Hi everyone, So last year was about transitioning and preparing for this year. Today is day one of my journey to lose weight . You can follow my weightloss journey daily if you would like to.
I woke up and hooped for thirty minutes with water. I then had my tooth infection med in peanut butter crackers with water . Then I had scrambled eggs with honey wheat Toast and ketchup .
Now I'm having a summit citrus twist can of soda and will officially log everything to know what I had today before making my pasta dinner . Please get your specific goals from your doctor. Mine told me for my current weight,height and activity level that my calorie intake should be 1,300 per day. Always ask your doctor before starting any new exercise as they know u and your medical info and are medical professionals. I am not a medical professional. For those who asked I am using apps called Fatsecret and Yuka. Yuka tells u if a food is "excellent", "good" ,"poor" or "bad" and fat secret helps u monitor what u take in . It measures all the food for u such as the perfect of carbs fat and protein as well as how much Potassium,salt etc.. you've had to eat. It also helps u stay on track while eating out by searching where you're eating example wendy's it'll give u items that fit your daily needs. I also use pedometer step counter and my personal goal set by doctors is 10k steps a day but I'm trying to hit my fitness goals yet as if I go too fast I'll be off track. I'm also on a spiritual journey as well. I want to get closer to the lord and read and understand my entire Bible in just one year. Sounds like alot but isn't really. For those who asked I got my weighted hula hoop here . It takes a while to get use to and ALWAYS ASK A DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IT OR ANY NEW FITNESS/CARDIO . But once u get use to it and know how to position your body [my sister helped me ] its really fun and u can share with friends and family they just take off or add links to the hoop. My current link count is 29. My scale at home lies so for now I will only go with the doctors scale for official weigh ins until I find a scale that works for in home weighing. My last appointment was a wake up call for me. My current weight is 401.4 pounds. I have an issue with my thyroid and uterus. The issue with my thyroid is it makes me super tired and it makes it harder to lose weight etc.. [still learning] my uterus thing is called "Endometrial hyperplasia without a typia " I'm still learning about this but Back when I first got diagnosed it meant having a period for a year+ non stop. That is what it took for doctors to take my concerns seriously. For months I didn't have a period after "progesterone " injections/needles I only had a few as It was proven dangerous for me . I started to gain weight,my teeth started breaking due to calcium deficiency etc... idk if all are linked to it or not but they and I decided to take me off it slowly I didn't have many but they said it would be bad to just stop them so they gave me less each visit. I have ALOT working against me this year but I'm not giving up. I'm sticking to it! I began with designing the layout of the app. Considering the elements and the functionality that the app would have.
Seeing as I wanted to create a pedometer which tracks your steps, I implemented a step counter on the home page. Using some skills developed from the collection=interpretation brief, I created a circle which would fill up as you walk, giving a visual response to the user as they progress.
However in order for the circle to fill up to 100%, there would have to be a goal / max progress limit. I did a little research into the amount of steps required each day to be considered active.

I came up with the name stepz as a placeholder until I find a potentially better name through the development process.
How the app functions:
Each day, a counter tracks your steps. The radial in the middle of the home page fills up as your progress towards 10,000 steps.
For each 1,000 steps, 1,000 credits are rewarded to the user. I decided to create a separate currency instead of just using the steps as a currency as it could be confusing between what your daily steps are and your total.
You are only rewarded up until 10,000 steps to prevent anyone potentially cheating to get unlimited credits.
The credits can be spent in the rewards tab for discounts at stores etc.
This would include partnerships with local businesses, which would help support local businesses as it provides a further incentive for users to potentially shop somewhere they regularly wouldn’t.

okay no i'm adding onto this because the information online isn't necessarily conflicting, but it's extremely vague. i tried using a rubber band to make my character run in circle for like an hour and a half, i tried the pokécenter thing, i even just tried walking around normally and nothing worked. you wanna know why?
so pawmo needs to walk 1000 steps in "let's go mode" to level up, right? well yes but my god is it not that simple, especially just going by word of mouth.
the game doesn't save the amount of steps your pokémon walks. i'm not just complaining about the lack of a pedometer like in dppl. i mean it fully doesn't save internally. the methods i mentioned to get the steps are fine, but you can't then just go into battles to level it up. you have to level it up while it's still outside its ball (using zr or r doesn't seem to make a difference). running into a pokémon, even if pawmo's currently outside the ball, doesn't count. it doesn't help that it's so slow, meaning that you also have to go slow, or it'll recall and reset your steps.
i personally walked the length of mesagoza four times at walking pace and then immediately used a rare candy.
how i imagine gamefreak expected this to go was that you'd let it out to gather items and do battle as you walk along a "route". it would accumulate experience and evolve while it was still out. the main issue though, is that it's still in your party. and once again, battling a wild pokémon yourself will reset the counter.
it seems simple, sure. walk 1000 steps in one go and then level up pawmo without recalling it. well yes, it is simple. extremely simple. but it was not communicated clearly at all by what i found online.

My vivoki bit it and I swear to god I am tired of all the horseshit surrounding ~~fitness trackers~~. YOu know what I want??? A STEP COUNTER. A SMALL STEP COUNTER THAT WILL CLIP TO MY BRA STRAP, THAT’S NOT EASILY SEEN. I WANT IT TO KEEP TRACK OF MY STEPS. I DO NOT NEED FUCKING EMAILS ON MY GODDAMN PEDOMETER. I WOULD BE THRILLED IF IT UPLOADED A COUNT TO MY PHONE. I can even convert steps to calories myself!
It’s impossibly hard to find something discreet. When I started tracking steps YEARS ago because I was underweight* and my doctor suggested I was probably moving a lot more than I thought**, fitbit and all that horseshit was in its infancy, and so it was pretty easy to find a step counter that you couldn’t easily see and just...tracked steps.
BUT OH THEN THE FUCKING FITNESS WATCHES. SPOILER ALERT: YOU LOOK LIKE A FUCKING GOOB WITH YOUR FITNESS WATCH. THEY DO NOT LOOK COOL. Honestly, if I see someone checking emails on their watch my eyes roll into space like jesus fucking shit do you really need instant knowledge of your orwellian hell device who are you Elon Musk get a grip BUT I DIGRESS. THat’s a smart watch thing in general but basically all fitness trackers now are trying to be smartwatches. I do not! Want one! Honestly if I could just get a small bird to follow me and notch every hundred steps on a rock I’d be delighted.
So enter the vivoki, by garmin. I was OBSESSED with this thing, I’ve used it the last four years.
Clipped easily and discreetly, only tracked steps, the little lights meant you were at 20%-40%-60%-80%-100% of whatever goal it is you set, uploaded to your phone when tapped. Perfect. Iconic.
But they keep crapping out on me because garmin basically isn’t supporting them anymore, because they are small and cheap-ish. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE AVAILABLE EASILY. IT IS CHEAP AND LOW TECH. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO BUY SOMETHING WITH THESE CAPABILITIES FOR FORTY FUCKING DOLLARS. I will never buy another fucking garmin product again, because I am fucking INCENSED about how they’ve handled this whole vivoki thing.
NOT THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR ME AS ALL THEIR OTHER PRODUCT ARE ~WRIST WEARABLES~ NO ONE LOOKS GOOD IN THOSE UGLY SILICONE BANDS and the ~LUXURY STYLES~ DO NOT LOOK LIKE A NICE WATCH THEY LOOK LIKE A FUCKING UGLY ASS SMART WATCH WITH A SHITTY FAKE FACE. So now, here I FUCKING am, having to buy a goddamn Fitbit Inspire because it’s the only tiny clip on I can find and I am DONE with garmin’s horseshit, AND IT GETS FUCKING EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS. A dear friend had died and I had basically decided that starving myself and binge drinking was a great coping mechanism. I, obviously, straightened the fuck up and got right with god, because here I stand, but gaining it back was difficult because drinking is kinda the only high calorie thing I REALLY enjoy, which is true to this day. So gaining myself into “healthy” was a whole thing.
