The instruction panels for the Famicom Disk Writer, a kiosk that offered various games to be written onto rewritable Famicom Disk System disks in Japan, features original artwork of Mario in a traditional Japanese outfit, bowing. The "M" monograms were later referenced in the Hakama outfit in Super Mario Odyssey.

First drawing of 2025. To celebrate the new year and the year of snake, here's Mario wearing a hakama and Peach wearing a kimono. Happy New Year, everyone.

I want for all my Mario stuff to have an unique look, my own take on them. So I've been slowly redesigning the cast to fit that! I still have plenty of characters to go but for now, I wanna post the ones I have done. Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Junior, Peach, Daisy, Wario and Waluigi! Design tibdits below:

For the Bros. I wanted for them to still have the same base but play around with it a bit more - Luigi patches up his overalls, Mario just lets them rip, different tops to better showcase personality with Mario using button-ups and Luigi sweaters, different boots for the same reason, and also adding a bit more scruff on them both to age them up a bit since for my take they're in their early 30's, taking place after what one would consider "game canon". They also both wear a pin/badge that shows who they're romantically involved with! (Mario with a Bowser badge, Luigi with one of Daisy's brooches)

Bowser's just wearing what I always draw him in lol - combat pants and boots with a light tanktop alongside his usual cuffs. Junior's outfit is inspired by his Wonder transformation because it's cool as hell and it fits my Junior who's a teenager (around 14). Royal Bowser and Junior are his "diplomatic meeting" outfits, a kamishimo for Bowser and a regular hakama and haori for Junior, based off Bowser's Kingdom in Odyssey being so Japanese-inspired (though the headdress and horn decor is original, and has a gem cut to look like fire.

Peach and Daisy don't change all that much, with Peach I mainly took a bit from her movie design, made the crown bigger and more ornate and changed her brooch for a heart shape that mimics a peach for themeing. she's also fuller-figured because the idea of Peach being peach-shaped is cute and also both Bowser and Mario have a Type™ so it would be neat for her to fit it too lol. Daisy I just made her wear a pantsuit because a) I like pantsuits b) it creates a greater contrast between her and Peach. I also made it more flowery to fit her decór more. Like with the Koopa royals they also get a more casual/adventure-ready set, based on different outfits from Odyssey (Peach) and Mario Kart Tour (Daisy).

Finally for this batch, the wahs! Who won't take much long to elaborate on - I fused Wario's normal outfit with his WarioWare look and Waluigi got something that would match it, though I was inspired by this pic by Fumihide Aoki, Waluigi's creator, that is insanely good.

Cappy gave Mario a Hakama, with the trousers and top being in his usual red and blue colors while a black 'over coat' showed his M emblem.

Everyone then looked over at Brandon after seeing his outfit change and looked shocked!

"Oh my! Brandon...You...You look...." Peach began

"Fantastic! Amazing! Ten out of-a Ten!" Finished Mario as Cappy cheered

"YEAH! You did it, Fezlix!!!" He exclaimed

A Wedding Crashing Odyssey

Today's story starts off like a lot of others in the Mushroom Kingdom. It was a peaceful day and the citizens were enjoying the weather and even chatting amongst each other. Though for the Mario Bros., they were just hanging out with their good friend from the Cosmos Kingdom, Brandon Astral. As Brandon was telling the bros about his latest adventure with his friends from Mobius, where they had to basically put together a planet sized puzzle to defeat an ancient dark deity

"Mamma Mia, that sounds absolutely crazy" Luigi said

"No kidding. I mean I heard of shaking the planet to its core, but not busting it open into seven pieces... But despite the whole incident and even having to get used to being a girl for most of that adventure, it was really fun to explore the planet in its entirety! It makes me want to do the same in our world someday" Brandon said

Redesigning the Goodbye Despair Girls

Chiaki Nanami

First of all, who is playing video games in a skirt? Please let me know who is playing video games in a skirt. Exactly no one. I made Chiaki chubby and gave them acne and glasses. They wear a cute Princess Peach tank top, pastel rainbow undershirt, Pacman hoodie, Minecraft pajama shorts, kitty thigh highs, and Mario slippers. They also wear a pansexual, trans, and NB pins on their hoodie as well as numerous pins of other video games. Their backpack is a holographic ones with Care Bears on it.

Sonia Nevermind

I tied Sonia’s hair in a bun bc it’s way too long. She also wears a Star of David necklace and Hamsa earrings. She wears white gloves, a yellow shoulder dress with long sleeves and a flower on the chest but she can still walk around in it, the red tie with the blue gem in between as a hair tie, and black Mary Jane shoes. She also wears a pearl necklace that is apart of the family jewels and some flowers in her hair. I was going for a cottagecore look.

Mahiru Koizumi

I don’t know either to give Mahiru a longer dress or put her in pants so for now I’ll make the pants option an alternative outfit. I gave her more freckles because she deserves more freckles. She wears a white long sleeve blouse underneath a yellow shirt with puffy sleeves, brown vest with lesbian and trans pins on it, and a long orange pleated skirt with floral patterns on it. She also wears a Star of David necklace and carried around a Polaroid. I also gave her a little flower in her hair bc I was also going for a cottagecore look with her.

Hiyoko Saionji

I made Hiyoko taller bc I hate the whole loli thing. I took some inspiration from her despair design since I like that a lot. Hiyoko wears her hair in an updo since that is how hair is styled whilst doing traditional dress in Japan. She wears a headpiece with floral accents, pink kimono with flower designs, and socks with sandals. She also carries a fan because those are also used in Japanese traditional dance.

Peko Pekoyama

I gave her shorter hair bc her braids will get in the way of her fighting. She wears a dark grey keikogi with the symbol of the Kuzuryu Clan, black hakama pants, black hakama jacket with dragon patterns on it, and black socks with sandals. She also wears a black mask with a panda face on it and carries two swords.

Ibuki Mioda

I wanted to go for several looks with Ibuki: scene, cyber goth, punk, and rave. This came with taking some inspirations from her beta design. I gave nya the big, multicolored hair from that one beta design and I gave nya a Hello Kitty gas mask with studs and goggles. Nya wears a black leather jacket with different pins including a bi and trans pride pin, a BLM pin, and an anarchy symbol, a holographic crop top, rainbow lace up corest, multicolored puffy skirt, fishnet tights, rainbow leg warmers, and holographic demonias. Nya also wears kandi and has lots of piercings. I also made nya a bit chubby.

Akane Owari

For the love of GAWD pls Akane some good clothes. I made her hair shorter because it’s gonna get in her way. This redesign is inspired by a cosplayer named @/nyla_majette on Tiktok who was inspired by @/arashichans-moved-deactivated here on Tumblr.

I kept the blouse bc that’s the connection to her part time job as a waitress but added a red sports hoodie, sparkly black sports bra, red boy shorts, red grappling gloves, bandages wrapped around her wrist, black socks, and white sneakers.

I also added the medal for brownie points. 

Mikan Tsumiki

Please stop sexualizing Mikan and let her look like an actual nurse. I gave her a ponytail because long hair will get in the way of her work. I decided to dress her in a pink shirt with teddy bear and star designs on it, baggy light blue pants, and the white shoes from her canon design. She also wears a medical mask, a nurse hat, and carries around a bag with medical supplies. She also has bandages wrapped around her due to her past.

The low-polygon versions of driver models in Mario Kart Tour, which replace the regular models when the drivers are far away from the camera, are made with a very low degree of optimization, leading to the models becoming deformed.

For example, the low-polygon version of Mario in his Hakama outfit has part of his nose cut off, as well as giving him asymmetrical ears.

Playing 3-D World

(Goemon omo. Probably even more ooc than my usual)

Lupin was going through a bit of a gaming phase. On a whim, he had bought a WiiU and a few games. He, Jigen, and Goemon were playing Super Mario 3-D World. Lupin was Mario, Jigen was Luigi, and Goemon was Toad. It was a little hard, but they were having fun, and laughing a lot.

It felt like Goemon had just used the restroom less than ten minutes ago, but his bladder was already getting full again. He had tried something new: a soda called Dr. Pepper. It tasted really good, and the food he had eaten with it was spicey, so he'd had two cans of it. Now, it seemed, he was paying the price. Apparently, the soda was a really strong diuretic, and it was wreaking havoc on his already small bladder.

They had just started the first boss level and they were already laughing a lot. They kept accidentally throwing each other, and Lupin had just thrown Jigen over the edge, killing him and causing another round of laughter from the three men. That's when Goemon felt it. His bladder contracted slightly from the laughter and a leak escaped him. Apparently, it was a big leak, because it already managed to dampen his hakama.

Goemon gasped softly and pressed his legs together. He had planned to try to wait a few more levels. He had just gone, and he didn't like interrupting the game and making Jigen and Lupin wait on him. They were patient and understanding, as they always are with things like this, but he still didn't like it. He would go after this level. It wouldn't take too long, right? The time limit was... shit, 300 seconds? That's 5 minutes! His bladder spasmed at the thought of having to wait that much longer, but he continued to play. They had been beating the levels with a few minutes to spare. It wouldn't take long.

Jigen got hit by a fire ball and died. There were no lives left, so he couldn't come back in. The music sped up, signaling that they had less than 100 seconds left. Between the slight nervousness the faster music caused in him and the hard-to-dodge fire balls that Bowzer was throwing, Goemon died. He considered getting up and going to the restroom now, but there might be a chance that Lupin would gather enough coins to get a 1-up and bring them back in.

Lupin ended up falling off the edge and failing the level. Goemon quietly excused himself to the restroom, hoping the others couldn't see the wet spot. Once he got his relief, he checked his white hakama to see how bad it was. There was a small wet spot in the crotch area, but if he changed, they'd know notice for sure, and that would just delay the game further. He walked back to the living room and sat on the couch, relieved that there wasn't a wet spot on it.

Lupin was getting worried about Goemon. Was he going to the restroom again? That was the second time in half an hour! He knew the samurai had a small bladder, but it was never this bad. Was something wrong? He decided not to say anything this time, but if he went again soon, he would ask him about it.

Goemon's face was burning. He could feel Jigen and Lupin looking at him. He kept his gaze on the TV, trying to ignore them.

"You ready to play some more?" Lupin asked cheerfully. Goemon nodded, picking up his remote. They restarted the boss level. They managed to beat it with over 200 seconds to spare this time. Goemon made it maybe another 20 minutes before he had to go again. Embarrassed, he excused himself again at the end of the level. At least this time, he didn't leak.

"Hey, buddy, are you okay?" Lupin asked worriedly when Goemon came back into the living room.

"Yeah, you've gone to the restroom three times in the last hour," Jigen pointed out.

Goemon nodded, face on fire. "I'm fine." He sat back down on the couch.

"Are you sick?" Jigen asked at the same time Lupin asked, "Do you still feel like playing?" Not sure if Goemon heard either of them, Lupin decided to combine the two questions. "Look, if you don't feel well, we can turn the game off," he offered.

Goemon shook his head. "I'm fine. I can still play," he insisted. He was actually enjoying the game. Lupin and Jigen both gave him looks of worry and disbelief.

"Can you at least tell us what's wrong?" Jigen asked.

Goemon couldn't look at them. "I-I think it was the Dr. Pepper," he said quietly. "I don't know anything else it could be."

That made sense to Jigen and Lupin.

"So you should back to normal soon, right? It just has to get out of your system," Lupin said.

Goemon nodded. He hoped that was the case.

Lupin took them to the next level on the game. Before he entered it, he asked, "Do you need to go again before we start?"

Goemon nodded, blushing. He knew it had only been a minute or so, but he did already have to go again. He went to the restroom and came back, then they started the next level.

They played for a few hours, with Goemon having to go every 5 to 20 minutes, before his bladder finally started acting right again. Jigen and Lupin didn't said anything else about it. They were just glad he was okay. They both kept an eye on him, and Lupin would even pause in the middle of a level and tell Goemon to go if he noticed him getting desperate, but that only happened once or twice. When he stopped going every few levels, they were worried at first.

After they played eight levels in a row without Goemon getting up, Jigen decided to reassure him, in case he suddenly felt like he was being annoying or something.

"Goemon, you know we don't mind waiting if you need to go, right?"

Goemon blushed and nodded. "I don't need to." As embarrassing as it was, he was rather of happy about it. It took half the day, but he was finally back to normal.

Did 50 pulls and I'm impoverished. But finally got what I needed especially Hakama Mario (item 86) and Aurora Rosalina (item 89). There are only 7 pulls left in the pipe with one high end kart inside. I think I'll leave it there...

Also got duplicate P-Wing and Peachette (item 92)... well well.

YES I KNOW I MADE A MODEL OF HAKAMA LUIGI A YEAR OR SO AGO, But Sometimes I Wish An Official Model Of Hakama Luigi By Nintendo Would Surface. Like How There Are Official Hakama Mario Models Of Mario Kart Tour & Super Mario Oddysey, And Hakama Luigi Is Only Seen Via 2d Art (Fanart Mostly). Sometimes I Just Wish This Would Exist, Like You Have Hakama Mario, Kimono Peach & Yukata Daisy.
