Everyone knew about the infamous RK800.
The last most developed and intelligent android produced by Cyberlife.
A machine built to hunt its prey and to always accomplish his mission.
But now?
A confused man sitting at his desk, elbows on the surface as he ran the fourth diagnostic this morning.
Connor was never really taught how to feel his emotions, considering that he was forced to compress them from the moment he was made. If he were to feel any sort of emotion, it was either to the scrap factory for him or a hard lecture from Amanda.
But Amanda was gone, and androids were free to express any emotion they pleased.
Itâs been weeks since Markus hit the headlines for his famous android revolution. He worked with the government extensively to pass bills in order to settle android rights for the country. Connor, on the other hand, continued to work with the DPD as a full-on detective under the supervision of Liutenant Hank Anderson. Hank was more than just a coworker, but a father figure to Connor. And that brought Connor joy, an emotion Connor was well aquainted of.
But not the feeling he was experiencing now.
Connor couldnât get his mind off a certain someone who had joined the team a bit before the revolution. You had joined a week prior, and honestly, you were kind of regretting it. As android and human tensions rose, you were on duty 24/7. Originally, you were supposed to start easy with basic patrol around a part of a city, but because you were so impatient in doing the âbig kid stuffâ you found yourself frequently in the middle of the android and human discourse. Your shifts nearly lasted twelve hours, and you would be absolutely exhausted.
Things are different now. Sure, there were still some situations between the two sides, but it was definitely peace compared to literal boycotts. You sat at your desk idly scrolling through your past cases, making sure that all the information was correct and accurate. On the other side of your desk was a tablet full of notes you had taken after some cases you had to deal with. What you didnât notice was the android detective constantly glancing at you, watching your every move to see if maybe, at some point, you would notice him.
A loud groan echoing from the desk in front of Connor made him jump, immediately turning his attention to his lieutenant taking a seat in his chair. âFucking hell..â Hank sighed. âFowler does nothing but my bust my balls these days, huh?â Connor stared at his partner with his hands folded in his lap and eyebrows furrowed.
âIs everything okay, Lieutenant?â Connor asked, tilting his head.
âItâs nothing too serious. Fowler just wants me to take the rookie on our next homicide case. He insisted that they would be a perfect addition to the team or whatever.â Hank groaned. âNow Iâm responsible for two of you fucks.â
Connor, admittedly, felt his thirium pump racing. You? As part of the team? It was almost like he could overheat and shutdown momentarily right now. âI think they would be a great addition to the team.â Connor stated, biting back from smiling. âThey have an excellent track record of solving cases in an orderly and timely manner, has caught every perpretrator with their undercover skills, and had a reputation back in their training classes as one of the top students.â He explained. Hank looked over as he was slouched in his seat with arms folded across his chest.
âJesus, Connor, you sound like some creep searching up their name on Google.â Hank scoffed, half smiling. Though this caught Connor a little offâ was he being creepy? He didnât want to leave a bad impression on you, especially now that you're about to meet for the first time. His face scrunched up in anxiety, feeling as if he made a mistake. Hank immediately took notice and sat up. âAhâ I was just joking, Connor. Iâm sure you have uh.. Good intentions.â Hank reassured, though he never said he was exactly good at it.
Hank looked over to you, seeing that you were preoccupied with work despite the fact you havenât been on a case in a few days now. Hank looked at Connor. âWell.. Why donât you introduce yourself to them.â Hank suggested, nodding his head over to you.
Connor immediately jolted his head up, a little wide-eyed to even suggest such. âO-Of course.â Connor stuttered out. Connor never stuttered, and though Hank was in a mood after his exchange with Fowler, he certainly didnât leave that unnoticed.
âDid you just stutter?â Hank asked, a little amused. âAre you.. Nervous?â
âOf course not, Lieutenant,â Connor replied as steadily as possible. âI am an android.â
âConnor.â
âYes?â Connor replied, mindlessly.
âYouâre a deviant, for fucks sake.â
âOh.â
Connor, to avoid anymore embarassment from the man he deemed his father figure, swiftly got up and started to approach you. Hank watched in pure amusement, not even wanting to stop the boy from probably embarassing himself even further, but at least Hank had some faith in him. He is Detroitâs best god damn detective.
âHello, Officer (l/n). My name is Connor. It is nice to meet you.â Connor said, putting his hand out for a shake. You looked up from your computer screen only to be met with the most chocolate eyes youâve ever had the privilege of being in the prescence of. He smiled politely, but behind that smile he thanked Elijah that androids could not sweat, otherwise you wouldâve felt the claminess of his palm.
You took his hand and shook it firmly. âA pleasure to make your aquaintance. My name is (y/n).â You smiled generously, and wow, did Connor felt like his pump couldnât get any faster.. He cleared his throat before darting his eyes to the unoccupied chair that sat next to your desk.
âMay I?â Connor asked, gesturing towards the seat.
âOf course, Iâm not doing much anyway.â You nodded. Connor took a seat, and for some reason, he struggled to even maintain his balance as he sat himself down. He nearly had to think about how to fold his hands before placing them firmly on his laps and looking at you. Thankfully, you barely realized any sort of struggle as you looked away to take a swig of your morning coffee.
âSo..â you said, clasping your hands. âAm I in trouble or anything?â you joked. Connor immediately shot his head up, worried he had made the wrong impression.
âOh, noâ Iââ Before Connor could sputter out an explanation, you tilted your head a little and started laughing.
âRelax! I was just kidding!â You playfully waved off. Connorâs shoulders immediately relaxed as a breath he didnât even know he was holding back escaped his lips. You looked at him curiously, a smile still resting on your face.
âIâm sorry. Usually, I am not like this.â He said, shaking his head a little in embarassment. He was always on his A game and constantly prepared. Why were you the reason for this disruption. âI.. Uh..â He couldnât think of anymore to say. Suddenly, he got a message through his LED.
NEW MESSAGE:
HANK: tell them u think theyre pretty.
Connor blinked a bit, registering the text message. Hank was at a perfect view watching this unfold. The back of your head was visible but he could see all of Connorâs reactions, who desperately tried to maintain a polite smile.
âI think youâre very pretty, (y/n).â Connor complimented.
âOhâ ahââ A subtle blush began to form on your cheeks as your eyes widen a little, not expecting a compliment from a handsome android such as Connor. âWhy thank you, Connor. I wasnât expecting that as our first conversation.â You chuckled a little. âYouâre not too bad yourself.â
Thirium was rushing through his circuits and to his cheeks. The faintest color of blue appeared dusted on his face. âThank you.â He maintained a calm, neutral voice. They stared at each other for a minute, sort of registering the sort of corny first conversation the two of you had.
âAh.. I almost forgot to mention.â Connor snapped back to reality. âI came here to introduce myself sfter I heard that you were joining our team on our next investigation. Itâs good to make an aquaintance with our future team member.â Connor smiled politely.
âWhy thank you. I am very excited to work with you and Lieutenant Anderson.â You nodded. âThough I will miss working with Gavin and Chrisâ team.â
Ah, thatâs right. You used to work with Gavin. It almost left a bad taste in Connorâs mouth knowing that Gavin probably spat some awful opinions about him to you. Though from the looks of it, you were enjoying your conversation with him which eased him.
âI promise we will a provide a welcoming and safe space in our team, and of course, to make sure you donât come into harms way.â Connor assured. Though he was mainly promising this to you personally. God forbids Connor seeing you get hurt.
âWhy thank you, Connor.â You said, tilting your head. Connor was rather intriguing to youâ an android acting this way around you. His LED constantly switched between yellow and blue as if he was making sure to process every word you uttered. Yet he was so humanâ he would scratch the back of his neck, fidget with his fingers, and shuffle a bit in his seat. You would think someone as advanced as him would at least be able to have a composure, but he was different. It was something you admired about him.
â(l/n), in my office!â Captain Fowler called from the balcony of his room. You looked over to Connor before sighing.
âWell, boss is calling me. Iâll talk to you afterwards?â You suggested as you stood from your seat.
âOf course.â Connor replied, shielding his excitement. He stood up from his chair as well. âIâd be happy to talk again, (y/n).â
âLikewise.â You winked. With that, you left your desk and headed straight to Fowlerâs office. Connor stood shellshocked. Did you just.. Wink at him?! Connorâs eyes slowly drifted to Hank, who was chuckling heartily. He gave Connor an assuring thumbs up as Connor made his way back to their desks.
âYouâd be a shit detective if this is how you acted all the time.â Hank snickered. Connor grinned a little before taking a seat back at his desk.
âI know.â Connor sighed, leaning a little back in his chair. He at you through the glass walls, noticing your upright posture and the way you listened intently to Captain Fowlerâs words. He looked over to Hank before thinning his lips.
âLieutenant?â Connor asked.
âWhat is it, son?â
âWhat am I.. Feeling right now?â Connor asked, a little lost on how to explain it. âI can only think about themâ only envision them when I close my eyes. I get nervous and its like my programming has reduced to 0s and 1s.â He sighed, hell, even a little frustrated that you had this affect on him.
Hank with a wide smile, shook his head and looked at Connor with a knowing stare. Connor looked up, both lost while desperate for an answer and maybe even a cure. Hank sat up and made sure to look at Connor right in the yes.
âConnor,â Hank sighed, grinning. âSon, that feeling your experiencing is called love. And your plastic ass better get used to it.â

Dating them would include // DBH Headcanons
Authors note: I miss my DBH boys, what more can I say?
Characters: Connor, Markus, Hank, and Ralph
â ïž Warnings â ïž: Mentions of making out and mentions of Ralph getting a little too silly (aka having one of his anger outbursts)
đȘ Connor đȘ
-many, many, many, MANY forehead kisses
-Mans is like, 6ft, so chances are he might be taller than you and therefore would love to give you forehead kisses
-He especially likes to kiss you on the forehead as a way to say goodbye and hello
-Loves it when you kiss him along his jaw or neck. And when I say he loves it he LOVES IT
-Mix that with petting/massaging his scalp and watch him absolutely m e l t
-Love language is touch and I will die on that hill
-He loves any type of touch. Especially hugging you from behind or just anything that involves wrapping his arms around you
-He doesnât mind cuddling but not for too long because he likes to move around
-Will brag about you when given the chance to literally anyone that listens
âźïž Markus âźïž
-Acts of Service. I will also die on this hill
-He looooves doing things for you, he doesnât care if you can do them yourself
-If heâs taller than you heâll deliberately put things on the top shelf just so you ask him to help you
-Definitely either carries you out of bed in the morning for breakfast or just brings the breakfast to you
-If you like doing things yourself tho, heâll reluctantly back off and just give you encouraging words on whatever it is your doing
-Definitely an encouraging bf
-Whatever it is that you do, heâs your #1 fan the whole way
- Loves to play you some piano and if youâre interested in learning, heâll teach you his favorite songs
-A little bit of a cuddle bug
-His favorite spot to cuddle you would definitely be in front of a fireplace, itâs just so serene
đ¶ Hank đ¶
-Heâs such a grump that admitting his love language would take a while
-Buut his love language I feel like would be words of affirmation
-I feel like this man just adores it whenever you compliment him or just praise him in anyway
-tries to hide the fact that he likes the praise fails miserably
-Heâs. So. Awkward about it. By âitâ I mean everything
-Awkward about talking to you when he had a crush on you, awkward about showing affection once you two got together, ect.
-But once you two progress through the relationship, he gets more comfortable with you
-You knew he was completely comfortable with you when he pulled you to sit onto his lap
-Only does stuff like this when your both alone tho
-Mostly because he can get pretty handsy when you both are close like that
-Especially if your making out
-Not a huge fan of PDA so the most he would do is a quick peck on the cheek or a hand on the small of your back
đż Ralph đż
-One word. C l i n g y
-He just loves being around you. Once he got past the fear of meeting you for the first time, he just canât seem to leave you alone
-Of course heâll give you your space if you ask but if you donât make any indication you want him to leave you alone. He wonât
-When you two are in private, heâs cuddling with you, sitting you on his lap (or vice versa), kissing you
-Or just chillin beside you, enjoying each others presence
-In public I feel like the most heâll do is hold your hand or hug you
-He gets extremely flustered doing any other couple-y stuff in front of people
-Loooooves gifting you all types of plants
-And loves making flower bouquets for you whenever he gets the chance
-And if you get him a plant of some sort? He looks like he might explode from excitement
-He may have one of his outbursts every now and then but he always apologizes afterwards
-Itâs really sweet seeing him try to get better at controlling his outbursts because he knows how they upset you

Where/how I feel like they would take you out on a first date!!!
Connor; he did alot of research on your favorite things and what humans usually liked to do, especially on a first date. He figured it would be nice to just talk with you and bring you out to a park for a walk, maybe sit down and hold hands or something. He's definitely very vanilla when it comes to dates, but he's still trying!!
Markus; definitely takes you to somewhere fun. Wether that be an arcade, a carnival or fair, he just wants the both of you to have fun together. He likes seeing you happy, plus he would like to try stuff like games and fun things with you <3
Kara; would probably prefer to stay somewhere safer like inside, but you could convince her to go out if you really tried. She just wants the both of you to be okay and safe. Would make some food for you and watch TV and cuddle sm đ
Simon; sweet boy oml. Would do probably anything for you, would stay inside, take you out, buy you stuff, anything!! Being a domestic model for kids, he probably knows how to cook decently too. Asks for a hug and maybe a kiss after the date đ€
Gavin; Prick, but he does semi care. Might take you out to get a burger or a coffee if he's feeling generous, but would actually care about what you want. Would share his food or drink with you, it's like a love language for him at this point. Basically demands you two hold hands or lock arms
Hank; he thinks he's too old for dating anymore, so he would let you pick and drag him around to a store or around town. Like gavin, would definitely appreciate it if you two stopper and got some lunch while out. Giving Sumo a bath is like a date for you two, he really needs help washing the big dog đ
North; she might act like she doesn't care, she kinda does. She wants to do what she mostly wants to do, but also takes your thoughts into consideration. You two will probably cause some trouble around town or mess with some of the other androids in Jericho or town. She loves getting closer to someone while having fun <3
Ralph; LET HIM DO IT FOR YOU đ he will be so sad if you try to plan against his plans. If he's going out with you, you already have him trusting you alot. Will accidentally rant about plants the entire time since he feels like he can share it to you. Definitely wants to garden with you, and will try to cook (he really does try his best)
Elijah; he's rich, he's gonna treat you like royalty (probably). Honestly I think he knows how to cook, but be might make one of his other androids cook something for the two of you. Would probably build an android just for you as a sign of affection or some shi đ let's you run his credit card up
Daniel; he really, really cares about everything. If it's an at home date, he will clean the entire place and made it look amazing and set up a little area for a date. Probably wants to build a pillow fort. If you two go out, he will be a little anxious and holding his hand makes him feel alot better <3
Nines; honestly probably doesn't like dates too much, will complain the entire time but does go with you if you go out, wants to make sure you're not being stupid. Will want to have a long conversation about anything, and will more than likely want to be next to you no matter what during/after the date wherever yall went
Luther; huge sweetheart fr đ would love to stay home and cuddle or just take care of anything you need. He loves to make sure you're alright. He will probably go out to a small quiet area with you and just sit in silence and hold hands, maybe say he loves you
Jerry/s; obviously gonna take you to an amusement park, maybe their own amusement park since they miss having visitors đ they're always cheery and happy so they would love to do anything, play in the snow, play games, talk, anything!

GREETINGS
need me some thoughts about Connor.
Deviant Connor who's got a thing for his 20-25 year old neighbor after he moves in with Hank after the war where he ends up going on a date w her and she invites him insidee... oop... smutty thots?
oh jesus my first time writing for connor i'm a bit nervous ngl
part 2
you were hank's neighbor
you were the only person he actually trusted because you helped him a lot with his grief after his son died
you'd come over and cook a decent meal for him once in a while, you'd get him in bed when you found him black out drunk on the floor, you'd feed and walk sumo
you even took the adorable saint bernard into your home when hank got too overwhelmed and couldn't take care of him properly
you sat down at his kitchen table watching him eat the soup you'd made him
he'd told you he'd been assigned a case and his partner was "a damn android"
you laughed a bit at his annoyance
"why don't you give him a chance?"
"yeah sure, maybe we'll even become friends, why not move him here with me? i see you're already sweet on him"
only if he knew that all his jokes would become true..
his sarcasm only made your smile widen
"oh come on hank, maybe you will grow.. fond.. of- what'd you say his name was?"
"why? d'you want to buy one for yourself? i don't think they're for sale for civilians darling"
"oh don't be an asshole hank. if you need anything else you know where to find me"
you said as you got up from the table and went to grab your coat
"connor."
"what?"
"his name's connor"
connor knew about you too. hank drunkenly blabbered about you when he found him laying on the floor
"leave me alone, you fuckin' android! get the fuck outta my house"
"i'm sorry lieutenant, but i need you"
he heard hank calling out your name while he dragged him to the bathroom to try and sober him up
"i don't know who that is lieutenant, but i can assure you, she's not here. it's only me, you and sumo"
"then go and get her"
"is she your wife lieutenant?"
"no you pervert, she's my damn neighbor"
"i'm sorry to inform you but i don't think we have the time for that right now"
"shit.. sumo! attack!"
the only thing he got in return from the dog was a little bark
"good dog.."
after connor managed to sober him up he saw you coming to pick up sumo. he was.. glad that you weren't hank's partner, though he didn't know why he felt that way at the time
your eyes met for the first time. you could see his LED turn yellow. he was analyzing you
and you think he liked what he saw when you noticed a blue tint in his cheeks
that was.. interesting
you didn't see him again after that, not until the war was over. not until he moved in with hank and you learned that he was a deviant
you found yourself intrigued by him. without even realizing you were coming up with different reasons why you should come over at hanks place more often
you wanted to cook him a nice dinner, or to give sumo a bath, or to give him back a book you burrowed
and everytime you ended up staring at connor. he was certainly different than when you first saw him
not so rigid, more.. human
his presence was nice. you felt protected, secure around him, horny flustered even
he was currently watching you scratching sumos belly on the carpet, getting ready to take him out for his evening walk
hanks gruff voice suddenly startles him
"you know it's not polite to stare"
"jesus hank, you scared me"
"why don't you ask her out?"
"like.. on a date?"
"yes like on a date"
"..why?"
"don't play coy connor, you've seen how she looks at you too"
he did notice your heart rate being higher around him, your oxytocin and estrogen levels increasing when you acknowledged his presence
you hear hank shouting out your name while you're putting on sumos leash
"connor said he wants to join ya on your walk"
"really?"
he nudges him in his chest managing to get a strained "yes" from him
the walk was a pleasant one. you talked with him about hank, about sumo, about his life and how everything changed for him after the war
"how did you feel? you know, when you uh- deviated"
"it was scary at first, i felt- human.. it's hard to explain."
"i understand"
you give him a side glance noticing his LED is yellow, he's analyzing something, he's analyzing you
after that evening it kinda became your thing, going out everyday to walk sumo around the neighborhood
hank mentioned to you that connor is learning and exploring different emotions and that he's eager to experience anything that a human would feel and do
"maybe you could help him with that"
help him with that? yeah sure why not? unfortunately you failed to pick up on his suggestive tone
connor was indeed exploring. he felt.. weird around you. what was that feeling? his system was heating up whenever he thought about it, whenever he thought about you
he did some research and he associated his reactions to human arousal. was he..? aroused..?
he knew you certainly were
one evening you invited him at your place after you walked sumo, your explanation being that hank was really tired that day and you didn't want to disturb him any more
he accepted after he made sure he wouldn't bother you, of course he accepted, he couldn't wait for you to do this even though he'd never admit it
he noticed your hormone levels and the way your legs crossed and you squeezed your thighs
he also noticed your body heating up and the pheromones you released
you noticed the slight baby blue tint in his cheeks and the..pinkish hue of his LED? more like a peachy tone, similar to the yellow one but definitely different
that's new
what was also new was the bulge is his jeans. was he hard? could he get hard?
apparently he could, and he just realized he did
"i'm sorry, this has never happened before-"
"d'you need.. any help with it?"
"i guess i do.. could uh- could you help me?"
"i thought you'd never ask"
ajsjnxd cliffhanger i'm sorry i don't think i'm ready to write the whole thing đđ

The First Crush
RK800 Connor X F!Reader
He was an android! He wasnât supposed to be stuttering like some nervous school boy seeing his crush for the first time. And yet, here he was making a fool of himself.
A/N: ahhh! this is my very first DBH fic! feedback is always highly appreciated!
Connor had been infatuated with you from the moment heâd stepped into the precinct that first morning. Sure, he hadnât been a deviant yet at that time but there was something about you that drew him in. Whether it was the little knick knacks that you had sitting around your desk, or the photo of your two cats you proudly displayed. The first time heâd ever talked to you was what anyone would call a disaster. Heâd nearly spilled the coffee heâd gotten for Hank all over your desk, nearly tripping over his feet as he stuttered over his words.
He was an android! He wasnât supposed to be stuttering like some nervous school boy seeing his crush for the first time. And yet, here he was making a fool of himself. Hank had swooped in to save him from further embarrassment, making sure you were distracted while Connor cooled down.
You introduced yourself to him later on that day in the breakroom, ignoring Gavinâs snide remarks as you tried to make conversation with Connor. It was nice to be seen as something other than an android. Amanda had been surprised to learn about you, how Connor had made a friend so soon after arriving. Her tone left no room for argument on how Connor was supposed to approach his friendship with you, and why would he think any differently? Hank was his partner first and foremost, so he had to work on building that relationship.
CyberLife didnât want him becoming distracted from his goals, lest they take him down into the sublevels and decommission him. That would put a real damper in him figuring out the whole deviancy cases that were beginning to line up. After the first case it became harder to figure out why they all seemed to deviate. From androids killing their owners, to androids being in love with one another.
Hank had questioned him as to why he hadnât shot the deviant from the Eden Club, but Connor couldnât give him a proper answer. He wasnât even sure himself as to why he hadnât shot her when he had a perfect shot. Instead he let her partner, lover?, kick the gun out of his hand before running off together. Amanda had been furious when Connor tried to deflect, lying to the older woman as if she couldnât predict his very thoughts.
She did live inside his head after all.
Then there was Markus. Their first meeting hadnât exactly gone the way Connor had hoped it would. Heâd borrowed some clothes from Hank, promising that he wasnât doing anything too dangerous and that he'd be back before the end of the night. (That dear reader had been a complete and total lie the moment the FBI had raided Jericho). Connor had been unable to forgive himself for a while after that, even once the androids were given their rights. Markus had assured him that things between them were fine, Connor had become a deviant and helped them all in the end.
Connor hadnât properly forgiven himself for months after the incident, choosing to throw himself into his work and avoid everything else that surrounded him. Sure, he didnât need sleep or food the way a normal human would so he could spend longer looking over case files, but something irked at him. You always seemed to check up on him, offering to drive him to Hankâs so he could get away from the precinct. It was nice.
Heâd taken up your offer a handful of times, offering money to pay for gas since you lived on the complete opposite side as Hank. You always refused though, promising him that you didnât mind driving Connor home. Hank wasnât too put out by the idea either, glad to know Connor was making other friends besides himself. Heâd always be his partner, but sometimes Hank liked to just sit and be by himself for a few hours at a time.
It took Connor longer than heâd realized to come to the conclusion that he had a crush on you, that his feelings ran deeper than just a simple friendship. It was downright terrifying for the android to try and wrap his head around. You were his friend, and now he was thinking about things like taking you out onto a date!Â
âHank! I need some advice.â Connor stormed into the quaint house, tossing aside his coat as it landed on the kitchen chair.
Hankâs hand hovered mid-air, fork full of rice from his favorite Chinese place downtown steaming as he stared over at Connor. When he didnât make another move to try and start talking again Hank quickly shoved the bite into his mouth, chewing slowly. Once heâd swallowed the rice without any hazards, Hank set down the container and his fork, turning to face Connor.
âAlright, what type of advice do you need?â Hank was doing his best to hide his surprise, the fact that Connor, essentially a walking computer, needed advice? This was something big.
âI want to impress someone, someone that I really like.â Connor reached up to loosen the tie around his neck, fingers hooking in the soft silk material and pulling back and forth as it slowly slid down.
âWell, what do you know about this person?â Hank almost felt like a proud father, watching someone heâd grown close to have their first real crush.
Connorâs eyes lit up as he began to talk about you, leaving out your name more for his own sake rather than yours. He talked about how you loved cats, it didn't matter what they looked like, you just loved cats. Or how your favorite movie was some campy movie based off of a videogame that came out in the 90âs. How no matter what, you always brought in some kind of dessert for someone on their birthday.
âOkay, thatâs some good information to start with.â Hank pondered over the information Connor had given him, thinking back to what he wouldâve done.
Connor laid his tie overtop of his jacket across the chair, unbuttoning the buttons on his sleeves to roll them up onto his arms. The dishes needed to be done, and right now he needed to get some good advice from Hank lest he lose his mind thinking about you.
âYou could always start small, get her some flowers for her home, or something that she might appreciate.â Hank hadnât dated, or been with anyone in quite a long time, so he was a little rusty.
Connor was elbow deep in soapy water, locking away the little information Hank had given him so he could figure out exactly what to do. Surely this would be too hard, right?
â§Ë °. Ęâ âč . ĘË . Ęâ§âË âŸ. Ęâ âč . ĘË . ĘË°â§
Connor couldnât help but feel nervous as he walked inside the precinct, the small bundle of flowers held loosely in his right hand. His eyes scanned over each desk before finally landing on yours as he made his way over.
âY/N?â Connor leaned over to try and get your attention, hoping he didnât startle you as heâd done multiple times before.
âOh! Hi Connor, whoâre those for?â You gestured to the flowers in his hands, taking in the different colored roses.
His brow pinched for a moment before a realization seemed to hit him as his back straightened suddenly.
âTheyâre for you, I wanted to find something that wouldnât be bad for your cats.â He held the flowers out closer to you, a nervous smile on his face.
Your eyes brightened as you smiled widely, carefully taking the flowers from his hands as you brought them up to your nose.
âI hope I made a good decision, the florist said these wouldnât be overpowering, and also safe for your cats.â Connor subtly scolded himself for repeating something heâd already said.
âConnor, these are gorg-ACHOO!â You carefully set down the flowers as you hastily grabbed a tissue to try and plug your nose.
Connor felt himself begin to panic, had he done something wrong? Did he get the wrong type of flowers?
âIâm sore-achoo! I promise the flowers are lovely, I just, achoo! Iâm kind of allergic to pollen.â Your nose began to stuff up from the fragrant roses, your eyes watering slightly as you reached into your drawer for your allergy medicine.
That was the very thing that Connor had forgotten to take into consideration, heâd known all about allergies. Hank had a deadly allergy to bees, meaning he couldnât have anything with honey or beeswax. Heâd nearly made the mistake of gifting him something that had honey in it, but was reminded just before heâd purchased it. Nothing worse than accidentally killing your lieutenant.
Well, maybe making a fool of yourself in front of someone youâd become infatuated with was pretty high up on that list right now.
âIâm so sorry, Y/N, I forget that pollen is one of the most common allergies. Would you like me to take the flowers?â Connor wouldnât be affected by them, at least not in the way you were at the moment.
âNo! Really, Connor, it's fine. I just need to take some medicine and Iâll be right as rain.â You smiled up at him, he could sense the faint swelling of your nose from the pollen.
âIf youâre sure.â He was unsure of what to even say, second guessing himself at that moment.
You reassured him once more, taking two of the tablets with a long sip of the water you always brought in to work.
Heâd just have to do better next time.
â§Ë °. Ęâ âč . ĘË . Ęâ§âË âŸ. Ęâ âč . ĘË . ĘË°â§
Connor had been lying on his back, staring up at the ceiling of Hankâs living room as Sumo laid down on the floor beside him. The couch was newer, more for Hankâs sake rather than his own, Connor didnât need comforts in life the way a human would. Sumo had been ecstatic to see the new couch, claiming the long chaise lounge for himself once it was set down. Hank had fallen asleep on it many times, the television playing quietly in the background before Connor got home. It feltâŠnormal.
âWhatâs got you so pensive?â Hank was making dinner for himself, Sumo having already been fed for the night.
âI screwed up by getting her the flowers, how could I make it up to her so that she doesnât have an allergic reaction?â Connor had done some research to find any other important allergies, the main one was pollen which heâd already known.
âWell, do you know things that she likes? And I mean actually likes, not some wild guess from analyzing her.â Hank plated the steak, turning to face Connor before taking a seat at his kitchen table.
âShe really likes cats, has an infatuation with black cats.â His mind raced with a million and one thoughts as he tried to decipher what exactly he could get you.
Hank hummed lowly, cutting into the meat before popping a piece into his mouth and chewing slowly. His brow pinched as he thought back to what heâd get his ex wife as a way to impress her when they were first dating.
âWhy donât you take her to lunch? Nothing super fancy so she doesnât feel pressured. Donât they have restaurants that androids can eat at now?â Hank knew there were plenty of places both you and Connor could eat at, he just didnât want to seem soft.
Connor thought about it for a moment, cataloging all the restaurants in the area that served food that the both of you could eat. The closest, and most casual one, was just a few miles away from the precinct. Maybe he could take you there on Monday as both an apology for the roses, and a way to get to know you better.
Surely this wouldnât go wrong.
â§Ë °. Ęâ âč . ĘË . Ęâ§âË âŸ. Ęâ âč . ĘË . ĘË°â§
His nerves were shot, there was no other way to possibly even begin to explain why he was freaking out over something so normal.Â
Youâd agreed to go to lunch with him, even offering to cover your meal even though Connor downright refused and told you he would cover it. He didnât need to really eat often, so when he did he liked to enjoy the atmosphere of wherever heâd decided to eat. Of course he would usually sit in one of the corner booths by himself where he could go over casefiles while eating.
Today was a completely different experience entirely. Besides enjoying a delicious meal with you, Connor had also seen you truly open up. You werenât afraid to laugh at his dry humor, something heâd learned from Hank more so than anywhere else. The conversation never seemed too dull, the two of you talking the entire time until you had to get back to work.
The moment you stepped outside, ready to make the short-ish walk back to the precinct, it began to downpour. Connor cursed under his breath, quickly pulling off his coat to try and use it as an umbrella for you. You gripped onto the soft material, holding it tight as you both began to try and sprint to the precinct.
Thunder clapped loudly in the sky, the sound vibrating through both of your chests as you finally made it back. As you handed Connor back his jacket he couldnât help but frown. His jacket hadnât done any good to keep you dry, your clothes were absolutely drenched. Heâd known he wouldnât fare well during the run, but he hoped to at least keep you a little bit dry.
âShit, let me see if theyâve got some dry clothes for you to wear.â Before you could even utter a word Connor had run inside, heading into the back to find the old stock supply of hoodies and sweatpants.
Debating for a moment he grabbed clothes for the both of you, bringing them back out to where youâd been standing at your desk. You mustâve come inside after he left you outside of the precinct. Jeez, he was failing miserably at this whole thing, trying to impress you by doing things that seemed cute together.
âHere, Iâm sure thereâs towels in the shower that we can use to dry off with.â Connor handed over the clothes, a guilty expression pulling at his face.
You smiled softly at him, thanking him for the clothes before making your way down to the locker rooms. Connor did the same with his own clothes, stripping down completely, except his boxers, and drying off as best he could before pulling on the new clothes. They were big enough that no part of his body was hanging out, but they definitely screamed, âI fucked up and have to wear this as punishmentâ. Connor wouldnât blame you if you decided to never speak to him again, he couldnât handle another bad thing happening due to his negligence.
âWell, well, what happened to you two lovebirds?â Gavinâs smirk was anything but friendly, his lip pulled up into a harsh sneer.
âJust ended up getting caught in the rain, didnât want Y/N to get sick so I found some dry clothes for her to change into.â Connor knew better than to engage in any kind of conversation with Gavin.
The man was barely tolerable, he was sure that if he hadnât been an android Gavin wouldâve found an entirely different reason to hate him. Heâd seen the way Gavin had tried, and failed, to convince you to go on a date with him so many times before. Connor had been afraid you wouldnât even accept him since he was an android, but you were the first friend, besides Hank, that he had. You always stood up for him, even if sometimes heâd gotten himself into the mess he was in. Nine times out of ten they were caused by Gavin being an absolute dick, today was going to be no different.
âOh? So youâll go out with this piece of junk, but not a real man? What, youâve got a fetish for that android di-.â Gavin was cut off as Connor turned suddenly, his knuckles colliding with the skin of his jaw.
Gavin hit the ground hard, a loud yelp echoing inside the room as Connorâs hands clenched into tight fists. Chris and one of the other officers ran over to check on Gavin, probably to make sure Connor hadnât broken anything on him. He hadnât, Gavin would just have a nice bruise to set a reminder as to why he should finally leave you and Connor alone.
âConnor!â Hankâs voice boomed louder than the rest of the chatter, his body locking up as he slowly looked over to where Hank was standing.
You were standing behind the lieutenant, eyes wide as you glanced between where Gavin was sitting on the floor over to where Connor stood. A slow smile pulled up your lips, eyes twinkling as you quickly made your way over to your desk.
âSorry, should I fill out a harassment form?â Connor didnât feel the least bit sorry for hitting Gavin, but he also didnât want to lose his job.
âJust, donât do it again, okay?â Hank stared back at him until he nodded, nodding once before sitting down at his own desk.
Connor quickly followed suit, ignoring Gavin who was downright seething at being not only punched by an android, but someone who wouldnât get into any trouble. Anyone with two brain cells could see how annoying Gavin was, so who better to hit him than Connor? It was a win-win situation if he did think so himself.
âThank you, Connor.â Connorâs head snapped over to where you sat, brow furrowed as his lips parted.
You looked as if you hadnât just spoken to him, your hands typing away at your keyboard as your eyes followed each word to make sure you didnât make any mistakes.
âYouâre welcome, Y/N.â Connor kept his voice low, he knew youâd hear him, but he didnât want to make Hank feel uncomfortable.
Even though their afternoon had been ruined from the rain, it helped knowing that Connor could make Hank and Y/N smile at the expense of finally getting to hit Gavin.
â§Ë °. Ęâ âč . ĘË . Ęâ§âË âŸ. Ęâ âč . ĘË . ĘË°â§
Connor had been restoring a classic Harley Davidson for nearly six months, slowly buying parts and working on it whenever he wasnât needed at the precinct. Hank hadnât minded Connor working on it in his garage, almost preferring it being hidden away from other people. Connor had joked that heâd let Hank drive it as long as he got his motorcycle license first. Hank on the other hand said he liked how they looked, but he also liked having all his limbs. It was no shock that most people didnât respect people, or androids in this case, on motorcycles. He had spent weeks learning to drive perfectly, even though he was an android there were always insane drivers.
Heâd bought a jacket and helmet during his last shopping excursion so he could at least be prepared when the bike was finally finished. The weather had finally warmed up, which meant he could drive around without the sun setting at four pm.
Taking a deep breath he grabbed the accelerator, reaching up to see if heâd been successful at reviving the old bike. The engine roared to life as he twisted his wrist forward gently, the sound of the engine revving like an angry lion.
âI did it!â Connor quickly turned the bike off, not wanting to waste what little gas he had in there at the moment. Heâd drive down to the gas station and fill it up so he could drive it to the station and surprise everyone.
Well, he really only wanted to surprise you.
â§Ë °. Ęâ âč . ĘË . Ęâ§âË âŸ. Ęâ âč . ĘË . ĘË°â§
Connor had chosen his clothes carefully, sliding on the boots that were recommended, before grabbing his leather jacket and slipping it on over his shoulders. Hank had mentioned how he could walk a runway with his clothes, almost shocked at how effortless it was for Connor to look handsome. Heâd never really understood the appeal, he wore clothes that he found pleasing, or what would keep him safe from the outside environment.Â
Grabbing the helmet he made his way outside, having already parked the bike in the driveway so that the garage wouldnât be sitting open the entire day. Putting on his helmet he straddled the bike carefully, turning it on as it roared to life once more. The gas tank was full, something heâd insisted on doing the night before. Carefully kicking up the kickstand he walked the bike to the end of the driveway, checking for any pedestrians or other drivers before he began to drive.
The wind felt nice as it whipped by, the rumbling of the bike vibrating from his toes to the tops of his shoulders. Other drivers stared as he drove by, their shock evident at the loud motorcycle as he sat idly waiting for the light to turn green. The drive wasnât one he hated doing, quite the opposite as it gave him time to think about what needed to be done. Unfortunately it seemed he tended to drive much faster while on a motorcycle. He pulled into the parking lot almost fifteen minutes before he was due to arrive, parking between your and Hankâs car.
Once the bike was off, the engine slowly cooling itself down as he pushed down the kickstand to step off the bike, Connor noticed a few people staring. That would always happen no matter where he was, but this felt different. They didnât look jealous, no, they looked almost shocked to see Connor stepping off the bike. Okay, maybe he did have a reputation for being a goodie two shoes but that was before the deviancy.
He grabbed the bottom of his helmet, slipping it off to try and fix his hair if needed. Since he didnât sweat his hair hadnât flattened to his head, running a hand through fixed it right away. The two officers outside kept their eyes on him as he made his way inside.
âConnor! Just the man I was looking fo-.â Your voice cut off as you stared over at him, eyes wide and lips parted.
That was a reaction heâd never gotten from you before, why did you look like someone shell shocked? Was there something wrong?
âY/N? Are you alright?â Connor stepped over, his helmet held loosely in his right hand.
Your eyes trailed over his body slowly, much slower than heâd ever seen you to do anyone else before, even people you found attractive. Your body temperature rose by a degree, skin flushed with goosebumps.
Oh.
Oh.
âI-Iâm sorry, yes Connor, Iâm just fine.â You smiled up at him, hands shakily clutching the tablet in your hands.
âAre you sure? We can go sit down at my desk if you need to.â Connor gently took your elbow, leading you down towards the desks and ushering you into his usual seat.
âConnor, I promise that Iâm fine. Iâve been going over the paperwork from this most recent case if youâd like to look at the information.â You held the tablet out to him, your voice breathy as your eyes trailed down his throat and chest.
He opened his mouth to respond, to tell you that the case could wait a few more minutes before he noticed the uptick in your heart rate. Heâd never had this kind of effect on someone before, it felt invigorating.Â
âAlright, I believe you.â He smirked down at you, plopping down into your chair before scooting closer.
You jumped right into the case, avoiding looking at him for any period of time to try and get your thoughts under control. Jeez, it was like you were a schoolgirl with a crush on the hotter older kid. Except you worked together, and Connor was clearly trying to impress you with the flowers, and then lunch, and then⊠Oh!
âIs something bothering you, Y/N?â Connorâs voice was low, the softness of his eyes keeping you from being able to speak properly.
âActually, there is.â Your tone was clear, a complete 180 to how youâd just been so flustered.
Connor was clearly taken aback, unsure of how to even approach the new situation heâd just landed himself in.
âYou come in here being all sweet, buying me roses, taking me to lunch, and now? Now youâre walking in looking like a walking, talking wet dream and Iâm simply supposed to keep my cool while you sit right next to me for the next ten hours?â You held a hand up as Connor opened his mouth to respond.
âYou are the embodiment of everything I want, Connor. So excuse me for being quite distracted at how gorgeous you look today.â You huffed, arms crossing over your chest as your little moment began to sink in.
Connor was shocked that youâd like him, he knew he liked you, anyone with eyes could see it, but knowing you liked him as more than a friend? Well, it was a little surprising for him. Maybe driving the Harley in was the best idea heâd had in years.
âWell, if thatâs the case. Can I take you on a date? A proper one that doesnât involve us getting soaked with rain?â Connor felt hopeful, whatâs the worst that could happen? You both already liked one another.
âFind a place where we can both have dinner, and itâs a date.â You smiled at him, standing up from his desk and leaving the tablet on the smooth surface.
Connor knew heâd need to spend a few minutes of his lunch finding a nicer restaurant, and couldn't have a repeat of the last time you two had gone out together. Even if it was a nice time, getting drenched from the rain was never fun.
As everyone worked it was almost as if a lightbulb popped up above his head.
Heâd taken Hank's advice twice and had it almost end in full disaster both times, and the one time he just did things naturally it all worked out. Maybe he should just listen to his own mind every now and then.
Yeah, that sounded like a much better plan.

Getting Hurt While Protecting Them (Deviant Edition)
Request:No
Warning:Burns, Zlatkoâs Death, injuries, blood,cursing
Characters:Kara,Alice,Marcus, Connor
A/N:This is the deviant version of a post I did a while ago which is linked here
Deviant Kara + Alice
You came with Kara and Alice to Zlatkoâs house where you met Luther and Zlatko, after the mans true intentions were revealed and you tried to keep Kara from losing her memories, but Luther was instructed to take you away and he did so. After freeing yourself with the help of other androids in the basement you made your way to where Kara was having her memories erased. As you were trying to figure out what to do, Zlatko found you and the two of you bagn to fight. You had thrown a water body between the two of you to distract him and gotten wet in the process, when he grabbed on of the snapped wires, which allowed Kara to fall to the ground and retain her memories, you sustained a nasty burn. You powered through it despite the shock in your body and knocked him out with a near by pipe before grabbing Kara.
âAre you okay?â She asked as you pulled her up.
âWe can check later, we need to find Alice.â
After doging both Zlatko and Luther you both managed to find Alice and in a remarkable turn of events Luther swapped sides and rose up with the experiments in the basement to kill Zlatko. When the four of you finally got a chance to settle down in an abandoned amusement park, Kara checks Alice and then goes straight to you.
âYou are hurt, did Zlatko do this?â She questions, the caoncern is evident in her face.
âYes and no, I was dumb and threw a bottle of water in a room full of electrical appliances,so he took his shot,âÂ
She pauses searching for the right words to say before running water over it it and wrapping it up to the best of her abilities.
âThank youâŠyou saved Alice.â
âNo, I saved my family.â
Deviant Marcus
Marcus didnât make a habit out of trusting humans, but you had helped pull him from the android graveyard and help piece hisself back together again with your own two hands and he knew he could trust you.He knew that at anyone you would put your life on the line for the safety of another androids whether they had deviated or not, and you had in the past, not to mention you treated his goal almost as seriously as he did.
The incident happened when you joined him for a hesit of thirium and biocompenents, he had been shot in a vital component during a chase. You took his arm over your shoulder and helped him escape, but in the process of fleeing over a gate you were bit in the thigh, your jean shorts soaked in your own blood the wound seeping blood the entire journey back to Jericho. It was here, after he assessed the other adriods and you finished helping others replace their components, that he noticed you were wounded. He places a hand on the wound, his eye scanning it with a look of concern.
âWhy didnât you get that taken care of?â
âOthers needed their components replaced,â You respond shrugging as he removes his hand, the artificial skin covered in an alarming amount of your blood, âI didnât sit down until just now, so I never got to it.â
The moment you finish speaking, he hoists you up on a broken interface and takes a closer look. After inspecting it, he cleans the wound and bandages it up, all the while he is telling you how human and stupid it was.
âYouâre not even listening are you?â
âHalf-way, thatâs gotta count for something,â You smirk as he looks up at you.
âWhy didnât you just leave me there?â His eyes narrow as he asks you the question, as if expecting something different than what you say.
âWell,â You sigh dramatically, âJericho just wouldnât be the same without Markus, the big, bed, fearless android leader, now would it?â You tease, nudging his shoulders as you slide down and off the interface.
You only chuckles a little and shakes his head.
Deviant Connor
Hank wasnât answering his phone and everywhere you and Connor turned androids, devaint or not, were being executed in droves. No where was safe until you and Connor stumbled across an android named Markus who gave Connor a single mission: to collect soldiers for the andriod army. You refused to leave Connors side as he carried out said mission and he had no choice but to let you. An android entering a human made it much less suspicious anyways, and it worked up until the second model of Connor approached. You could always tell the real Connor, for the longest time he didnât believe he had a lick of human emotion or deviancy in him until it was nearly forced out of him.
You watched in anticipation and fear as Hank had the gun trained on you, then Connor, then Fake Connor. He wouldnât let you move an inch, assuming you were a replica to,as he questioned the two androids. You didnât think twice when you stopped infront of your Connor when you heard the gunshot. You didnât even stop to look where the bullet when when Hank shot the right Connor as you turned around and gave Connor a once over, looking for any kind of injury that would indicate he was damaged.Â
It wasnât over yet, with all the commotion and the trouble in the elevator before hand the three of you had to move fast. And move you did, you made it to the frontlines with Markus and had the honour of standing beside him as you watched history unfold infront of your eyes. Overtime, Connor had developed a habit of observing his surroundings visibly but now he is dead still and his hand gun equiped is steadily rising. You gently hold the gun in your hands and call his name, your voice prying him from Amamndaâs grip. The alarm of nearly killing you sets in, and as he looks to where you have the fun pointed his LED flashes red. Your shirt is covered in blood, with the adreanline of a possible Civil War on your hands you hadnât noticed that you had been running around with a bullet embedded in your side.
The moment the standoff had ended, Connor rushed you to the hospital where you were taken care of. He sat on the bed next to you, his LED pensively blinking as he stared at the ground, before he finally spoke, clearly still trying to wrap his processors around what had happened in the past 48 hours.
âYou let him shoot youâŠâ
âYes, that is correct.â
âWhy?â When he asks this, he turns to face you his eyes scanning your face for any signs of unwell mental stability but he finds none. Youâre heart rate is normal, your respiratory rate is pristine, no signs of PTSD or early truama, yet youâre lying in a hospital bed with a hole in your side.
âBecause I didnât want you to die, Connor.â
âHe was aiming for a non-vital component in my body, I had a 96% survival rate even if he shot me.â
âI didnât like that 4%.â
âOhâŠthank you.â
âYou can thank me with a kiss,â
Hank walks in the room hears this and laughs talking about how someone owed him 50 bucks and a bottle of booze. As the two of you share a gentle kiss.

âdo you now, connor?â
deviant, good ending connor.
the precinct was a symphony of chaos as alwaysâphones ringing, officers shouting, papers being shuffled. you were perched on the edge of hankâs desk, flipping through some files, while connor stood nearby, his posture as straight and composed as ever. despite the noise, your conversations with connor had a way of existing in their own bubble, his focused attention making you feel like nothing else in the room mattered.
you and connor got along unusually well, given his stoic demeanor. where others found him unnerving or overly literal, you found his honesty refreshing. he seemed⊠curious about you in a way that went beyond his programming. though lately, his curiosity had taken on a strange undertone, like he didnât quite know what to do with himself around you.
today was no different. youâd just returned from grabbing coffee with hank, who was now buried in paperwork, leaving you and connor to your own devices. the conversation drifted naturally, as it often did, and you found yourself bringing up a recent headline about androids designed for companionshipâa topic that had sparked plenty of debate in public forums.
âi mean, the idea itself is fascinating,â you said, gesturing with your coffee cup. âandroids programmed for⊠intimacy. it really raises questions about human connection and technology, doesnât it?â
connorâs LED flickered yellow briefly, his gaze steady on you. âit does,â he agreed. his voice was calm, but there was an almost imperceptible pause before he added, âi have the same functions, you know.â
you blinked, the words sinking in. it wasnât that you were surprisedâconnor was a prototype designed to be adaptable, capable of nearly anything. but the casual way he said it, like it was just another fact about the weather or a new case, caught you off guard.
still, you didnât flinch or stammer. instead, you tilted your head, studying him with a mix of amusement and curiosity. âdo you now?â you asked, your tone light, but there was a glimmer of challenge in your eyes.
his LED flickered again, but his expression remained neutral. âyes,â he said, matter-of-factly. âitâs standard for many androids designed to interact with humans. itâs meant to enhance adaptability and understanding.â
âfascinating,â you murmured, taking a sip of your coffee, your gaze lingering on him a moment too long. âso, how does that work exactly? do you have protocols for that sort of thing, or is it more⊠intuitive?â
hank snorted from behind his paperwork. âoh, for christâs sake,â he muttered, though there was no real bite in his tone. âcan we not have this conversation here?â
you grinned but didnât look away from connor, who, to his credit, remained composed despite the faint yellow flicker of his LED. âcuriosity is healthy, hank,â you said, your voice teasing. âbesides, connor brought it up.â
âhmm,â connor hummed, almost thoughtfully. âthe implementation would depend on the scenario and the individualâs preferences.â his tone was clinical, but his gaze had softened, something almost imperceptible shifting in the way he looked at you.
you smiled, tilting your head slightly. âgood to know.â
his LED blinked red for a fraction of a second before returning to blue, but he said nothing more, leaving the air between you charged with an unspoken tension. even hank noticed, grumbling something under his breath about âkids these daysâ and returning to his work.
you didnât push furtherânot here, not nowâbut as you turned back to your files, you could feel connorâs gaze linger on you just a little longer than usual.

the joy of ignorance
part 1 | the joy of ignorance
pairing: Connor x f!Reader
summary: âSolitude matters, and for some people, itâs the air they breathe.â
warnings: none
notes: itâs my first fanfic so please, be patient with me. also, after this one, the chapters are going to become excruciatingly long, so buckle up!
The first reports were not alarming. They were accounted for as simple mechanical disturbances, which, in all cases, proved to be unavoidable. Although seemingly impossible expectations were set for all employees, even that was no guarantee that an android wouldnât make irrational decisions as a result of a possible faulty code. The rudimentary cases, which could hardly be called violent, seemed to be random, and the company made sure to provide adequate compensation to the victims. The deviant androids were recalled â citing maintenance procedures â and owners were sent a new, flawless model, assuring them that no inconvenience would occur again.
It was easy to sweep the problems caused by incompetent robots under the rug: they were deactivated, then sent to a landfill and people forgot that they ever existed. There were no reports of unfortunate malfunctions, and owners didn't ask questions after the replacement of their previous Androids.
You spent years perfecting your designs. In the beginning, you only dared to entertain the idea that robots would be an integral part of your lives, but lately, your dreams became reality, and you watched - almost mesmerized - as your world radically changed. Androids were designed to obey and assist humans. Elijah Kamski's masterpieces fulfilled the role they were assigned. Within a strict framework, they behaved mechanically and, unlike humans, they did not need food or sleep, so they were available every minute of the day. You had a key role in the creation of many types, and after the head of the company - Elijah - resigned from his position, in exchange for a quieter life, in his words, you took over the control over the production of Cyber ââLife models.
The threat of the androids' ever-increasing deviance loomed over you like a shadow, threatening that at any moment, one wrong decision on your part would unleash a wildfire beyond your control.
The Cyber ââLife Tower was located in an area outside the city, hiding it from the prying eyes of Detroit. The monumental building with its forty-nine floors was tasked with completing several procedures, including the production of the machines and the implementation of rudimentary experimental processes. You often didn't even go home, your rural, two-story house was a seemingly endless distance away, and you, yourself, found it difficult to leave the protective walls of your office. The tower was guarded by hundreds of soldiers, ensuring that no one could get in or out without monitoring. You were initially uncomfortable by the over-the-top security measures, but after the recent events, you felt relieved. They made sure that no one would think of attacking the tower: it would have been a suicide. The androids had a great risk assessment ability, they were able to determine with percent accuracy how much danger each scenario entailed, and in the case of the Cyber ââTower, it was high. Not only the guards were a threat, the premises were protected by numerous hindrances: the workers were identified based on their voice and DNA, and they could only pass through the gates at the entrance with a hologram card.
You felt lost. With glassy eyes, you scanned the endless skyscrapers of Detroit while twirling the pen in your shaking hand. You could have left the building at the end of your working hours, but you decided to stay. Starring the papers scattered on your table, you were sure that you wouldnât be able to get through them before morning. Passing by your office, many cast questioning glances at the pile of paper, mainly because by then, digital notebooks had become widespread, and they would have made your work significantly easier, but you were unable to bring yourself to break free from your habits. You didn't want to give up the feeling as you ran your ballpoint pen over them, and you liked to believe that you were doing a more efficient job this way. Getting your thoughts down required more attention than a simple touch transfer to a tablet.
You looked up at the sound of the TV mounted on the wall. The news channel served as background noise, but the announcer's words rang bittersweetly in your ears.
âMore complaints about deviant androids have been received by the Detroit Police Department. An AX400 shot its owner with a loaded gun, and a RK200 attacked a young woman with her bare hands. We all ask the question: can we feel safe in our own home? Let's switch to reporter Joss Douglas from Detroit, who will cover the details of the chilling events.â The reporter's voice blurred into the soft, constant humming noise of the ventilation system.
You shook your head in resignation and turned off the device with a firm motion.
â
The hours stretched into each other, and you didn't even realize when the first rays of the sun forced their way through the gaps of the curtains, lighting up the office. Your eyes felt heavy, your arms laid numb on the table, and you sometimes had to shake your head to keep yourself awake. It was these moments that made you truly understand that this wasnât just a job for you. You considered it your mission to create androids that would not only make living easier, but also shape the future.
The ringing of your phone pulled you out of your thoughts. Glancing down at your wrist, you noted that, given the early hours, it seemed unreasonable for a Cyber ââLife employee to be looking for you.
You pressed the accept button with a small sigh.
â[Name], how can I help you?â
"Good morning, maâam! I apologize for bothering you so early, but itâs an urgent issue. I'm Jeffrey Flower, Chief of the Detroit Police Department.â
You winced involuntarily.
"Please, continue.â your voice seemed unnaturally high, despite the fact that you tried to sound determined.
âItâs about the deviant androids, but I can't say more than that. I would like to discuss the details in person, maâamâ
Fowler's succinct wording only raised more questions and alarm bells went off in your mind.
"Excuse me, sir, but I believe you're talking to the wrong person. I'm not in charge of the press department. I can transfer your call if you want me to.â
After a few seconds, Fowler spoke again.
"I know who you are. And Iâm also sure that you are the one who can help us. Please just listen to what I have to say. You can still refuse my offer after thatâ
It crossed your mind to just hang up the call without an answer, but your ever-increasing curiosity proved to be stronger.
"This morning?" you asked.
"I can see you in my office at half past eleven.â
You nodded cautiously, even though Fowler couldn't see it.
âI'll be there.â you swallowed your uneasy questions. âGoodbye Mr. Fowler.â
Ending the call, you couldn't help but wonder how significant it was that the police specifically wanted to talk to you out of all people.
The cause of your worry was far from something preventing you from talking openly about the company and the machines they designed. Unlike most, you weren't held back by a strict NDA, but you still had a strange sense of loyalty tied to Cyber ââLife, the company which gave you a life, gave you a chance to start over and prove you were more than a programmer. Through the company, you were able to make your dreams come true, and for that, you owed them endless gratitude.
You couldn't explain why, but you were deeply dreading the meeting with Fowler.

Hi, lovely! I've got a request for Hank Anderson from DBH! Would you write about a female reader who helps him get his life back together? As in, cleaning around the house and shopping for new clothes with him and convincing him to get a haircut. You know, to help him get out of that depression spiral the poor man has been living in for years. I'd appreciate some romantic/fluffy interactions between the two, if that's okay!
Oh, also, I think it'd be funny if reader teamed up with Connor to convince Hank to be more active
Thank you! <3
âHank Anderson x fem!reader
âSummary: Your walk ends up being a reminder that there is still a lot to overcome, but that Hank will always have you by his side.
âWarnings: mention of suicide
"Connor?" you took your hands out of your pockets to greet him, letting the cold winter wind hit your warm skin, you watched as the cyborg stood in front of the door without moving "Isn't Hank home?"
"Ah, I'm glad to see you, I don't know, I've been calling for a while, Lieutenant Hank hasn't shown up at his scheduled time at his office."
"I seeâŠ"
You frowned at the information, you were very worried about Hank, now you were really just taking a walk around the neighborhood, it was your day off, but you couldn't help but approach Hank's house, knowing that these last few months he had been more down, even after all this time and with the arrival of Connor into his life âalthough accepted a little reluctantlyâ you thought that everything was going to go much better than before, in fact, he made progress, but perhaps, the current date made him overthink too much about situations from the past, about the immovable destiny.
You took out a spare key that he had left you, you had to use it many times, countless days in which a bad feeling closed the mouth of your stomach and infected your mind like a plague, you are never prepared enough to see a person you love pointing a gun at their temple, and as much as you try to erase that disgusting image, it is not easy to forget. You open the door with a soft click, letting Connor in who already seems to be taking in the state of the house, he immediately informs you that Hank seems to be in the bathroom, the dining room and kitchen are a mess, there are bottles thrown around and chinese food lying around.
"I can pick all this up, could you check on the lieutenant?"
"You don't have to tell me twice, I'll let you know if I need help upstairs."
You heard murmurs in the bathroom, moving quickly, you opened the door, hoping not to see something grotesque, luckily, you only found a dejected Hank, with traces of vomit on his clothes and beard, his eyes met yours, they were tired, darkened, without shine or life, your heart crumpled, immediately you slid to his side, patting his shoulder.
"I'm disgusting⊠I don't even have enough courage to-"
"Don't go on" you cut him off angrily, not directed at him, but at the vulnerable situation he was in, he was still somewhat drunk "come on, let's clean you up a little, okay?"
You softened your tone, helping him stand up, he grabbed your shoulder and waist, a persistent dizziness made him stagger a little, you fought against the weight of his own body against yours, turning on the faucet, you were there for at least half an hour to make him look like a totally normal and functional person. You forced him to change his clothes, brush his teeth, among other basic things to keep up, you waited patiently in his room until he finished being a walking disaster, when the drunkenness began to subside the guilt began to take over him, he had lost count of how many times you had had to come to help him even when he didn't tell you that he was feeling bad.
He came in like a scolded dog, like a child who knew he had done something wrong and was going to be scolded, like a guilty person entering the police station, his head down, his shoulders hunched, his body betraying his thoughts, his weight making the mattress sink beside you, unable to look at you, he decided he needed to sort out his mind a bit before saying anything and you were patient.
"I'm sorry⊠I- the truth is I don't know how to thank you for all this, it's just that lately the sessions haven't progressed and it's like I'm still stuck at the same point, repeating the story over and over again, I feel frustrated, I really didn't plan to doâŠ" he left the sentence hanging for a moment, looking at you quickly to see your expression, your lips pursed in a grimace of concern, but you didn't seem upset "none of that, it's embarrassing because I thought I was over it, but I just- uh- I drank too much last night."
You sighed nasally, you weren't the one to lecture him about this, he already had a nice psychologist he went to for when this kind of thing happened, so you stuck to your role, comforting him and supporting him unconditionally.
"It's okay Hank, calm down, the truth is that it relieves me a lot and at the same time worries me, I'm going to cut your damn drinking habit."
He rolled his eyes, recovering his spirits minimally, he pushed you aside, getting up from the bed, you copied his actions, both of you going downstairs where Connor waited patiently, he had finished cleaning a while ago, but he thought it was better not to interrupt your talk, feeling like you were having an intimate moment.
"I'm glad to know that you're feeling better Lieutenant, but there's work to do."
"I know, I know⊠god, why did you let him in?"
He murmured the last part to you, you hit his arm moderately, looking at him as a warning sign, he just ignored you, grabbing his jacket along with a lighter and tobacco, he still had unfortunate comments with poor Connor, but it doesn't matter, you will jump to defend your android son tooth and nail.
The cold hit your face again when the door opened, indicating that the unexpected and short visit had come to an end, Hank signaled Connor to wait for him in the car, while you stayed a moment longer enjoying the company, he took your hands in his, wrapping them, his gaze shone slightly again when he looked at you, you didn't know if he was blushing because of what he was doing or because the cold began to penetrate our bones, but his cheeks âjust like yoursâ began to warm up.
"I am very grateful to have you by my side, thank you for everything."
"HankâŠ" you looked away, feeling shy all of a sudden, your eyes wandering from your joined hands to his lips "that sounds stupidly cheesy."
You let out a small giggle, making his cheeks turn a deeper red, making him sputter out some denials about your statement, deciding that you were holding him back too long, seeing as he was in for a good scolding for being late to work, you cut the whole scene short with a quick kiss on the lips, leaving the man speechless, you left as quickly as you came, solving problems, but creating others, at least he would know how to deal with the kind of problems you caused him, one day you would make his poor heart burst.
"Do people feel better if you kiss them? I've been noticing that lately, I can give you a kiss too if you tell me you're not feeling well, Lieutenant."
"Shut up Connor, it doesn't work like that."
"Could you explain it to me, then?"
"Can't you look it up on the internet or something?" his cheeks returned to a more natural color, remembering the sensation you left on his lips "God, you better not look anything up, you might get more confused."

18+ -I don't usually write these-
(I may or may not have added like 80% of the characters i like... This was also lazily done so excuse any errors)

This may sound weird but, for a female reader (or other), I just need him to play with my boobs. Not in like a sexual way, but more like I sit between his legs on the bed as we watch the sunset outside the window, and he wants something to have in his hands to play with, kinda way.

Lipgloss
Connor (dbh) x gn!reader
Fluff
Hank comes into work and notices Connor has lipgloss on, Connors left blushing
It's been a while, too long but here's a lil something for you guys. Thanks for all the support <333
Word count - 409
You smiled at Connor as you entered the bullpen. No kne had known the two of you were dating and you were hoping to keep it that way for a short while longer.
Thoughts of this morning filled your mind. He had 'left early' for work and come to see you. The two of you had spent the morning on your couch making out and cuddling until he had to leave.
You put your bag down on your desk and retrieved your lipgloss from your bag, quickly reapplying it before setting your bag down on the floor and starting your work.
A faint smile graced your lips as you worked, Connor at his desk in the corner of your eye. He was so beautiful and you didn't mind that his desk was close by.
Eventually, Hank entered. He threw his jacket over the back of his chair and stared at Connor for a moment.
"Connor, why do you have lipstick on?"
Hanks question drew your attention to the two and you turned to face them better.
Connor touched two fingers to his lips and looked at them for a moment before licking them. God, it always got you when he licked his fingers, and he knew that.
"Actually, lieutenent, it's lipgloss. Lipsticks tend to have bolder pigmentation, resulting in more striking hues. Lip gloss is less pigmented, prioritizing shine and sparkle over vibrant shades." Connor responded without missing a beat. "It's from [name],"
"[Name] why is Connor putting your lipgloss on?"
"He hasn't? We havent even spoken yet."
"Then how is it on his lips?" Hank grumbled.
Your eyes darted to Connor, to his lips, and a smirk spread across your face. You knew how exactly. Normally, the two of you were more careful, how had both of you missed it?
"I sure do wonder how it's on his lips, Connor do you have any idea?" You said, sarcasm hanging off your words.
He looked taken aback for a moment, as both you and Hank turned to face him. You watched as he tried to figure out why there was lipgloss on him. Eventually, he realised and touched his lips, looking at you with his eyes wide.
"Kisses," he muttered, tripping over the word as a blue blush crossed his face.
Hank raised his eyebrows as he looked between the two of you. "Kisses?" He swore. "Couldn't you guys have told us all earlier? Now I owe Wilson $20,"
