My name’s Caleb Lowe. I’m a male. I use he/him pronouns. I’m originally from Starlight Shores, but I lived in Bridgeport for a while before I moved to Moonlight Falls.

2. What do you do for fun?

I’m pretty athletic so I love to go for runs. It may be some of my wolf heritage coming out, but there is nothing better than the wind in my hair and the sun on my face.

3. Dean loves cold weather. What are your thoughts on it?

No.

4. Best place you’ve traveled to?

Isla Paradiso! The resorts are a lot of fun and the weather is amazing.

5. What are your thoughts on having children?

Sour gummy worms, or any kind of sour candy really.

7. Have you ever committed a crime or any illegal infraction?

There were a few incidents when I was younger. I mean all teenagers do dumb shit, right? Oh and before you ask, my family had nothing to do with that stuff in Bridgeport. If you want to investigate anyone look at those wack vampires.

8. What’s something your most proud of?

Probably my surfing skills. I love going to Isla Paradiso to catch some waves. Hopefully Dean likes a surfer dude type.

9. Thoughts on the Francis MMBC? If you didn’t watch it, answer this instead: What’s your favorite type of TV show?

Dude, that whole thing was out of control. I can’t believe it all actually happened. Troye fucked up big time.

10. Lastly, what was your drive to enter this BC?

I’ve always been a bit of a flirt, and Dean definitely caught my eye. I’m excited to make some new friends and hopefully find love.

Felicity: “An offer? F- for Elias?”

Cathy: “Exactly. As atrociously foolish as your brother’s been, their blabbermouth’s given me a great backup plan. The Boss can’t exactly spread despair very far right now; Mr Hart’s been holding out on her, so she’s gotta put all her resources there. So it’s up to me to take it beyond–”

Felicity: “Stop it! S- I don’t need - I don’t want to… just tell me how I can get Elias away fr- from - there.”

Cathy: “Elias, is your sister always this much of a killjoy?”

Elias: “N–”

Cathy: “Good, I love it! So, Felicity, here’s the deal. No one needs to know Elias’s up here. I’ve said it before, but our Ultimate can do great things with steel and latex; we can have a little duplicate of him running around town in no time. All you’ve got to do to make that happen? Turn that BC of yours into an MMBC. That’s all.”

Felicity: “What?!”

Cathy: “And I mean turn it all the way. If you decide to half-ass it, or get the authorities involved, or make it obvious it’s you like that idiot Caesar, it’s your brother that’ll suffer, not anyone important. You mess up once? Chadrick gets the knife.” 

Felicity: “No-!!”

Cathy: “You mess up twice? Chadrick gets the remote, Elias gets the knife, and… well, we don’t really need Riverview, do we? Strictly speaking? It’s not a swing state. Who’s going to miss it if our little Bob-omb wipes it off the map?” 

Felicity: *terrified breath*

Cathy: “Ooooh, yes, that’s the kind of despair I love to hear…”

Sylvia Greenwood for @jackssims' Baines MMBC

Sylvia comes from a mysterious fairy tribe living in the forests of Moonlight Falls. Her looks might imply she's only a little over 20, but this fairy has seen kingdoms rise and fall. Has that taught her anything? Well...she might be a walking history textbook but that's it. Sylvia retained her childish point of view and not even her quick temper faded with time. She loves to take risks - after all, history has never been written by cowards, right?

Her life with the tribe was simple: Flowers, flowers and flowers. When you've been alive for hundreds of years, it can get a little boring, especially since she’s always hoped for something else. Sylvia knew there is more than just taking care of nature and singing with animals. The Wise ones didn't approve, but on one sunny day in 1987, the fairy just disappeared. She might never go back, but that doesn't worry her at the moment. Sylvia found her place at the suburbs of Bridgeport where she embraced the wonders of modern world. She fell in love with technology. But the hardware can never hug you lovingly and software will never whisper sweet nonsense to your ears. And Sylvia has been feeling lonely...

Seeing so many people have found their one true love on the screen, what are the chances she'll find her soulmate in a BC too? Rumours say that once a fairy falls in love with a human and the human loves them back, they lose their immortality, but that surely is worth it for Sylvia. Death is just another adventure she has yet to see and explore.

"Will you judge me if I say one of my hobbies is trolling people on the internet? Yeah, I enjoy that, as well as getting into passionate discussions with strangers. Read as: wars in the comments. In fact, I spend a lot of time in front of the screen, playing videogames, binge watching various shows and simtubers...correct, I don't go outside very often anymore. Hey, not all fairies have to enjoy nature! I've had enough of that."

"I'll always remember what I've listened to when I came to Bridgeport. My heart will forever beat to the tune of 80's. Michael Jackson and Prince are my faves."

"I like her. Veronica. She's pretty. Also hey, after watching so many BCs, it's about damn time I join one too!"

"Well, I guess it's a nice bonus to be able to meet her. But I'm here for the bachelorette."

10. OOC Question: Any tips for writing your character?

Sylvia sometimes spits out random history facts. She also has the tendency to correct people when they're wrong about something she knows well (history, technology, TV shows and movies usually).

Also, she never specifies her age. Usually, she would say something like "I've been here for a while". The "It's rude to ask me how old I am" kind of thing works too.

A rebel at heart, from a young age Beth has always gone to the extreme in order to get what she wants. “Back when I did my gymnastics, I reached the highest level and went to the nationals! It was such a big deal for me.”

Introduce yourself! Your name, gender and pronouns, where you’re from, all that good stuff. Hiya! I’m Tonie - that’s with an I-E, not a Y. I’m genderfluid, and primarily use she/her and vae/vaer pronouns, I guess! Um, I prefer if you would switch between the two sets if possible, but I totally understand if anyone can’t for… any reason. No biggie! Uh, I’m from right here in Bridgep… er, technically I’m from one of the nearby towns, but I may as well be from Bridgeport, you know? Oh, and, um, I’m 26. *laughs* Hard to believe, I know I look like a 15-year-old kid, but I promise! Um, I think that’s it.

What do you do for fun? Oh jeez, nothing really exciting. I’m mostly a lie-in-bed-with-my-laptop-all-day kinda guy, you know? I do enjoy computers. A lot. Majored in them, even! Er, well, I dropped out in my junior year. But, you know, I tried to major in them! I kind of miss it, though. The whole university atmosphere, I mean. *continues as normal* If it weren’t for all of the class going on, I think I really would have thrived in uni.

Favorite genre of music? Favorite artist/band? Oh boy, I like just about anything! I really like kinda current stuff - Ugh, I know, I know, another Top 40 sheep? *laughs, shrugs* Guilty as charged.

Have you ever committed a crime or any illegal infraction? Well sure, in uni. Nothing serious, you know. Public intoxication, underage drinking in general, *mocking voice* “You’re not allowed to urinate in the bushes in front of the apartment building, Mx. Mallard”... So, like, technically crimes. But did I do anything wrong in the long term! No! ((She’s telling the truth here.))

What’s your favorite film genre? Is… it a bad thing that I don’t really watch movies? Oh shit, that was a dumb question, you’re literally movie stars. I… had not thought about that. Um, yeah, I’m more of a TV-show person than a movie person. I usually like mindless stuff, the kind of stuff I can run on Simflix in the background of other stuff.

What’s something you’re most proud of? *laughs* Okay, don’t tell anyone - these interviews are private, right? Okay, yeah, so, when I was, like, 17 or so, I hacked into my high school’s database to edit my GPA. Never got caught, either! It was pretty great. I mean, it’s not like I gave myself a 4.0 or anything, it’s not like it actually mattered… Oh, hey, I just realized that was also an illegal thing I did. Um, add that to my list of crimes. Doesn’t change anything up there though, not really!

Have you watched any MMBCs before? Katherine mentioned Francis, though there are plenty of others out there: Hart, Camisade, Ostkaka, etc. If you have or haven’t seen one, what are your opinions on them? I… watch them a lot. Oh gosh, this is gonna sound awful, but um… I watch a ton of BCs in general, because all of that mush and fluff is really great to have playing but not pay attention to. And the MMBCs are… way more interesting than the normal kind? I don’t know, they’re just really… entertaining. In a detached way. It’s like, I just don’t have to think about it being… real, you know? I can just kind of pretend it’s not an actual thing. It’s not that hard to do. And when you remove that aspect… They become really, really good. I’m also super good at predicting who the murderers are by now!

What was your reason to get in this BC? I… *almost inaudible* shit, no, can’t… *back to normal* I really wanted to meet Veronica! I mean, wow. To everything about her. WOW. And any excuse to get out of my shitty studio apartment, right? *laughs* I’m kidding! ((Vae is… kind of lying here. Vae literally applied for the first BC she saw because she wanted to be on TV and decided that this would be a good way to get it done. Not that she doesn’t like Veronica, because vae does! Vae just got… a bit lucky that such a lovely bacheloret was the first to run a commercial that week.))

Also, be honest: how much of your entry is to get a chance at meeting Katherine West? Oh, this is a little embarrassing, but I didn’t recognize her in the interview. I know who she is, it just didn’t quite register until a while later! So, technically, none of the entry had anything to do with Katherine West, because I didn’t know she was Katherine West. *snickers*

2. What do you do for fun?

“Fun?”

“I suppose...I like to work on cars. Any sort of car, any sort of transportation system I like to tinker with. This extends to other electronics, but I prefer to work on vehicles. There’s something different about them. Other than that...sometimes I read. Mostly nonfiction, nothing very exciting. I take walks. Nothing a star would probably be interested in, but it keeps me occupied.”

“I’m deaf.”

“Not specifically, no. I’ve worked on some cars I know weren’t obtained legally, but I never pried. Wouldn’t want to know. Snitches get stitches.”

“...Action flicks. With lots of car chases. What can I say? I like seeing what can be done in modern car chases.”

“The Jorginson car. Did you see the wreck photos? There wasn’t an inch left on that poor thing that wasn’t destroyed. We got it working again. I fixed up the engine. Now she purrs like a kitten. Or, so I’ve been told.”

“I haven’t seen many, and it’s mainly because broadcasting companies do a horrible job at subtitling these sort of things. I suppose it’s a matter of trying to keep as many secrets as possible, but I’m not going to stare at a screen for an hour trying to lipread when the main storyline happens /off-screen/. And really, they don’t interest me. If I want to see human suffering, I’d go outside. I caught a little bit of Francis and Hart just to see what the fuss was about, what with it being tied to what those brats are doing out in the streets.”

“Social interaction. Companionship. And I suppose a chance at love.”

“I prefer Katya West.”

OOC Question: Any tips for writing your character?

Varvara is very, very blunt. Since she has few friends, she doesn’t care what people think of what she says. She’s not cruel to be cruel, she just wants to speak her mind. Though, she knows enough social graces that she wouldn’t say something totally crass if she didn’t think it necessary.

I worry that she comes off as just here for the ride. She’s really not not interested in love. She’s just...very lonely and has no skills or inclination to admit that. Maybe in the midst of despair she can learn to open up. Hey, it could happen!

Introduce yourself! Your name, gender and pronouns, where you’re from, all that good stuff. “I’m Tsuneo Nagano--pronounced ‘tsu-ne-o’, not ‘tsu-ni-o’, thank you. Lots of people made that mistake over at Heights Uni and it was so-- grating. Uh, I’m 26, male--probably, I’m not really sure, I don’t know. He pronouns. I’m from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Not a Simlish citizen. I came all the way from Japan to enter this BC. Feel special yet?”

What do you do for fun? “I usually just... mindlessly browse the Internet. Or watch TV. I have a kind of demanding career--I’m a social worker--so a lot of my free time is spent just trying to unwind. Trying not to literally work myself to death. My creepy aunt says I should let loose a little, but I... don’t... have... the time... or the energy. I did bowl a lot in college, though.”

Favorite genre of music? Favorite artist/band? "Visual kei, mostly. Which isn’t really one genre anymore, but... the sound usually associated with visual kei. MUCC, The Gazette, X Japan, those sorts. Favorite... not sure. I also listen to Western punk rock and metal sometimes.”

Have you ever committed a crime or any illegal infraction? “Uh. I and some of my college friends drank underage a few times. After we got caught once, I stopped drinking because I started worrying I’d be kicked out of school and then kicked out of SimNation if I got caught too many times. Nothing else, though. Haven’t done anything serious.” ((He’s telling the truth here.))

What’s your favorite film genre? “I can spend entire days doing nothing but watching period dramas if I have the time.”

What’s something your most proud of? “What do I have to be proud of? ...People tell me my Simlish is pretty good for a second language, which sounds like a... what’s the word... a backhanded compliment to me, but... [shrug] ...Coworkers also tell me that I’m surprisingly good with clients. ...That also sounds backhanded.”

Have you watched any MMBCs before? Katherine mentioned Francis, though there are plenty of others out there: Hart, Camisade, Ostkaka, etc. If you have or haven’t seen one, what are your opinions on them? “Uh... I haven’t watched any. It’s not really a thing in Japan. We don’t really do BCs at all--not that I’ve heard of. I’ve heard of MMBCs, though. Through my cousin. Not enough to have an opinion besides ‘murder is bad’.”

What was your reason to get in this BC? “To... compete... in the BC?” That’s pretty vague. “...I don’t see what’s so hard to understand about that.”

Also, be honest: how much of your entry is to get a chance at meeting Katherine West? “Didn’t know who she was until finding the BC.”

OOC Question: Any tips for writing your character? ((Tsuneo’s a much better person with social work clients than he is off the job, I’ll say that. Off the job, he seldom puts anyone else’s needs above his own (unless he cares about them--see, him traveling to SimNation in the first place, potentially putting himself in danger for all he knew, to see if he should be worried about Masae), and will in fact throw others under the bus or use others for his own benefit if he feels the need. Particularly, he has little respect for others’ secrets. He does have some semblance of a conscience, though. He wouldn’t put anyone directly in harm’s way... at least, he thinks he wouldn’t. Who knows where the BC environment will take him? He’s also rather good at keeping his more extreme emotions under wraps. He’s also a good liar, even if he doesn’t lie often. (He rarely feels the need to. Back to the secrets thing, it’s usually telling the truth that really sucks for others. Generally, if it benefits him to lie--like, say, if he ends up as The Baines MMBC Murderer--he’ll lie, and if the truth benefits him, he’ll tell the truth, promises be damned.) On a lighter note, he occasionally forgets words in Simlish for a second. Ignore that, play it for laughs, use it to complicate alibis, whatever. Also, if he does ever figure out his gender, he’ll probably end up as a male-aligned nonbinary person of some sort, if you ever want to have him think about or talk about that. Another note that doesn’t fit anywhere else: he very rarely swears (in English-dubbed-Simlish or in Japanese (though apparently there aren’t really swear words in Japanese the same way there are in English?)). He doesn’t have much of a reason for this, he doesn’t mind if others do, and he doesn’t act somehow superior to others for not swearing, he just... has an oddly clean vocabulary. 99% of the rare occasions when he does, it’ll probably just be the word “hell”. (Though, if you think the time is right, do feel free to drop in a Precision F-Strike.) Oh, this won’t help much, but if you’re curious (or if anyone else reading is), Tsuneo rarely sees Masae (or Masato, or Yusa when she was alive). Before college, the diminished triad’s parents rarely invited the family to visit or showed up at gatherings (which struck Tsuneo as Really Fucking Weird, but he kept his mouth shut), and after college, he was just too busy to worry about extended family. He does listen to Masae’s radio show and follow her on social media, though.))

Hi, I’m Harris, Kiran Harris. I’m a cisgender male, gay, and originally from Monte Vista.  I like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and James Bond movies. I’m also pretty handy with a wrench.

…I meant that literally. A literal wrench. You know, whatever.

2. What do you do for fun?

Sports! Soccer, basketball, golf, frisbee, ping pong, wind surfing, snowboarding, skating, martial arts, you name it. I got my degree in physical education. I also like tinkering, mucking around in the garage with wires and gears and junk. And I’m a fiend for reality TV shows. (Did you see that last episode of Simvivor?!)

3. Dean loves cold weather. What are your thoughts on it?

Where’s my snowboard? Let’s go!

4. Best place you’ve traveled to?

This is gonna sound weird, but there was this airport on our way home from… I don’t even remember where, but the airport! We found this tiny Indian restaurant that had the BEST aloo masala curry. Changed my life. Then our flight got delayed so we booked massages at this spa in the terminal, and afterwards we ended up hidden in the back of a bookstore, totally blissed out post-massage, reading stupid passages from romance novels out loud and trying to see who could get the most glares from the cashier. They kicked us out after one too many uses of the word “turgid.” It was great.

5. What are your thoughts on having children?

Someday.

6. Favorite candy?

Sprees.

7. Have you ever committed a crime or any illegal infraction?

Speeding tickets. I did once break into a car that wasn’t mine. And I may have “accidentally” released all the frogs in the science lab back in high school. They never could pin it down on me, though. Oh, and there was the egging incident with those f***ing narrow-minded bigots we had for neighbors… let’s just say I’ve walked on the wild side, but it’s the straight and narrow for me these days. Well, not straight… but you know what I mean.

8. What’s something your most proud of?

I was voted “Most Likely to be Electrocuted” in high school and it is, to this day, the best and only superlative I have ever received.

TROYE DONE F***ED UP. That was sick, man. Totally sick.

Well… the airport thing? The “we” ended pretty badly. Like, “Professor Plum with the wrench in the library” badly. Only it wasn’t my wrench, if you know what I mean. Things got pretty messed up there for a while, but I’m out and ready for something new and totally different.

Spencer Keaney for @jackssims‘s Hart MMBC!

Spencer is pretty emotional. He can overreact a bit, especially if something big happens and it’s often hard to calm him down afterwards. No matter if it’s happiness, sadness or anger, the emotions stays with him all day, making it hard for him to do something without his mood influencing his choices. Crying out of sheer frustration isn’t uncommon for him.

But there’s one thing that does calm Spencer down. Cooking. Spencer loves to cook, and when he’s in the kitchen, he can forget why he was feeling so strongly before. He mostly make vegetarian dishes, as he is a vegetarian himself.

Lastly he hopes to impress Dean Hart! They are both good at cooking and ambitious, so they can bond over that, at least that’s what Spencer hopes. Dean seems nice, so the BC is worth a chance!

“Heya! My name is Aliza Crimson Rinne, feel free to call me Lizzie, and I am a female [she/her] Berry fairy from only the best place ever - Lucky Charms*!!”

2. What do you do for fun?

“Oh sweetie, I am all about the nightlife! I love seeing how people change once the sun goes down. It’s like every night is a celebration of life itself! Oh, I guess I go to the dog park sometimes too… Yeah, I know I don’t own a dog, it’s only because my landlord won’t allow them!”

3. Dean loves cold weather. What are your thoughts on it?

“Honestly, I’m more into Summer… But I like snow! Who doesn’t love a snowball fight?!”

“Okay so, like, there was this one time I went Nectar tasting in Champs Les Sims. They treat their drinks so mature and stuff over there, I love it! But honestly, nothing compares to my Lucky Charms.”

“I’d like to think I could have a Mini-Me flying around one day, but I don’t see it happening any time soon. Maybe once I win Dean’s heart over, I could be swayed into it?”

“Pffft, who me?! Come on, I may like my drinks, but I’m too boring to do anything that wild!”**

“Honestly? Just being in my job is enough for me. Everyone says it’s a really shady place to be, but they only see it from the tabloids. Once people step back and see what we’re doing for our community, and when they truly admire our work, that’s when I really feel like I’ve accomplished something!”

9. Thoughts on the Francis MMBC? If you didn’t watch it, answer this instead: What’s your favorite type of TV show?

“Okay, let’s cut the crap and be real for a moment here. We all know those deaths were fake. There’s too much paperwork involved with that kind of stuff, not to mention all the payouts related to insurances and grievances; surely there can’t be any profit in it at all. Why go through all of that for the sake of a cheap giggle? …Good show, though.”

10. Lastly, what was your drive to enter this BC?

“Well, I know a few friends of mine met their soulmate through their own BC’s, and I am reaching the point of my life where I have to find Mr. Rinne. Honestly, I never thought I’d dip my toe into this sort of thing, but have you seen Dean?! There’s no way I could pass that up!!”***

** OOC: Ehh, that’s a bit of a lie. She regularly finds herself talking to the cops on her nights out. Not because of any serious incidents, she’s just a massive pain in the arse when she’s drunk and tends to react badly to being told she can’t have any more drinks.

*** OOC: For real? There’s only one word to describe her incentive: EXPOSURE. She wants to be the next big thing when it comes to modelling but being too berry and too fairy tends to work against her, and compared to other Berries, she only looks “average”, so the next best step is to branch out into the “Vanilla” world.

Shall we try the Death Archives thing again?

I think I’ve left it for a sufficient time that we can do this.

Across all known MMBCs, including the abandoned ones, we have 179 contestants who are still alive and competing, 213 who are dead (including one migrating from the first category), 37 with-a-38th-coming who are pending for current projects (ditto the last brackets), and eleven, all mine, who are pending for possible, or probable, future MMBC entries.

The total of confirmed alive and dead is 392; including the current-pending, the total is 429; including the future-pending, it’s 440. Going from the last time I talked about this eight or nine months ago, this is a respective numbers increase of 69 alive and 63 dead, and a complete-total increase of 144.

(McNair contestants are still counted as all alive for this purpose.)

The number of floater deaths - which, for the uninitiated, are deaths of individuals involved in MMBCs that aren’t exactly contestants, such as cohosts or external murderers - has gone up to ten from six. The new ones are Eleanor Voss and Just of Von Aleshire, Seth Diamond of Francis, and Cheyenne Butler of Collins. Without their inclusion, the total dead would be 203.

Discounting the five floater deaths that overlap with this category through their own killings, the number of known murderers across all MMBCs is 23 - a stark leap from the twelve of last time. Of those from completed projects, I believe five of them are still alive: Alice Juster from Hart, Chadrick Waite from Francis, Christiano Verde from Knight, Raina Mukherjee from Von Aleshire, and Tangelo Teahouse from the concluded-but-not-completed Galactic.

There’s a sixth still alive that I explicitly know the identity of... however, that murderer is the one for SoS MM BC, so I’m obviously not gonna tell you who that one is. From now on, when the word “murderers” is used statistically, it will not include this person among them.

Na na na-na na.

Out of all completed MMBCs, Von Aleshire has the most contestant-based survivors, on account of being a double MMBC: Raina, Dominic Windham III, and Aisling Bellamy. (Being a triple, I suspect that Hathorne will either match or exceed this total, but I Could Be Wrong.) As before, Moon-Blackberry and Angelo are the only MMBCs with contestant survivors that are neither winners nor murderers*: indeed, Lyra Maurer remains the only contestant to be eliminated from such a project through the “under -20 relationship” clause.

I’ve honestly lost track of how many of these Sims are supposed to be in Valhalla, and frankly, I am running out of room for them. Ergo, I’ll probably suspend the inclusion of any more of the dead in the active Valhalla StoryProgression circle - with the exception of SoS deaths, of course, plus one or two besides - until Hopelessness and Paranormal are indeed lifted. They are still going to be in Valhalla, don’t get me wrong; they just won’t be interactable in a gameplay sense. I really need to focus on Amelia’s story and that of the existing Valhalla residents right now, so I can be better and improve and be better.

A bewildering SIXTY-FOUR Sims, dead or alive, have names beginning with C, an increase of twenty since last time. Accordingly, C has the highest ratio of murderers to a letter, with five / seven: Caesar Clamato of Camisade, Camille Mist Sparta of Heliotrope, Chadrick, Charlie Fuentes of Chambers, Christiano, and Cheyenne and Cupid Hawthorne as floaters. It also has three winners to it: Cecil Amity of Ferox, Chadrick, and Cordelia Chicory Veil of Collins (who has not yet become Rafferty).

Chadrick Waite is the only Sim currently in the archives to simultaneously straddle the Murderer and Winner categories.

Five of all of the C sims are mine - Carl, Casey-Mae, Castor, Cordelia, Cree.

The letter A ties with C as having the most winners, with three out of its thirty-eight: Aisling, Anemone Shell of Moon-Blackberry, and Annie Kayse of Chambers. It also contains the second most murderers, another three: Amelia Ruth Limerence, Alice, and Asha Malik of Collins.

The letters D, N, P and S each contain two winners; K, L, O, R and V contain one each. N and P also contain two murderers, alongside B and G; E, H, J, M, R, T and V contain one each with floaters.

The B column contains the most ‘pending’ Sims with five, including one of mine; C, E, M, S, and tentatively R have four each. (Tentatively, because one of the Rs, mine, is merely a placeholder name until the MMBC runner I send her to approves of a different one.)

The most common first names in MMBCs, outside of Katherine, are Daisy (Harlow, MacGregor, and Olson), Felicity (Dubose, Harrison and Rose), Poppy (Blaze, Citrus and Reaves), and Scarlet (Caramel Creme, Rancune, and Tides, plus Scarlett Carnelian). The most common surnames, outside of West, are Chanel (Charlotte, Holly, and Shelley), Eklund (Anissa Alea, Mollie, and Racheal), Ivy (Claudia, Esmeralda, and Junpei), and Rose (Baxtor, Candy, and Felicity again). There are of course several names that can be abbreviated into similar ones - five beginning with Alex, for instance - but the above are the most common with that exact spelling.

If we’re going to be technical, the most common surname on the list is a lack of one! Just, Lithodora, Pomona, and Sprite all appear on a solely-first-name basis.

First names that occur two times are Alex on its own, Annalise, Betsy, Callie, Cynthia, Helena, Iris, Joey, Julian, June, Lady, Laurel, Lily, Percy, Scott, Seth (del Bosque and Diamond), and Sylvia.

Last names that occur two times are Arsenic, Butler, del Bosque, Didit, Ebonywood, Flynn, Greenwood, Haynes, Jernigan, Kang, Lust, Maple, McCabe, Rain, Rancune, Romero, Rothschild, Sparks, Stevens, Westwood, Wilcox, Winston, and Zest. The Arsenics, Chanels, del Bosques, Didits, Ebonywoods, Eklunds, Jernigans, Lusts, Rancunes, and Rothschilds are all related to each other to some degree; the Butlers, Flynns, Greenwoods, Haynes, Ivys, Kangs, Maples, McCabes, Rains, Romeros, Roses, Sparks, Stevens, Westwoods, probably Wilcoxes, Winstons, and Zests are not. Confused yet?

The Sim called Independence is still alive.

Faux starvation (guns, cowplants or knives) remains the most frequent death, having appeared thirty-two times across sixteen unique MMBCs - thirty-four if you count Amelia and Laurel. Six are cowplant deaths, fifteen / sixteen are stabbings, one is a decapitation after a botched stabbing, eight involve guns, one is / two are a slit throat... and Edmond’s was Boot to the Head.

Fire appears twenty-four times, across nineteen unique MMBCs. Interestingly, only the Goth MMBC has the death not be caused by the fire directly, but rather specifies that Ladonna died of “smoke inhalation”.

The most common first cause of death in an MMBC is also fire, it having opened nine of them if we count Galactic’s opening double-death gambit as a single instance. The next most common is Blunt Force Trauma, at five times.

Of the known dead murderers, the most common way for them to die is by stabbing or gunshot (this still includes Hortense, despite the differing ghost look).

There have been fifteen double-deaths in MMBCs; only those of Dublin-and-Junior and Alex-and-Dalton have the causes of death differ between the two. Phantom had the most true double-deaths, with two in quick succession: While Hawthorne and Von Aleshire had an equal amount, Cupid and Eleanor Voss were involved in two of the respective double deaths, and they were not contestants, while all of Phantom’s involved contestants. There have still been only two triple deaths in MMBC history.

There are three Sims with unique death causes / ghost colors within the MMBC context: Charlie, Chokecherry, and Whisper. Reef lost his unique color, Mummy’s Curse, to Fae Bricks’ own poisoning.

Blunt Force Trauma and Jellybean now have eighteen deaths between them - though for the latter, Daisy Olson’s death is counted as that despite it either being a starvation or a stabbing. Weird. The next most common deaths are Drowning and Electrocution, at 17 each.

There are currently sixteen completed MMBCs, nine currently still happening as far as I know, three preparing to start, eleven discontinued, and ten that may be happening in the future that I know about / have names for. This is a total of forty-nine* MMBCs at this moment in time.

* = Fifty-one, if you count the two Sims 4-exclusive ones that may or may not still be happening, the one by yoongisims and the one by the one who originally ran Bucket. I don’t know if they’re still happening or will even start or what, so I’m hesitant to count them until there is actually proof of a beginning for either of them.

I’ve entered Sims into thirty of the thirty-nine MMBCs that are currently known about and ‘public’; ten of them are dead. I have three BFTs, two drowning ghosts, a jellybean ghost, two Buried Alive ghosts, a freezing ghost, and a stabbing ghost. I also have a BFT from Chambers, Dub, and a would-be-stabbing from Limerence, Amelia. I don’t know if any of my creations are going to die in SoS yet...

I also have three Sims alive by victory, gorgeous Lyra alive by conventional elimination, five by current circulation, three by their not having started yet, seven (plus Sera’s first iteration) by oblivion, and my eleven pending. That’s nineteen to thirty-one alive to ten dead, depending on how you look at it.

Sera was one of the four mooted Powers contestants to go on to other projects, and of those four, she is the only one to have died. Lichen Hara is still alive in the same project as Sera, Alice Juster was Hart’s killer, and Regina Largo is en route to Baines.

The MMBCs I missed out on entering are Steele, Francis, Mirage (Shipwrecked Passion), Heliotrope, Bucket (Sims 4), and Phantom. Of these six, only Steele and Francis are complete, and the last three all ended prematurely.

I have run two MMBCs in the past, and am in the process of running another one. I also have six projects slated for the future: Roach, Teufel, Jernigan, Pritchett / Celare, Last Chance, and [redacted]. Vidcund has completed four in the past, is running four at once now, and has at least two ‘named’ ones in my archives for the future, though I’m sure he has many more ideas that he hasn’t told you about, and even some she hasn’t even told me. Jack is quickly rising up the ranks of prolific, having run two and about to properly start a third. Eighteen of the known MMBCs - nineteen including Wormwood - have been ‘single attempts at the concept’ so far.
