Background:

Yuna was born into a family of renowned swordsmiths in a small village nestled in the mountains. From a young age, she was fascinated by the art of swordsmanship and the stories of the Demon Slayer Corps. Her father, a master swordsmith, crafted her first Nichirin blade when she was just ten years old. Tragically, her village was attacked by demons when she was twelve, and she lost her entire family in the massacre. This event fueled her determination to join the Demon Slayer Corps and avenge her family.

Yuna trained relentlessly, mastering her breathing technique and honing her skills. Her dedication and natural talent quickly caught the attention of the Hashira, and she was taken under the wing of the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. Under his guidance, she developed her own unique breathing style, which she named Star Breathing.

Relationships:

-Best Friend: Kyojuro Rengoku (煉獄 杏寿郎): Yuna shares a deep bond with Kyojuro, who not only mentored her but also became her closest friend. His unwavering optimism and fiery spirit inspire Yuna to push her limits and stay true to her mission.

Love Interests:

-Tengen Uzui (宇髄 天元): Yuna's path crossed with Tengen during a joint mission to eliminate a powerful demon. Impressed by her skills and determination, Tengen invited her to train with him and his wives. Over time, Yuna developed a deep bond with Tengen, finding in him a strong and supportive partner.

-Makio (まきを): Yuna and Makio share a mutual respect and admiration for each other's strength and bravery. Their relationship blossomed into a deep and loving connection.

I’ll eventually get the hang of this

So I rewatched Yuukaku episode 9 for depression science reasons and I noticed something interesting :

When Inosuke uses the "Explosive Rush" in the battle against Daki, while Tanjiro and Zenitsu are covering him, he doesn't use his usual "kiba/fang" before the attack's name. He actually says "hachi no kata", instead of "hachi no kiba" as he would usually say.

The only usual occurence of this happens when he uses the seventh, "Spatial Awareness", which is always a "form" and not a "fang" (the wiki has that listed correctly too). I assumed that was intentional from Inosuke, because that form is the only part of Beast Breathing that isn't meant for attack, so it would make sense that he sets it apart from the rest. The eight one, however, ought to be always be fang because it's probably the most beastly one of all, where Inosuke rushes headlong without a care for the enemy's attacks.

So why would he call it a "form" here? Why would he suddenly revert to the word that every other slayer uses, when he's always so proud of being different from the rest of them?

I believe that it's all in the context. Never before has Inosuke so voluntarily entrusted his life to someone else, let alone to two humans. At this very moment, Inosuke entirely lowers his guard so he can focus on only one thing: attack, attack, attack. His life is out of his own hands.

He is one of them. He's a member of the Corps, he's a member of a crew. Zenitsu and Tanjiro are not only his underlings, they are his comrades. His trusted companions.

Inosuke doesn't feel the urge to set himself apart. If anything, he desperately, more than ever before in his life, need to belong. He's spent the entire battle hearing about their forms, and all of a sudden, when teamwork has never mattered more and he's launching an attack alongside his two best friends, simultaneously... he doesn't need to set himself apart anymore. And that's how his subconcious brings forth a form rather than a fang at this specific moment. He reverts to a fang right after, when he reaches Daki's neck.

Either that, or his voice actor got confused. We'll never know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i try to keep my readers as ambiguous as possible (no pronouns, names, physical descriptions, etc) unless otherwise stated at the beginning of the work. however, i am female, latina, short, and bisexual so my writing may sometimes speak to my own experience/identity.

unfortunately, i don’t take requests (except for my recurring follower milestone event, see here for more details/availbility). it’s just hard to meet specific requirements for what everyone wants to read. i do welcome suggestions submitted to my inbox, though, as those are usually more vague and easier to write if they inspire me :)

Demon slayer oc thing

Hi so uh- i lost my drawing glove and is drawing with my bare hand for a few days until a new one arrives (im drawing witha drawing tablet btw and its not fun at all)

in the mean time i introduce you to Ryoko Hachiro aka my demon slayer oc cause im pathetic like that

Somethings about Ryoko:

Ryoko is a 20 year old Hashira and the wielder of Feather Breathing (originally known as Swan breathing by her ancestors)

Personality wise, Ryoko is a very enthusiastic yet slightly annoying person to be around with. Love talking to passers by but has a slight fear interacting with men due to her childhood trauma (still talk to some that she feel more comfortable with/during mission if needed to)

She's blind on one eye hence the eyepatch. there's an obvious double scar under the covered part of her eye. Everyone ask why she wears them if there's no function to it at all and her respond is, "it made me look cool"

Ryoko Hachiro, or Hachi-san (used by comrades that knows her), prefers to use hand fan with a sharp blade at the very end of it as her weapon of choice. she still keeps a nichirin blade around in case of emergency + she hates hot weather btw

Her hair is slightly slanted. it's very obvious once she turns around

Her brother canonically died but like... What if he's alive?!?! Coming soon in the cinema's in 6D 🌻
