ok but you know what's kinda funny??

this past week and then again when i started the episode i was thinking how there hasn't really been much interaction between mawin and tinh? like, we're in episode 8 already and i still don't feel like tinh likes mawin back (in a crush sort of way)?

and the funny thing is that roughly halfway through the episode i was contemplating this and then went "ok but what if. and hear me out. mawin and ton lmaooo". bc they've been interacting quite a bit recently, you know? and i was just mostly thinking that as a joke

AND THEN. IN PART 4. MAWIN AND TON?? HELLO?? MAWIN GETTING STOOD UP BY TINH?? TON RUNNING INTO MAWIN AND HANDING HIM THE FLOWERS???? HELLO?????????

Honestly, I always thought it was a bit funny that "2 Phút Hơn" gets remembered for the hip sway meme (the original animation was from Me!Me!Me) when the song is about a melancholic tale two lovers who can only meet and love while under the influence of alcohol" and how "See Tình" is a song about the complete insanity about love at first sight.

The latter's dance is so funny to me because I remember the days when it initially just lifted the "Sorry Sorry" dance before spawning into it's own dance.

I might be finding amusement that these songs are like really popular on tiktok and I'm just sitting here knowing the narrative of these songs.

Một ngày rảnh rỗi viết cho tuổi.. sắp 30. Ngày này nó đến nhanh hơn mình nghĩ tỉ tỉ lần.

Đầu tiên, chúc mừng cty đã trải qua một năm nhiều biến cố nhưng vẫn đạt được kết quả xuất sắc. Mình vẫn mến cty, yêu thương trân trọng những người ở đây. Chỉ là sao mình không còn thấy nhiệt huyết, niềm vui trong công việc-kiếm tiền nữa. Dấu hiệu để năm sau tìm thử thách ở vị trí mới chăng ?

Về thói quen, năm nay chắc phải tính là năm mình lười nhất trong tất cả các năm. Không thấy làm gì mà toàn chơi bời tiêu sài. Đầu óc bắt đầu nhảy số chậm hơn, nói năng cứ dính cục dính chùm khó chịu thật sự ý. Chắc phải bắt đầu bằng việc ngủ sớm và mai đi làm đúng giờ dù đã 00:15 rồi. *nốt hôm nay*

Về những mqh xung quanh, mừng là theo thời gian mn vẫn còn đó bên mình, không biết thân hơn không nhưng thôi cũng có nhiều kỷ niệm hơn. Mong cho mn luôn khoẻ mạnh vui vẻ, đặc biệt là gia đình và những người mình trân quý. Vẫn là lười, vẫn là không mở rộng thêm mqh nào.

Còn chuyện tình cảm thì thôi đi ha. Không biết nói sao nhưng vẫn cứ nên lưu lại đây vì biết đâu ngày nào đó mình vào lại đọc, mình sẽ ký đầu mình một cái.

Kết năm, thôi cũng vỗ tay vì mình và mn đã cố gắng *hoặc không :)))*.

Legendary creatures: Kitsune, Kumiho, hồ ly tinh, and huli jing

Fox spirits such as kitsune (狐, きつね) of Japan, kumiho (Hangul 구미호 or Hanja 九尾狐) of Korea, hồ ly tinh (狐狸精) of Vietnam, or huli jing (狐狸精) of China are shape-shifting fox spirits, usually having nine tails. They are typically tricksters that can be either benevolent or malevolent.

The oldest version of the nine-tailed fox spirits was from China. The first story that has the juli jing was the Shanhaijin (山海经 Classic of Mountains and Seas) which was compiled sometime in the fourth century BCE, but the currently known form wasn't completed until the early Han dynasty (202 BCE - 9 CE). It contained stories fables of the pre-Qin dynasty (prior to about 700 BCE). It says '靑丘國在其北其人食五穀衣絲帛其狐四足九尾。 The Land of Blue Hills lies to the north where the inhabitants consume the Five Grains, wear silk and worship foxes that have four legs and nine tails.' The nine-tailed fox was seen as a good omen, only appearing in times of peace. However, it also says 'Three hundred li [150km/93.2 miles]farther east is Qingqiu Mountain, where much jade can be found on its south slope and green cinnabar on its north. There is a beast here whose form resembles a fox with nine tails. It makes a sound like a baby and is a man-eater. Whoever eats it will be protected against insect-poison (gu).' During the Han dynasty, the mythology added the ability to shape-shift into humans as they became older, one description of which was by Guo Pu (郭璞, 276-326 CE) 'When a fox is fifty years old, it can transform itself into a woman; when a hundred years old, it becomes a beautiful female, or a spirit medium, or an adult male who has sexual intercourse with women. Such beings are able to know things at more than a thousand miles' distance; they can poison men by sorcery, or possess and bewilder them, so that they lose their memory and knowledge; and when a fox is thousand years old, it ascends to heaven and becomes a celestial fox.'

Fox worship arrived in Japan sometime during the Jomon period (14,000-300 BCE) as evidenced by necklaces including canine teeth and jawbones of foxes. Stories from China were brought to Japan by merchants who traded and brought in as kyuubi no kitsune (九尾の狐, nine-tailed fox). In the Nihon Shoki (日本書紀, the Chronicles of Japan), which is the second-oldest book of Japanese history, mentions foxes twice, both times as omens. It records that in 657 a byakko (white fox) in Iwami Province was a good omen. In 659, a fox bit a vine a construction worker and it was seen as an ill omen. There were tales of kitsune turning into kitsune nyoubo (狐女房 fox wife) that are revealed as foxes after pet dogs that were recorded in the Nihon Ryouki (日本霊異記) book of fables during the Heian period (recorded between 787-824).

The Hồ ly tinh have specific ages that they have to reach to gain their tails. They must practice for a hundred years to have three tails and be considered a 'demon fox', for a thousand years to become a 'ghost fox' with six tails. When it gains nine tails, it's considered a 'celestial fox' and can turn its tails into humans. If the fox loses its tail, it dies. In the Đại Việt sử ký toàn thư (chữ Hán: 大越史記全書, Complete annals of Đại Việt), compiled in 1697, states that Emperor Lê Thái Tổ was saved by a hồ ly tinh when he was hiding in Lam Sơn from the Ming army. He took the time during his hiding to bury a girl in a white dress and that a white fox distracted the army when he was almost caught.

The kumiho are able to become beautiful women who seduce men to eat their liver or heart. The Chinese story entered into Korea during the Three Kingdoms period (삼국시대, from about 494-562) and state that foxes become kumiho with great age and become stronger with that age, too. The kumiho were largely viewed neutrally, though self-centered in their need for human organs and souls. It wasn't until later that they were viewed as evil, bloodthirsty fox-human hybrids that might turn into humans if they can avoid eating human flesh for a thousand years. Something unique to the kumiho is that they develop and pass along 'yeowoo geseul' (여우구슬, 'fox marbles' that they give to and then take back from humans by an action that looks like kissing. It can only remain in the human part of the chain for a year before it can kill them completely. When it's returned to the fox part of the chain, the human has no memory of the yeowoo guseul or the kumino.

Last week, Ongsa took the big lie too far for me. They all attended Sun’s birthday party, and Sun explicitly asked Earth to attend the party as well. Ongsa failed to tell Sun the truth, let Sun cry, and continued the lie even further. Aylin got picked on again, but Luna has decided she’s not going to let that happen on her watch.

I like Alpha getting Aylin to go talk to Ongsa.

I feel so bad for this poor dog. He is panting in every scene.

The person who posted that Ongsa is losing to herself is so correct.

Episode 6: The Apocalypse

Ah, yes, the boys have also fallen in the makeup wars. I get that beauty product companies help fund our shows, but goddamn.

I respect Mawin for outing himself rather than be misunderstood as straight and interested in the wrong person.

Shout out to my boy Euro for having Mawin check out Tinh when he wasn’t looking.

I don’t mind meddling in this case, because it’s clear Ongsa is too paralyzed to move forward on her own. Still, I feel bad that even more people know before Sun even though I am amused that this sleepover is high-key turning into a double date.

Okay, Luna, that was a really decent opening you created there. I love the way View is playing Aylin’s increasing frustration with Ongsa. That lean over was great.

This bedroom scene is solid emotional work for View and June. I’m starting to see the vision.

Không thể tin được là, mâu thuẫn nội tâm cuối cùng của năm 2024 của mình, lại là có nên mua trà sữa uống không.

Mình phân vân từ lúc ăn xong đĩa cơm tấm bự tổ chảng về, suy nghĩ xem nên đi ngủ sớm hay thức khuya thêm chỉ vì mình thích vậy. 

Kết quả là vào lúc 20 giờ 30 phút, ly trà sữa nguyên lá đã yên vị trên bàn, cùng mình đi qua những con chữ tạm gọi là tổng kết năm 2024.

Mình vẫn chọn ở một mình như những năm trước, nhìn ngẫm lại mọi thứ trong không gian riêng mình với nền âm thanh là tiếng reo hò, cười đùa của đám đông ngoài kia. 

Nhưng căn nhà của mình đang ngồi thì quá yên tĩnh và ấm áp, đây lại còn là một khu vắng vẻ ở Đà Lạt, nên cái âm thanh nền kia hầu như là không có. Cũng được. Cũng được.

Mình cũng chẳng biết tổng kết gì, sau rất nhiều ngày ngồi xuống trò chuyện cùng những người bạn mới và nói về chặng đường đã qua. Việc tổng kết với mình chưa bao giờ dễ dàng cả, bởi việc sắp xếp những sự kiện đáng nhớ thành một đoạn văn ngắn gọn, súc tích là một việc khó làm chứ hông dễ.

Năm 2024 của mình là một năm tuyệt vời, như kiểu cuộc sống chỉ mới thực sự bắt đầu khi mình đặt những bước chân đầu tiên đi ra khỏi vùng thoải mái.

Có thể những năm trước mình còn chưa lớn và còn quá thờ ơ. Cũng có thể năm nay mình đã dạn dĩ đi vào cái vùng không biết ở bên trong mình ấy. Cái vùng chứa nhiều nỗi sợ, sự hoài nghi, những nỗi đau, đồng thời chứa nhiều sự chân thành, bao dung, tin tưởng, dũng cảm nữa.

Năm 2024 gặp nhiều người nhưng cũng cách xa nhiều người, và một số ít trong đó đã trở thành những kết nối sâu sắc cho tuổi 30 của mình. Như những rễ cây nâng đỡ nhau dưới mặt đất không ai thấy, nhưng mình luôn cảm nhận được những bàn tay đan vào đón lấy mình.

Những lần rời đi, những sự mất mát chạm vào những tổn thương tưởng chừng chẳng còn gì phải bận tâm nữa. Và những lần “đến”, những cái “được” không kỳ vọng gì lại thắp lên chút hy vọng nhỏ nhoi trong lúc chiêm nghiệm, nghĩ suy.

Sự biến hoá này nhìn bằng mắt chẳng bao giờ có thể thấu được, mà phải tự mình đi qua, đắm chìm trong đó, rồi vươn lên từ đó, thì mới có thể hiểu chút chút về sự đổi thay này.

Quao, viết một hồi tự nhiên thấy như đang viết truyện viễn tưởng ha. Mọi người đọc vô chắc không hiểu gì haha.

Nhưng nếu đúng vậy thì mình thấy vui nha, vì đó chính xác là những gì mình đang nhìn-nhận ở ngay lúc này.

Có lẽ là vì điểm giao giữa năm cũ sang năm mới, nhiều thứ cần phải kết thúc trước khi đồng hồ nhảy sang 0 giờ 0 phút. Có những cái thời hạn vô hình, mà những đến-đi vô hình cần phải hoàn thành. 

Điểm giao thoa này luôn hỗn độn, và yeah, sau sự hỗn độn sẽ lại là một khởi đầu tinh khôi.
