i wrote my first (and only) svsss fic gently in the cold dark earth ! the fandom was so nice to me, and its surprisingly active for the most forgotten of the mxtx trilogy. scum villain nation is so alive you love to see it

till you can breathe on your own i think. since it was for a gift exchange, i kept going back to edit and add to it right up until the deadline like a creature possessed. so it was technically in-progress until like 5 minutes before i hit post

To no one's surprise, I have not finished the first part of the Hadestown AU, so here's team rancher designs.

They will be drawn as rats, because I'm me, and I already have rat designs for nearly every life series character, but very few human designs. But I started making designs specifically for this AU during the 1 week since March that I drew humans, so you get human (kinda) drawings.

The first 2 drawings are yellow-life ranchers. I don't know why I did that; they aren't going to be yellow at any point in this comic. But the third is red life tango.

The first part is going to be 6 pages and they've already been sketched out, so hopefully I can get it out soon (although my friend/beta reader/person-who-listens-to-all-my-rantings keeps telling me to "not overwork myself." sighs/(light hearted)).

sooo interested in eurydice & the argonauts

!!! Eurydice and the Argonauts is my Hadestown fix-it AU where Orpheus doesn't turn and so they return safely and continue to live their best lives...until Orpheus' ex-bf Calaïs comes to find him. I've actually already posted the first part of the series (three....years ago....), but the rest of the AU will follow Eurydice as she gets to learn more about Orpheus' past, and eventually meet the rest of the Argonauts!

Here's a little snippet of the next fic in the series:

Eurydice leaned in to sneak a kiss into Orpheus’ hair, her heart melting at the pout on her husband’s lips.

“Just teasing, lover,” she cooed, clearing the tray in her hands when she rounded the counter. “You heard Calaïs say it himself last night: he's not looking to date.”

“I didn't say that,” Calaïs muttered, sipping from his third cup of coffee. “I'm just not looking to date Orpheus specifically. For very obvious reasons.”

“Huh, I wonder what.”

Orpheus tugged at Eurydice’s wrist with a sigh. “Eurydice…”

“Still teasing, love.”

Perhaps it was cruel to jokingly poke at the two men’s past if they were any other couple and she was any other wife. But Calaïs never took offence, merely deflecting her words with his own snark while Orpheus just seemed relieved that the two people he had cared for the most in his life were getting along. Seeing him get red-cheeked and flustered was certainly a plus too.
