Thinking about Jones saying that he and Alex were smoking Cuban cigars while Cathy was giving birth to Sammy.

Literally the only way I could see this happening without it being extremely out of character for Alex, is because he was freaking out, (the only reason he wouldn't be with Cathy is bc he's squeamish af but he feels guilty for not being there).

Jones offers the cigar, Alex takes one huff and then just gags and runs to the bathroom to throw up.

2024 ended with two separate heated arguments with two different family members.

So, 2025 is starting off with a bang: loudly expressed grievances, unresolved problems, lingering resentments, and no apologies.

Add a new fascist administration and growing paranoia into the mix. 2025 is shaping up to be a wild ride.

I can tell I'm going to be needing a little more Prozac and a lot more pot this year.

it's currently new years somewhere over the atlantic, and in roughly five-ish hours it will be new years somewhere over the pacific. i know fish dont keep track of a calendar year, but i hope that the ones in the deep are feasting on a brilliant whale fall, and i hope all of the other ones are happy and full of food and drunk off of whatever fish get drunk off. i know that it's not true, but it makes me feel good to imagine all the birds and animals and insects and creatures celebrating another turn around the sun.
