Just a quick little stan...

... for a productivity website I've been using called Habitica.

Habitica provides ways for you to incorporate an rpg-esque game into your daily to do list. You set up your lists of tasks, pick a class, join up with a party if you like, go on quests, take on challenges, and every task you tick off earns you gold, experience and mana. The site makes it a little more fun for me to get things done and gives me a wee seratonin hit when I check off a to-do.

As for why I'm bringing up Habitica today, welp, I'm posting my avatar (☝️☝️☝️) as part of a site-wide April Fool's challenge. That's me up there in my teapot outfit, bouncing on bubbles with my dragon pet who was turned into a cup of tea by, yes, the April Fool. Never let it be said I can't commit to a bit.

Anywoo, I'm off to resist the Diversionoids to get me some solar system hatching potions. If you have any questions about Habitica, feel free to ask!

((The Habitica April Fool turned all pets to fruits and vegetables on @habitica yesterday! So I took a quest pet along (the base egg) and dressed myself for a food-themed day with a pie hat, carrot sword, and plum shield on an apple orchard background!

Then I had fun with CSS and tried to code the fruit pets into a user style for use later--that’s what the second picture is because I changed to a different coordinate on the sheet to make sure the rest of my code was working. o.o

Then I went completely hog-wild and for fun I tested out CSS that makes the flower transformation item, Shiny Seeds, change users into their class’s fruit from April 2014 instead of flowers like it usually does. The last two images are the mage and warrior flavors of that done to my test account!

...I feel like I’m not supposed to have this much unbridled fun doing something as dry as coding. XD))

I was just talking to my boyfriend yesterday about stupid company April Fool jokes versus harmless and fun/cute April Fool jokes, so today I had to tell him about the Habitica April Fool joke which was definitely the latter. They turned all the pets into fruits and veggies. Of course I had to go with the dragon-turned-dragonfruit, in appreciation of the cleverness. And of course I had to put on all my fruit-and-veggie-themed gear to go with it.

The habit tracking app I use, Habitica, changed the pets all to cute little fruits and veggies! My little dragon turned into a dragonfruit! So cute!!
