Hadaaka no Yuusha translyrics - Ranking of Kings OP 2
Heyo! Was working on these awhile back. There's a couple of spots I'd like to touch them up, but I figured I'd share what I've got going. You can use these if you want, if you credit me (as CapRat)! Let me know if they're unclear at any points. :)
Lyrics
Verse 1
Why are you hiding tears behind a smile
You're holding them back
You're choking them back, but why
Prechorus
If you had might, would you fight?
Cast out the dark malevolence
If you can't hear their cries
could you be worthy then of them?
If you look deep inside,
You'll be your own lynch pin
You can try, trust your instinct and strike!
Chorus 1
All my love, the bonds I hold true
And even this curse, I'm born to bear through
just be enough, in all that I do
Give me the strength to defend all of you
Verse 2
These tears were cooped up lost behind a smile
They're flying away
Now they're flying so far away
You're losing ground again and again.
You're trying to breathe
Please, you've gotta breathe
For me
Prechorus 2
(So you would shed your tears, but stand up for nothing
Pass strength as grief, when push comes to shoving)
When your heart's breaking down
what more use is there for loving?
(So we would shed our tears, but stand up for nothing
Be skeptical, or hit the ground running)
Or we could carry all the hope we can hold!
Chorus 2
All my love, the bonds I hold true
And even this curse, I'm born to bear through
just be enough, in all that I do
Give me the strength to defend all of you
Bridge
I had a tiny sword I thought could save them all
I couldn't fight, it's so corroded and small
I felt so comforted, in the shadow they left behind
But I'm discovering for them I need to shine
Chorus 3
All my love, the bonds I hold true
And even this curse, I'm born to bear through
just be enough, in all that I do
Give me the strength to defend all of you
You have the might, So you fight
Cast out the dark malevolence
You may not hear their cries,
But know that you're worthy of them
Keep looking deep inside
You'll find me there within
I cannot stand it when some may not take the chaos threat seriously enough. It is not a joke, and the lives lost to it are not jokes to be made. It is something that must be taken with the upmost seriousness. The extermination of chaos is not an avenue for fame or fortune. It is a duty that humanity must bear.
Leitmotif - What song best represents them? Why?
((It USED to be 裸の勇者 (Hadaka no Yusha) by Vaundy - it's just a really good song for a loving hero! But since it's a Ranking of Kings opening... I think the second best thing would be The One Reborn. It doesn't quite speak of their motivations, but it does one thing very well. It's very good at highlighting the horror that Soleil is capable of being, especially in battle.))
Meaningful Name - Is there any in-universe or out-of-universe reason for their name?
Is the eclectically mixed East Asian pop playlist something you’d feel comfortable linking for us to listen to?? I understand if you don’t want to because it’s not easy to share anonymously
I would 100% link it if I weren't one of the last holdouts in the world who refuses to use a streamed music service. This playlist is achieved by setting on shuffle the following artists/albums:
SHINee (Atlantis, The Story of Light, 1 of 1)
Key (I Wanna Be, Bad Love, Gasoline/Killer)
Onew (Dice, Circle)
Minho (Chase)
Taeyeon (INVU)
Le Sserafim (Antifragile)
Seulgi (28 Reasons)
Hyolyn (iCE)
Nayeon (IM NAYEON)
Vaundy (strobo, Hadaka no yusha)
Fujii Kaze (Love All Serve All)
Aimer (Walpurgis)
Hitsujibungaku (our hope)
natori (singles: Overdose, Sarushibai)
Dreamcatcher (songs: Red Sun, Boca, Piri)
*Playlist is in-progress and ever-expanding. I add to it based on recs from friends and things YouTube gives me that actually make me perk up and switch over to the tab to see who it is multiple times. This reminds me I was going to add some iri to this mix.
Related playlist with a very different vibe: Asian Post-Rock (toe, Zhaoze, Hyakkei)
For a while I had promised my DnD group that I'd make a rough Stroyboard of a fake anime opening for our Group game, The Outcasters. So I spent a weekend thumb roughing this quick and dirty fun piece. I enjoyed making it quite a lot because it was like going back in time and also showing off some new events in our story. As I've said before This game has been going for 5 years and still going strong. Level 18 players now and this game has literally changed my life. Characters are Darek, Ashryn, Aloe, Kreebo (Jean-Bob) and Alastair.
DISCLAIMER: Song used is Ousama Ranking's Second opening, "Hadaka No Yusha" by VAUNDY. I did purchase the song from I-tunes to use, but this is not for monetization what so ever, just for fun and practice. If told to take down I will. (Please don't haha)
(Tag game I accidentaly put on queue insteant of draft)
rules: make a new post and spell out your url with song titles, then tag as many people as there are letters in your url!
