Neither saying anything, just watching your daughter with big smiles on your faces, braving the awkwardness for her.

Rani reached for you and you quickly brought her in for a hug. "Will you sing for me tonight ima?"

"Of course I will angel, I'll sing you to sleep like I've always have." Giving her one more hug and a kiss on the cheek you handed her back to your ex-husband and said your goodbye, watching them go.

The recent 911 episode got me thinking about what if Khaldun one day returns to the show and he reveals that he's Bi

I'm pro this in general bc of lowkey shipping Velasco/Khaldun.

But I don't want to equate it with Buck's storyline because Khaldun is a guest character who we know very little about, and Buck being canonically bi is a much bigger step in terms of representation and for all those fans who get to see themselves there. It's also long overdue and important for the character, so it's all very different conceptually.

Just throwing this random ship idea out there: Anya Avital x Hasim Khaldun. Hate Crimes work on a case that involves the feds and Anya is assigned to prosecute the case. After the case is over, the sergeant asks the state's attorney to drinks.

Could definitely see that! Would be a fun ship, though it doesn't seem like they're bringing Khaldun back anytime soon.

What are your thoughts on Hasim Khaldun?

Personally, I didn't like him when he first came cause I feared he would try and ruin Rollisi finally becoming canon. Right when she was more and more progressing and coming into terms with her feelings for him.

Looking back on it now that the ship is now endgame, Rollins would have/probably did compared Hasim to Carisi and saw that it was a real no brainer who to pick. It wasn't much of a competition. He's a nice guy, but she already had her eyes on another nice guy for years.

.....if they had brought him back last season, maybe he would of set his sights on Muncy instead. Saw some posts on tumblr and started shipping it. They are closer in age range and she's a young attractive woman with her hair down.

Like you, I wasn't a fan of Khaldun when he first appeared, for exactly the same reasons!

I think Amanda liked the attention he gave her, but I don't think she was ever really serious about anything developing between them. As you said, she already had her eye on someone else!

“Okay, since you’re such a great deducer—could you have deduced this?” You asked before pulling him in for a kiss.

Hasim stood there, hands out to his sides for a few short seconds before they wrapped around you, holding you close.

His lips kissing you so perfectly you felt you were seeing stars.

Only once you both pulled away for air did you realize what you’d just done.

“Shit—sarge I’m so sorry!” You said, hands flying up to cover your mouth.

If they had made Khaldun a detective instead of a sergeant they would of made him a member of the squad and take Carisi's spot and make him be Rollins' new partner. He would have occasionally flirt with her, but Rollins already knew deep down by 21x05 that she was in love with Carisi. She just wasn't ready yet to admit it out loud.

The two were just inevitable to be endgame

You rushed to the hospital as soon as you got the call about Hasim being admitted. You were always afraid something like this would happen when you learned he was a detective. And the call broke your heart.

When you showed up, a nurse pointed you in the direction of his room, and you hurried through the white hallways. But you stopped short when you saw a man sitting in a chair outside the room. He glanced up at you, and he could only be Hasim's father.

Hasim only asked you out a few months ago, and you had yet to meet his parents, but there was no denying the similar facial features. You knew the man was blunt but kind--and that he only spoke Arabic.

Being with Hasim, you had started studying Arabic; just the basics to show that you were interested in his culture. But you didn't know enough to have a full conversation with his father, and you were worried that your pronunciation would be subpar at best.

"I'm here to see Hasim?" you said in broken Arabic.

His dad's eyes widened slightly in surprise before he smiled softly, obviously happy that you spoke his language. He replied, but he spoke so fast, you didn't really catch what he said.

"Um..." you started, grasping for words. "He's my...boyfriend?"

At least, that's what you thought you said.

But his father's eyes narrowed, and his small smile became a frown. He said something loud and angrily at you, but you couldn't understand. You were starting to panic, feeling everyone's eyes turn and lock to you.

Mercifully, the door to Hasim's room opened, and a homey woman peeked out. She said something to Hasim's father before turning to you.

"You must be Hasim's girlfriend," she said in perfect English.

You smiled, though you were still mortified. "And you must be his mother. I see where he gets his good looks from."

She laughed, glancing back into the room. "I know you said she was a charmer, but I do like her already."

"Let her in, mama--please," you heard Hasim's voice reply.

His mom gestured for you to come in, and you took a wide berth around his father. His mom closed the door behind you, letting you and Hasim have some privacy.

"How are you?" you asked as you hurried to his side. Besides laying in a hospital bed, he looked perfectly fine, smile and all.

"Better now that you're here--the bullet just grazed me."

You took his hand in yours, giving him a squeeze. "Just met your dad--I think I said something wrong, though."

He raised an eyebrow. "What did you say?"

You repeated your words to him, and Hasim tilted his head back and laughed.

"What?! Did I not say you were my boyfriend?" you asked, panicked.

It took him a moment to stop laughing before he finally said, "no, but you did call me your whore."
