His real name is Rodimus/ 'Rod' (yes ofc its after the Transformer)

He's British

He and Beju are in a relationship

His ass got two degrees and he was in an internship under Professor Toad (I combined the two Toads professors from color splash/origami king into the same character because I do whatever I want)

This isn't canon now but back then I gave him a robot arm. He used to have a steampunk type of aesthetic so I thought it would only fit

Out of the Toad Brigade, he just seems to be the type of guy who's really handsome and attracts a lot of attention from girls to me lol

The Toad Brigade, as seen in many recent Mario series games, consists of six members: Captain Toad, Toadette, Hint Toad, Banktoad, Mailtoad and Yellow Toad, each of which have a unique color scheme (in addition, Purple Captain Toad appears as a separate character in two-player contexts, who also has a unique color scheme). As such, there are no two Toads of any single color on the brigade.

However, in the Lost Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey, which features the Toad Brigade, two blue Toads appear. The footage starts showing off one of them, and speeds up to show Mario moving to the location of the other. The second Toad is the established Hint Toad, who also appears in other locations in the game. The first blue Toad, who does not have glasses, appears only in this location.

This makes this blue Toad either a unique extra member of the brigade who only appears in this one location, or the result of an oversight whereby the developers forgot that the blue Toad from the brigade is already present, and placed another blue Toad into the area.

Wanda, Poplin, and Hint Toad!

I actually didn't pick these characters out of a hat! They all share the fact they're related to Toad(s), and also, they don't usually get lots of fan art despite being skrunkly as hell.

Wanda is Toad's partner in Wario's Woods, Hint Toad is part of Toad's Brigade, and Popling... sorta looks like Toad, right?

Waking was slow. He was… dazed. He certainly didn’t feel well. By the tube in his mouth and down his throat he’s been out for a long time. Enough to force his body to take subsidence. Other tubes were in… other places.

The details are fuzzy to him right now. How he got here. Why he’s in a bed like this. Clearly his body was not okay.

Jiraiya looks around slowly before his eyes rest on the woman resting on his bed beside him. He’s in the hospital with his girlfriend watching over him. Given he was comatose his brain was taking a moment to fully fire up. He didn’t feel much pain. He was either healed already or on some very good shit.

He’d hate to wake her. Clearly Aina has spent any free moment she has to be with him. But if the roles were reversed he would want to be woken up the moment she was awake. Weak… very very weakly he manages to shake his hand since she’s still holding it.

cappy marioodyssey being based on navi from OoT is funny to me because navi (and her sequel game palette swaps tatl and tael) are an instance of me playing a game as a kid and going "wait these are fully sapient people that can talk and have thoughts and feelings and emotions and family/friends. isn't the way that they're perceived and treated and remembered compared to the more humanlike characters kind of fucked up lol. what's their deal" in almost the exact same way that I did when I played Mario Odyssey and got bizarrely attached to Cappy off the back of that reason (granted there is a major distinction there that bonneters are definitely considered people way more in-their-universe than zelda fairies are, though i don't think a lot of mario fans externally really think of cappy as a person)

-Has been with Captain since the start, first one to be found by him when they were all escaping Peach's castle

-Used to be a royal guard, did not enjoy his time there as he sucked due to his poor vision

-Him and Green are the brigade's mechanist/scientists, liking to test new gadgets in their lab to help on adventures

-Has a crush on the captain (shh, don't tell anyone)
