Y'know I just realized the people coming from Mando watching Ahsoka are going to be so confused by Jacen without the green makeup/visible pointy ears or any context regarding Kanan.
Yes, this boy looks human. Yes, his mother's a Twi'lek. No he's not adopted, that's her biological son. We don't know why he looks so human when other Twi'lek/human hybrids don't either but we love him dearly and we miss his dad. And also because we like making jokes about the animated model of him having the color scheme of a carrot. Yeah, this is, uh... this is one time the switch to live-action might've benefited the character design a smidge. 🤣

CIA Agent Nathanial Ford
Agent Nathanial Ford, a master of disguise at the CIA, sat at his meticulously organized workbench, surrounded by an array of tools and materials: silicone molds, fine human hair, a palette of skin tone pigments, and dental caps. His latest mission required him to infiltrate a high-stakes criminal syndicate in Moscow, Russia—a role that demanded not just linguistic fluency but an entire physical transformation to match.
The assignment was to pose as Dimitri Ivanov, a mid-level operator within the syndicate known for his dealings in illicit arms. Nathanial's task was to gather intelligence on the syndicate's connections with corrupt government officials. To become Dimitri, Nathanial would need to master not just the Russian language, but also the specific Moscow dialect, characterized by its sharp intonations and swift, clipping pace.
First, he focused on the facial hair. Years ago, Nathanial had undergone a beard transplant to enhance his ability to grow thick, authentic facial hair. For this role, he needed Dimitri’s signature look: a dense, well-groomed beard that was slightly graying at the edges. He began with a testosterone regimen weeks prior, ensuring his natural beard matched the density and style needed, then dyed it to achieve the perfect salt-and-pepper effect.
To achieve Dimitri’s receding hairline, Nathanial underwent a temporary hairline modification using a technique involving electrical follicle manipulation. This non-invasive procedure adjusted the growth patterns of his hair to mimic a receding hairline, creating a natural appearance without the need for prosthetics like a bald cap. He carefully blended his natural hair with additional strands that matched the texture and color of Dimitri’s hair, ensuring a seamless appearance.
Next, he prepared the ear and teeth prosthetics. Dimitri had distinctly large, lobed ears—a feature that could draw attention if not replicated accurately. Using silicone molds, Nathanial crafted oversized ear prosthetics that attached with special adhesive strong enough to integrate with his skin for extended periods. The teeth were another critical aspect; Dimitri had a noticeable gold cap on one of his upper molars. Nathanial created a set of dental caps, including the gold one, which could be worn comfortably for days and would withstand detailed scrutiny.
Adjusting his height was the next step. Nathanial was naturally 5'10", but Dimitri was known to be a slightly imposing 6'1". Using specially crafted shoe lifts that fit inside his boots, Nathanial managed an additional three inches without compromising his ability to walk naturally. This adjustment required Nathanial to practice Dimitri’s walk, which was a confident, slightly lumbering gait that suggested years of physical labor.
Once the prosthetics were ready, Nathanial applied them himself and tested them extensively to ensure they remained securely attached to his body. Sometimes, the prosthetics were worn for so long that his skin began to integrate with them, a testament to their durability and his commitment to the role.
The final touches involved accessories that would round out Dimitri’s persona: a vintage Soviet watch, a worn leather wallet containing family photos and membership cards to various local establishments, and a set of keys to a nondescript, slightly rusty Volga sedan.
As Nathanial reviewed his transformation in the mirror, fully morphed into Dimitri Ivanov, he practiced his dialect again, ensuring every inflection and nuance was just right. The reflection showed not a CIA agent, but a Moscow native, ready to delve deep into the dangerous underbelly of Russia's criminal world. His preparation complete, Nathanial was ready to step into a life that was not his own, armed with nothing but his wits and his impeccable disguise

Lookalikes
The first are aberrations, unmistakable for anything but monsters. Too many limbs, not jointed right, one emerging from behind another in escheresque interlocking knots. Smeared eye-shapes in elongated faces.
A handful of scattered reports, monsters spotted lurking on the edges of towns, in treelines, on hilltops, on top of abandoned buildings.
They get better.
Soon the forerunners are mistakable for humans. At a distance. Until they move. They still move wrong, sliding from one shape to another. Get close enough to see their faces and they are obviously inhuman. Eyes too large, mismatched, moving independently to watch in multiple directions. The hands are mere tangles of finger-colored protrusions.
They get better.
More numerous too. They are spotted in corner shops, hiding their malformed faces beneath hoodies that blend seamlessly into skin at the wrists. At bus stops and busy stations. Startled, they turn their heads one-eighty, grinning leers with layers of teeth behind teeth.
They get more aggressive too.
Panic spreads like fire. Curfew and martial law.
No one sees where they come from or where they go. And they begin to speak. Borrowed soundbites at first, like recordings. A child’s voice from a man’s frame.
Where did you go?
Don’t be scared.
Help me! Please, help me!
They get better. They start to innovate. The sentences they assemble are nonsense at first, words strung together without order or meaning. But they get better.
They look human at a casual glance now. The shapes are right, the motions are – mostly right. Perhaps too jerky, or too smooth. Perhaps they seem like they should overbalance but they do not.
No one trusts anyone anymore. Strangers are held at gunpoint on thresholds until they have been thoroughly inspected, thoroughly questioned.
The faces give it away still. Too many teeth, or too few. An ear folded like crumpled paper instead of like the folds of an ear. No eyelashes, just a smear of darker colour like faint eyeliner. The skin itself is pigmented where the hairline begins.
The hands too. Six fingers, or eight, or fewer than when you looked before.
It is a bad time to have a congenital deformity, or any condition that changes the shape of the face, or even a strange birthmark. Not all the deaths are from the invaders.
And they get better.
Their voices are flawless now. Their sentences complete. They do not just parrot words to blend in. They lie. They manipulate. No one knows their goals.
It is getting harder and harder to detect them. Official guidance is to interact with no one you do not already know.
The faces on most of them are convincing now. Often strangely bland, perfectly symmetric, that’s a warning sign. It takes close inspection to find the faults. Does the skin lack pores? Do the sclera lack blood vessels? Was that movement there just quick or was it impossibly quick?
For now, they are still picked up at checkpoints. The fingerprints wrap around to the backs of the fingers. There is no space beneath the fingernails. The eyelids cannot be lifted from the surface of the eye.
But they are still getting better.

Yeah okay maybe I am brainrotting just a little bit [2]
Hybrid Batch!AU by @squad-724 officially occupied my brain for the near future and I'll make this everyone's problem
A bit of details - consider this an interpretation and/or headcanons:
> It seemed logical to me to extend the hairline down to the jawline in sort of sideburns, given that Zygerrians are actually covered in fur. Crosshair's hairline goes from the back of his head thinly along the spine and up to the tail.
> Zygerrians also often have pigment spots at the base of their ears, and males often have spines near their chins. Crosshair has no spines, but does have pigment spots.
> Classical scaled Zygerrian ears, also a bit more flat nose to match the race phenotype.
> White eye base due to albinism.
> "04" tattoo and earrings are my personal headcanons, so don't mind me. :D

The Art and Science of Hairline Restoration Scalp Micropigmentation
Hair loss and thinning hair can significantly impact one's self-esteem and confidence. Many individuals, both men and women, face this issue at some point in their lives. Traditional solutions like hair transplants and wigs can be costly, time-consuming, and often yield less than perfect results. Enter Hairline Restoration Scalp Micropigmentation, a revolutionary technique that offers a non-invasive, affordable, and highly effective solution for hairline restoration.
What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropigmentation, often referred to as a Hairline Pigmentation or Scalp Micropigmentation Tattoo, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the application of specialized pigments to the scalp. This creates the appearance of hair follicles, giving the illusion of a fuller head of hair. Unlike traditional tattooing, SMP uses advanced techniques and equipment designed specifically for the scalp, ensuring a natural and realistic look.
The Procedure of Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
Hairline Restoration Scalp Micropigmentation is a detailed and precise process that requires a skilled practitioner to achieve natural-looking results. The procedure involves several steps, each crucial to ensuring the success of the treatment. Below is a comprehensive overview of the SMP procedure:
1. Initial Consultation
Purpose: To assess the client’s needs, evaluate their scalp condition, and discuss their desired outcome.
- Assessment: The practitioner examines the client’s scalp, hair density, and hair loss pattern.
- Discussion: The practitioner and client discuss the client’s expectations, desired hairline design, and color preferences.
- Plan: A customized treatment plan is created, outlining the number of sessions required and the expected results.
2. Preparation
Purpose: To prepare the scalp and ensure the client is ready for the procedure.
- Shaving: The client may need to shave their scalp to create a uniform canvas for the micropigmentation.
- Cleaning: The scalp is thoroughly cleaned to remove oils, dirt, and any residual hair products.
- Numbing Cream: A topical numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
3. Pigment Selection
Purpose: To choose a pigment that matches the client’s natural hair color for a realistic appearance.
- Color Matching: The practitioner selects a pigment that closely matches the client’s natural hair color and skin tone.
- Test Patch: A small test patch may be applied to ensure the pigment matches perfectly and to check for any allergic reactions.
4. Application
Purpose: To deposit tiny dots of pigment into the scalp, mimicking the appearance of hair follicles.
- Micro-Needle Tool: The practitioner uses a micro-needle tool specifically designed for Hairline Restoration Scalp Micropigmentation. This tool creates tiny impressions on the scalp.
- Technique: The practitioner meticulously applies the pigment in small, layered dots, building up the density gradually. This process is often referred to as pointillism.
- Sessions: The application is typically done over multiple sessions (usually 2-3), each lasting 2-4 hours, depending on the area being treated and the desired density.
5. Aftercare Instructions
Purpose: To ensure proper healing and optimal results post-procedure.
- Avoid Moisture: Clients are advised to keep their scalp dry for a few days, avoiding activities that cause excessive sweating.
- Sun Protection: Direct sun exposure should be avoided, and clients should wear hats or use sunscreen when outside.
- Gentle Cleaning: The scalp should be gently cleaned with mild, non-abrasive products.
- Avoid Picking: Clients should avoid scratching or picking at the scalp to prevent pigment loss or scarring.
6. Follow-Up Sessions
Purpose: To refine the results and address any areas that need additional pigment.
- Touch-Ups: After the initial healing period, clients return for follow-up sessions to adjust pigment density and color as needed.
- Longevity: While SMP is designed to be long-lasting, touch-ups every few years may be necessary to maintain the appearance, as the pigment can gradually fade over time.
Benefits of Scalp Micropigmentation
Hairline Restoration Scalp Micropigmentation offers numerous benefits that make it an attractive option for those dealing with hair loss:
- Non-Invasive: Unlike hair transplants, SMP does not require surgery or incisions, making it a safer and less painful option.
- Quick Recovery: The procedure has minimal downtime, and most clients can resume their normal activities within a day or two.
- Cost-Effective: SMP is generally more affordable than other hair restoration methods.
- Immediate Results: Clients can see noticeable improvements immediately after the first session, with full results visible after the final session.
- Low Maintenance: Once the desired look is achieved, SMP requires minimal maintenance. Touch-ups may be needed every few years to maintain the color and density.
The Rise of SMP Training and Certification
As the popularity of Scalp Micropigmentation grows, so does the demand for skilled practitioners. This has led to an increase in specialized training programs and certification courses. A comprehensive Hair Pigmentation Course covers various aspects of the procedure, including:
- Skin Anatomy: Understanding the structure and function of the skin is crucial for performing SMP safely and effectively.
- Color Theory: Knowledge of pigments and how they interact with different skin tones ensures natural-looking results.
- Technique: Hands-on training with micro-needles and other equipment helps practitioners develop the precision needed for SMP.
- Client Consultation: Learning how to assess clients’ needs and design personalized treatment plans is essential for success.
Perfect Eyebrows Microblading
In addition to scalp micropigmentation, many practitioners also offer eyebrow microblading, another form of cosmetic tattooing that creates the appearance of fuller, well-defined eyebrows. Perfect Eyebrows Microblading uses a similar technique to SMP but focuses on the delicate skin around the eyes.
Combining SMP with Other Cosmetic Procedures
Scalp Micropigmentation Tattoo can be combined with other cosmetic procedures to enhance overall appearance. For example:
- Hair Transplants: SMP can be used to create the illusion of density in areas where hair transplants may have left gaps.
- Eyebrow Microblading: Clients who undergo SMP often seek complementary treatments like eyebrow microblading for a cohesive look.
- Beard and Facial Hair Micropigmentation: Similar techniques can be used to fill in patchy areas of facial hair.
Choosing the Right Practitioner
Selecting a skilled and experienced practitioner is critical for achieving the best results with Hairline Pigmentation. Here are some tips for choosing the right professional:
- Credentials: Ensure the practitioner has completed a reputable Hair Pigmentation Course and holds relevant certifications.
- Portfolio: Review before-and-after photos of previous clients to gauge the practitioner’s skill and style.
- Reviews: Check online reviews and testimonials to get a sense of the practitioner’s reputation and client satisfaction.
- Consultation: A thorough consultation should address all your questions and concerns, and the practitioner should provide a clear treatment plan and pricing.
The Future of Scalp Micropigmentation
The field of Scalp Micropigmentation continues to evolve with advancements in technology and techniques. New developments include:
- Improved Pigments: Formulations that last longer and maintain their color better are continually being developed.
- Advanced Equipment: Innovations in micro-needles and application devices enhance precision and comfort during the procedure.
- Expanded Applications: Beyond hairline restoration, SMP is being used for scar camouflage, alopecia, and other medical conditions.
Conclusion
Hairline Restoration Scalp Micropigmentation represents a groundbreaking solution for those struggling with hair loss. Its non-invasive nature, cost-effectiveness, and impressive results have made it a popular choice worldwide. Whether you are considering SMP for yourself or looking to pursue a career in this exciting field, understanding the intricacies of the procedure and the importance of proper training is essential.
By choosing a qualified practitioner and maintaining realistic expectations, clients can achieve remarkable transformations that boost confidence and enhance their overall appearance. Bloodcaste Details (Blue)
Most Blues have more 'complex' horns, branching, splits or hooks on the horn- they also tend to be around the same length- only about as tall as their face, never much longer and not often shorter. Multiple Pupils or in some cases, extra eyes are found throughout.
Aegean
The rarest sub-type! generally also female/feminine presenting (though not exclusively women). The highest percentage of -fold vision users in the caste, thought most are quite weak. Curly hair is pretty common, along with multiple pupils in the eyes/strange eyes in general. Quite a few have slightly tinted fingertips, but not a large majority. Generally 2 or 3 sets of fangs (2 on the top, 1 bottom or 2 on the top is the most common arrangement). Long eyelashes, especially the lower lashes being notably prominent is also, very typical.
Cobalt
The largest sub-type, and typically male or masculine presenting. average body types and stature, maybe on the taller end of average. Occasionally seen with extra eyes but this is a very rare trait. hair tends to be slightly curly- around a 3a, but having 'mixed' hair, parts being curlier then the rest is quite common, mostly having wavy hair and then a lot of curls or ringlets around the hairline or front! Cobalts tend to also have more pointed fingertips along with claws. Tend to have Extras eyes over multiple pupils but both cases are pretty rare.
Prussian
Sometimes more heavy set/chubbier, between straight and wavy hair. Known for high pain tolerances- which leads a lot of Prussians to get more tattoos or piercings then some other sub-types. Narrow eyes, and oversized fangs are quite common along with freckles and some have 'pale streaks' where some hair doesn't have pigment! white/light grey patches, generally only one or two either in the front of the hair or somewhat symmetrically on the sides/back. These patches aren't generally very large and can be easily passed off as a dyed stylist choice since the white hair takes colour very well!
(Note that most traits are merely common, not exclusive to that sub-type. example; Prussian may have pale streaks, but a grand majority actually don't, and there are Aegeans with the white haired patches! its a pattern in the caste but not a set rule!)

semi-organized thoughts on angel arm activation, plant biology, and vash in general
transcript + extras under the cut
ANGEL ARM ACTIVATION
(Based on the event colloquially known as the “Fifth Moon Incident”)
1.
Catalyst is uncovered, exposing it to light
Chain reaction begins which starts energy conducting through the chamber and into the arm
2. Primary Stage
Catalyst chamber (gun) begins to be enveloped into hand
Gun and hand/arm can still vaguely be made out
3. Secondary Stage
Gun is fully enveloped and can no longer be seen
Shape of the Angel Arm starts to form
4. Tertiary Stage
The Angel Arm is fully formed
Neither the arm nor the gun’s shape can be seen
The activation process cannot be stopped after this point
5.
The Angel Arm splits fully in four places and elongates, revealing the new core
Senses (sight, hearing, etc) are enhanced to a painful degree
6.
A field of light and force is emitted that can be seen/felt from far away
Mild destruction of the surrounding area starts
7.
The Angel Arm fires, with an involuntary wave of regeneration energy as recoil
Reopening of old wounds and extreme hair growth can occur
8.
The arm fuses back together and returns to its original state with some scarring
9.
An unconsciousness state lasting anywhere from 1 week to 6 months begins

Plant Biology and Bulb Structure
Taking Inspiration from...
Cyanobacteria (Cylindrospermum):
First organisms to produce oxygen on Earth, like the Plants were a major source of oxygen on the Planet after the crash
Often extremophiles, which includes desert environments
Used in agriculture for nitrogen fixation (basically free fertilizer), possibly how geo-Plants function
Hydras (Hydra vulgaris):
Extraordinary regeneration ability
Functionally immortal in stable environments
→ With the help of a Plant bulb, Knives was able to recover the portion of his body that was destroyed in Lost July.
A Selection of Plant Facts...
Can perform photosynthesis using pigments similar to carotenoids, phycobilin, and phycoerythrin
Found mostly in cells on the surface of their bodies
Have very slow metabolisms unless under stress conditions or unique circumstances
Rapidly mutate to adapt in unstable environments
Outdoors Model (Inepril)

Wandering Plant (Vash the Stampede)
Industrial Plant (Soleil, Plant 2 of the Flying Ship)
Clothing Discussion
Exhausted and heavily injured, Vash was discovered wandering the desert by the Flying Ship crew.
The most severe of the injuries were on the left side of his chest, so the clothes made for him while recovering were designed to be put on with one arm (his right). This was coincidentally beneficial in the future.
The coat is fastened with rows of snaps, and the tails of the coat can be torn off in case of emergencies. (Generally, not all at once though.)
This outfit allows for more freedom of movement, which complements his level of flexibility. It also helps with escaping from the many, many dangerous situations he gets into.
The majority of Vash's outfit under his coat functions as compression gear to help with recovery and mitigation of the pain of all the injuries he's gotten over time.
For example, the design of his top allows for different levels of compression and support on either side of his chest.
Even with all this gear, some pain does occasionally slip through, particularly in the arms, back, and knees.
Extras
Starting with the fun ones, which are mostly bits of information I wasn’t quite sure on putting into the lore or not.
Fun facts with Vash and Meryl or its alternate title: “What I was doing instead of studying for my Molecular Biology final” (may not be 100% scientifically accurate)
Saw an article talking about an art exhibit of a chandelier made up of glass filled with algae to purify the air (though the purification was primarily converting excess carbon dioxide to oxygen and not anything else)
Trying to imagine Vash’s daily getting dressed routine
Okay, now for the serious part. I feel a bit strange classifying this as an extra because that has a lighthearted connotation, but it wasn’t really something I could represent through drawing. Discussion of heavy mental health stuff ahead...
Much later on in this speculation project, I began to consider the possibility of Vash having some sort of obsessive-compulsive tendencies. This whole train of thought started when I saw someone’s art of Vash with cleaning -related compulsions (self harm warning as per OP’s tags), or at least that’s how I interpreted the comic when I first saw it. As someone who experiences something mildly similar to this on rare occasion (though the thought process behind it is much different), it really stuck in my mind personally.
To take what that person said in a slightly different direction, I think Vash could have some washing/cleaning-related compulsions in regards to his “everyone he touches dies” assertion. It is unfortunately kind of true because of his long life and tendency to be in dangerous situations, but I can imagine it getting folded into an obsessive-compulsive cycle over time. He touches someone or someone touches him, that thought enters his mind, he goes to wash himself in response or obsess over the thought if not able to, and then so much of the time that person will get hurt, reinforcing the cycle.
Having the Angel Arms get activated outside of his control probably induced a lot of anxiety and obsession over harm into Vash as well, especially when he was forced to go against his no-killing thing because of Legato.
And that’s the end. If you made it all the way here, thanks for reading!
