't available. Just make sure to thaw it properly before preparing the dish. 4. How far in advance can I prepare the Haupia dessert? You can make Haupia a day in advance and refrigerate it until you're ready to serve. The flavors will meld beautifully overnight. 5. Are there any vegetarian main course options for the party? Absolutely! Consider dishes like Grilled Veggie Skewers, Jackfruit Tacos, or Coconut Curry Tofu as delicious vegetarian main course options. #food #foodporn #foodie #instafood #foodphotography #foodstagram #yummy #foodblogger #foodlover #instagood #love #delicious #follow #like #healthyfood #homemade #dinner #foodgasm #tasty #photooftheday #foodies #restaurant #cooking #lunch #picoftheday #bhfyp #foodpics #instagram #healthy #chef Read the full article

Kona Cafe's Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes: Recipe with Sauce
Kona Cafe's Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes are a delicious and indulgent breakfast option that offer a taste of the tropics. Served at the Kona Cafe in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, these pancakes are a popular menu item that draw inspiration from the flavors of Hawaii. The pancakes are made with a fluffy and buttery batter, studded with crunchy macadamia nuts and chunks of sweet pineapple. Topped with a dollop of whipped cream, these pancakes are a decadent breakfast treat that is perfect for a special occasion or a lazy weekend morning. In this context, we can explore the cultural significance of macadamia nuts and pineapple in Hawaiian cuisine, and how they have become popular ingredients in a variety of dishes and desserts. We can also discuss the importance of using high-quality ingredients, such as fresh pineapple and locally sourced macadamia nuts, to create a delicious and wholesome breakfast. Finally, we can highlight the unique experience of dining at the Kona Cafe and how it offers a taste of the tropics in the heart of Disney World. More Delicious Recipes You Will Love: - Lemon Garlic Shrimp Spoodles Recipe: A Delicious and Easy Meal - Mac And Cheese With Red Wine Sauce – Jiko - Magical Star Cocktail – Disney Parks So last week was Fat Tuesday and it has always been a tradition for me to have pancakes for good luck. And I’m in the midst of my post-trip Disney blues, which meant that no ordinary pancakes would do. I’m craving Disney, in the worst possible way… For lucky pancakes, nothing short of Disney pancakes could be considered acceptable. Apparently, I must have pleased the Tiki God of pancakes (is there such a thing?) because not only did I manage to find the perfect pancake recipe, but it is from Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Can I just say, if there was ever in the world a recipe that was more like a warm hug then this one, honestly, I don’t know what it is. First off, that amazing smell every morning that floats through the Polynesian? Turns out it’s these pancakes. It’s the most beautiful smell and it instantly brought me back to Disney. All that was missing was the tiki music and a tropical fountain. Seriously, I got a little choked up. I’ll admit that while these may not look terribly gorgeous (and they don’t at Kona either), as far as taste, let me just say… Pure heaven. These may be the best pancakes I’ve had in my entire life, and that’s saying something as I’m quite the pancake connoisseur. They taste deliciously sweet, and the pineapple paired with the butter creates this beautiful, nutty, tropical flavor that goes so well with the pancakes. I’m not joking when I say that now I crave these pancakes… All the time. They’re really just that good. I made no real changes to the recipe, other then accidentally burning the toasted macadamia nuts ever so slightly. I suggest making the pineapple sauce first, allowing that to cook while preparing the pancakes. The nut butter keeps really, really well in the fridge and, as I’ve discovered, tastes good on everything. I’m almost embarrassed to share all the things I’ve put it on. A simple-to-make, insanely delicious pancake recipe that makes my house smell like the Polynesian? I may be in serious trouble… ~~~~ °o° ~~~~ In addition to the delicious food and recipes, Disney World is also known for its unique dining experiences, such as character dining and themed restaurants. Whether you want to have breakfast with Mickey Mouse, dine in a replica of a sci-fi drive-in theater at Hollywood Studios, or enjoy a meal with an ocean view at the Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot, there's something for everyone. And with the help of Recipes Today and the How to Make category, you can even recreate some of these magical dining experiences in your own home. About Cool Cat Cafe in Lahaina, Maui
Cool Cat Cafe has been voted Best Burger on Maui 13 years in a row! The retro, 1950s diner-style cafe is known for its burgers, pulled pork, fish tacos & people-watching. This airy eatery is located on the 2nd floor looking out over the Banyan Tree. Cool Cat Cafe uses a trademark blend of seasonings and spices in their belt-loosening selection of burgers and the bar is a colorful collection of boat crew who are cheerily drinking away their tips. For a Hawaiian-themed burger, spring for the “Don Ho” which is covered in a tasty teriyaki and pineapple. For a burger with avocado, the “Luna” features bacon, avocado, and melted Jack cheese, or test your taste buds with a spicy “La Bamba” where the burger is topped with chili, cheddar, and sweet Maui onions. Happy Hour at Cool Cat Cafe is 3pm-6pm daily featuring discounted beers, cocktails, and appetizers.
According to these Cool Cat Cafe Maui patrons
“We were there for happy hour and had the sliders, Mai Tais, the burger of the month which was called Merry Cheese I believe, chicken strips, and grilled cheese sandwich. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. The food was good and happy hour definitely helps. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for their burger fix.” Robert F., February 2023 “Love thus place. Great dinner, but I need to come back fir Happy hour to try fried avacoda wedges.” Rob M., January 2023 “Visited tonight and had a great experience. Arrived around 545pm which was perfect because we were able to get happy hour drinks and food in before the 6pm deadline. The music said it would start at 730 but the guy was set up and jamming by 630 with great island music. Alanna was our server and she was excellent. We got the 2 for $10 sliders, twice, so 4 sliders total which allowed us to try one of each. All were excellent. Would also recommend the “frings” half fries half onion rings, but I will say if you need to pick the onion rings were spectacular. Drinks were spot on as well! Check it out if you’re in Maui looking for a $50 dinner with drinks!” Gabriel M., December 2022 “A bit of a funky place in a good way. A bit noisy during happy hour but the burgers, shakes and the 1950s/1960s diner theme made up for it. Well priced by Lahaina standards, I would definitely go back to Cool Cat Cafe.” Philippe G., September 2023
