Some women retailers were so well established that they issued their own coins – trade tokens to use as small change during the constant shortage of official coinage. Six trade tokens struck by women dating from 1660-70 have survived.

Which decimal coin was introduced in Britain in 1971 and taken out of circulation in 1984?
On Monday 15th February 1971, Britain officially decimalised their currency. Instead of £1 equalling 20 shillings or 240 pence, the new £1 equated to 100 pence. New coins were introduced to Britain, such as the penny, two pence, five pence, ten pence and the half penny. Until all the old coins were taken out of circulation, an old sixpence had the value of 2.5 new pence, hence the need for a half penny coin.
Many shopkeepers got fed up with tiny half penny coins and refused to accept any as payment unless the customer was paying for something less than 20 pence. Due to inflation, the half penny gradually fell out of use and the coin was demonetised and withdrawn from circulation in December 1984.
The half penny was minted in bronze and was the smallest decimal coin in size as well as value. The obverse of the coin featured a profile of Queen Elizabeth II, as all coins did, and the reverse contained an illustration of St Edward's Crown.

Another quote from "Story of a Soul"!
St. Thérèse of Lisieux cartoons all October!
JOKE-OGRAPHY: This cartoon is based directly on a passage from "Story of a Soul", St. Thérèse's autobiography. In this part, she recalls her earliest memories of her family and her own childish flaws. The text of the cartoon is almost word-for-word from the book (translated, of course). Turns out Thérèse has a whole host of adorable anecdotes to pick from.

I saw a post on my dash recently saying “Why don’t we draw characters in the Vocaloid Magnet pose anymore, we should bring that back”, when I’d already gotten the idea to do that like a week ago. The universe telling me it was time
I absolutely might do this with NakaMouri too, these two just work better because they’ve already got the height difference
