I do find it kinda funny that if you play as a fem hobw you don't get a ladies maid, you still get Jasper. It implies that Logan just doesn't not know enough about other nobility to know that most brothers in his position would have hired a woman to take care of their sisters, not their advisors boyfriend.

Surprised no one has done an otome isekai inspired by Joan of Arc yet. Warrior maid. Early feminist, and a symbol of freedom and independence. Peasant girl chosen by God as his instrument. Saintess that was burned as a heretic at the stake. Several impostors claimed to be Joan of Arc after the execution date, even gaining the support of her brothers. That's a classic isekai formula.

I can't help but see an echo of Ruth and Naomi in Judith and her maid. Ruth following Naomi into the unknown, into danger. Naomi trusting God with the future of her people, Ruth trusting Naomi with the future of herself.

Of course, the comparison can only go so far. Judith's servant was, after all, a servant. To our knowledge, she did not have the same agency Ruth had. She does not get to speak, she never acts on her own, we don't even know her name.

Still, we don't get an indication she was unwilling. That she didn't want to do this. Judith called, and she followed. Judith walked, and she walked with her. Judith did, and she assisted.

I don't hate designs like this. But I see so many maid designs like this and it drives me crazy. This is what I dub the fetish maid where it's obvious the artist was more interested in making a design that was sexy instead of a good maid design. Again this in of itself isn't bad. But I'm tired of the majority of maid designs following this philosophy. You can have your cake and eat hers too, but I'm here looking for pie and I am not amused.

about cat maid daryl...do you think that goo turns everyone to cat maids or is it like Tokyo mew mew where their they're own animals? eg doggy rock maid? (also will there be more skrunkly in the future 👀)

ooh thank you for the ask! the concept in my head was that the goo caused daryl to grow a tail and cat ears, but the maid part was all him. like maybe something about maid outfits scientifically proven to cause increased efficiency in cleaning, and he doesn’t care about the form just the function

i really like this tokyo mew mew concept… i also prefer yours for the implication that daryl has to go through a magical girl transformation sequence to get in the maid outfit. i wonder what animals everyone would be…………

there will definitely be more scrunkly in the future, in the meantime here is a lil sketch now :D
