WHATS DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS ONE?

Whenever i would see a DTIYS, i always wanted to give the artist a lot more freedom. Like extra wiggle room for the artist to just have fun. SOOOO for this one…

YOU CAN SWITCH ONE OF THEM (ink/blueberror) OUT FOR ANOTHER CHARACTER!

So lets say you didnt feel like drawing blueberror, and think it would be more fun to draw error there instead, then just. DO! DO IT!!! Maybe you want it to be Swap and Blueberror, YOU have the freedom! Or maybe you want to even switch it out for a character in a COMPLETELY different fandom! DO IT OOO IM MIND POWER BEAM BOOOM..ALSO! Redesigns dont count as a seperate character. (DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE??)

Keep at least one character the same, just so i know its for this competition!

Full video of the DTIYS by Hiro-Doodlez! Pictures are great and all, but it's really something special to see it move around and fold and behave like fabric!

Aaaand she's done!! (These tags are intense) I'm very pleased and proud to make my art debut! 🍾 this is the very first DTIYS I've ever participated in!

This piece is done using fabric and appliqueing the fabric to the background. The background details and the color details are all done using a technique called thread painting. Thread painting is just as it sounds like, you thread your machine up and move the fabric around freely, using the needle as the "brush".

I'll admit, this IS technically tracing. I printed a larger version of the original art and, using a light box, traced everything from the paper onto the fabric, cut it out, then sewed on top.
