what if the creatures of Hunters Unlucky had Shelts (faunlike creatures) in the style of Wefrivain/Panamindorah?

First one’s a possible version of the Telshee, Keesha. Probably being a nosy nuisance on purpose to an offscreen Arcove. Long white hair on this species seems fitting, they’re sirens after all, as does the beard for someone who is the eldest waking Telshee. Big pupils for underwater eyesight, and a slightly greyer skintone like a seal’s. Clothes omitted because I can't think of any that wouldn't get in the way of swimming good, and it fits the mythical creature feel.

Second one’s a foraging Ferryshaft. Probably pretty thin and leggy fauns, even if a bit small. They’d make a weird faun that’d be hard for people to categorize, with their animal counterparts being omnivores that hunt and having the more wolfish tail. Braid for practicality, and loose simple clothes that allow for a good range of motion, and running. I started coloring him and then realized due to palette and clothing choices they accidentally look exactly like one of my own characters, so I just leaned into that. Their name is Virgil.

mental health talk (nothing drastic dw)

oh i am definitely having Some Kind of a Time lately with constant wild mood swings between "i am the smartest funniest human being who's ever lived wheeee this is awesome!!" and "fuck me fuck my life i'm so fucking annoying oh my god can i just shut up forever". (sometimes it's both of them at once. those times are a lot.)

pretty sure this is some kind of menthol illness symptom but like. not one of the ones i've already been diagnosed with. so that's fun 🫠 (also pretty sure i've been here before but i can't say if it happens with any kind of regularity.)

the other thing is that i'm maybe starting to actually want things in life again? gonna be real mad if that's just part of some kinda Episode and then once it's over i go back to demotivated depressed sludge hours 24/7 hhghhhhh

because there were stories i wanted to read but couldn't find!!! i had this specific idea of some story that i was really into, and i couldn't find anything even similar, so i decided to give it a try myself. ahhh memories :')

very simple and very chill, just sitting on my couch or maybe at my desk, some music playing quietly in the background (generally dependent upon the mood of what im writing!)

so many!!! i went a little ham on this bc im doing 3 different fandoms but I also limited it to 2 recs per fabdom so at least I've got a little control fjsjjf

anything by idratherhaveyou!!! I've mentioned them before I sure but their works are just INCREDIBLE. they are one of the few authors that I have genuinely checked their page for more fics right after finishing one because o simply scored their style and their plots and their characterization and UGH

also BIG recommend to "even in another time" by @irregularcollapse !!!! the amount of thought and work and care that went into this fic???? it's fucking insane. the story is gorgeous and had me on an emotional rollercoaster and I can NOT wait until they start posting "a storm that took everything" I am SO excited
